Im taking this as a chance to finally ramble abt her anyways so Janet's core inspo when designing her was to avoid 2 key things. Don't make her like Immortal & Th Restless's Clara (due to clara representing michael, not mrs afton, so i wanted to avoid that), and don't base her too heavily off of Ballora. I still have ties to Ballora's character (a music-based theme, blue-centric colour palette, im sure there were more basic ideas but everything else is more hc than themes to keep up) due to my hc thingy of each Funtime having ties to William's wife + kids, but yknow.

But yeah. Funky lady who played bass guitar + did backup vocals in a band during her high school and college years. Literally her and William dating can be summed up by "Seriously, what do you see in that guy?!" "He makes me laugh." bc she was and is WAY out of his goddamn league. Not just bc of the whole serial killer thing he was just an even bigger loser in college. Normal people dont develop a crush on a woman after she nearly breaks your nose and makes you bleed, William /j

But yeah uhh. I also dont like the idea of her being absent or neglectful purely because I got way too attached to her (i was originally gonna do that just to make things easy for myself but. Pretty lady,,, I am a very simple lesbian what can i say) so like. She obviously wasnt the greatest, most fantastic mom to ever exist given she was kinda maybe sorta well aware William was making some weird fucking clowns, but like. Hey. She tried. Also side note my reasoning for her being absent during the whole. Yknow. '83 event (and just evan's bday in general) is bc Evan + Elizabeth are twins and Elizabeth demanded a girls-only trip for her bday, and Janet promised Evan she'd do something just as special for him when she got back. That never happened bc he died lmao loser /j

But yeah uhh. Shes got a lot of regrets. Wishes she coulda done a lot of things better. Kinda dies with those regrets. Ive seen people say that one of fnaf's charms is that no character is 100% good and i LOVE that, and wanted to keep it up with Janet. Good mom and overall a good person, however made some bad decisions along the way and whatnot.

Im still working out specifics (ive been slowly working on a lil private fic abt her and william meeting + their early relationship) but uhhh. Minor notes that dont get their own paragraphs is that William sampled her voice for Ballora so yay easy voice claim, she had an on and off relationship with her band's lead singer (her name's Bev), her birth name is actually Janice Schmidt but if you call her Janice she'll knock at least 2 of ur teeth out, she's a runaway teen and got adopted by this older couple bc her home life kinda sucked (idk specifics yet), and also girlie has an extensive criminal record of minor angsty teen type charges. Also teen Mike dying his hair and then 2020's Michael's hairstyle are both kinda references to Janet's hair because he wnated to look less like his father. Thats all ty. Actually no theres more that im remembering as i write the tags and edit a few details. Back to her and William because god im insane about them. So for starters it. Well i was gonna say Janet was def the first to flirt but i think William definitely developed a crush first and they only kept talking bc of said crush so its kinda up for debate. Anyways yeah at first it was a HUGE sorta like "Well he's funny especially when I fluster him so this can be just a fun lil thing" but because they chatted more they def kinda like. Clicked more. important first note, quite a few of my decisions were because i was trying to get women in here and it was getting desperate because i had to cut out a lot of women for only being "just some guy" because they were written by a misogynist that made her sit on the sidelines and cheer for the male leads. anyways on to the actual contestants im gonna start with the characters that have been causing the most people to start up shit about them not being just some guy

barry bluejeans (taz balance): 2 submissions, personal bias. i think a lot of people are misunderstanding what this tournament is tbh. this isnt about the "normal" characters, tho normalcy does play a factor in it. this is about dudes who are just some guy. there is a difference. barry is a dnd npc who wears blue jeans in a fantasy world and he loves his wife. yes he is a lich. yes he is involved in the main plot. he's also just chillin. like if the plot didn't happen the way it did barry would be playing sudoku or crosswords. he'd be an average man in a very fantasy world. he is so average and human its funny. he is just some guy

tommy (hlvrai): 1 submission, personal bias. his just some guy energy is so there. he gets a propeller hat that does nothing when all of his crew is getting cool guns and upgrades. his life goal is to go home and take his dog for a walk. he gets a chuck e cheese birthday party. he sounds like he's going to burst into tears at any moment. compared to the rest of the crew, tommy is comedically just some guy

ulala (persona 2): 1 submission, description swayed me. it described the list of characters in persona 2 and ulala was just "your roommate that wanted to go to a party". that's hilarious. also i was getting fucking desperate for women that didn't suck ass as i stated above

apollo (ace attorney): 2 submissions, personal bias, descriptions swayed me. yall the submissions for him were so fucking funny. he's just a lawyer. he just wants to do his job but he lives in the ace attorney universe so everything is fucked all the time. he would've been a normal lawyer if he hadn't met phoenix wright. he's just chillin.

phone guy (fnaf): 2 submissions. he was the only character from fnaf that got more than 1 submission and there were like 9 fnaf submissions i kinda felt bad tbh. he was also the best example of just some guy out of all the fnaf submissions

gordon freeman (hlvrai): 1 submission. he is a guy playing a video game. he is the straight man to the rest of the crews antics and by god he plays his role well

so i look up the wiki for this kid andrew, and it leads me to a story about a ghost kid attatching himself to william aftons spirit and torturing him and shit. i was a bit confused bc like. isnt that cassidys thing? but Whatevs. also the stories seemed weirdly bizzare to me, like not in a hateful way but like. why is william afton getting an exorcism. anyway it brings up a couple (A LOT) of names i dont understand, but what my brain latches onto is this kid jake, who is described as forcing andrew to Stop torturing english willy, at the cost of Now Hes Stuck Possessing An Endoskeleton. okayyy this is fnaf to me. i didnt know this but its abt what i expect from five nights at freddys.

so i head to jakes wiki out of curiosty, and find out he is from, no joke, one of the most fucking depressing stories ive ever read? i dont mean in terms of fnaf, i mean, FUCKING EVER. JESUS. CHRIST.

this story is called “the real jake” and i Highly reccomend you read the wiki instead of hearing it from me like. fourth hand. like im retelling a retelling here. but if you want that ultra telephone sypnosis, here you go:

“the real jake” follows a nine year old boy who is bedridden. with cancer. his mother is dead and his father is overseas. jake is taken care of full time by a nanny, margie.

jake likes to talk with a boy in his cupboard, named simon, who is really his father over the phone, through a walkie talkie. at first, jake and “simon” talk about what jake has done that day, but jake cannot leave his bed, so jake gets frustrated that all his stories are so mundane and depression. so one day simons like, okay, tell me what the REAL jake has done. and its a little game of pretend, where jake tells these silly little stories about what the “real jake” did that day. one day, jakes friend tries to get him to sneak out to go to the arcade, and tries to get him there by dragging him in a wagon, but jake is too weak to make it to make it to the wagon and collapses and throws up, and he explains to margie he wanted to be the real jake for a day.

at some point jake and margie are playing chess, and jake gets super frustrated that he cant see straight. margie calms him down and jake tells her that he loves her, causing margie to break down, and then she Later Finds Out The Doctors Are Ceasing Treatment For Him, which makes margie realize she loves jake as a son.

AND THEN MARGIE GETS THE CALL THAT JAKES FATHER WAS FUCKING KILLED. and she has full custody of jake. she cant bring herself to tell him his father died, so she says simon wont be able to visit for a while.

AND THEN JAKE FUCKING DIES.

AND THAT IS IT. THAT IS THE END OF THE STORY . THEY JUST MOVE ON AFTER THAT. HOLY FUCK??? A long time ago, I saw a post on reddit asking who had it worse, the missing children or the fallen children

The general concencus was that the missing children had it worse, i agree with that but its closer for me than for most people

I think the reason people dont talk or realise how fucked up the fallen childrens tragedy is, is because Undertale isnt as dark as Fnaf, at least for the most part, sure it has dark shit but i dont think its as abundant or important as in Fnaf, that and that the fallen children arent really brought up much despite how important they actually are

Being hunted down, killed, have your soul put in a jar, be there for who knows how long being experimented on from time to time, being absorbed and used to destroy the world against your will, only for then to finally be free and move on to the afterlife, being denied from the life you deserved and to never be able to see your loved ones again

Thats definetively fucked up, maybe not as much as what the missing children went through, but still fucked up

HH thoughts before the finale

I think lute is the big bad of the series, SHE'S the one who killed vaggie and presented the dead body to adam as if she didn't do it and how they talked in the first episode implied that adam wasn't aware of the betrayal, I think lute is pushing the "they killed on of us" narrative to adam and he just assumes that she left to be in hell.

2. I think the reason why adam is so childish and is in heaven to begin with is because he didn't eat the apple, so he's basically to dumb to know right from wrong.

3. One of the mains dying isnt a garentee (yes I know I spelled it wrong shut up)

4.I think itd be really cool if we did the thing the fnaf fandom did when the movie came out and just make a bunch of bullshit fake spoilers and quotes from the movie lmao.

Im sitting in bed fighting a headache that could be from stress or dehydration or the last remains of the fucking concussion ive been recovering from and im so mad and bitter. Im so tired of having to be here and live like this. This family despises me, my boss sucks, my pay is ass and i have people depend on me. The irony isnt lost to me, shit pay, shit workplace and a job bigger than i am, yeah i sometimes get lost in my head thinking about how nauseatingly similar this is to then, but i cant afford to dwell for long.

I dont Get to be tired of it all for longer than an hour at a time if im lucky. I dont get to be scared like i see so many people do.

I dont have the time to be cared for and listened to. If i break down then i wont be able to focus at best, function at all at worst. So [Unfortunately] im on tiktok, and was when the stuff came out about scott.

this was a point in time where the hate for dsmp fans was at it's highest [so far]- important detail. im not sure what happened, but at most what they did and what scott did is about equal [????? dont quote me on that ever, im not sure].

for like a day or two, people were like "fuck scott i hate scott" and then... it slowed down. maybe a week or more later I commented something on a tiktok that was along the lines of 'if you condemn the dsmp fans you should also be condemning the fnaf fans' and someone responded defending the fnaf fans. pretty much anything they said could have been said about the dsmp fans too. [doesnt mean they were right. they werent.]

and now no one cares about what he did anymore, and actively support him, but they still hate the dsmp kids.

tldr: this isn't entirely about people liking fnaf and the other stuff mentioned, it's also a bit about what's popular to like. So many people will only condemn what isn't popular anymore, or what's cringe to like, even if there are very blatant problems.

[Also, stuff that was popular with millennials isnt exactly as popular now. HP not being as popular probably also has something to do with it.]

I wish people had the energy they have for deconstructing and hating Harry Potter could also be directed at Five Nights at Freddy's, considering the creator of FNaF is every bit as much of a transphobic bigot as JKR. And he's even younger and can use his money for even worse shit for longer.
