Do you ever think it's weird how movie and novelization portray the Glatorian actually super ecstatic of the Elemental powers of their weapons?

Since if possible they're all (if the least Ackar and Kiina with canon timeline and age span ig (it's still confusing to me as well and I still barely understand it dw)) traumatized as fuck from the Elemental Lords

So with that their uneasy to have their weapons (and if not later on themselves (if we ever had a canon concept without the cancellation the Glatorian's elemental powers from their weapons split or transfer to themselves to control like Toa) wield) control the very elements the tyrants of the Elemental Lords went mad of their power

So this would lead to a bit of unsteady ground between Mata Nui and the Glatorian, on one hand their upset because they now have these powers the Lord's went mad from, from Mata Nui and the Ignika

And on the other hand they have to trust Mata Nui because he KNOWS how to control them so they don't become like the Elemental Lords (aka Mata teaching them how to control the elements and the elements don't control them and to not fear their power) and confront their fears

The Lords could not be harmed, shifting mounds of nature that they were, shapes unclear and indestructible as they reached out to their traitorous subjects to submit them once more; above them they stood, colossal and sublime, casting long shadows upon them as they towered like pillars holding sky and ground apart, and on them were fixed six brilliant gazes of crystal and metal and flesh.

How those hands reached out for them! With such a longing awe, like children begging to be held, the living wide-eyed killing machines strained to join them, turning their backs to those who had believed to find in them friends and allies and soldiers against those who had torn their home apart so thoughtlessly to give themselves to the Lords wholly, completely, utterly, enamored and entranced by their elemental infinity, so ethereally solid that they could feel it in their palms already; and the Lords, magnanimous as they were (as they fancied themselves to be in their cruelty), reached out to them in turn, welcoming them as their impenetrable army of one, beckoning them closer, closer.

And with that closeness they saw, perhaps too late, the gleam in the glowing eyes; and with that closeness they realized, perhaps too late, that there was nothing childish within them if not for a turbulent hunger, vast and all-consuming, and something else so darkly bright, so blindingly obscure, that they could not put a word to it.

And those hands reached, and sank into them.

And the Lords screamed in anguish.

In a sudden focused frenzy the beasts curled their claws of protodermis and climbed the infinite bodies. They left marks of their passage - deep wounds bleeding copiously, reaching down to bones that long had been stripped away by divinity, tearing apart non-existent flesh with the ease of paper, their skeletal frames ravenous as they dug holes in the godly forms to take their essence for themseves, coating shining metal in fire, stone, earth, water, ice, air, like disgusting bugs carving their way through luxurious fabrics and woods and painting and statues, hungry, hungry, hungry, starving and yearning and needing - and the Lords shouted, the Lords wailed, the Lords cried, the Lords howled in unison with the mechanical men eating them alive, ascending higher, higher, not demanding audience anymore, only digging into their nerves with a staggering familiarity, a bloodied fondness.

Artificial faces at last before the divinely natural eyes, frightened gods cradled with such murderous tenderness in hand-crafted palms, an unnatural light sparked within crystalline matter: perhaps what they forced upon the Lords was a sarcastic pantomime, perhaps it was a genuine gesture carried on in the only violent manner a living weapon could muster, perhaps it was as new and frightening for them as it was so painfully horrifying for their destined misshapen mirrors; but their mechanical bodies strained with their thin muscles as air poured through vents so scalding and freezing and humid and dry and dusty and clear, as they crowed out for all the universe to hear the love bursting in fulminating sparks and horrid shrieks of cogs clashing in ways they were not built to do, and with something that could be considered akin only to a terrible kiss they sank into the sublime endlessness of the Elemental Lords, and tore them to shreds in an indescribably gruesome amorous spectacle.

Nothing was left of them - nothing but men, frightened mortal shells of flesh and bone, clawed free from their ineffability as their former people approached them cautiously, circled around them to bear witness to their descent from their gilded thrones.

Hunched over them stood still the living beings of metal and muscle, immoble, eyes aglow with energy, encased in their element as though it were their skin - fitting them so naturally, like it had never fit upon the Lords. Then something zapped, creaked, exhaled harshly: their irises flickered, sparks of color pulsing before giving in, and they collapsed upon the exhausted remains of their domains, as still as corpses yet with hearts still beating gently, calmly, sweetly, radiating spots of light upon but a spec of their slowly reawakening world like fireflies unaware of their own mortality.

Yes, I'm a Final Fantasy Fan

I've heard of the franchise for years, but I never dared to play it because I thought all the games followed the same story and I thought I had to play them all to understand it lol. It wasn't until I decided to try Final Fantasy 4 for GBA a few years ago that I got more interest in it (also because I dowloaded Final Fantasy Brave Exvius). I haven´t played the most recent games but I like the aesthetic of the classic games, maybe someday I'll play the most recent versions

My favorite thing about the games are the monsters, I like to find every single one to add them to the bestiary. Anyway, they're fun if you like classic RPGs, here are three drawings related to the series

Not sure how to caption this other than I think it would be a fun visual if Garmadon spent most of his time staring down Lloyd's opponents during the ToE. With such a terrifying man for a father, it's hard not to tense up while fighting his son. Sometimes I wish Ninjago wasn't limited to LEGOs, there are so many visuals that could be done in terms of 'show don't tell'. Also drawing younger Lloyd with more anime boy-esque expressions is fun, I pull a lot from Ash Ketchum in the last two seasons for him. (Please don't repost my art, reshares are chill tho)

So I read the first chapter of Tale of the Toa and the bit of dialogue of how Tahu wants to give into the chaos of fire in his frustration reminded me of the Elemental Lords since they went batshit crazy with being unable to control their powers

ninjago au where garmadon stays oni even during his sensei faze. Logically Garmadon would be nicer than in canon (at first) because he looks quite evil and would be compensating for that. However the tournament of elements would be an absolute bloodbath i imagine.

“You look very beautiful y/n.” Katara mentioned "Thanks. I decided it's time for a change." You replied. Katara's complement made you blush. Sokka was surprisingly good at cutting hair. He gave it layers and added braids that held your hair back. “ I agree with Katara” Mai spoke. You instantly felt horrible with the new hairstyle. Mai isn’t the one to express her feelings so that comment made you believe otherwise. Perhaps cutting your hair shouldn't have crossed your mind.

Aang noticed you playing with the charm bracelet you wore. It tells him a lot about how you feel. He noticed you'd touch a certain charm with the emotion you were feeling, such as anger, happiness, sadness, anxiety, etc.“Katara is right y/n. It suits you! Sokka did a great job.” He spoke. He had that nice big smile. “ New hair cut? Looks nice” Zuko said patting your back. You’ve been dating him for 4 months and you’re very thrilled about it. He’s very kind and romantic when alone with you.

The day went on by. Everyone was calm. You can hear the ocean tides and feel the wind blowing. “Tell her. I’m tired of hiding.” Mai said. Zuko rubbed his temples. “It’s not that simple Mai. I can’t dump her out of the blue.” He responded. You heard them. “You don’t even like her. Why did you agree on dating her?” Your tears slipped. You didn’t want to hear his answer. “Because…she’s saved me many times..and I felt bad. It looked like she was going to cry if I said no.That and how many guys do chubby girls date? Almost never. I’m giving her a little hope.” You cried silently. You felt sudden saddens and hate. Running towards the ocean Katara called out to you. “ Y/n we’re making lunch! Wanna come help?” You ignored her walking back and forth. The waves following your movement. You made a fist. Your anger was so out of control you created a storm. “ Hey! Y/n you created a problem here!” Sokka yelled as Aang used his air bending to keep the water from drenching them. “Sorry!” You took a few deep breathes calming away the storm and the crazy waves.

“What’s got you so upset?” Katara asked giving you a tight hug. “ I keep losing my arrows. Haha. I overreacted.” She knew you were lying. She’s your most trusted person. Katara understands your personality, sense of humor, and the way you just are. She whispered. “We can talk about it later.” You smiled and nodded. Lunch was yummy. Everyone’s stomach was content.

Another 3 months went by. All the same apparently Zuko still loves you and wants to spend was much time with you as possible. It was such bullshit. You heard him leave with Mai at midnight. You saw how they treated each other. The little things showed everything.

The ride on the ship was wild. Not because there was a storm or someone was throwing arrows,fire rocks or trying to drown you all. Simply because an argument started.

“ you have no right to be upset. I’ve known him longer. You don’t get it.” Mai said with a straight face. You couldn’t believe what she said. The fire nation is insane however a regular family took you in. You eventually met Zuko. “ Have no right to be upset!? Are you kidding me? Yeah, he was your childhood sweetheart or whatever but who followed behind him when he was exiled !? Me! Which one of us cared to help him emotionally? Me! I’ve given him all my love and support even if it meant I’d be killed on the spot for betraying the fire nation. You did nothing but hide underneath Azula’s shadow and power. Yeah, I have every right to be upset.” You replied tears falling down your cheeks. Everyone was witnessing this mess. You were smarter, stronger, and more reasonable than her. “Zuko out of all the mistakes you’ve made. Cheating on me is the worst one. I know I’m beautiful even if I’m skinny or not. Not many chubby girls get boyfriends you sure were right about that. You should’ve rejected me from the start because I don’t need your pity.” You spoke finally feeling relieved. You said everything you’ve been wanting to say. “You heard us that day? Why didn’t you confront us then?” Zuko asked looking Towards Mai and then at you. “I had hope that along the way you’d realize what you did was wrong and you’d fall in love with me. 3 months later it’s the same. Clearly, I was wrong. I’m done. I’m dumping your ass. I hope you feel guilty for body shaming and lying.” You replied holding onto Katara’s arm. You couldn’t help but do so. She’s your best friend since you’ve met her. “ One day there will be an amazing man who will fall in love with you. He’ll love everything about you.” Katara said. You smiled and hugged her. “ Awe!” Aang and Sokka said in unison.
