Is it soon to start shipping Aemond and Alys? I truly hope they cast an actress in her 40s for many reasons:

- Actresses start losing jobs around this age and that would be a very important statement (they made Velaryons black so...too hard hiring a 40-year-old woman to play a 40-year-old woman??)

- It's said in the book Aemond showed no interest in girls his own age. Making Alys look like those girls would be a poor choice. She has to stand out

- Aemond has mommy issues as a fact. This is the man who killed his nephew and started a war his family was trying to avoid. Alicent's disapproval will hit him hard and it makes sense he feels welcomed by a more experienced lady that reminds him the most important bond he had with someone his whole life. Classic Oedipus complex

- He apparently lost his virginity to an older woman. We don't know the effects of this in his sexual preferences. He was embarassed but that doesn't mean he hated it.

The "she was 40 but looked younger" is bullshit. By the book's own accounts she was good looking but still distinguishable from the other women in Harrenhal.

So I say let's have our MILF and break some TV taboos.

My choice would be someone in the lines of Antje Traue (pictures). If you saw her in Dark, you'll get the appeal. She's 42 btw
