"I wasn't being shy, heh." She was just preparing herself for the sleep that was to be ahead. Heh, sleeping buddies. Such a weird concept but at the same time she was so excited that Minato went along with it. Sleep was something that during her shut in days was something that she experienced a lot of and also hated because of the nightmares that she had.

On top of that, the low energy made her sleep a lot, so once she had her change of heart, it did help a bit in that regard. Though she still dealt with lower than normal energy. She was probably just out of shape or something. Pushing that all aside, she physically prepared for a good length nap.

First, she slid her headphones off and placed them on the nightstand, along with her glasses. She wasn't going to need them anymore. Once that was all done, she got herself into bed with him and found the pillow, laying her head down on it nicely. Another yawn escaped her and she was definitely more than ready for a nap. "Our inaugural nap together. Isn't this exciting?"

The second the little redhead leaped into glomp him, he caught her in his arms, a warm smile radiating from his face, with the girl in his arms, hands resting on her back, he did a little spin with her in his grasp before stopping in place, moving slightly back to glance down at her when she looked back up at him, having a sleeping buddy was definitely new to him, but they were already gaming buddies, and since they both enjoyed the luxury of sleeping, then there was no harm in being sleeping buddies as well.

There's a soft chuckle when she asks if they could have a nap right now, her excitement is adorable, this isn't the first time he's seen it, but it never fails to make him smile, too. It was a lot better seeing the young lady with a smile on her face, it was nice to see her breaking more out of her shell, socializing was hard. Being a former introvert, he understood her past struggles with socializing well, she had really come a long way, and he looked forward to seeing what kind of person she would grow up to be. Minato and all his friends had changed so much over the years and made the most of their lives. He couldn't help but wonder what all of her experiences would lead her to reach for in life, too.

Checking the time on his digital wristwatch, he realized it was only just after four in the afternoon, he didn't have to bring her back home until eight in the evening so it seemed like there was time for one nap.

[{ 🦋 }] - "Well, it is only after four. Sure, we can probably do a two-hour nap. My beds already made, I got this new pillow, stays cool and it's big enough for two people, nice and fluffy, too."

Gently pulling back Minato led her to his bedroom, grabbing his black, blueberry print hoodie and threw it on over his black tank top, then plopped himself in bed, turning on his side to face his blue dye oakwood nightstand and set the alarm on his digital alarm clock next to him.

Once the alarm is set, he shifts back onto his back, and glances over at his bespectacled little gamer friend, moving over a bit so there is space for her.

[{ 🦋 }] - "Hop on in Futaba-chan, no need to be shy." He adds, grabbing the new pillow he mentioned, and placing it behind his, a side of the pillow remaining open for her so they could begin their very first nap together.

"No, but I would say there are computer components within a motorcycle that regulate the stuff that you mentioned." She stated simply as he went on about not being able to imagine tearing an engine down. It was no different than her imagining him not being able to understand tearing down a computer but still takes advantage of them.

"No, because that's not the sort of thing that I'm really into. Doesn't mean that I can't look up said information if I really want to though."

"And a cellphone would be a computer too. But most people don't use the word for that, do they?

"And it's not just bikes. Mopeds and motorcycles too. And some motorcycles even have computers built inside of them to monitor internal functions. But you wouldn't look at a motorcycle and go that's a computer.

"You probably wouldn't be able to imagine tearing an engine down and rebuilding, but you still make use of subway trains. Hypocrisy, or intelligence lacking frame of reference."

A shrug.

She was watching from the entrance of Futaba's room as she was playing with her computer. The girl was so preoccupied with it that she wouldn't notice that her mom was watching her. "That girl, she really loves that, huh? Better than tearing apart a computer at school I suppose. Well, I need to get back to work." She would leave Futaba to her own devices as she went back to her cognitive realm research she was doing at home.

I have updated the headcanons page for Futaba to add a bunch more general (and one post strikers one). In addition, I have added a link to my timeline and rambles regarding Futaba's life to the page, and the timeline for Wakaba's life to hers as well. And on top of that I have slightly updated the contact page to reflect my age (30's now...ew...) and the fact that I use bluesky more than twitter. I am capable of doing updates :)

"These are youtube videos Inari. They aren't even mine." An exasperated sigh escaped her as she just stared at him with an increasingly perplexed look. Did he seriously think that ducks didn't fly? She was pretty sure that even Ryuji knew this basic biological fact and the fact that Inari here didn't was just bizarre. "Why would I have edited these? Ducks fly. It's true though that not all birds with wings can fly. Penguins can't. But ducks in general can. Take the L already."

He'd taken her silence to mean the conversation was over. His intelligence must have shocked Futaba enough to stop messing with him, meaning he had won at her games.

So upon her response, Yusuke is disappointed she's fighting it still. "Nonsense, have you ever seen-" Looking over, the video made him the shcoked one. He had only ever seen them floating in the water, or waddling around on land. So what was this? He just can't believe his eyes. Worse than her 'big L' comments, was having his intelligence compared to Ryuji's. "Surely that's one of your editing tricks, or another similar bird? A goose, perhaps? Not all birds with wings can fly!"

He waits patiently in her room as he waited for her to bring a couple used tea cups downstairs. Looking over at the bed, a lightbulb goes off in his head, he has a fun little idea. Chuckling to himself, he hides inside the blanket and pillows of her bed, flattening out enough so she can't tell where he is.

The second he heard her voice call out to him, he made his move, suddenly emerging from the bed covered in a blanket, part of it draping over him, he suddenly grabbed her by the waist, playfully pulling her into bed.

[{ 🦋 }] - "RAWR! You let your guard down Futaba-Chan! Surprise nap attack!"

Spending time with Minato was always good, so when she had to take the tea cups downstairs to make sure they were washed and such, she had a nice little pep in her step. She definitely saw him as a bit of an older brother sort of thing, something she never really had growing up, being an only child and all. Maybe if that was the case she'd have dealt with things better.

But that was neither here nor there.

Making her way back upstairs, she noticed that Minato wasn't really around. Did he silently head downstairs as well? What she didn't know was that he was hiding in the bed, and once she called out for him to make sure he wasn't around, he surprised her and pulled her onto her bed. A little eep escaped her as she was pulled.

Well, she was certainly got, that was for sure. After the initial shock wore off she just started to laugh heartily. "Well, you certainly got me. I was like those guards in a stealth game. Or most of the enemies in mementos and palaces."

"I actually wear these headphones out in public to block out a lot of the noise so I don't get overwhelmed with all the noise. Though when I do listen to music, I listen to a combination of anime and video game music. Along with a lot of Miku stuff and so on."

Pirate AU idea so far: It takes place in a world where old time pirate stuff usually only seen in movies is a thing but modern day. Joker/Ren finds himself taking command of a vessel called the Phantom and overtime recruits new friends to help him as he takes down other pirates who would hurt others and such. There's still an element of personas and shadows but I'm still working on integrating them.
