Listen, some writing choices in ouat might be questionable but the fact that the chosen one is a 28 year old woman, who thinks the people trying to convince her that she's living amongst fairy tale characters are insane, and is way too busy to even entertain that crap is so funny.

She legit spends the whole first season being like " I'm trying to get a job and also win back custody of my son, please get out with that nonsense" just to have a " I did NOT choose this. Pick someone else to do it!" crisis in the last episode.

Emma’s big problem is that she literally does nothing for herself. She is constantly self-sacrificing everything all the time, and when something is genuinely wrong, she pretends she’s fine because she doesn’t want to burden anyone else, no matter how much they hammer it in that she isn’t a burden and they do love her. Like. This girl would hide a zombie bite, do everything she can to help the other survivors in as little time as possible, and then just. Disappear at the last minute. Because what if she is a burden, after all? What if her family’s love has been conditional this entire time, and they’ll leave her behind at the first sign of trouble, just like everybody else she’s ever let herself care about?

I’m not saying anything you don’t already know, she just breaks my heart every time she’s like this :(
