So does anyone else think about what the Mushroom Kingdom must be like during the events of Super Paper Mario? Does anyone think about how the Void is basically a black hole and should probably mess with gravity and rip buildings apart? Does anyone think about the sky turning red as the wold begins to shake, and all of the Toads huddling together in the castle, boarding up the doors out of fear. Do you think that, during the final battle in Castle Bleck, if the castle is falling apart, Peach can see through the Void and see her kingdom being destroyed? Do you think it even existed anymore at that point? Do you think the Mushroom Kingdom disappeared like Sammer's Kingdom and the Land of Cragnons? Do you think Peach realizes this? Do you ever just. Think about the Mushroom Kingdom...?

The age difference between 10 and 12 or 13 can seem massive to children of those ages, even if it isn't actually that big. Do Casey, April and Karai consider Leo in their peer group or as more of a little brother type figure? How does Leo feel about not being the oldest? 2012 Leo is kinda bossy (affectionate) and very much likes to be in control - is this an issue when he is younger than his human friends?

Leo definitely falls into the little brother category, because you're right. Kids think 2 years is massive. But they also enjoy including him in their peer group because this is Casey, Karai, and April we're talking about. All three are misfits with few to no friends, so they eagerly attach themselves to the boys despite the age gaps. Leo becomes an honorary big kid simply because he's the only one they can convince Splinter to let outside of the lair. Like, into the sewer tunnels or along the subway tracks (though Casey and Karai have zero issue taking Leo to the surface in secret, and while April won't encourage this, she won't stop them either). Leo doesn't care about them being older except when they try to boss him or his baby brothers around (he's pretty possessive of his lil bros and can get real snippy if he feels one of the older kids are overstepping their bounds).

so instead of get back into art after the basic recovery of my surgery, I instead replayed Mario and Luigi Partners in Time…and why does nobody talk about this game?? Hardly ever see it in the Super Mario tag. Like. It’s actually insane how dark it gets. People die. Like actually die. Not as dark as SPM but like we see the dead spirits of Toads get siphoned through tubes. They had their life force sucked out of them via genetically modified trees. Yoshis were eaten by a larger alien Yoshi and were gonna be turned into more alien Yoshis via a factory IN THE GIANT ALIEN YOSHI. We see a town that’s literally just “Christmas is Cancelled” the city. Their mayor probably died. We never see these places restored because there are no survivors to restore them. The citizens of Hollijolli village probably all died by the time the bros shut down the Vim factory. And also there’s the entire scene with the Star Gate. Like. Hello??

maybe I’ll stream or let’s play this game and share it here because I think. More ppl should talk about Partners in Time. I’ll say it too: I like it more than Bowser’s Inside Story. By like a LOT. That’s my ramble for the night. Ttyd day tomorrow. Yippee
