Psychological Safety at Work
Tumblr media
Simply hiring talent is not sufficient. For people to perform at their best, it is essential that they work in an environment that is psychologically safe, along with many other factors, such as having a clear sense of purpose.
There is growing recognition that psychological safety plays an important role in team performance and decision-making. Additionally, it promotes openness, creativity, and risk-taking. Psychologically secure environments allow individuals to voice their opinions and express difficult concerns without fear of punishment or retribution. There is no fear of standing out, being wrong, or offending those in authority.
In a psychologically safe environment, interpersonal fear is not a hindrance to people’s participation. The individual is willing to take the interpersonal risk associated with candor. Holding back and not participating fully is more uncomfortable than taking the risk of sharing an unpleasant viewpoint. The feeling of safety encourages people to ask bold questions, seek assistance, and foster creativity that contributes to the organization’s success.
Strengthscape’s Leader’s Toolkit to Foster Psychological Safety program clarifies the meaning of psychological safety and provides a practical guide for promoting it within organizations and teams. This program provides leaders with the tools they need to create a psychologically safe environment in their teams while utilizing the talents of those teams to benefit their organizations.

Time Travel AU: Timothy "Trash" Drake Edition
Tim, to save his family and the world, travels back to when he was a kid. Considering the super powerful shadow organizations that are trying to take over the world (and to prevent his family from becoming targets [or he doesn't trust them. Your pick]), he elects to take on a persona:
Timothy "Trash" Drake.
Instead of the kind, charming, intelligent kid he used to be, Tim methodically mucks up his reputation. He's an asshole, he's self-important, and he's like a typical Gotham Socialite but worse. By 16, he's practically a drunk idiot who's only passing school by the Drake name. He's like Brucie Wayne, but he's hated instead of being a loveable fool.
In the background, he's subtly saved people from their tragic events in the timeline. Drake industries has been booming (try as he might, he couldn't save his parents and became the CEO at 16 as an emancipated minor), and a lot of their funds goes towards better wages and benefits for their employees. Continually, they spend a lot on Gotham infrastructure and social programs. This doesn't match the CEO's arrogant, asshole, and greedy ways. Most assume he's just a figurehead anyway.
The important part to note is that the Waynes hate interacting with him and have a strong dislike for him. They don't know that his demeanor is a persona. Jason, in particular, hates his frivolous, wasteful guts.
Tim has been somewhat successful in mitigating the shadow organization's plans and stopping the world from ending. He's still got a few plans in the works, but he's overall satisfied by what he's accomplished.
Issues start to arise when the Waynes notice contradictions in Timothy Drake's behavior.
Timothy is an asshole who only cares about himself, so why did he give away his coat to someone in need? Sure, he complained that it was of poor quality and not to his standards, but he could've just thrown it away.
Someone else notices that he crashes into the champagne tower when someone was getting harassed at a gala. It was supposedly an accident, but the person was able to get away from the harassment.
Timothy also slapped a homophoic asshole when he kept going on and on about their prejudice. The kid played it off as him being mad at them for stealing his look, but are all of these incidents coincidences?
The final nail in the coffin? Cass goes to her first gala where Tim in in attendance (he has purposefully avoided anywhere she would be). She takes one glance at him, smiles, and then softly says, "Little Brother."
Safe to say everyone promptly looses their shit.
Anyways, I kind of want to see a Trash of the Count's Family AU with Tim Drake

this week, i'm spotlighting dr. isam's campaign!
i'll let the organizer's words speak for themself:
Dr. Isam is a successful dentist and a loving husband and father who fully supports his family of eight. Prior to the war, Dr. Isam owned two dental centers: a home for 20 employees including his own children. In this latest assault on Gaza, both of his centers were destroyed, destroying his and his entire team’s livelihoods, futures, and dreams. His family consists of his wife and eldest daughter, Sondos (27 years), who holds a degree in interior design; she has health issues that have worsened throughout the war and require immediate attention. His elder twins, Saleem and Ahmed (25 years), have degrees in Medical Assistance and Computer Programming. Saleem is married, has a beautiful two-year-old daughter, and lives with his wife and daughter in the same household as Dr. Isam. His younger son, Osaam (20 years), also has a medical condition that requires immediate and continued treatment, and sadly cannot be found in Gaza at the moment. Given the terrible experiences they have suffered over the course of the past six months, Dr. Isam, is hoping and praying to get his family out of Gaza in order to start a new life away from the pain of war and constant threats of death. His wife needs urgent medical care, and his children need to continue their education and work to rebuild and maintain their physical and mental well-being.
i have donated $15 cad and hope you will consider matching my donation!

Summerland, B.C., is formalizing its four-day work week pilot program for some district staff and offering it to more departments. The 18-month trial began in July 2023 and gave municipal hall and aquatic centre staff in the Okanagan community the option to work full-time hours over four days rather than five. In a statement, Mayor Doug Holmes said the district is officially implementing the compressed work week, saying it "provides a positive work environment by giving employees a better work-life balance."

Fizzling out
Remember how season one Fizz was clearly the success story from Blitzø's past? We were waiting on what had happened to them and why there was hostility but other than that, he was famous and had a better version of what Blitzø and Stolas had going on.
One example of his success was the bot we met at Loo loo land.
Remember Robot Fizz and how charismatic, fun and villainous it was?
Tumblr media
Why did it have it in for Blitzø so bad?
Either Blitzø was just that bad of an employee at this place that has zero standards that even he stood out to a bot or this thing was programmed to hate on Blitzø.
I pick the latter because why does this robot have such issue with Blitzø that it cares to acknowledge him a decade later and be out for blood?
Tumblr media
When we meet Fizz, we meet someone who is sassy, mean and apparently heavily involved with all his work.
He spoke of the Looloo land robot and its value, so was this a pricier one than those in the advert shown in season 2
Tumblr media
unlike the bots we would see in season 2, this one wasn't just a tool, it worked and it lead and season one was also the time before we knew how mass produced they were
Tumblr media
it's like a lot of thought went into making it, because aside from how worn out it looked which was the case for the rest of the park it was full of personality.
Tumblr media
While other models appear to be void of any real personality.
Tumblr media
Blitzø's interactions with robot and real Fizz were the same, it's like this bot was programmed to heckle Blitzø in real Fizz place, which totally fits pre woobification Fizz.
These two making up was nice but 'nice' coming with the stripping of personality and accolade is such a waste, we now have a practically housebound sugarbabby who shares the same interests as his powerful man.
Tumblr media
Fizz deserves better, he ironically could be replaced by a bot of himself and not even a season one bot.

Rio Crane [Urbanshade Personnel]
SHE/THEY/HE [in order of preference]
71 Y/O, 28 in physical and mental growth
TLDR: makes clones if she's cut in half, spends her time researching everything. Extremely curious, friendly, and gets along with the beasts of the blacksite. See below the cut for Way Too Much Information, and her entire document!
Codename: "Endless," was a researcher for Urbanshade whom willingly participated in the IUTEOAK [Immortal Under the Edge of a Knife] program, simply referred to as the IUK program for further reference. The IUK program was an experiment to allow immortality in certain high-hazard Urbanshade personnel, started by Crane themselves in an attempt to rid themselves of chronic and terminal illness.
Crane's experiments were successful, resulting in symbiosis between Human, White Spotted Bamboo Shark, Flatworm, Nudibranch, and Portuguese Man ' o ' War DNA. These experiments resulted in loss of certain organs which her body no longer needed for general life, including her liver, gallbladder, pancreas, thyroid, kidneys, and lungs. It is noted that despite her Flatworm DNA, she still has a cardiovascular system, unlike modern flatworms.
The resulted immortality has a strange catch, as Crane's body rapidly deteriorates over a span of 3 years, generally dying at the end of the 3rd: however, if Crane were to cut off her head or her legs from her torso: and said half of her body or head is healthy: another instance of Crane would be able to separate from the aged body, re-starting the 3 year biological timer. It seems that Crane's immortality has a few catches like this, as if her brain is destroyed, a clone will die, reducing to an amorphous gel-like consistency that is extremely toxic within several days.
However, her experiment was deemed to be non-replicable: not because it is impossible to replicate, but the cost, dangers, and work put into making a single immortal being is too high to create several of these instances. Not only is the experiment hard to replicate, the side effects are varying in usefulness or straight up danger, and Crane herself seems to have certain anomalous features that Urbanshade has been unable to reproduce, most notably, the fact that her memories and senses are able to be transmitted between clones at will. This being said, Crane is anomalous, and should be highly monitored to prevent classified information leaking to unauthorized personnel.
It is noted that Crane has an especially high pain tolerance, as she only feels 1/5th of the pain a normal individual would: likely due to the 5 given clones of her that exist at any time: a clone in the Blacksite, a clone at another Urbanshade site, a clone in an undisclosed location, a backup clone in the Blacksite, and finally, her conscious clone. It seems that her consciousness flickers between these clones, and clones that are not inhabited are in a hibernation-like state.
Crane is capable of deadly stings with her "hair" and "tail fibers", more officially her tentacles and cnidosacs: that cause extreme allergic reactions in some individuals, and circulatory shock [and death] in others. It is noted that these stings are ONLY felt if personnel touch the tips of her hair or cnidosacs, and as such, are avoidable.
Her diet consists of animals in the Cnidaria family, certain jellyfish, and a vegetable/fish high diet. It is noted that while she does enjoy meats, she seems to prefer them on the.. fresher side.
Crane is not a dangerous encounter, rather a normally quiet, almost EXR-P-like employee. She doesn't speak much to Expendables, preferring to speak with or research the various dangerous monsters inside of the Blacksite instead. Crane's presence often indicates that a monster is nearby, however, and it should be kept in mind that if you see her, it's likely there's a much more dangerous threat arounds.
ADDENDUM: Crane was not originally a Blacksite employee, rather originating from a separate site entirely that preformed experiments on cadavers and willing individuals only. As such, it seems that Crane is disgusted with the Blacksite entirely. It is under debate whether or not Crane should be demoted or not after the Crystal [Z-1] has been recovered, as she is capable of spreading classified information throughout Urbanshade, or even to the public.
ADDENDUM 2: It seems that Crane's presence may also indicate The Saboteur [z-13] as well, and she can even be found [rarely] alongside him with his shop, asking questions he refuses to answer.

[“Changes in the industrial base of capitalism in the 1970s only served to expand psy-professional practice still further. As the manufacturing sector was replaced in economic significance by growth in the service industries, changing skills were required within the labour force. Traditional manual labour was declining while there was a burgeoning skills gap within white collar occupations. Thus, the labour force was put under increasing pressure to “adapt” and “upskill” to meet the needs of the changing marketplace.
The new aptitudes required by employers included social skills, problem-solving skills, independent and team working, a flexible approach to work, as well as workers ready to further upskill. In the future, people would have to demonstrate high levels of “employability” within their jobs and what Elraz (2013: 810) calls a “sellable self” which will be, “associated with the constant expectation to perform, manage-impression, self-promote and ‘sell’ oneself as an attractive product: with no ‘faults’, ‘weaknesses’ or ‘limitations’, always ready to be, and do ‘more’.”
This “new subjectivity of work” (Rose 1999: 106) has meant that the individual worker has become a key site for psy-professional intervention in neoliberal society. I experienced one example of this intervention at first-hand when I was employed at a Training and Enterprise Council in England in the early 1990s. Both employees and our unemployed “clients” were offered the chance to undertake taxpayer-funded neurolinguistic programming, a business-orientated form of neurocognitive therapy. The presence of this “training initiative” is a small demonstration of the successful creep of the psychological sciences into the work environment over this period—those to be re-skilled learnt in these sessions that the way to real, long-lasting, and personally satisfying success was to examine their own weaknesses and confront their personal barriers to achieving a job. The discourse of neurolinguistic programming fitted perfectly with the dominant notions of the sellable self, where success in employment was intrinsically tied to the self-actualisation of the person; an increasing need within neoliberal capitalism to “work on the ego of the worker” (Rose 1999: 113).”]

2024 in review
I'm spending my last hour at work doing some inbox management and unsubscribing from email lists, so I figured I've got a little time to reflect on last year.
I don't really feel like I got a lot done in 2024, but still:
- finished up the fic I've been working on for four years - ran Blind Dates again and gave it its own blog - bought a house (???!!!) and then spackled, painted, moved furniture, made the space my own, and stayed on top of most of the day to day maintenance stuff - dealt with a new-to-me personnel issue at work - watched several employees thrive by thinking ahead and planning in advance - somehow wrote 45,000 words in the middle of all of that
Goals for 2025: - start MBA program - be gentler with myself about my writing or lack thereof - Blind Dates Fest 2025 - read more books - install and use my raised garden bed to grow something - finish 2 large home improvement projects - start succession planning for employee retirement in 2026
Anyway. Wishing you all the very best in the year ahead.

There is this need from people on the left to discredit Elon's contributions to Tesla and SpaceX. This notion "he just pays smart people to do everything and then he takes all the credit" is mentioned just about any time Tesla or SpaceX does something cool.
If you weren't aware, SpaceX caught a rocket booster this morning and it might be one of the biggest engineering achievements in recent history.
I haven't been able to find much about his technical contributions to Tesla. It does seem like in the early days he was quite involved with the engineering. His most recent contributions to Tesla have been nothing short of disasters. But I don't think he really cares much about Tesla anymore. His obsession with colonizing Mars has taken priority and so he just hands his Tesla engineers a picture of a Dorito and says, "Make this a truck" and fucks off to do space shit.
But every bit of research I've done regarding SpaceX shows that he knows his shit. His "Chief Engineer" status is not just ceremonial. His tours of SpaceX with Everyday Astronaut show him speaking in depth and off the cuff about every aspect of the rocket program.
And then I saw this interview with a former NASA and SpaceX engineer, and she pretty much confirmed that Elon knows his shit.
youtube
[Starts at 20:16]
She wasn't pressured to say that. I think it is pretty clear that was her honest opinion.
I don't think SpaceX is only successful because of Elon. She even complains that the billionaire owners tend to get the bulk of the credit when there are thousands of talented people working together to do these amazing things.
But I do think Elon's aggressive strategy of "blow shit up until it works" has helped SpaceX leapfrog pretty much every other rocket manufacturer trying to do things in space. From what I can tell, the competition is laughably behind.
And I guess I really don't care if Elon gets credit for his rocket engineering skills or not. But I do always prefer to start from the truth. And so when people say he doesn't know anything, I have this frustrating need to push back despite how I feel about Elon.
It's similar to how I defend Apple sometimes. I don't like Apple very much as a company. But I think they are better than Google and Samsung (especially when it comes to privacy) and I do like some of their products. I'm not going to say something is bad when it isn't.
Elon is a terrible person. And there is evidence that he creates a lot of headaches for his employees. And his politics have become intolerable.
He is an awful piece of shit.
But he is also a legit rocket engineer.
Sometimes shitty people are good at stuff.
I don't think he is the *best* rocket engineer. He is probably quite mediocre in comparison to most of the people at SpaceX. But he is not doing astronaut cosplay like the other billionaires.
Personally, I think maybe it is more frustrating that Elon isn't actually a giant idiot in all things. He is capable of intelligence when he wants to be. And I think that is worse than Trump who is just genuinely ignorant. Elon can learn extremely complicated systems and understand them. He has that capability. And he often just chooses not to and then wields his ignorance in a way that hurts others.
When he is passionate and determined he will read every textbook and learn every schematic. But he is so narcissistic that he thinks intelligence just... transfers.
And I think this is a problem with a lot of people who excel in some kind of academic context. They think because they are smart about one thing, they are smart about everything. And they believe they don't actually have to put in the work and truly learn and understand it.
Or they will look at other things that are less complicated than the thing they know and believe they can intuit knowledge about it because it is simpler.
Like... learning rocket science is harder than learning to run a McDonald's. But I am willing to bet Elon thinks he could be plopped into the middle of a McDonald's with no training and not only do a good job, but run a McDonald's better than any person ever in the history of McDonald's.
When in reality, a person with years of experience competently running a McDonald's would do a much better job. Elon would most likely be a disaster.
But in his mind... "It's not like it is rocket science."
Is it easier or more comforting to just write Elon off as an idiot in all things?
Or would it be more useful to understand he doesn't have to be an idiot, but he just does not care enough to relieve himself of ignorance?
I sometimes wonder if the truth even matters in this case. My need to be truthful isn't helpful. "Elon is an idiot" is simpler. And it is usually true.
I dunno.
I just hate that he is involved in something I love. And that if I want to follow space shit, I have to acknowledge Elon's existence.

CONFIDENTIAL PROGRESS REPORT
DRC, Insemination Operations Command, Mobile Operations Unit
Date: [REDACTED]
To: Minister [REDACTED], Ministry of State Security
From: Administrator [REDACTED], Mobile Operations Unit
Subject: Cost of Conscripting Youth in Rural Communities
[REDACTED] (Arkansas, FEMA Zone 6) is an outlier for a small rural community with a population of [REDACTED] and a long history in the lumber industry. Of particular note, [REDACTED]% of the 18-25-year-old population has tested positive for high fertility markers and subsequently been conscripted as surrogates. The DRC Planning & Evaluation Office has been monitoring the situation as a case study of the economic impact of forced surrogacy conscription.
Mobile Paternity Units (MPU)
The newly deployed Mobile Paternity Units (MPUs) accelerate conscription rates by conducting field-based surrogate insemination protocols. The MPUs are fully equipped mobile hubs designed to identify, secure, and inseminate fertile surrogates in regions lacking the infrastructure or security to establish permanent paternity compounds.
Currently there are [REDACTED] MPUs in commission, operating in circular routes- - - - -

[ACCESS GRANTED]: [HIGH CLEARANCE MODE ACTIVATED]
[SECURITY OVERRIDES]: [Enabled]
[REDACTED DATA]: [Unlocked]
MPU Background Context
The rural disruption program continues to be a success thanks to the deployment of the MPUs, which have been incredibly effective at deliberate societal destabilization.
As mentioned in last quarter's deployment report, in addition to the direct impact of mass insemination, MPUs employ covert biochemical measures to destabilize social order further. By introducing a cocktail of hormones and aphrodisiacs into the water supply, the MPUs incite heightened states of lust, confusion, and distraction among the population.
Among surrogates, this amplifies the effects of prenatal nymphomania, who, driven by uncontrollable desires, contribute to a pervasive atmosphere of hedonism and chaos. It also magnifies the feelings, thoughts, attractions, and behaviors of the non-surrogate members of the community, who participate in the physical activities with almost primal intensity.
The relentless pursuit of physical gratification prevents the community from focusing on its deteriorating condition, eroding familial bonds, productivity, and any sense of collective purpose. The combination of mass pregnancy, chemical manipulation, and social disarray leaves these towns paralyzed while serving the DRC’s objectives of surrogate acquisition and societal control.
By the time the vast majority of surrogates give birth and the MPUs return to collect the resultant offspring, the workforce is effectively crippled and vulnerable to collapse. Their ability to organize, resist, or rebel against external control diminishes, dependent on external support, unable to mount any meaningful opposition.
The cumulative consequences are both immediate and long-term, unraveling the town’s economic stability, social cohesion, and cultural identity.
I. Labor Market Collapse
As their pregnancies advance, these surrogates are unable to contribute meaningfully to the workforce. Compounding this crisis, the introduction of aphrodisiacs to the water supply inflames the atmosphere of widespread indulgence and physical fixation, leaving critical sectors paralyzed:
Agriculture: Fields go untended as the remaining workforce is too distracted or physically compromised to perform essential tasks.
Retail & Services: Shops and local businesses experience severe staff shortages, with employees increasingly abandoning their posts in favor of personal distractions. Productivity is reduced, and many businesses shut permanently.
Construction & Infrastructure: Public services (water supply, power, policing) are abandoned as skilled laborers become unavailable or uninterested.
This mass disengagement leads to a cascading failure across the economy. The distraction and incapacitation ensures that productivity never recovers.
“It’s like everything just… fell apart overnight. Most of the boys are now carrying these enormous pregnancies, some with 10, 12, or even 16 babies. They’re so big they can barely move, let alone work. My nephew is bedridden, his stomach so swollen and stretched it looks like he’ll burst. Businesses are shutting down left and right. The diner is now it’s closed because the staff is too preoccupied, too exhausted or too pregnant to keep things running.” - Victor Hayes, Charlevoix, Michigan, FEMA Zone 5
II. Population & Social Erosion
The breakdown of social order is exacerbated by prenatal nymphomania. This heightened state of physical fixation pervades the community, undermining traditional values and civic responsibilities:
Educational Decline: Schools lose both students and teachers as attendance drops. Classrooms empty out, and extracurricular programs vanish as the youth prioritize physical distractions over learning and participation.
Community Disintegration: Social events, youth programs, and local traditions deteriorate. The focus shifts away from community-building activities as families experience fragmentation and isolation as personal indulgence takes precedence over collective well-being.
The resulting social decay ensures that the community’s structure collapses from within, leaving it vulnerable and dependent.
“It’s like the entire town has lost its mind. My little brother is one of the surrogates. He’s just 19, and carrying 14 babies. He can barely move now, his belly is so massive and tight with those babies. And it’s not just him — every boy his age is the same. The weirdest part is they used to fight this, but now they seem so into it. And the rest of us? It’s like we’re all under a spell. Nobody wants to work, go to school, or even talk about what’s happening. Everyone’s just chasing some kind of high, day in and day out. There’s no sense of responsibility, no one to keep things running.” - Collin Tanner, Owensboro, Kentucky, FEMA Zone 4
III. Economic Ripple Effects
The economic consequences of the MPU deployment extend beyond immediate labor shortages. As the population becomes consumed by the chemically-inflamed environment, traditional economic functions disintegrate:
Real Estate Market Collapse: The prospect of family life and economic stability vanishes. Young adults are physically incapacitated or disinterested in establishing households or familial units.
Healthcare Strain: The need for prenatal care among the surrogates overwhelms local clinics. Meanwhile, rising cases of substance abuse and physical exhaustion further strain the system. Access to local healthcare diminishes, and locals become dependent on DRC resources.
This economic freefall ensures that recovery becomes unattainable, plunging towns into long-term decline.
“I’m 21, and I’m carrying 15 babies right now. My belly is so huge and heavy, I can barely get out through the front door. I used to work at the hardware store, and I was saving up to get my own place. But that dream’s gone now. Everyone my age is pregnant or taking care of someone who is. I’m too big and too tired to care. We’re all trapped in these enormous pregnancies, and there’s no help coming.” - S???-994-O, Andersonville, Georgia, FEMA Zone 4
IV. Collapse of Social Norms
These combinations contribute to a disintegration of social and familial distinctions, fostering an environment where traditional lines of propriety become increasingly obscured:
Dissolution of Familial Roles: As surrogates’ pregnancies advance and the community’s pervasive fixation on physical indulgence, interactions begin to appear that defy established familial roles. Young surrogates, often confined to their homes due to the extreme size of their pregnancies become focal points of attention in ways that undermine traditional respect and relational boundaries.
Loss of Interpersonal Distinctions: The community’s collective fixation results in behaviors and dynamics that would otherwise be constrained by societal norms. Familiarity within and outside households devolves into ambiguous interactions influenced by heightened compulsions.
The cumulative effect of these blurred boundaries ensures traditional norms are rendered obsolete, leaving the community adrift in a state of chaotic permissiveness.
“It’s hard to explain how things got this way. My cousin is one of the surrogates. He’s only 19, and his belly is just… massive... swollen beyond anything you’d think possible. He’s carrying 14 babies, and the sheer size of it, how tight and stretched his skin is... There’s something about seeing him like that — so heavy, so full — that just draws you in. Now, when I see my cousin leaning back against the couch, his huge belly dominating his frame, moaning as the babies kick and move inside him, I can’t stop myself from feeling drawn in. His body his so full and stretched... it’s mesmerizing.” - Derek Knight, Fulton, Illinois, FEMA Zone 5
V. Long-Term Consequences
The deployment of MPUs and the ensuing mass insemination drive the town into an inescapable cycle of decline:
Economic Decay: With the majority of the workforce incapacitated, businesses fail, infrastructure deteriorates, and investment ceases. The community becomes a “ghost town,” marked by derelict buildings and economic stagnation.
Dependency on External Aid: As self-sufficiency erodes, the town becomes reliant on DRC support. Demoralization set in, deepening the dependency cycle.
Loss of Cultural Identity: Traditions and community legacies fade as the surrogates’ incapacitation prevents participation in cultural life, collective heritage disintegrates into chaotic, aimless distraction.
“It’s like everything that held us together just fell apart. Both my brothers were turned into two swollen balls of babies by the end. Everyone their age was knocked up, fattened, and taken. The whole town looks like it’s been abandoned, a bunch of ghostly reminders of what used to be. We barely survive on government aid, but even that feels like a band-aid on a wound too big to heal. The town feels hollow.” - Jackson Bender, Northampton, Massachusetts, FEMA Zone 1
Conclusion
The deployment of MPUs and the ensuing biochemical manipulation devastate rural communities. The combined impact of enforced surrogacy, incapacitation, and chemically-induced distraction ensures that these towns collapse economically, socially, and culturally.
