(SPOILERS if you havent seen it obviously)

About 3ish minutes into the episode we see Clark be affected by red sun radiation, one of the non-Kryptonite weakness Superman has.

In the comics we first learn about this weakness in Action Comics #300 (1963), cover art by Curt Swan, George Klein, and Joe Letterese, where Superman is transported to the future by the Superman Revenge Squad, where the sun turned red thus losing his powers and has to find a way back home.

At the place where Jimmy was captured, we meet Monsieur Mallah and the Brain, at least MAwS version of these characters. I talk more about them in here. The episode has them depicted more like an old married couple with no supervillainous intentions compared to their comic counterparts...

who often associate themselves as enemies to the Doom Patrol and affliated with the Brotherhood of Evil. Also the Brain is usually French in the comics, here in MAwS, the Brain is German. The cover is from Outsiders #37 (2006) cover art by Daniel Acuna.

Back outside we see where Monsieur Mallah and the Brain took Jimmy, Cadmus Minefield.

Cadmus/Project Cadmus/the DNA Project, is known for its genetic engineering projects. The organization makes its first appearance in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #135 (1971) created by legendary comic book creator, Jack Kirby. Cadmus is pretty well known for cloning Superboy/Kon-el/Conner Kent. Like in MAwS Cadmus is a government sanctioned division that's located outside of Metropolis. Ironic since in MAwS the government disavows Cadmus. You can read more about it on these two pages from Who's Who in the DC Universe #12 (1991), the art is done by Dan Jurgens, Dennis Janke, and Anthony Tollins.

Later in the forest we see Lois and Clark have to deal with the OMACs.

In the comics, Jack Kirby created OMAC, at the time, the acronym stood for One Man Army Corp. Buddy Blank of Earth-AD (a future post-apocalyptic Earth) was selected to be part of the OMAC program where with the help of the Brother Eye satellite grants him powers of super strength, stamina and density control. The cover art here for OMAC #1 (1971) was done by Jack Kirby, Mike Royer, and Gaspar Saladino.

Years later OMAC gets reinvented to be a cyborgs of Brother Eye that was developed by Batman thanks to his paranoia about super powered heroes turning evil. The page here is from the OMAC Project #5 (W: Greg Rucka, P&I :Jesus Saiz, C: Hi-Fi, L: Phil Balsman). This iteration of OMAC uses the acronym for Omni-Mind and Community. These Cyborgs make their first appearance in the OMAC Project #1 (2005). MAwS's OMACs are a lot more robotic and Evangelion-esque designed compared to how they look in the comics. Note the mohawk/fin designs on OMACs heads in both iterations of the comics and how the robots are designed in MAwS.

Monsieur Mallah mentions one dimensions in the universe where he and the Brain can be accepted. This brings to mind...

DC's multiverse. The multiverse makes its first appearance in the Flash #123 (1961) where Barry Allen and Jay Garrick meet for the first time. DC's multiple Earths have changed over the years from having only 52 distinct Earths to now infinite. The Multiverse map created by Grant Morrison and Rian Hughes, here is from Multiversity comic series.

Someone on the MAwS crew is a fan of the ED-209 design in Robocop.

After the fight with the OMACs, the Brain talks about the General. The only person in DC comics who usually goes by that moniker is...

General Wade Eiling. The panels here are from Captain Atom #1 (1987) (W: Cary Bates, P: Pat Broderick, I: Bob Smith, C: Carl Gafford, L: John Costanza). General Eiling is often associated with Suicide Squad/Task Force X. So it's possible that much like Parasite and Ivo, the MAwS team are combining characters by having...

him be a combination of General Eiling and General Sam Lane, Lois's dad. But who knows. Gotta wait for confirmation if this is either Eiling or Lane.

the symbolism of the yellow horse🐎 on wades cozy home shirt and sweater attempt at analysis:

the horse is yellow🟡 just like logans suit, yellow🟡 symbolizes strength. a horse symbolizes strength, courage and freedom. usually logan is seperated from the x men,wishing to do his own thing in movies, etc. but it has reigns on it it has been domesticated. a horse is a companion, a helper. an animal.

the black could represents domestication, or control. and around it is change again in white. so maybe the horse is in a controlled domestic environment (black) that represents wade's house. and around that environment is something completely new (white) and different that is, wade's universe.

all throughout its hair and snout on top if it is a white streak, white represents change so the animal (logan) we could say a change went through core of his mind. and it can talk as well, it's a talking animal.

its saying "gosh wilbur!" hes scared of the change, of the new universe, it's very shocking. it must be nice that wade is helping him out.

it is a reference of a talking horse a talking animal from a 60's tv show 'mister ed'

"Mister Ed (Himself) is a horse who is owned by Wilbur Post. Mister Ed is not just any horse, he talks to Wilbur. But this gets Wilbur in all kinds of trouble because Mister Ed won't talk to anyone else, so Carol , Wilbur's wife, thinks that Wilbur loves Mister Ed more then he loves her, because he spends so much time with Mister Ed. Mister Ed also talks on the telephone and goes out of his barn to cause mischief, for which Wilbur gets blamed."

Wilbur is basically Wade he's the only one who understands this yellow horse/animal (Logan) because the horse found the first person he ever liked so he decided to talk to him (mr ed [the horse] says that in the showwwwww aaa]. thats why he talked to Wade. and the first time they met, Mr Ed literally immediately got tired of 'the human' and his overwhelming chatting, just like logan got tired of wade in the movie.

and wilbur is like the weird peppy chatty guy who's OBSESSED with the horse and insists on keeping it in his home [THATS INT HE SHOW TOOOO] and the horse is like a quiet grumpy animal.

maybe logan will go around wade's universe and wade will be blamed for whatever he does? it makes sense. like the wolverine is an anomaly just like miles was in spiderverse. but wade loves him more than himself FOR SURE since wade loves everybody whos a good person so much :) he has so much love for the world and people like himself, that he will sacrifice himself for them to live, always!

and kinda more than his universe a tiny bit because he doesnt say lets do it together, do whatever is necessary to save it. he pushes logan out of his way and sacrifices his own self to try to save it, he tells logan to say hi to his friends for him (the audience).

he is wearing his own colors on the outside in the form of a soft fuzzy jumper. except the red is now pink, the black is now brown due to the yellow, logan's yellow color, added to it.

it's fuzzy and cozy it's warmth , and its coming from his own self. he is able to cover himself with his own colors now and comfort himself and logan.

deadpool's red ,his always exposed red, his beautiful loving passionate heart is going slightly cool, it's calming down, colors to more cool tones like altheas colors which are purple/blue and the blue of logan's costume. he has two people giving him the blue/cool color now. purple means love so that means he has more love in his heart, more peace.

we can see the green/blue text from the horse it's like his calming strong words are speaking inside of wade's chest. they're colored in the green color which is logans colors together. he's hearing logan out a little. i believe green represents family, growth, its slightly green.

the blue represents peace and harmony. with his yellow horse inside his chest, with strength in his chest his heart grows harmonious with his universe. maybe he won't chase the universe and it's approval and look within and around himself. and see peace, love for himself in his family.

althea's colors are usually cool, purple. in this movie for example, which means wade has peace and love at home and it is mixing, but its rare for wade to wear such colors blended. there's usually a sharp separation.

the color of domesticity and control in black is brown with yellow added to it. aka his domestic life is stronger, his home support system with logan. his family is stronger. who's gonna protect an old lady and a defenseless woman (wade)? also he's taking more of a control of his life, his emotions.

mr ed is telling wilbur to go talk to vanessa on the shirt, perhaps!

Chicago Med:

Sam Abrams/Elle:

Elle became a counsellor because her father was mentally ill and they couldn’t afford to get help. He started showing signs of bipolar when Elle was a child and they couldn’t afford the meds/counselling as they had no health insurance so she watched him decline. Both her and her mother tried to help him but he ended up killing himself. One of her greatest fears is the illness being passed along to her.

Chicago Fire:

Jeff Clarke/Noelle:

Noelle left an abusive relationship for Chicago, her ex was a political fixer who used to hurt her. She knew that he would never let her leave so she downloaded the contents of his laptop onto a flash drive as leverage so he doesn’t come after her and she doesn’t give it to the police.

Sam Carver/Ava

Ava is phenomenal at pool because she used to spend her childhood (12+) in poolhalls with her father who liked to bet big. The more drunk he got however, the worse he was which led to Ava taking over the cue so they didn’t lose their heat/food/rent that month. When he had no money to bet, he would bet sexual favours from her as an incentive with his friends. After a few loses she made sure she was always the one that came out on top.

Fire Country:

Bode Leone/Fern

Their entire relationship. When they got together Fern was a paramedic at the time helping train the prisoners to apply onsite first aid. She fell in love with Bode through spending time with him and the two began an intimate relationship while he was still incarcerated. Legally inmates in a prison cannot consent to sex because of the power dynamics and she would have been at risk of losing her job and poss jail time. They tell people the physical part of the relationship didn’t occur until he was free but in reality it was a lot earlier.

Haven:

Nathan Wuornos/Kasey:

The reason that Nathan can feel Kasey is because she spent time in the barn and doesn’t remember it. As a kid she came across it during a camping trip on the island when Audrey was Lucy. Agent Howard was coming and going quite a bit and she followed him inside out of curiosity. When he realised, she was ejected but it altered her fundamentally.

L&O:

Vince Riley/Elyse:

The reason Elyse stopped drinking is because she almost killed herself one night driving home drunk. She woke up in her car with her face in an airbag after crashing into a parked car before driving away. The next day she left money in the mailbox for repairs and checked herself into rehab.

Ed Green/Ronnie:

Ronnie’s work with IAB started earlier than Ed realises. She was actually approached about investigating him back when they were working Gangs together. IAB knew someone was on the take in the unit and because of Ed’s history with gambling he was the prime candidate. Ronnie cleared him of the investigation and Ed has absolutely no idea his partner was looking into him.

Magnum PI:

Rick Wright/Joni:

Joni took a rough tumble during her last surfing competition, she was told by a doctor in Miami, she needs a knee surgery otherwise there could be permanent damage. She hasn’t told Rick as she wants to finish out the season and she knows he would urge her to get the surgery ASAP due to the risk.

Mayor of Kingstown

Mike McLusky/Stella:

Their relationship. Mike loves Stella, Stella loves Mike but they can never be together out in the real world because she’s his FBI handler. If anyone knew Mike would be labelled a snitch and horrifically murdered and she would lose her job and the man she loves.

NCIS:

Jimmy Palmer/Elodie:

The reason Elodie returned to the US is because her fiancé was killed over work she was doing identifying bodies in mass graves in Albania. She had discovered evidence of a war criminal hiding within the current regime and was working with her journalist fiancé to expose him when their car exploded. She was meant to be alongside him but had cancelled plans to work.

Numb3rs:

Ian Egerton/Valentina:

Ian has been secretly looking to relocate to LA so he can be with Val. The thing with the nerve agent really shit him up so he’s decided he wants to spend as much time with her as possible because life is far too short.

The Rookie:

Wade Grey/Everly:

Everly has not been telling Wade the extent of the harassment/abuse she has been receiving from Waldron. They had a recent physical altercation, that has left her shaken.

SOA:

David Hale/Josie:

After killing Stahl, Jax came to see Josie one last time before she left for Santo Padre with David. David had run out for coffee when he turned up at her door, told her she was safe, implying he had killed Stahl. He told her he loved her, that he had always loved her and he kissed her goodbye. Josie will never tell David any of this.

Supernatural:

Dean Winchester/Harlow:

Harlow realises the deal she made with Guy is going to kill her long before she gets to the ten year mark. She tries to keep it from Dean for as long as possible.

Tulsa King:

Dwight Manfredi/Dahlia:

Dahlia is actually the powerhouse in Tulsa. She’s the one with the connections, leverage and capital.

Twisters:

Tyler Owens/Sophie:

Sophie was raised by her grandparents because Sophie’s father is in prison for killing her mother. She had dropped Sophie off at her parents before going home to pack, her husband came home early from the bar, realised she was trying to leave and ended up shooting her. It took them three days to track him down before he was arrested. Tyler is aware of all of this.
