If I had a nickel for every time I accidentally made poison gas while cleaning the house and nearly killed myself, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice *violent coughing*

I’m watching Willy’s wonderland and so far I do absolutely love it to be clear I’m having the time of my life, but the fire hazards in this movie are driving me a little crazy. Handcuffing your daughter to the radiator? Chaining nic cage inside? I mean he’s obviously trying to let nic cage get killed, but still!!!! Not by fire!!

going feral
i’ve mentioned feral alphas and omegas in a few posts before, but what does that mean? this post will discuss ferality,* its causes, common feral behaviors, and treatment.
*note: i will be using ‘ferality’ as opposed to the technically proper ‘ferity’ because the latter is based on the latin root and sounds pretentious, and the former is based on the english word and is more accessible
what is ferality?
ferality is a medical emergency caused most commonly by social isolation. it causes those afflicted to behave erratically, and is the most common cause of forced bites. it is one of the top ten causes of death for those over 80 years old. it is also called ‘loneliness disease’ or ‘bite fever,’ and is often euphemistically described as ‘losing oneself.’ in the past, more than a week of ferality was incurable. today, synthetic hormones and careful medically supervised management leads to over 90% of those afflicted to make a full recovery if treated before one week, and over 80% to regain most normal function if treated before two weeks. outcomes become less positive the longer someone experiences ferality, but there have only been 1,762 documented deaths directly from ferality in the US since 1980.
why does it happen?
humans in the omegaverse are pack animals not only because their ancestors saw practical advantages to living, hunting, and raising pups in groups, but because they were biologically dependent on one another. in simplest terms, interacting with pack aids the body in maintaining its optimal balance between the twelve dynamic (i.e., alpha, beta, and omega) hormones. prolonged lack of social support means that these hormones become unbalanced, leading the body to a state of multi-system disregulation.
ferality greatly reduces people’s access to the areas of the brain responsible for decision making, planning, empathy, and abstraction. it is the body’s desperate bid to regulate itself by any means necessary. those afflicted become impulsive, aggressive, and violent in some cases, so it is essential both for the afflicted person and those nearby that if you spot a feral person, you call emergency services immediately.
how do you spot it?
feral humans are fairly easy to spot based on their unusual, erratic, impulsive behavior. they may sniff the air (or other people) unsubtly, grab or touch things (or people) and fail to respond to spoken language. ferality is most commonly associated with inappropriate scent marking and biting for good reason: a feral person’s primary drive is to share scent with someone to help bring themselves back into balance. there are also some behaviors that can generally be attributed to the different dynamic sexes:
alphas
feral alphas tend to make aggressive eye contact as a posturing behavior
growling, snarling, and clicking at no one in particular
clenching and unclenching the fists and shifting from foot to foot
violence, especially toward other alphas
an acrid scent, like burning rubber or sulfur
betas
feral betas’ eyes tend to shift rapidly, settling on nothing for very long
humming, clicking, huffing at no one in particular
similar to alphas, they clench and unclench the fists and shift from foot to foot
general restlessness, moving quickly
climbing and perching inappropriately (e.g. on tables, vehicles, or buildings)
a rotting scent, like old meat or milk
omegas
feral omegas tend to make glancing eye contact—they meet someone’s eyes, hold, and look away several times
whining, purring, and clicking at no one in particular
baring the neck indiscriminately in a bid to entice a bite
hiding/burrowing (e.g. under tables or in closets. there have been several cases of feral omegas in clothing stores nesting in the clothing racks)
a chemical scent, like bleach or ammonia
how is it treated?
if you spot someone afflicted by ferality, it is essential to call for an ambulance immediately.
treatment begins in the ambulance. typically, EMS technicians anesthetize the individual for everyone’s safety. once it is safe to do so, the technicians draw blood and begin measuring vital signs and hormone levels to ensure that the individual truly is feral. in the past 30 years, rapid tests have made measuring hormone levels faster than ever. these levels are recorded and passed off to hospital triage, along with a record of any emergency hormones administered.
the hospital then brings the individual to the feral ward, where they have an individual room and nesting material marked with synthetic pheromones of all three dynamics. if the individual has been feral for less than ~three days, typically this is enough to trigger their body to begin regulating itself. in some cases, the individual may need direct scent marking in order to jumpstart regulation. if it’s necessary, a nurse or technician will swab the individual’s face and neck with a cotton swab soaked in a synthetic pheromone solution.
in more moderate to severe cases, the individual may need further assistance regulating themselves. in these cases, the individual will receive intravenous hormones and extremely frequent monitoring.
typically, after a few days of hormone therapy, the individual’s body will have reached a state of equilibrium and will be able to maintain the balance itself again. however, in some severe cases, the individual’s body may be unable to maintain the balance. these people will need hormone therapy every other week indefinitely. in some cases (especially those where there is also malnutrition or other severe condition), the issue will resolve itself with time. in others, the hormone treatment is for life.
how is it prevented?
the best prevention is maintaining healthy pack bonds. if, for some reason, this is inaccessible, clinics, health departments, and hospitals typically have nesting materials marked with synthetic pheromones. in the past five years, some nesting material companies have begun offering materials marked with synthetic pheromones. in addition, matching agencies sometimes offer scent-marked clothing or nesting materials for sale, though this practice is judged fairly harshly.

Officially got my first hate anon! I like that I’m a safe place for many people here, and known for being kind because I am, but that doesn’t mean I can’t take you to the library! And guess what you dumb bitch, I was doing laundry and I HAVE TIME
Tumblr media
First of all you fucking loser ya mama must’ve been cleaning with bleach and ammonia because of how stupid you sound, and if you’re this fuckin dumb she should’ve aborted your cretin ass.
The fact that you sent the same shit to multiple people just proves you know how to copy and paste. You’re a pussy. You say this shit on anon like it gives you some power when the gag is you’re a fucking loser who has nothing else going on than tumblr bullshit and since you have nothing going on on there too you wanna start bullshit. Newsflash! I’m not the fuckin 1 or the 2. I reported you to tumblr for perpetuating hate of protected categories ya dumb fuck.
Now let’s unpack some of these ‘claims’ you think you made.
1. I’ve never stolen shit. Everything I’ve posted has been an original thought from MY mind, something you seem to lack. I don’t need to steal shit from anybody.
2. Obviously you must be a fan since you’re able to identify such ‘claims’ (fake news btw)
3. I’m not gay, if you hadn’t noticed how much I talk about DICK AND BALLS. Shout out to all the lesbians and those who do refer to themselves as dykes! You make the world go round ❤️
4. Ugly I am not, in fact it must make your blood boil at how I’m NOT fucking ugly. I have big titties and a fat ass, I don’t need to offer Joesph Quinn $1 million to look my way because he’d look my way for free
5. I’m not confused about my sexuality, I like dick
6. Everybody you named are just a handful of the sweetest people I’ve met online, who have all been burned by bigger writers for one reason or another. Nobody has made a clique, it’s called friendships of which you have none. I’m friends with many people here, many who to my surprise hate each other, but I manage to safely and lovingly interact with most, and you will NOT destroy the bubble I’ve built, especially when it comes to my beautiful and lovely anons (of which you are not and never will be)
7. This wasn’t in your manifesto but I’m going to assume you’re another writer as well because let’s face it, there’s no way you’re not, not with being this chronically online.
8. Idk who tf you’re mad at but it ain’t us beloved
9. Fuck you
10. You gonna end up eating cement running your mouth like this, because if you do this shit irl…idk get ya casket ready or somethin

I see a lot of 'diy gear' around so I'm surprised I've hardly ever seen bleach dyed shirts! They're honestly one of the coolest, easiest, and relatively inexpensive ways to make discreet gear - especially if you're like me and you can't exactly find shirts of your theriotype being sold.
Tutorial under the cut!! :3
What you will need:
A black t-shirt, preferably 100% cotton (avoid polyester and spandex)
Bleach
Water
Sidewalk/blackboard chalk, or a chalk pen
A paintbrush to apply the bleach
A disposable cup
A bit of cardboard or plastic to put under the shirt (to prevent the design from bleeding through onto the other side)
GLOVES and other safety gear (ie, a mask and goggles)
fabric paint, not puffy paint (optional but if you're heavy handed like I am it helps so you can fix screw ups)
SAFETY:
Work in a well ventilated area.
Wear gloves, goggles, and ideally a filtration mask when handling bleach.
WASH YOUR HANDS thoroughly after handling the bleach and do not touch your eyes or face before washing your hands
Be mindful of chemical reactions that can occur when mixing bleach with other cleaning products - never, ever, EVER mix bleach with anything containing ammonia as it can react and create toxic chlorine gas.
Keep bleach out of the reach of pets and small children, and if you have small animals like birds or rodents, work AWAY from them as the fumes can damage their lungs.
Make sure you read the back of your bleach container so you know how to handle and dispose of it safely.
Process:
Slide the cardboard into the shirt, adjusting it so you'll be drawing on the side you want your design on.
Use the chalk to draw your design on the fabric - don't worry about screwing up here, it'll wash out later. (If you want to, you can digitally draw your design, print it out, then trace the back with chalk and press it onto the shirt to transfer the art)
Put on your safety gear (ESPECIALLY your gloves) and move to a ventilated area (I did this on my back porch)
Carefully pour some bleach into your cup, then cut it with water. Remember that the more water you add, the more of the solution you'll need to apply to get your design to show up.
Apply the solution over your sketch using your paintbrush. You might need to apply it multiple times if your bleach solution is less concentrated.
Once your satisfied with your design, let it sit for 20 minutes to allow the bleach to fully stain the fabric.
After 20 minutes, rinse out the fabric under cool water. Make sure you're wearing your gloves as you do this so you don't hurt your skin.
Wash your shirt in your washing machine by itself, otherwise the bleach might transfer to other laundry. Put it in the dryer after or hang it up to air dry.
Clean up your area, wash your paintbrush out thoroughly, throw the cup away, and then remove your gloves to scrub your hands with soap and water.
Once your shirt is clean and dry, you can use fabric paint to touch up any mistakes. I used black paint to remove excess lines and white to give my design eye shines. Follow the directions for fabric paint on the back of the bottle, as the instructions for washing it can be different. Don't use puffy paint, the touch ups will end up raised and it'll look funny.
And there you have it! :D DIY gear shirt for all your alterhuman needs >:)

>Equius: Hunt the Wolf (P2)
4:33 PM.
The low-built wooden shacks rose up around you. You are comforted by the amount of life on display within it's boundaries. The sounds of home-raised animals created a gentle din as primitive humans bustled about their business. At least until you drew near.
While such malnourished humans did not fare better than their modern counterparts, it ultimately didn't matter. Regardless of the time period, when you walked into the view of normal people, heads turned to gape. You were used to towering over those around you, even those you were closest to did not come close to your height.. But while those you loved might not mind your size, it was obvious these people felt more strongly.
You were certain, you thought, that you were likely the largest person they had ever seen. Most likely, you were the largest they would ever see. And in your dark, expensive clothes, with your weapon strapped to your hilt.. You appeared to them as a being out of stories. A knight or a warrior of legend, perhaps… Or else a grim reaper, a force of darkness sent by an evil force beyond their understanding. You did not know what they thought you were, but you saw their jaws agape. Their eyes filled with apprehension.
The first you spoke to barely came up to your chest, your cloaked figure bearing down over them as your deep voice rumbled out your question. The answer came stuttered and uncertain, accompanied by a desperate gesture of the finger, as if it would banish you from their presence. You could almost swear you heard a muttered prayer as your boots padded silently across the packed dirt.
You came to a building, larger than those you had seen up until now. It amused you how close it was to the church, almost as much as it amused you that of the two, The Broken Table inn was larger. Not that it prevented you from needing to duck as you passed through the short doorway.
The inside was dingy, as you expected. Though this was the heart of the town, where all farmers and travelers would come to for respite, this place was not rich enough, nor was there competition enough, to justify any level of cleanliness above pigsty. As long as the alcohol was strong and the beds dry, it would be good enough. Though this early in the day, the patronage was sparse.
The man who tended the bar was the short and stout kind. Despite the unkempt appearance of his place of work, the bartender at least seemed to maintain his own appearance. He had a carefully trimmed mustache and a freshly bleached apron. His cheeks were a rosy color for the few moments he was distracted by wiping the counter with a strip of cloth, but they drained of hue as he saw you.
Fear was of no impediment to your mission here, however. You flicked back the fabric of your cloak as you approached, showing the glint of silver hanging from your waist. A sword, to these people, was a symbol of pure authority. You were certain he would answer your questions, if for nothing else than to avoid being on it's receiving end.. Not that you ever would harm the innocent man.
"Can I help you, Sire?"
You furrowed your brows as you looked him over. You wondered if the scent of ammonia was from whatever he used to bleach his apron. You hoped that it was.
"Where did it happen."
Your voice was short and stoic, lacking inflection as it always was, especially when you were on the job. If the man wasn't afraid before, he was now.
"We don't.. Talk about that. It's bad luck, see? I don't want the-"
You didn't let him finish.
"Where did it happen."
This time the man seemed cowed by the question, or perhaps he just recognized there was more trouble in front of him than in the fields.
He let out a low breath and said "It was the Narrows' farm, on the south end of town."
You'd heard enough. You'd already turned to head out the door. But it seemed with your back turned, the bartender finally grew enough of a backbone to call out to you.
"You leave the family alone, you hear? They've lost enough. It's hard enough losing one boy past infancy, but two?"
You paused in the doorway.
Fuck. Fiddlesticks.
Of course it was the alternative.

Oh no, silly brain rot
@o-i-w-u come get some gore
Au where the tsams characters all work at a school- but ya know me, murder murder murder- so uhm- everyone has a small twinge of evil- or a lot
And all the kids are orphans to explain why no one notices kids missing
Ack- murder school
Uuuhm- gore mention besties
Tw: gore, murder, death, children death, esting flesh, EVERYONE IS MURDERERS
Sun does art classes :D he really enjoys painting the most, and red just happens to be his favorite color! And who else but those misbehaving students to provide him with that red paint his loves so much? Whats a little loss of a misbehaving student for the cost of art after all? Besides, hes been teaching these kids for 3 months now! If their art hasnt improved yet, what use are they to him but paint providers?
Moon! Going with that basic bitch science teacher for him. He enjoys science and loves it even! It's such a nice pass time for him, something he can relax while doing! Thats why its so annoying when one of the students have to mess up his relaxation time! How could a student be so stupid to mix ammonia and bleach!? Some students just have to learn by being the victim of their own failed experiments... even if it results in a little death sometimes.
Killcode is a gym teacher. After all, who but the fast predator to be one? Kill code is well aware that he scares the students, and he thrives on that terror. He loves to give students difficult tasks. What does he care that you're getting ropeburn from climbing that 20 foot(about 6 meters, i think-) rope? If you fall, then you best get up and run and keep running til someone else falls, or you're going to find yourself torn to pieces to feed his family and other students.
Earth does both cooking and gardening! She loves planting things! Especially things like Castor Beans, Winter Daphne, and Dendrocnide moroides! She has a love for plants that are dangerous and well... dont be surprised if a Castor Bean seed ends up in your food if you happen to be rude to one of her favorite students. Earth may not like killing, but she does like knowing punishments have been given, even if it results in death. She pften cooks the meat of dead students so it doesn't go to waste. It is a shame to waste such good meat after all... and meat is good plant fertilizer.
Lunar does zoology! He brings animals into the school and lets the students meet them! Who cares if last weeks wolf killed a kid? Not Lunar, he's metal. The wolf couldn't hurt him! The raccoon had rabies, and it bit you? Well, the only way to tell with animals is cutting their head off and sending it to the lab, so say by to your head and off to Moon's lab it goes! And if he so happens to take you outside and into the woods within the schools the 3 miles of fencing? He's just there to feed the animals he keeps, and you happen to be the meal.
Bloodmoon does anatomy! If a body comes in whole, they'd use it to carve ooen and show their class, maybe eat an organ or two. When there's not one? Well... no one is gonna miss that short kid in the back, right? It would be fun to cut open a live one and let their students see a heart pumping, lungs drawing their last breaths.
BM1(Bloody) he especially loves the gore, he personally loves the live students to work on, finding the dead ones boring since they don't squirm and scream. He prides himself in making the students both terrified but intrigued
BM2(Harvest) prefers working on the dead bodies. The struggle of the live ones annoys him, too squirmy, too wriggly. Tho he does hate the cold feeling of the dead bodies, so sometimes he just kills a student the moment they walk in class to have a warm cadaver to work on.
SolarFlare teaches both math and reading. Personally, he doesn't like killing that much... but someone getting answers wrong irks him. He's worked so hard with these students for months, and that can't spell something simple that 'Knowledge' correctly? Or what 2544 ÷ 48 is? It's 53! They aren't worth his time, and he doesn't feel that another teacher should waste their time either. So he kills them, his go-to method being to break their necks so its quick and not too messy.
Solar is the janitor and technician. He's just... tired. There is too much cleaning to do, too many dead kids, and most of all... ugh, Eclipse is annoying. But he doesn't break his role of janitor, knowing that he really has nothing outside this school anyways, so whose gonna judge him for snapped and punching a student who annoys him? No one. At least he's not killing... or if he is, no one noticed... It's amazing what hydrogen peroxide can clean out of clothes after all.
Eclipse is the principal. He doesn't mind all the killing, but he prefers not to get his hands dirty. It's enertaining to watch students come complaining to him, though. He will kill, tho. A student breaming too many rules, making too many messes, out with no hall pass... those who break rules have no place in his eyes. So a quick death should do fine. But if there's one he just particularly hates... He's happy to take his time to peel off someone's skin

Hi! (Some of these are low toxixity, while others are potentially fatal) I spent the past 12 hours researching the different VERY COMMON household chemicals that you should never mix. Don't use this, these are not to be used for self defence or malicious intent. Stay safe:)
PARACETIC ACID [likely potential fatality]
×Peracetic acid is a highly corrosive and reactive chemical that can cause serious injury. It can be dangerous if inhaled, and high or repeated exposure can affect the liver and kidneys.
-Exposure-
Peracetic acid can be irritating to the eyes, mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, and skin. Exposure to PAA can cause lacrimation, extreme discomfort, and irritation to the upper respiratory tract.
hydrogen peroxide and vinegar = paracetic acid
>CHLOROFORM [potentially fatal]
×Chloroform is a substance that can be fatal if inhaled or ingested, especially at high concentrations or if taken too quickly
-Exposure-
Lower concentrations:
Dizziness, fatigue, light-headedness, nausea, confusion, and headaches
Higher levels:
Anaesthesia, changes in respiratory rate, cardiac effects, gastrointestinal effects, and effects on the liver and kidneys
Skin contact:
Rash, burning feeling, or dermatitis
Chronic exposure:
Liver damage, kidney damage, skin damage, and central nervous system damage
-Uses-
Chloroform is used recreationally, for suicide, assault, and homicide. It's also been used in occupational environments, manufacturing industries, and laboratories.
Bleach and Rubbing Alcohol = chloroform
>PHOSPHINE [high level Toxicity]
×Phosphine is a colorless, flammable, and highly toxic gas
-Appearance-
Pure phosphine is odorless, but technical grade samples have a strong odor of rotting fish or garlic.
-Toxicity-
Phosphine is a respirable poison that can cause serious effects at doses of 100–190 ppm, and can be fatal at doses of 400–600 ppm
-Hazards
Phosphine is heavier than air and can build up quickly in enclosed, low-lying, or poorly ventilated areas. It can self-ignite and explode.
Certain Pesticides and Water = phosphine gas
>CHLORAMINE [toxic, coma and death] ×Chloramine gas can cause a range of symptoms, including:
Coughing
Nausea
Shortness of breath
Watery eyes
Chest pain
Irritation to the throat, nose, and eyes
Wheezing
Pneumonia and fluid in the lungs
Glass Cleaner and Bleach = The combination of ammonia and bleach’s main ingredient, sodium hypochlorite, produces chloramine vapor
Ammonia and Bleach = chloramine
>CHLORINE GAS [potential fatality, but unlikely]
×Chlorine gas is a toxic, corrosive, and heavy, yellow-green gas with a strong, irritating odor:
-Appearance-
Chlorine gas is a yellow-green gas at room temperature, but it's a clear, amber-colored liquid when pressurized or cooled to below -30°F. -Toxicity-
Chlorine gas can irritate the eyes, throat, lungs, and skin, and it's harmful if swallowed. Chlorine gas can stay in the air for a few minutes to several hours
Different Drain Cleaners = Mixing different drain cleaners can cause the release of chlorine gas and may even lead to an explosion
Mildew Stain Remover and Bleach = chlorine gas
Lysol and Bleach = chlorine gas, The disinfectant Lysol shouldn’t be mixed with bleach. The bleach oxidizes the 2-benzyl-4-chlorophenol that is in Lysol, resulting in various irritating and toxic compounds
Oven Cleaner and Bleach = chlorine gas
Vinegar and Bleach = chlorine gas
Bleach and Lemon Juice = chlorine gas
Drain Cleaner and Bleach = chlorine gas

Top Tips for Cleaning and Maintaining Your Blinds
Tumblr media
Your blinds are an essential part of your home’s interior, offering privacy, light control, and style. Whether you have elegant California shutters, convenient motorized blinds, versatile zebra blinds, or chic roller shades, keeping them clean and well-maintained is crucial to ensure they remain functional and beautiful. Here are some practical tips for cleaning and maintaining various window treatments, from custom blinds to outdoor blinds, so they look fresh year-round.
1. Regular Dusting for All Blinds
One of the simplest ways to keep your window coverings pristine is regular dusting. For blinds, vertical blinds, sheers, and zebra blinds, use a microfiber cloth or a soft duster weekly. Run the cloth gently over the slats, or use a vacuum with a brush attachment on the lowest setting to avoid damaging delicate materials. Dusting is especially important for areas like Mississauga, Toronto, and Oakville, where city dust and debris can accumulate quickly.
2. Spot Cleaning for Fabric Shades and Drapes
If you have drapes, dream shades, or fabric-based window treatments, spot cleaning is the safest method for addressing stains. Use a mild detergent and a soft cloth, gently dabbing the stain to avoid spreading it further. For persistent stains, consult a professional cleaner, especially for high-quality custom blinds from a reputable blinds store.
3. Deep Clean Your Blinds with Soapy Water
For deep cleaning, outdoor blinds, roller shades, and California shutters can benefit from a gentle soapy water wash:
Step 1: Mix mild dish soap with warm water in a bucket.
Step 2: Use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe each slat, moving side to side to avoid bending or damaging them.
Step 3: Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid over-wetting as excessive moisture can cause warping or discoloration.
This method is especially useful for outdoor blinds, which are more exposed to dirt and environmental factors.
4. Cleaning Motorized Blinds
Motorized blinds are highly convenient, but they require a gentle touch. Regular dusting is best to prevent buildup around the motorized components. Avoid using water near the motor, and if needed, a slightly damp cloth can be used on the slats or fabric areas. It’s also a good idea to periodically check the battery and remote function for smooth operation.
5. Maintaining Sheers and Light Fabrics
Sheers and other light fabrics can often be machine-washed if they’re labeled as machine-washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and air dry them to prevent shrinking. Always read the manufacturer’s care instructions to ensure you’re cleaning them correctly. Sheers are delicate, so handle them carefully to avoid tearing.
6. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
For all blinds and window treatments, including roller shades, California shutters, and zebra blinds, avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, as these can cause discoloration and weaken the material. Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners that won’t damage the finish or fabric of your blinds.
7. Rotate and Inspect Your Blinds Regularly
For vertical blinds, periodically rotating the slats and checking for any damage or loose attachments helps maintain their longevity. Similarly, for California shutters and custom blinds, inspect the hinges, handles, and fixtures to ensure they’re in top condition. Tighten any loose screws and replace any broken parts to keep them functioning smoothly.
8. Protect Outdoor Blinds from Extreme Weather
If you have outdoor blinds, particularly in areas like Mississauga, Toronto, and Oakville, where weather can vary dramatically, take steps to protect them. During heavy rain, snow, or extreme heat, retract or cover them when possible. This helps prevent wear and tear from the elements, extending their lifespan.
9. Professional Cleaning for a Fresh Look
For high-quality treatments like custom blinds, drapes, or complex styles like zebra blinds, consider professional cleaning at least once a year. Many window treatment stores offer professional cleaning services to deep clean and maintain more delicate materials, keeping them looking fresh and vibrant.
10. Use a Protective Spray for Fabric Blinds
If your blinds are made from fabric, using a fabric protector spray can help repel dust and stains. This is especially useful for custom blinds and dream shades that are exposed to frequent use. Test the spray on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn’t affect the color or material.
Maintaining your blinds doesn’t have to be a chore. With regular care and a few simple techniques, your window coverings—whether they’re stylish zebra blinds, sturdy California shutters, or modern motorized blinds—can continue to enhance your home’s aesthetic and functionality. I wanna make a book recommendation to Steven Universe fans, and more specifically, fans of Pearl.
Tumblr media
Pearls: A Natural History
By Neil H. Landman, Paula M. Mikkelsen, Rudiger Bieler, and Bennet Bronson.
ISBN 0810944952
There's a ton of interesting info about how pearls are formed, how they're gathered, and their impact on human history and culture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But of special interest is this section, which a headcannon gold mine:
Tumblr media
In case you can't read it, it says:
Caring for Pearls
Historic pearls, such as La Peregrina, are known to be several hundred years old. There are fossil pearls, some dating from 60-70 million years ago, which still retain their luster. Clearly, under the right conditions pearls can last for millennia. However, it is important to recognize the basic principles about their care.
Pearls are much softer than hard gemstones and can be easily scratched. Because they contain organic material and water, pearls can also crack if exposed to excessive dryness. In addition, acids and other chemicals can easily damage pearls
To protect pearls:
Store pearls in a soft cloth sack, separate from metallic necklaces.
Never clean pearls in an ultrasonic cleaner. Vibrations can shatter pearls, especially if the nacre is thin or cracked.
Do not use chemical cleaners, especially those containing ammonia and bleach.
Remove pearls before washing dishes, doing housework, or applying perfume or hair spray.
Do not wear pearls in swimming pools with chlorinated water.
Avoid contact with foods containing acids, e.g., fruit juices and salad dressings.
Expose pearls regularly to humid conditions. If stored in a safe, place a glass of water in the compartment with them.
To keep pearls looking beautiful:
Wipe with a soft cloth after wearing.
Wash occasionally in mild soapy water; contrary to popular belief, the acidic oils and perspiration from human skin can damage the surface of a pearl.
Have pearls restrung periodically (once every two years), especially if worn frequently. Most jewelers use silk thread with knots tied between the pearls to prevent abrasion and ensure that all are not lost if the string is broken.
Pearls that have become damaged or stained can sometimes be restored to their former beauty. Pearl peeling, also known as skinning, consists of removing the outer layers of a pearl to expose fresh unblemished layers. This is very risky because it does not always remove the blemish. However, the chance remains of transforming a damaged pearl into a priceless gem.

More Oli questions! Dude's got me in a chokehold and as unhinged as an ensemble stars fan in the comments section on their wiki!
- Is he big on using/receiving nicknames?
- Since I'm obsessed with Rapeshire(DOL)... What kind of harasser would be Oli? Or would he be like that stranger with exhibitionist notes, but Oli would have different tasks, maybe doing something in front of the camera?
- Does he... Like... Have plushies? Like Grim..?
- Is he big on sharing? Like Darling has finished eating their food, but there are some leftovers. Would Oli jump in to use the same fork/spoon his Darling used to finish up Darling's food?
- Is he superstitious? Witchy stuff? Sacrificing a cookie in the same of Satan and his Darling?
- Is he a talented cook. Actually, is he good at housework/homemaking?
- Oli gets a chance to posses Darling's body for a day. What does he do? Masturbate with the body all day? Lmao. Wouldn't be surprised...
- Would he lie to impress his Darling? How far would the lies go? What's his reaction when he's found out but Darling acts like they knew from the begging because Oli is so pathetic?
- Any unusual/nasty habits?
- Would Oli resort to blackmailing his Darling to get them to date him?
- Is he a greasy man? Or is he pretty neat and hygienic?
- How big is his dick? What about stamina?
- Is there anyone Oli would love to punch in the face without any consequences?
- Oli's reaction to being stalked instead?
- How does Oli feel about excessive eye contact?
Beep beep, here's a question for you:
Why is sandwich meat round when bread is square?
YAY OLI TIME
he looooves nicknames. if you call him a petname of any sort he will instantly melt. and he always calls you stuff like angel/love/darling anything you like. he is a simp
in dol he would be a lot like kylar. always stalking and watching. with a little more confidence he would probably take creepshots and use them to blackmail you. also would be an annoyingly persistent customer of yours at the strip club/brothel. don't ask where he gets all that money from
not to like, babygirlify every single character i come into contact with, but i think oli has a few plushies. especially if you gave him one, he would treasure that. but he has a few that he snuggles with (he sprayed them with your perfume/cologne and put some clothes of yours he stole on them)
ohhh yeah he shares food with you. he would DIE for the chance to put his mouth on the same utensils as you. he also would eagerly offer you his food if you finished yours and were still hungry.
oli considers himself something of a realist but he is entirely wrong about that. mf has little self-awareness. superstitions make him anxious so even though he says he doesn't believe in them he avoids things like walking under ladders and such.
he wishes he was a good cook. he wants to be your perfect househusband. unfortunately he is a cringefail babygirl in everything he does so he fuckign burns water and tries to keep a clean house but accidentally mixes bleach and ammonia. siiigh but he tries though
okay. of course if he possessed his darling for a day he would masturbate just to know what it was like for you. he would stare in the mirror for so long memorizing every inch of your body up close and also take a lot of photos for his personal folder when he returns to his own body.he would do so many weird things...lick your body...
yeah, he would lie. he wants his darling to be impressed by him but there's really not much to be impressed by. he would lie as much as he could and would probably cry if darling found out. but he is sooo pathetic that it's actually kinda cute. like okay you little worm you just wanted to seem cool. i forgive you
*inhales deeply* nasty habits you say? other than his nightly routine of watching you via your webcam?? yes. absolutely. he has occasionally broken into your house and taken a few random things that he does weird stuff with. collects everything from used napkins and straws to bits of your hair. he's just a fucking creep. he's gross.
i think, if there was a chance for oli to gain more confidence, he certainly would blackmail his darling to go out with him. or maybe not confidence, just desperation lol. but he knows pretty much everything about you, and hacks into your computer all the time, so he could easily figure something out to blackmail with.
surprisingly, he's pretty hygienic. he's shit at taking care of his house but he likes himself to be tidy and smell good. he's already so fucking weird and everyone KNOWS that he's so fuckign weird that he doesn't want to give anyone more ammo. so he keeps himself neatly groomed. aren't you impressed by him?
oh baby been WAITING for someone to ask about this freak's dick. i think it isn't MASSIVE or anything but it is girthy as hell. and because he's a total loser virgin, he has pretty good stamina from all the jerking off he does. he can control his orgasms fairly easily. the first few times you have sex, he will cum very quickly because he's just so happy! but he's ready for another round just as fast.
of course. he would love to punch anyone who hurt you in the face. also, his coworkers. they're jerks.
he would be sosososo happy if you stalked him. like that would be his dream. you like him that much?? how special!! he has a very strange view of love...
it depends on the context. excessive eye contact with anyone else? weird. cringe. get it away from him. you staring him deeply in the eyes? most romantic thing he's ever experienced. he will never look away
why the fuck IS sandwich meat round. well. i guess like. salami and bologna are round right? but not all lunch meat is. like stuff you get from the deli sometimes. well i guess salami is round because it's like a sausage right? why am i taking this question so seriously???

Hello!
Is there fun facts about your oc Marjorie? She's quite a lovely lady!
I love your artsyle and have a good day/Night!
Ooh an unexpected question! I LOVE ANSWERING QUESTIONS
Fun facts about Marjorie, uh? Well of COURSE I have some about her, a whole yet to be spoken lore about her twirls inside my otherwise air-filled head literally all day (Whatever God above please save me).
And now I've got the pretest to dump some random facts about her!-
Most of the time she smells like bleach. Or ammonia. Or soap in general. Because she spends pretty much all day cleaning, both for her day job as one of the Maribel's maids, and also cleaning other sorts of stains at night for the Marigold. Most people find it unpleasant, but the ones who work with her are long used to it; Mordecai in particular actively likes it even, because his hypochondriac ass immediately associates it with cleanliness and hygiene.
Marjorie is half-Italian. To be specific, from mother's side of the family. She lived in Italy with her mother and father and brother (yes she has an older brother, another fun fact, his name is Malcom) for the first years of her life, but then they started incessantly travelling all across Europe due to her mother's job - for the record, and this is another fun fact, her mother's an opera singer. Her mother's career is what influenced Marjorie herself towards theater and down her path to ballerina-hood... alas thanks to the Great War the dream collapsed, sad story.
The flowers I associate with Marjorie (and, SPOILER!, the ones which will appear in the standee I've been busy designing the last few days) are black dahlias. Yes, due to their generally negative symbolism of dishonesty and betrayal. Yes, MaRjorie sure is quite a lovely lady in mien, but... as stated in her little biography, she's also "as sweet as Judah's kiss, and just as ambitious". She's always smiling almost in any drawing of hers I've made, but if you pay attention you'll notice her smile never reaches both eyes - the smile of a politician, that just as easily lies, just as easily tells the truth or lies by omission. She looks like a doll, but she's the one pulling the threads.
To continue on this line, when she was a professional ballerina - which was the period of her life between her 16 and 21 years - she used to actively cut and destroy her competitors' pointy shoes. Like, tearing them to shreds. Because a ballerina must sew the ribbons of her own shoes, so that their particular shape of feet fits perfectly. So if you take a ballerina's shoes away from her, she will have to lose precious time sewing another pair, and you'll be ahead of her in training. Let alone if you destroy her shoes just before a competition: then you'll have eliminated a rival before they even become one.
Yeah, maybe this one wasn't much of a fun fact but more like Marjorie just being a clever piece of shit. Anyways!
This is part of the reason why her weapon of choice to this day is a pair of scissors - to her, it holds an almost emotional value close to her heart... in a twisted way. Also, they're easier to conceal in a skirt and even if spotted it's easier to play them off as innocent and not sus at all, especially with the manual line of legal job Marjorie finds herself in.
But when she must go for a gun, then Marjorie goes for a Luger P08 without further questioning.
For the record, Marjorie has never voted. You know, in a political context. Nor will she ever. Why? Because Marjorie stands for anarchy. What else'd you expect from someone who gets along so well with the uncontrollable, unstoppable Savoys? She's not a follower, she's not a leader, she just want to do what she wants and not be bothered (the petty hedonism makes itself be heard here), and for all she cares everyone else may do the same.
Mordecai harbors some reservations about this particular way of thinking of Marjorie's.
Okay, I've written quite a lot, more than I expected to do. I don't even know is someone will bother at all to read all that lol. I won't hold it against you if you don't. It is quite evident I really spend literally all my current existence thinking about this lady and her alone. Send help.

Hey just letting you know that it costs less than $100 to make a pipe bomb if you own or can borrow a welder and you can find most of it in a hardware store, besides maybe the propellant/fuel
All you really need is
> a sturdy closable metal container about the size of a jar
>black powder/gunpowder/high explosive
>a fuse or blasting cap
> nails, screws, nuts, bolts, assorted metal bits (optional)
BONUS
How to make Thermite (can melt basically anything)
>mix together iron powder and rust
> add gasoline or other fuel
> put mixture on a metal object
> light on fire
Cheaper and easier way to eliminate political or social rivals: lock/block their doors and light ablaze
How to make Molotov Cocktail
>put flammable material (gasoline, high proof alcohol) in a glass bottle, beer bottle sized
>Put cloth in bottle opening (any will work)
>light cloth on fire and throw
For large gatherings of people (especially useful in June in major liberal majority cities)
>mix lots of bleach with lots of ammonia and dump onto target
or
> Napalm
> I do not know how to make napalm
I ain’t reading all that😎💪

Pumice Stone : Information, Benefits, Use
Most people these days go to the bathroom as soon as they wake up to freshen up. However, if your bathroom isn’t clean, your life isn’t clean either. As they say, “fresh bathrooms means fresh mornings.
But it’s not as simple as we might imagine to clean a bathroom. The majority of individuals make mistakes when cleaning their bathrooms, such as not using the right cleaning cloth, starting from the wrong area, scrubbing too hard, or using dangerous chemicals.
Tumblr media
1. Using powerful chemicals or an excessive amount of bleach
We don’t read the labels of the poisonous and chemical-laden cleaning products we use because they are packed with harsh chemicals like phosphates, ammonia, and bleach that can be harmful to our health if we are exposed to them.
These substances have the potential to irritate respiratory system, skin, and eyes — especially in those with allergies or sensitivities. Long-term use will have negative consequences on health and indoor pollution. Impede the well-being of your kids and family.
Prevent any negative effects from this. Introducing Dwella Pumice Stone, a chemical-free cleaning solution. Without the need for extra chemicals, its abrasive texture effectively eliminates stains, hard water deposits, and soap scum, lowering the possibility that hazardous residues may remain on surfaces. Protect your skin, interior air quality, and keeps you safe from allergies and respiratory and ocular irritation. It also uses less water, which is better for the environment.
2. Ignoring to maintain hidden places
Cleaning frequently overlooks unseen places such under the sink, behind the toilet, and around fixtures. Finally, because these spaces are not adequately cleaned and maintained, a variety of illnesses and health-related problems arise.
Cockroaches and viruses live in unclean locations. We must constantly clean those areas to protect our health from these kinds of germs and viruses, but sometimes hazardous liquids and powders are ineffective at doing so, and sometimes scrubbing with a brush is just not practical.
Another frequently disregarded area that needs attention is tile grout. routine upkeep. It’s common knowledge that the grout lines between tiles collect debris, moisture, and soap scum, which can result in discoloration and the development of mold and mildew.
Even though they are little, these obscure spots need care to keep bathroom surfaces looking nice and clean. The spaces around bathroom fixtures like towel racks, showerheads, and faucets are additional hidden spots. Particularly in difficult-to-reach areas, these tiny joints and fissures are prone to accumulating dirt and grime.
However, Dwella Pumice Stones execute this task efficiently by eliminating 100% of bacteria and thoroughly cleaning those hard-to-reach areas. Because it is a 100% natural product to clean bathroom sinks, hard water deposits, and soap scum, it is also safe for the environment and human health. Is it worthwhile to tidy your house with environmentally friendly goods.
3. Ignoring to clean bath mats and shower curtains
Bath mats and shower curtains getting dirty is a common mistake that can erode your bathroom’s hygienic standards. If left uncleaned, shower curtains and bath mats become perfect breeding grounds for bacteria, mold, and mildew since they are constantly exposed to moisture, soap scum, body oils, and other residues.
Shower curtains, whether they are made of plastic or cloth, are especially vulnerable to the formation of mold and mildew because of their continual exposure to moisture and humidity. Mold and mildew can grow on a curtain’s surface over time, causing unattractive stains, discolouration, and foul smells. Moreover, body oils, shampoo residues, and soap suds might stick to the curtain’s surface reducing its neatness and aesthetic attractiveness even more.
Similar to this, bath mats create a warm, humid atmosphere that is perfect for the growth of bacteria, particularly in places where moisture collects beneath the mat. Daily use can cause dirt, hair, and debris to build up on the mat’s surface, leaving it dirty and ugly if not cleaned.
The damp and unclean environment can be a breeding ground for bacteria, fungi, and other diseases that can seriously harm people’s health, especially those with weakened immune systems.
To maintain a clean and hygienic bathroom environment, it is imperative to regularly clean bath mats and shower curtains to get rid of dirt, stains, and microbiological contaminants.
Shower curtains made of fabric can usually be cleaned in a washing machine using warm water and detergent, while curtains made of plastic can be cleaned with a moderate cleaning solution or a vinegar and water combo. After shaking out or vacuuming bath mats to get rid of any loose dirt, wash them by hand or by following the manufacturer’s directions for laundry.
Although conventional cleaning techniques can be successful, the Dwella Pumice Stone is an excellent substitute that is non-toxic, mild, and adaptable, offering a productive way to maintain these products fresh and clean.
4. Do Not Turn on Your Exhaust Fan
It’s a typical mistake that can seriously harm your bathroom’s structural integrity and cleanliness: refusing to use the exhaust fan in your bathroom.
By removing extra moisture, smells, and airborne particles from the bathroom, the exhaust fan plays a critical function in ventilation by preventing the growth of mold, mildew, and microorganisms. But a lot of people don’t use this easy-to-use but powerful tool, which causes a lot of problems.
In addition, inadequate ventilation can result in the accumulation of disagreeable smells in the restroom and the dispersal of airborne particles like bacteria and dust. The restroom may feel stifling and unwelcoming due to the lingering scents and particulates in the air. Due to extended exposure to moisture, deteriorating bathroom fixtures and finishes — such as peeling paint, warped wood, and corroded metal — may also be caused by inadequate ventilation.
The exhaust fan in your bathroom needs to be used properly in order to prevent these problems. Turn it on to assist remove extra moisture from the air before and during baths or showers. Permit After taking a bath, leave the fan running for at least 15 to 20 minutes to provide adequate ventilation.
To further ensure reliable and effective performance, think about adding a humidity sensor or timer switch to automate the exhaust fan’s operation. You may reduce moisture-related issues, keep your bathroom clean and healthy, and extend the life of your bathroom fixtures and finishes by including appropriate ventilation techniques into your daily routine.
5. Selecting incorrect merchandise
Making the incorrect cleaning product choices for your bathroom can have a negative influence on the environment and cleanliness. In addition to posing health concerns to you and your family, many conventional cleaners contain harsh chemicals and pollutants that worsen the environment and cause pollution.
The Dwella Pumice Stone, on the other hand, provides a natural, chemical-free substitute. That minimizes harm to the environment and human health while efficiently cleaning surfaces.
Selecting harsh chemical cleaners can have a number of unfavorable effects. First of all, a lot of these cleansers include chemicals like bleach, ammonia, and phosphates that, when inhaled, can irritate the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.
Long-term exposure to these substances might worsen respiratory ailments and allergies, especially in people with weakened immune systems or sensitivities. Furthermore, these cleaners’ emissions have the ability to remain in the air, causing indoor air pollution and possibly long-term health problems for those who live in the home.
In addition, conventional cleaning product production and disposal contribute to pollution and environmental damage. When these items are manufactured and used, they emit harmful pollutants since they are made of synthetic compounds sourced from fossil fuels. Furthermore, These cleansers pose a threat to aquatic life and biodiversity because they can pollute soil, streams, and ecosystems when they are flushed down the drain.
As an alternative, the Dwella Pumice Stone provides a more environmentally friendly and secure cleaning option for your bathroom. Because it is made of naturally occurring volcanic rock, the pumice stone is safe to use around children, pets, and those with sensitive skin because it contains no chemicals and is non-toxic.
Without the need for extra chemicals, its abrasive texture effectively eliminates stubborn stains, soap scum, and mineral deposits from surfaces, lowering the possibility of hazardous residues and environmental damage.
Furthermore, compared to traditional cleaners, the Dwella Pumice Stone’s manufacture and disposal have less of an adverse effect on the environment. Pumice stone is a naturally occurring resource that comes from volcanic rock and is biodegradable .i.e., it decomposes organically over time without producing any hazardous by products or contaminants.
Selecting the Dwella Pumice Stone instead of abrasive chemical cleansers will help you lessen your environmental impact and leave a better earth for coming generations.
