ough this is one I've been working on in bits and pieces for probably over a year now, as a prequel to a much larger project involving Kyle as part of Young Justice (the animated show). not gonna get into it now otherwise we'll be here forever lol

But as for Uncle Hal, the premise is simple: It's a 5+1 fic of Green Lantern being the cool uncle of the Justice League. More specifically, to their sidekicks (just don't let them hear you say that) Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy, and Aqualad. Basically taking his comic book relationships with Wally and Roy and extrapolating it to Dick, Donna, and Kaldur (sorry Garth fans) as well

tbh I keep getting stuck on the Donna chapter bc she wasn't a part of the team in the show and I don't really know what she was like as Wonder Girl. At this point maybe I should just replace her with M'gann... Oh well, here's an excerpt from the Wally chapter:

“Whoa!” Wally yelled, just barely managing to duck under a whirling boomerang before it took his head off. His accelerated vision caught sight of several strands of orange hair floating through the air, sliced through by the bladed projectile. “Dude, you’re already throwing metal boomerangs, sharpening them is just overkill!”

In response, Captain Boomerang merely laughed and threw another one, only for it to bounce off of an emerald stop sign that had suddenly appeared out of thin air. He barely had time to look up with a confused expression before a glowing green replica of his signature weapon (though not as sharp, thankfully) thwacked solidly against his temple, knocking him out cold. 

“What goes around comes around, Ozzy.” Green Lantern chuckled at his own joke as he descended from the afternoon sky, his ring shining brightly like a star even in the daylight.

“Ha ha, very punny.” Wally rolled his eyes. He’d been awestruck the first time he’d met the senior hero, but subsequent visits and lame jokes had firmly washed him of that notion. “You’re worse than Robin, y’know that?”

“Nice to see you too, Kid.” Green Lantern floated down to land next to Wally. “And puns are a sign of intelligence. Takes real brains to appreciate them.”

“More like dad brains. Must’ve come in with those gray streaks, eh old man?”

“I fully maintain that these are what I get from having to bail you young brats out of trouble all the time.” Green Lantern wagged a finger at Wally. “Your uncle probably has it worse under that red dome of his. Speaking of which, where is Flash? It’s not like him to let you fight one of his Rogues alone, even if it is just Boomerang.”

Wally kicked at the ground nervously, looking away from Green Lantern’s masked gaze. He wondered for a fraction of a second if he was fast enough to outrun the older hero, but quickly decided that was a bad idea. “Um… he said it was probably fine. I’m thirteen now, and it is just Captain Boomerang.”

“Uh huh.” Green Lantern picks up the discarded boomerang and bends the sharpened steel like it’s rubber, twisting it into a metal knot around Captain Boomerang’s wrists. When he speaks, his tone isn’t quite as lighthearted as before, carrying just a hint of the icy tone that makes criminals from Earth to Oa quake in their boots.  “And Flash actually said that?”

“Well… notinsomanywordsno.” Wally’s words blurred together from nervousness at the reminder that Green Lantern wasn’t just his uncle’s goofball bachelor friend Hal, but a founding member of the Justice League, some of whom disapproved of allowing kids to be heroes even with adult supervision.

Green Lantern stared Wally down for a few long seconds, then burst out laughing. “Relax, Kid Flash. You’re not in any trouble with me.”

My brain is rotating Black Spider (the earth-16 version really) and Spider-Man in a jar and I can't stop thinkibg about how a switcheroo situation would work with these two. Spidey (who can never catch a break—a cardinal rule of Spider-Man) would pop out into the DC world and it is on sight. Any hero who encounters him would be trying to serve his ass on a platter. Not because he necessarily sounds or looks like Black Spider, but because they serve the same attitude.

Speaking of Team Arrow x Team Flash...

So the speedsters looked at Marvel's crazy interconnected family tree, said 'Is anyone gonna do that for dc?' and didn't wait for an answer.

We've got the iconic couples, Wallace West/Emiko Queen and Jess Chambers/Andy Curry, who are tying the Arrow fam and the Aqua fam to the Flash Family.

We've also got Avery and Super-Man who are majorly crushing on each other (really it's just a matter of time). That ties in the Super fam.

You've got Gold Beetle (descendant of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold) crushing big time on Jai West.

Jesse Quick and Hourman were married and had a kid, so there's another one.

And now Kid Flash is Tai Pham's only hero friend??? I know where this is going. The Flash fam is trying to get a Green Lantern to get bingo.

i was extremely sleep deprived yesterday when i discovered the dragon survival mod which was LIFE CHANGING when you're on three hours of sleep so of course i made a whole custom forest dragon texture in one day about it. and. just for fun, some concept art i made for it:

earth fact time. this is NOT A DRILL! two great white sharks have become best friends!! their names are simon and jekyll and they've travelled together for over 4,000 miles. this is a huge discovery, because great white sharks are usually solitary creatures!

Dp x dc AU - If the Internation Space Station orbits the Earth 16 times a day, then so does the Watchtower.

Danny’s on track to move out of his parent’s house and move to Gotham for college (He swears that Sam bribed the board to let him in- and she wasn’t even going to that university!) but the dorms don’t open for another three days and he cannot wait to escape. Seeing his parents try to perfect yet another weapon to use against him while he changed out the ecto filters on the portal was too much. He’s completely over the idea of staying when he already has everything packed and ready to go.

The solution? Take all his boxes into his haunt in the Ghost Zone, leave them there and then spend some time in camping in space. He’s already explored the Infinite Realms enough to be bored of it for a minute (not to mention he wants to avoid getting more ‘favors’ to do from Clockwork) and hell, he just wants to see some stars.

He grabs his tent, a sleeping bag and all the food and things he could need and brings it into the atmosphere with him. Keeping it all tethered to him, Danny stays in a fixed position above Gotham (Cause that’s where he’s going next, duh) and treats himself to some quality Me-time.

Only problem is that several times a day he has to make himself intangible while he lets satellites and things pass through. Easy enough and honestly pretty interesting to observe as a wannabe engineering student.

He doesn’t know when exactly it happened the first time- but it turns out the Heroes of Earth all congregated in a satelite office building? It was bigger than the ISS! What the heck!?

Going intangible but not invisible, the JL spot Danny and are incredibly confused how an ‘Alien’ teen just happens to appear in their meeting rooms disappearing at the rate (slowly but surely) of the Watchtower moving through space. Was that camping gear? How was he roasting a marshmallow? Did propane camping stoves even work in space??

16 times a day they get the opportunity to ask Danny a few questions. He mostly ignores them or gives them joke answers. Eventually Martian Manhunter phases through the Watchtower to join him.

They talk about how hard transition periods in life can be and having strained relationships with family. J’ohn returns to the watchtower on its next cycle and reports that the kid is just fine, being an adult is just a hard thing to do.

Dani x Jason Prompt

(Because i dont see enough of these two together. Also, this is another prompt i found in my fic files that i never did anything with.)

While Danny is in Amity Park protecting the ghost portal, Dani explores the world. Danny might be powerful enough to put down any threat, even Ancients, but she isn't as lucky. Her best defense against Vlad or the GIW is to never be in the same place two days in a row. Not to say she isn't powerful in her own right - she's yet to meet a ghost in her travels that she couldn't utterly crush, and even if she had, she's got the most loyal dog in both this world and the next to have her six.

Dani has discovered a great deal of beauty throughout the world in her few short years of life, but also unfathomable evil and undescribable corruption. She does what she can in every place she passes through, her ghost powers the ultimate cheat code for investigation and subterfuge, bringing to light the things that once hid in the dark.

But while scoping out yet another child trafficking ring, she crosses paths with a spirit of vengeance. At least, that's the only explanation she can come up with for how he's able to turn his shock and horror into pure rage at the flip of a dime.

Until she realizes that he's a baby halfa. If he doesn't learn how to mediate his emotions, he's going to burn out one of his halves.

Maybe she can help him stabilize into a proper spirit of justice and keep him from following the path that Vlad went down - oh shit, he doesn't even know that he's undead. Well, this is going to be a project and a half. But Dani is nothing if not resourceful - she's more than willing to put in the work if it means making an ally of the fourth known halfa.

Featuring:

Dani and jason are about the same age (16-17ish)

They run into each other during jason's LoA-sponsored world tour, investigating the same trafficking ring

Dani totally helps with the crime lord grand plan, but also wrestles jason down from the more messed up family drama stuff he did, like attacking tim, and knocks some sense into him and finds a better solution for dealing with the joker

I think people forget that in addition to all the shit that Dick goes through in the YJ animated show, like losing Wally, countless betrayals/double agent-y stuff, losing even more teammates, watching Babs get paralysed, etc, Dick also lost Jason in that universe.

And we don't really get to see much of it, we get a glimpse of it only when Dick himself tells Tim "Just don't die", and later when Kaldur says "Now Jason is dead".

But Dick goes through that too. Despite all the suffering he was put through ever since S1 basically (Haly's, failsafe, "I don't want to be the Batman", ...), we collectively need to remember that he lost Jason too, there.

Not to mention, the potential that the next season has (they must make it.) with the Sanctuary.

I may have many issues with Countdown but I can appreciate it for a few things and that includes Jason meeting murder Batman* (Earth-51 Batman)

I mean to start Jason clearly doesn't agree with the guy. He's very not into the whole "let's kill all these guys" attitude and thinks murder batman is crazy (and outright says so) But also. He puts on the suit he's given that this Batman made, he's fights with him. He mourns him. He's upset with the death. After Batman failed him on his own earth he meets one that accepts him

And augh. They haunt me. Aughh I wish I could write I wanna write and get to see a fic about them so so bad

Because like! The way murder batman was SO quick to start seeing Jason as his own dead Jason and start referring to him as such.

The way murder batman never got to know about Jason's Red Hooding but AUGH. Can you just IMAGINE the moral dilemma he'd have with that??! He probably would've killed a crime lord Jason before ever learning his identity, or learning it too late. Aughhhaoujgh

They had to kill off murderbatman he wouldve been too powerful otherwise. For example I think he wouldve Not been willing to let go of this living Jason

Multiverse kidnapping story where after meeting and then leaving, murder bat finds our Jason amd just. Fucking takes him and pretends it's his Jason. Augh that'd be so fun
