Jesus was perfect and people still hated Him. Stop caring so much about what people think of you.

“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

The Book of Proverbs was probably composed over a long period of time, which allowed many teachings to be written in the form of principles or maxims based on historical facts from the Bible. And one of the maxims of this book written in the first collection of Solomonic proverbs shows the importance of wisdom, and even more so when it comes to people with power: "A king delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant arouses his fury" Proverbs 14:35. The Old Testament teaches that there is no more important figure than the King and the prophet. And the destiny of kings, as the Bible teaches, has often depended on the foolishness or wisdom of their servants and advisors. The book of Genesis tells us that Joseph's wisdom pleased Pharaoh, and this wisdom not only allowed Joseph to divine a terrible dream that afflicted Pharaoh but also to correctly administer the Kingdom of Egypt, which allowed this country to endure a terrible famine that affected that country. Hezekiah, the King of Judah, when he saw his city, Jerusalem, besieged by the tyrant Sennacherib, ruler of the Assyrian empire, saw his hope realized through the wisdom of the prophet Isaiah, which allowed him to resist until he obtained victory. As these stories show and as the Book of Proverbs teaches, the success of many kings has depended on the wisdom of sensible servants, and that is why these kings have given them their favor; but the opposite has also happened, from the foolishness of some servants, many kings have suffered great setbacks, what unleashed the fury of these rulers. Like when King Artaxerxes, poorly advised by an unfaithful official named Haman, was about to commit a grave injustice against the Jews, as recounted in the book of Esther. These stories leave a clear message, the wisdom of God is priceless because with her lies happiness and the true life.

THIS!!! Share your testimony, and share your love. Share His love! We are called to let our light shine upon this world, and be disciples of Jesus. We are not called to be judges of others! We are not responsible for anyones’ but our own faith, all we can do is show them Jesus’ love through ourselves and how we believe.
Instead of judging and condemning unbelievers, talking about how they will go to hell and how sinful they are, have you made an effort today to show an unbeliever Jesus' love? To share your testimony? To share the intimacy you felt with Jesus when you read your bible this morning, or how you were recently crying to worship music ? The miracles Jesus has done in your life? How he showed up for you? Provided for you? Have you represented Jesus in the best way today? Have you made others WANT to follow Him because they can observe how joyful you live ? Think about that.

1 Peter: How Never Having Seen Jesus Can Produce Joy That Is Inexpressible And Glorious
Though you have not seen him, you love him.  Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.  1 Peter 1:8-9 I confess that I envy Peter and the other apostles sometimes.  They saw Jesus with their own eyes and heard His voice with their own ears.  They saw Him…

Start the year off on the right foot. Weekdays I'll be posting a suggested reading for a one year Bible reading plan that will take us through the Bible in chronological order (as the events happened - at least as best as Bible scholars can determine they may have).
The plan takes about 10 minutes a day to read, with weekends off for you to catch up if weekdays are too busy to get your reading in. I will be posting the full reading plan in various formats (iCal, csv, pdf, etc.) for download as well as soon as I can find a place to host them.
Also, I encourage you to comment on each days reading, what you feel about what you've read, what translation you might be reading from and what insight that's given you, any thoughts at all you might have!
I hope you find these daily readings valuable through 2023.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
