The Sword Of The Spirit
Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devilâs schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. If Armor Offers Protection, Maybe We Should Suit Up
On May 21, 2020, a Naval Officer who guarded the gate at Corpus Christi Naval Station was shot at close range in the chest by an intruder. But, because she was wearing body armor, she was still able to activate the alarm and stop the threat. Her Kevlar body armor not only saved HER live, it also saved the lives of others on the base because she was able to dispatch the perpetrator and keep himâŚ

What is Spiritual Warfare and how to overcome it with the help of God?
⢠Spiritual warfare is the idea that there's a battle going on between good and evil forces. In Christianity, this means a fight between God and His angels against the devil and his demons. It mainly happens in our minds, hearts, and spirits. Itâs about resisting bad thoughts, temptations, and influences that go against what God wants for us. Though we believe that Jesus has indeed already defeated Satan by dying on the cross and coming back to life, the enemy still tries to lead us to sin in order to push us away from God, thus spiritual warfare.
⢠âSymptomsâ vary since the devil attacks you where it hurts the most, to make you as vulnerable as possible; but here are some of the most common ones:
- believing that your not worthy of having a relationship with God or talking to God therefore feeling the need to distance yourself from him
-self destructive / sabotage / harm temptations
-paranoia / overthinking
-strong headaches / body aches
-temptations towards sin such as lust, gluttony, laziness, anger.. etc, depends on your weaknesses
-self hatred & self doubt / doubt in faithfulness
-hopelessness, fear, anxiety
-random depressive moods & replaying bad memories ⌠the list goes on!
⢠Living a life more aligned with Godâs will is seen as a threat to Satan and his purposes, leading to increased attempts to discourage or derail oneâs faith journey. With a deeper relationship with God often comes a greater sense of purpose and mission, attracting more challenges and obstacles from evil forces trying to prevent one from fulfilling Godâs plans. Our Father allows these intensified battles to refine and strengthen our faith, helping us rely more on Him and grow spiritually.
⢠Here are some bible verses that may help you during those tough times battling spiritual warfare :
-Corinthians 10:13
- Psalm 91
-Ephesians 6:11-18
-Isaiah 54:17
-Galatians 5:17-26
- Peter 5:8-9
-Romans 8:37-39
-Luke 10:19
-James 4:7
-John 16:33
-Deuteronomy 3:22
-Matthew 4:10-11
⢠Let me know if youâd be interested in me posting those verses and talking about some of them with you guys, sort of like a bible study kind of thing. Itâd be a pleasure ;)
Have a blessed day đđđźđť

Gossip
Way too often I catch myself Gossiping or talking bad about people behind their backs. I donât know why I do it, and every time I do, I regret it. But I canât seem to permanently stop. Sometimes, if I notice what Iâm doing wrong right now, Iâll stop, but I gotta admit for me not talking about people behind their backs can be hard for me sometimes.
What does the Bible say about Gossip?
⢠The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body. - Proverbs 26:22
⢠Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. - Psalm 34:13
⢠Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool. - Proverbs 10:18
⢠Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. - James 4:11
⢠Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. - Ephesians 4:29
⢠Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless - James 1:26
I researched a bit and found out that some of the reasons that people may gossip are to bond, they fear being vulnerable, to feel superior or it is learned behavior.
How to stop gossiping
1. Recognize the harm of gossip
2. Pray about it
3. Reflect before speaking
4. Avoid negative influences
5. Forgive and let go
6. Find healthy outlets
7. Practice Gratitude
A wicked doer gives heed to false lips; a liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue.
Proverbs 17:4

As you read these đ think about what is really going on.
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
- John 10:10
Do you see this đ happening?
He will speak words against the Most High [God] and wear down the saints of the Most High, and he will intend to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, [two] times, and half a time [three and one-half years].
- Daniel 7:25
And almost the same thing is repeated đ
And the beast was given a mouth (the power of speech), uttering great things and arrogant and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom and authority to act and to do as he pleased for forty-two months (three and a half years).
- Revelation 13:5
You see đ
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.
- Ephesians 6:12
That's why we must đ
Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
- 1 Peter 5:8
I think I have connected enough dots to reveal just how biblical this time is. It's up to you to understand. đ¤

hi lovely!! how are you?? so I have a question
1- how should a woman act/behave according to the Bible? is there any part that talks about this? I only see people talking about proverbs 31
2- we know how women should behave in a marriage but what about men?
3- do you have any tips to be more conected with god and with yourself??
thanks for answering this!! I hope you have a god day đ
hi love!! iâm doing well <3
i tend to focus on these main attributes of femininity and i find they come naturally to me so i try to embrace them instead of trying to force myself into what i feel like i need to be as a woman nowadays, which is brash, outspoken, âstrongâ in a certain way, etc.
modesty- I dress modestly.
"I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and proprietyâŚâ (1 Timothy 2:9-10)
kindness- I focus on being kind.Â
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." (1 Corinthians 13:4)
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
chastity- I try my best to avoid all sexual immorality and lust.
purity is a beautiful trait of femininity. to all girls reading this: you donât need to lose your virginity. youâre not behind and you donât need to do anything like that to be cool or experienced. your innocence should be protected, it doesnât need to be taken away. those tv shows, singers, and movies are lying to you. promiscuity is not cool.
"It is Godâs will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God." (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
2. what i've found is that there are creepy disingenuous men in the traditional space on Tumblr. that does not negate how beautiful Christ-centered traditional masculinity & relationships really are <3
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." (Ephesians 5:25)
"Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." (Colossians 3:19)
"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers." (1 Peter 3:7)
3. here's some things that have helped me feel connected to God:
thereâs this really helpful meditation that has helped me a lot in connecting with Jesus:Â
youtube
and these old fashioned Christmas songs with beautiful lyrics about Jesus' birth and really calming melodies. it helps me feel closer to Christ than ever.
making art about Jesus, singing about Him, making collages.
praying to Him and asking Him for help in being closer to Him.Â
keep asking questions and talking to other people about Christ, because I find that connection and honesty has helped my faith and connection with God so much.
i donât always feel close to God. but just because i donât feel close to Him doesnât mean Heâs not there. <3

Christian Dating Advice, Finding Self-Worth in God, and Presenting Yourself Well
1. Seek God First
Prioritize your relationship with God above all else. Spend time in prayer, worship, and reading the Bible. When your heart is aligned with Him, your confidence and joy will naturally shine.
2. Know Your Identity in Christ
Your worth isnât based on appearance or status but on who you are in Christ. Meditate on scriptures like Psalm 139:14 and Ephesians 2:10, knowing you are deeply loved and created with purpose.
3. Date with Purpose
Be clear about your intentions to date for marriage, not for casual relationships. Communicate your values, such as celibacy and a Christ-centered partnership. The right man will honor and respect your boundaries.
4. Focus on Character Over Chemistry
Look for a man who demonstrates faith, integrity, and kindness rather than solely focusing on physical attraction. A God-honoring man will appreciate your inner beauty and values.
5. Dress Modestly but Beautifully
Your clothing should reflect your respect for yourself and God. Choose outfits that are modest but also reflect your personality and femininity. This doesnât mean hiding yourselfâit means presenting yourself in a way thatâs classy, confident, and respectful.
6. Carry Yourself with Grace and Confidence
Your actions should reflect the love of Christ. Smile often, be kind to others, and speak with grace and gentleness (Proverbs 31:26). Confidence rooted in Godâs love is one of the most attractive qualities you can have.
7. Guard Your Heart and Set Boundaries
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to protect our hearts. Take time to let relationships grow slowly and prayerfully, ensuring they align with Godâs will. Set clear emotional and physical boundaries to honor your commitment to purity.
8. Pray Over Your Relationship
Involve God in your dating journey by praying for guidance and wisdom. If youâre in a relationship, pray together to keep Christ at the center and build a strong foundation for the future.
9. Silence the Lies of Insecurity
Combat negative thoughts about yourself with scripture. When doubts creep in, lean on truths like Jeremiah 29:11 and 1 Peter 2:9 to remind you of your worth and Godâs plan for your life.
10. Serve and Love Others
A selfless and loving spirit reflects Godâs heart. Serve others with humility, as this not only honors God but prepares you for the selflessness required in a Christ-centered marriage.
11. Surround Yourself with Godly Community
Seek friends, mentors, and a church community who will encourage your faith, affirm your worth, and hold you accountable to your values.
12. Trust Godâs Timing
Godâs plan is perfect, and He knows the desires of your heart. Trust that He will guide you to the right person at the right time. Waiting is not wasted when you are growing closer to Him.
13. Be Warm, Honest, and Authentic
When dating, let your true self shine. Be warm, kind, and honest about your faith and values. Authenticity is far more attractive than trying to meet worldly standards. đ¸
By focusing on your relationship with God, presenting yourself in a way that reflects your dignity and confidence, and holding firm to your values, youâll position yourself for a relationship that honors both you and Christ. â¨
With love,

Theology of Demons Miscellanea
"There was never any question [for the Christian] of attributing all evil to man - indeed, the New Testament has far more to say about dark superhuman powers than the Fall of Adam." C. S. Lewis, "Evil and God" in God in the Dock.
I've liked this quote for a long time, but I've recently wondered "is it true?"
At least on a statistical level, yes.
The fall of Adam is referenced three times in the New Testament - Romans 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, 1 Timothy 2:12-15. By contrast, dark superhuman powers appear in Romans 8:38, 1 Corinthians 15:25-26, 10:20-22 and maybe 2:6-8*, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Galatians 4:3-9, Ephesians 2:2, 3:10 and 6:12, Colossians 2:8, 2:15 and 2:20, 1 Peter 5:8, 2 Peter 2:4, 1 John 4:1-3 and 5:19, Jude 6, and, of course, Revelation 12-13 and 20 - all without counting the Gospel exorcism narratives.
Which leads me onto my next point - despite all of this, and a stated desire to get back to the Bible, Protestant theologies in my personal experience tend to marginalise the demonic and angelic realm (excluding certain denominations like Pentecostals). Sure, they affirm their existence, but there's a discomfort with attributing anything specific to them, especially in the present day, or with giving them a prominent place in theology.
And it's not just me saying. Folklorist Jeremy Harte in his book Cloven Country: The Devil and the English Landscape (about, well, the Devil in English and Welsh folklore) says that:
"In practice, if not in doctrine, Protestant writers rejected the numberless demons that had provided their medieval precursors with such varied explanations of bad weather; they were also disinclined to attribute disasters to Satan himself, as this would abrogate from the sovereignty of God." (p.199)
Because I want to hear what some real Protestants have to say on the issue, tagging @theexodvs and @greater-than-the-sword - particularly, I want to know if you think the marginalisation of demons is a real trend in Protestant theology, and if, so, where it comes from.
My personal theory is that Protestantism began in early modern Europe, where the demons had already been driven out by the people who first converted those countries to Christianity - so Protestant theologians see demons as marginal because, in their time and place, they were.
*Saying "maybe" because that interpretation's unpopular among modern Biblical scholars, but it's what I'm inclined to and has Patristic precedent: for example, St. Athanasius identified the wisdom of the Greeks with occultism and the worship of idols (On the Incarnation 46.4)
