#Eleven was my first Doctor

it’s been awhile since i’ve been active in the doctor who fandom but i’ve introduced my youngest coworker to it (we’re in DoctorDonna) and i always forget how agonizing Silence in the Library is once you’ve gone through the rest of the seasons.

He was her entire world, he spanned her entire life and then some but Ten was the last Doctor she’d ever meet.

Ten was the last Doctor who couldn’t even fathom being married to anyone else but Rose Tyler.

i know it’s too early to be talking about sixteen but god i hope the sixteenth doctor is an old man. a sad wet cat. a pathetic loser. a miserable freak. i would commit crimes in a heartbeat for ncuti i love that man but he is too cunty. he slays and the doctor simply does not. the doctor is an unpleasant weirdo with cringe charm and ncuti is too hot to encapsulate that essential part of the doctors character. i still expect to love his run but i am also hoping we get a more appropriate actor after him, someone so far unhinged you have to wonder if what made them like that is a birth defect. not just a good actor i need them to be genuinely insane, like their mother was cunt punted while they were crowning. the next doctors actor should be an escaped psych patient to properly be what we need

He liked the results on Amy, so he tried it on Kazran Sardick, until causing lasting childhood trauma is one of his go-to solutions for easy compliance! That's my eleven. My eldritch horror.

Me, rewatching random Eleven-era episodes, worrying that my takes on Amy & Rory might be slightly OOC and then realizing that the writers of the show threw about five different characterizations/motivations on them throughout their run, depending on the episode and that means I get to just pick one to make my foundation and then develop it out properly:

can i just put out there in the world i'm very much enjoying matt smith's interpretation of the doctor ??

ever since the final episodes of s5 i feel like he's in his element and he's much more fun to watch ~ i also adore his deliberate reading (and acting) of the doctor's asexuality <3 and his relationship with the ponds is so genuine and hilarious !!

i'm at halfway through s6 and i think the writing has been a bit darker so far, but he's doing a great job ~

i don't know if ultimately he's going to be my fav doctor (i honestly don't think so - but never say never!), still i'm very curious to see what will come in the next episodes ^^

ps. i just came across a post saying it's matt smith's bday today so happy birthday eleventh doctor !!
