No, I'm serious. He exists to save the world, having been created for the purposes of trying to cure all known & unknown diseases, specifically Maria's Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

He was named by MARIA, who helped raise him. MARIA. Like MARY.

At the end of his first appearance, which was intended to also be his last appearance, he DIED TO SAVE THE WORLD. And then in Heroes, HE CAME BACK TO LIFE.

This is before we even touch on the Faustian Bargain comment made in Shadow Generations, or the fact that Christianity has been confirmed to exist in the Sonic universe several times over at this point, or Black Doom in the SnapCube Fandub being The Actual Devil From The Bible.

I was going to go to a Lughnasadh/Lammas celebration tonight, but... 1) it's somewhere I've never been before, 2) the friend I thought might be going, isn't, 3) the heat index is 100F right now (at 6 in the evening!) and 4) it's supposed to rain pretty hard tonight. So, nah.

Fingers crossed for trying a new thing in 8 weeks, when they do an autumn equinox celebration!
