Do any of the characters have a favorite specific animal? Or is it a criteria of traits they like? Do animals like them aswell?
Since I think most people at least have an animal that falls onto their "pretty neat" radar, I'd say the characters would fall into the same trappings! Just some more than others, sure. Maia likes dogs a *lot*, hence quickly approaching the fox in the courtyard before realizing her mistake, and her muttering statement to Gwennebat about Reasons Why Aetherial Orienteering is Neat Actually. ... Animals don't seem to gravitate towards her though. Probably sensing her overall distrust, and well, in the span of about two minutes she landed on one and tried to give it a shiner with a brownie. That one did warm up to her a little (at least, enough to sit down and Enjoy The Free Food), but she's no Disney Princess. Audric would be polite and say finches are his favorite... *if* the ears that matter are listening. If they aren't, he'd admit (it's secretly gryphons.). Between his aetherial aura and his manifest eyes, though, he tends to startle animals.
Pre-veil Lyra would list Magpies as her favorite. They remained a strong contender, but the outveil did not have Chappybaras, which are sort of these tiny six legged Capybaras that look like they got lost on the Potato Bug production line. She's pretty fond of all animals though, and was even out catching critters when she stumbled upon the veil gate. Animals tend to like her in turn, though she can come on a bit strong. Still no disney princess. Audun probably hasn't thought about it in terms of a favorite animal, but he does have a fondness for Elder Elk, not for any real reason beyond having gotten lucky enough to see some grazing when he was young. They're incredibly rare, and often only visible in a spectral form. Animals don't seem to care one way or the other if he's there, but his aetherial aura is a bit opposite Audric's, so it might have enough of a calming effect that they don't run so long as he doesn't startle them, himself. Elias.... yes. His favorite animal(s) all share the same disposition, and he keeps a stoat--an aberrant *and* a weasel, of all things--as a pet for that very reason. Any "certified trash animal" is one he likes. Tends to favor classic woodland creatures that are commonly thought of as pests/vermin, but all are good. Magic, non-magic, living, not-living. It'd be easier to ask what he doesn't like. As for whether or not they like him... I mean. Just look at the boy. He's got a whole critter practically living on him!
#solivaga#asks#enjoying the mental image of Audun just standing stark still with his whole uniform on and mask manifested#looking like the grim reaper#refusing to move a muscle#bc some critter has crossed his path out in the middle of the woods#meanwhile audric yawns and causes the stampede that killed mufasa#so he'll always say finches-esp a little frost finch - are his favorites since maple must know he loves her#soli asks

I love what they did for Books 6 & 7 writing-wise, I think it was really good at raising the stakes and letting us get to know other characters better (tbh, I wish the first 5 had been more like it lol).
That said...I really miss Adeuce and hope Book 8 brings them back to us 😭
#i think it's actually super smart writing wise to take them away for 6 & 7 (and 4 to an extent)#bc it takes away the reader's sense of security by sidelining the characters we've been with since the beginning that were always there#+ they probably realized that trying to shove them in would make things more convoluted and may bring down the quality#im 99% sure that adeuce (esp ace since he doesn't have his um yet) will play a big part in what's next since it'll be grim-focused#and i'm very excited!!! in the meantime i will continue crying over book 7 lol#twisted wonderland#twst#ace trapolla#deuce spade

claudia’s mic drop of all time
Season 2 trial prediction/speculation
Claudia's diary entry (from Merrick) being read out loud on stage and used to judge her.
(That would put a very interesting spin on it all, and we know from episode 4 that one diary was in Paris.)
"It has been so many decades since Louis presented me with this little book in which I might record my private thoughts. I have not been successful, having made only a few entries, and whether these have been written for my benefit I am unsure. Tonight, I confide with pen and paper because I know which direction my hatred will take me. And I fear for those who have aroused my wrath. By those I mean, of course, my evil parents, my splendid fathers, those who have led me from a long forgotten mortality into this questionable state of timeless 'bliss.' To do away with Louis would be foolish, as he is without question the more malleable of the pair. [...] Louis will do as I wish, even unto the very destruction of Lestat, which I plan in every detail. Whereas Lestat would never cooperate with my designs upon Louis. So there my loyalty lies, under the guise of love even in my own heart. What mysteries we are, human, vampire, monster, mortal, that we can love and hate simultaneously, and that emotions of all sorts might not parade for what they are not. I look at Louis and I despise him totally for the making of me, and yet I do love him. But then I love Lestat every bit as well. Perhaps in the court of my heart, I hold Louis far more accountable for my present state than ever I could blame my impulsive and simple Lestat. The fact is, one must die for this or the pain in me will never be scaled off, and immortality is but a monstrous measurement of what I shall suffer till the world revolves to its ultimate end. One must die so that the other will become ever more dependent upon me, ever more completely my slave. I would travel the world afterwards; I would have my way; I cannot endure either one of them unless that one becomes my servant in thought, word, and deed. Such a fate is simply unthinkable with Lestat's ungovernable and irascible character. Such a fate seems made for my melancholy Louis, though the destroying of Lestat will open new passages for Louis into the labyrinthian Hell in which I already wander with every new thought that comes in my mind. When I shall strike and how, I know not, only that it gives me supreme delight to watch Lestat in his unguarded gaiety, knowing that I shall humiliate him utterly in destroying him, and in so doing bring down the lofty useless conscience of my Louis, so that his soul, if not his body, is the same size at last as my own."
I WANT IT
#oh louis#you’ve got a big storm comin#good times at rue royale#can’t fault her (esp given book!claudia’s physical appearance)#it would be fascinating if amc went this sinister for claudia#made her that much of a strategist#if i had to bet i’d guess amc wouldn’t go this dark given how risky it is#since they have so few female characters...to make her such a villain...and she’s getting killed off so it's grim to go out on this note#but honestly would kinda love claudia taking a direction of this much power and fuck-you revenge#iwtv#murder family

Hunter saying "would they tie us up!? throw rocks at us!?" at the thought of their friends learning he is a grim and that Luz 'helped' Belos, is just so sad and devastating,,,
He's never known proper friendship before Flap, but it hasn't been long since the bird came into his life. Those bad habits, those thoughts that even the ppl who are supposed to be his friends and family, have any right to hurt him? Are still there. He's not kidding at all or exaggerating, he fully believes the option of being stoned is there.
Eventho this is cut dialogue, its not the first time Hunter has said sth that concerning cause Any Sport and Eclipse Lake are full of it. Revealing even more how dangerous was the environment he grew up in and what kind of threats might've been used against him, esp by Belos. Or what kind of things he might have witnessed.

IWTV S2 Musings - Tentative Timeline (Pt1: 1940 - 1948)
I've been struggling with this for a while, cuz this ish just don't make sense, AMC. (I fully expect S3 to gotcha/retcon/fix stuff, esp. since who knows what Armand's tinkered around with in Louis' head.) I split this timeline in 2 parts: Pt1 has everything from 2x1 - 2x6ish; and then ofc Pt2 will cover as much as I can understand from the Trial's shenanigans.
(I'm just one person tryna figure out wtf is going on, so if y'all have any insights, please share!)
1940 - 1945
Claudia & Louis cross Eastern Europe (2x1)
pre-February 6, 1940: Mardi Gras, NOLA.
1x7 diary entry (x x): "Dear Diary, I've been planning the trip out in my head. When we get to Europe, we aren't going to look at any of the touristy sights. We are instead going straight to the Black Sea and then on to the Carpathian Mountains. Those are the places I've been reading about in the books I've brought with me. We had to learn so much…." (Carpathian countries inc. Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, and Ukraine.)
Roget (2x2): "We have not heard from Monsieur de Lioncourt since February 1940, when we processed several wires for him, for a party he was throwing."
September 8, 1941: 1x4 diary entry, Ploiesti, Romania: "The POWs are malnourished, nothing but bone and sinew. Their blood is bitter. It almost makes you feel sick to drink it. Catch 'em as they trudge from their work in the oil fields every night. They don't have much strength to fight..." (Ploiesti bombed for its oil from 1941-1944.)
1944: Madeleine's head is shaved during Paris' épuration légale along with the other Nazi collaborators. (An IRL photo from June 21, 1944.) France's Nazi occupied Vichy regime: July 10, 1940 - August 9, 1944. [see De Gaulle below]
Pre-1945: Cross from Ukraine into Nazi Romania (again). Claudia is speaking German to the Nazi at the checkpoint, who says "Black Ukranian? Waffen-SS, Checkpoint 30317."
DREAMSTAT: "Four years of grim wayfaring, and still no sight of the benevolent vampire."
April 30, 1945: "In Germany, Herr Hitler had popped a pill in his bunker, and Europe celebrated."
1944 / 1945: "But in Romania, the champagne fizzled and went flat. Soviets replaced Nazis.... War became occupation." (Soviet occupation of Romania lasted from 1944 - 1958.) Stopped by the racist Soviets in Emilia's town.
Post-April 30, 1945: 2x1 radio announcement: "The triumph over Hitler's evil can be felt throughout France, and in no more fantastic an example than the priceless works of art being bundled up in the countryside, lifted on to trucks and returned to their rightful place in Paris. And we of the BBC World Service, speaking for the rest of the western world, send a most grateful thank you to our allies in France with one of your very own. ['Y'a Pas D'Printemps' by Edith Piaf plays]."
1944 / 1945: "There is No Spring” by Edith Piaf is recorded July 4, 1944.
Late June, 1945: Louis & Claudia leave Romania (after Emilia & Daciana died); near the 1-year anniversary of There is No Spring; right before Venus de Milo was about to head to Paris along with the rest of the "priceless works of art being bundled up."
July 2, 1945: Venus de Milo officially returns to the Louvre. Louis & Claudia arrived in Paris with it. (August 1945: Louvre reopened.) "Claudia was entirely broken. She had left a part of herself in Romania. I knew I had to steer her far away from it. I chose the city that called to us on the radio. To the mother of New Orleans.... The war had turned off the lights, stripped its streets of their beauty, sent its avant-garde into exile. But now, the whole world was ready to return, to remake their lives. Pilgrims on their hopeful way."
1945
Claudia & Louis in Post-War Paris (2x2)
1944 - 1946: Charles De Gaulle chairs the Provisional Government of the French Republic June 3, 1944 - January 26, 1946. "De Gaulle's Paris had me etherized. If Claudia and I were looking over our shoulder at all, it was in astonishment our skin did not attract the same attention it did in America."
May 8, 1945: France's Sétif and Guelma Massacre of Algierian citizens (Franco-Algerian relations evaporated). DANIEL: "Right, because there wasn't any racism in mid-20th century France. I think your Algerian inferiors of the time might disagree." LOUIS: "But I wasn't an Algerian. I was an American, and if there was an assumption that I'd arrived to blow a trumpet or sing for my supper, it did not register as a slight in those days. I was just grateful knowing no one wanted to lynch me, or direct me to the far end of the café counter!"
1944 - 1949: Black markets & rationing chokehold over Paris.
LOUIS: "We hid ourselves away in an inconspicuous apartment in Le Neuvieme, passing ourselves off as moneyed Americans, over-spending for black market baguettes. It was the perfect cover."
ARMAND: "The estate of the family De LaCroix. Whilst their countrymen clutch ration cards, they've made quite a killing manipulating the black markets."
1945 - 1950: Paris' economy impoverished. "No salt, no butter. Can't have milk unless you got a newborn. And read here, 'Hospitals running low on Plaster-of-Paris for a record number of broken bones due to decalcification and undernourishment.' You want francs in pockets? These people are broke! I saw a woman tonight in a patchy five-year-old dress putting on a brand new lipstick.... Paris is on her way back. Give her a little time, is all."
LOUIS: "Five months of anxiety-producing choices, and not one 'bonjour,' or 'prépare-toi à mourir'?!"
ARMAND: "Five months removed from their velvet-heeled arrival, the Americans were finally coming to Pigalle."
SANTIAGO: "Five months of nights. Five insolent months of nights, waiting for you to humble us with your appearance. I ask you, Maitre, was it worth the wait?"
November 1945: Armand confronts Louis; invites Louis & Claudia to the Theatre des Vampires. (June to November is 5 months.) (ARMAND: "I had lost patience. I was convinced we were being toyed with and I could hold back the coven only so long. I knew the park well myself, knew what went on in the rambles there, so I was not surprised to find him without the girl. I would confront the elder, and make him aware of the ways rogue vampires were dealt with in Paris.")
LOUIS: Armand knows all about Lestat. CLAUDIA: How long's he known?! LOUIS: The whole time. Read our minds, first night at the theater.
November 14, 1945: 1x4 diary entry: "We've arrived in Paris, what a relief! My whole dead self feels revitalized head to toe. We might be outsiders to both human and Parisian life, but I do appreciate both now with such fervor! Granted, I've never hated my body [more]...." This also matches with Claudia meeting Madeleine and wanting clothes tailored to her size. And also with Louis remarking that it was only at the Theatre that "Claudia absolutely loved them. And it was the first time in Paris I had seen a smile or a laugh come out of her that wasn't for my benefit." By mid-November, Claudia's unhappy mood had vastly improved.
mid-December 1945: The coven hunt at Chateau de la Croix. "Claudia had attended a month of performances and the coven felt she had proven herself sincere." (Mid-December means this was likely a Christmas party the coven crashed! 😂🤣) Armand warns Louis to stop visiting Roget, and stop lying to the coven about Lestat/"Bruce."
1946
Claudia's coven initiation period; Loumand's courtship
Spring 1946:
Estelle sneezes during No Pain: "It's hay season!" This makes no effing sense for vampires to have allergies, but whatever, it was funny.
Louis keeps cruising gay parks. "There was a park I'd heard about. I would go to this park often. I was an armored thing that spring, someone steady on his feet, but… With a history of chasing the wrong kind of love." It is impossible for Louis to mean Spring of 1945, cuz that's when Hitler died, and that's before Venus de Milo arrived in Paris. This also makes no sense, if we accept that Armand met Louis in Nov. 1945, five months after their arrival.
Loumand starts courting. (LOUIS: "I walk a new part of the city every night. I try to get lost. Somehow I always end up back by the river [Seine]." ARMAND: "I started spending less time at the theater and more nights strolling the boulevards with Louis.")
Claudia is initiated in the coven; she doesn't sleep in the apartment anymore. (2x4, "What the f**k's gone on without me here?!")
Spring - Summer 1946: Baby LouLou starts performing [See Sept. '47 below.]
1946: Jean-Paul Sartre: "Evil is the product of the ability of humans to make abstract what is concrete," (2x3). A wildly popular quote, which no one ever cites. I can only assume it's an English translation of something Sartre originally said in French. All I could find that came remotely close is his Oct 1945 - Dec 1946 speech(es) L'existentialisme est un humanisme: "If values are uncertain, if they are still too abstract to determine the particular, concrete case under consideration, nothing remains but to trust in our instincts." IDFK, I'm not into all that confusing philosophical blahblah.
1946 - 1949: Loumand's sexcapades, Louis' photography. (RASHID: "The Paris Albums, 1946-1949." LOUIS: "Those were our young friends. Humans. Guys." ARMAND: "Some are very old now, most are dead. And some we simply drained for sport. Well… generally me! Louis has his ways.")
1947
Spring - Summer 1947: Louis starts art dealing.
LOUIS: I bought a Fougeron from you early in the year. I was a little short of asking, so I threw in that watch I was wearing. ALOIS: Ah, yes, yes, a good watch. Where did you hang the Fougeron? LOUIS: Over my bed all spring. Then I sold it to Germain Seligman in summer.
Fall 1947: Claudia's sick & tired of Baby LouLou
LOUIS: "By the 500th performance, Claudia was beyond bored."
ARMAND: "So explain to the company why the 500th performance of 'My Baby Loves Windows' felt more like a slog than a celebration?"
500 nights = 16 months, or 1.3 years, assuming Claudia did 1 performance every single night. In 2x4 Armand said: "Fifteen minutes a night to pretend."
CELESTE: Maitre might not have noticed as he has been nomadically attending the Theatre Des Vampires. SANTIAGO: And the infection spread what, year and a half ago? CELESTE: When a certain vampire was granted dispensation from coven membership.
September 1947: Boris Vian/Vernon Sullivan's Les morts ont tous la meme peau published. If we take Louis reading Vian's book the month it came out, in September, and 16 months of Baby LouLou performances, Claudia would've had to have started performing around June/Summer of 1946, give/take a few months, depending on when Louis got the book, and how regularly Claudia performed.
Fall 1947: Louis discusses R-26, where he's been visiting in 2x4.
ALOIS: So, you've been showing your work at the Perriers' salon? LOUIS: Always something interesting happening there. ALOIS: Maybe before the war more than now. But then I'm rarely out of my gallery.
Late 1947 - Early 1948
(There's A LOT that happens from 2x4 - 2x6 that I'm really unsure of. The ONLY diehard dates I have are for Louis' Wols painting, and Sam's Godot play. So I have to assume everything below happens within that timeframe.)
Celeste, Estelle & Santiago investigate Lestat at Roget's.
Armand lies about the Maitre coup: "In retrospect, the buffoon was in the audience, oblivious to the conspiracy uniting around him."
Madeleine almost gang-raped; Claudia reveals her vampirism
Claudia's final diary entry "Diaries are friends of last resort. I have found one not made of paper and glue. F**k these vampires."
Louis buys the Wols / Let's Go Sunning plays on the radio(?)
Louis meets Madeleine; Armand meets Madeleine
Sam's Godot play
Late 1947 - Early 1948: Santiago's Maitre coup starts; steals Claudia's diaries. Louis dumps DreamStat; Loumand's Arun/Maitre roleplay starts. (Because of the rain & lack of snow, I wonder if this is Fall 1987 / Spring 1948?)
Late 1947 - Early 1948: Sam starts writing several scripts:
Whatever play Santiago was rehearsing for, in 2x6's title "Like the light by which God made the world, before He made light." Meanwhile, the coven is passing around Claudia's diaries.
Waiting for Godot
The Trial script(?)
Late 1947 - Early 1948: Celeste, Estelle & Santiago investigate Lestat at Roget's.
Late 1947 - Early 1948: Louis buys a Wols (Alfred Otto Wolfgang Schulze), It's All Over The City (1947).
(Question: Is Jack Shaindlin's Let's Go Sunning (which plays as Santiago eavesdrops on Loumand banging) anachronistic, or does AMC know something I don't--more than likely--cuz Google keeps telling me it was first used in 1954 in the film Garden of Eden?)
Late 1947 - Early 1948: Louis meets Madeleine; Armand meets Madeleine (the same night, since they're all in the same clothes).
1948
HUGE timeskip. The ONLY definite timeframe I have is Godot.
October 9 1948 - January 29 1949: Waiting for Godot, by The Vampire Samuel Barclay / IRL Samuel Barclay Beckett.
Right after this scene, they cut to Dubai!Louis describing IRL events from 1949. So I'm cutting this post off here, to put all of that in context wrt the Trial, that also happened in 1949.

DMC Questions Anon here!
What sort of things would the DMC characters be into? What would their favorite medias be, who would their favorite characters be, their favorite dynamics, their favorite ships? Favorite things about it? Would they try and have any involvement in the fandom space online? If so, what sort of involvement?
Dante is a huge fan of videogames. He's played a variety of games since he could but these days, he leans toward action and fighting games. And hack and slash! God of War would be one of his faves and he approves of Kratos's character development unlike some other fans. If he had the time, he would argue with fans about it. But he most likely doesn't, he sees enough toxicity as it is. He consumes other pieces of media (books and movies) on occasion but videogames are his passion hobby. He likes every character.
Trish also loves videogames when Dante introduced her to them. She likes the stuff Dante "grew out of" like the more adventure fantasy. And she would love RPGs, especially Final Fantasy. And Baldur's Gate 3. Tifa Lockheart is one of her favorite characters.
Vergil is a bookworm for sure. He already loves poetry but if he would have gotten into fantasy, especially high fantasy like Tolkien. He actually read The Hobbit, and the songs and whimsical vibes really appealed to him. But Mundus attacked before he could get to LotR and The Silmarillion. He can still get into them after DMC5. He's not usually fond of movie but he would watch the LotR movies and fall in love immediately. He wouldn't admit to it though. I also think he likes GRRM's A Song of Ice and Fire a lot. The whole political aspect of it and the grimness would appeal to him. He would personally hunt GRRM to learn the true ending. Vergil would hate the HBO adaptations. His fave character would be Daenerys obviously. From LotR, he would love Aragorn the best.
Post-DMC5 Vergil would get into a lot of heated debates in fandom esp the ASOIAF side. So his fandom access is permanently revoked by the family for his own and their sanity.
Trish gets him to play videogames but Vergil only likes Baldur's Gate lol.
Lady used to watch anime before but at some point grew out of it. She loved Bleach and Revolutionary Girl Utena. Her favorite characters was Utena. She watched WWE for a while as an adult but grew out of that too. She's a huge sports fan in general and follows the sports news as vigorously as she can. Sometimes, she plays videogames with Dante and Trish. She slowly gets to like them.
Nero is a comic book nerd, like very into DC and Marvel. The access to such entertainment was banned in Fortuna but after getting out, it was like a dam broke and he's addicted to them now. Batman and the adjacent characters are his faves. He gets into shipping discourse a lot.

Not to go full “not like the other girls,” but I feel like some tomgreg shippers really hate their dynamic this season because they expected something more overtly queer and that simply was never gonna happen in a show like this; none of these characters are ever fully honest with themselves, especially with sexuality.
Tom and Greg still far more devoted and supportive than most relationships in Succession, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that they’re torn apart by forces entirely out of their control.
What’s that called again? Oh— tragedy.
girlies being like 'oh tomgreg is finished now. greg is looking for an in with everybody bcs he is going to leave tom for dead'...
like the first thing greg did after biking through half of new york city wasn't asking roman to introduce him to mencken so he could sing him the tom song asap. and like his last scene this episode wasn't him doing exactly that - pushing the tom agenda even when he isn't there and has no means of check if greg did what he was asked.
tomgreg is alive and well, chill.
#i get why other ppl think tomgreg shippers are annoying lmao#like i thought it was gonna be explicitly gay but this is far more interesting imo#also they don’t need to be the focus of the wholeass show lmao it’s still ultimately an interesting B plot#idk there was a little queerbaiting by the media but imo it hasn’t ruined the show for me#esp since they’re dynamic is still interesting and very passionate#i have a lot of Opinions ™️#succ#succession#tomgreg#tom wambsgams#greg hirsch#tomshiv on the other hand………. jfc they’re far worse than anyone could imagine holy fck#tomshiv endgame looking grim ://

🆃🅷🅴 🆆🅸⨢.🅲🅷🅸🅽🅶 🅷△🆄🆁.
>>> the grim adventures of jon n' jack. feat batman n' spiderman. <<<
...
it was only a matter of time, before i would have made another crossover with those two. i can't deny, that they are very 1:1 for me, when it comes to comics supervillains. so why not to mix one awesome n' beloved thing with another? esp since funny enough, they do have quite a few similar plot-points. well, the halloween themed costume aside. i mean it goes as far as jack once having the bat-themed boyfriend pal, which reminds me of someone else, i know.
anyho'...
i've tried to make my notes more or less readable here, but they still might be a bit scattered. i attempted to keep them as short as possible, but i just cannot talk 'small'.
1. the first art is low-key based on underdeveloped AU, that i have about the early comic scarecrow n' modern jack meeting n' hitting it off serial killiar style. considering, that both of them possess killing methods, which have a noticable tradmark to it, i imagine that they will leave one hell of a mess behind, while traveling across the country. in that timeline, batman is dead. n' jack's shitty foster dad was killed off earlier on. neither of them knows what to do with themselves, since the people who they had *twisted* emotional conection with are gone. without any direction, they meet in the middle, n' decide that they can as well team-up n' try to make being a villain fun again. jon might experiment on their victims *or torture them if its his ex bullies* n' then give them to jack, who would scoop their brains out and put candle inside their skull. n' uh yeah, he literally did it in the comic. i was honestly surpised that marvel come up with smth that creepy. it really sounds more alined with dc, if anything. but either way, here they are. two *grieving* psychos going downtown. they will make one another so much worse, i imagine. n' they will totally kill that npc dude btw.
2. dark magic n' the drip. or jon n' jack at their corniest. like, jonathan looks like he watched too much the nightmare before christmas n' jack dress up like count dracula for no reason. it's so random-ish n' cheesy. but with this being said, i love both of those designs, n' think, that they really suit the vibe of comic issues in which they were featured. jack always came off as a he-witch to me, but it was nice to see it being played on in a different way. n' then, crane really rocks his own outfit as well. i totally need to draw him in it more often, haha. they dress up for a halloween party for real this time. n' well, i added batman n' spiderman into the mix here, bc i kinda wish that they got to fight / interact with those versions of jon n' jack. it would have been fun for a few reasons. also this can be technically counted as shipping art, but can be viewed as your typical gloating bad guy n' helpless hero thing too. n' to clear any possible questions, i only create stuff with adult peter parker. like cartoon era/late early comics, 20 smth one. i love my spiderman being of age, where he can legally mingle with his villains, not be detained at school lol.
3. the classic four from the timeline, when the comic plots were a bit more ligthearted. aka during the times, when the deadly mercenary n' crazy scientist were robbing banks, instead of harming *torturing* people. i love dark stuff, but there is charm to how 'simple' the scarecrow's and jack's goals once were. n' i love how the scarecrow used to do the lil, dorky dances. it really suits him. n' since at least 2 or maybe, most of jack o' lanterns are southernish in their roots like jon, i had an idea of them having a country dance *in the middle of graveyard* kinda just makes sense to me, haha. batman and spiderman merely happen to find them like that. n' well, it's kinda awkward. esp bc they technically don't do anything bad. i also imagine spiderman being like 'oh, so you have one of those too'. which is mostly a ref to how both the scarecrow n' jack were called 'the reject from land of oz' by other characters. they can rejoice here.
4. the develish & undead duo!! my friend once told me to try n' watch older superhero cartoons, and at first i was like 'welp, they prob be hella boring'. but then i caved in, n' watched a couple of superfriends episodes. as result, i fell in love with their scarecrow's desingh! it was unexpected tbh. usually, i prefer jon's older, classic scarecrow look. so no straw hair, less features exposed, just a hat n' a sack on his head, but their version of him actually did it for me. i find their crane both creepy n' cute. n' i also read on wiki, that he might be undead. so that bit interested me as well. non-human jonathan crane, what a concept! him returning from the grave just to be a menace to batman. n' to accompany him, there is an undead jack o' lantern from the ghost rider comic. his corpse literally got possessed by satan. anyways, both of them raised army of zombies. both of them undead n' prob won't ever get out of their spooky suits, since i don't think that they can. n' funny enough, jack's hometown was called sleepy hollows, if i remember correctly. so they can haunt people there, make it into a truly cursed land.
5. the last one was kinda spontaneous on my part. the other day, i was looking at what kind of action figures the scarecrow n' jack have. saw one, where jon was looking kinda strange, all black n' yellow. which is how i find out that he *apparently* got yellow lantern powers in newer comics, even if it was like for 10 seconds or smth. i didn't read the issue itself, but i found the idea kinda fun, n' his design was decent enough for me to get interested n' wonder what i can do with it. then, a bit later, i saw that jack had a venom-funko figure. i don't think, that he was ever canonically venomized in any of the actual comic issues, but once again, the mere idea of it happening was enough for me to consider doing smth with it. i mean, a venom-like tongue, but its made out of fire? dang. that's kinda cool. so yeah. the yellow lantern scarecrow n' symbiote jack o' lantern being the double trouble. if they weren't enough of a mean goblin-man before, now they surely will be.

Connecting Roots
Continues from Laid to Rest
TWs // CWs : Hospitals, Child Injury Mention, Discussions of Pokemon Death, Discussions of Kidnapping / Child Abduction, Panic Attacks, Dissociation, Complete upheaval of life, Police
The hospital was unnerving, with its pristine white walls and floors and its blinding fluorescent lights. The scent of disinfectant perpetrated the air, causing the room to feel artificial and dead. Esper shifted uncomfortably in her bed, forcing herself to not fidget or touch the IV stuck in her arm. Beside her, Victoria sat in the recliner with furrowed brows and a distant stare, her arms crossed and her leg bouncing anxiously. The ticking of the clock pounded its way into Esper’s skull as she waited.
It had been nearly an hour since Reina had excused herself from the hospital room to go make a phone call, ordering Victoria to stay with Esper. At first, the two attempted to make small talk to stave off the silence. But the lingering tension from earlier events hung over them, suffocating any conversation until it died down to nothing more than crossed arms and far-off gazes from Victoria.
And yet despite the passage of time, Reina had yet to return. Esper didn’t know if that was a good or a bad thing. She couldn’t see the dust. She couldn’t see the scattered remains of the Hatterene in her room. She couldn’t tell if any had landed on her, if Barcelona’s last remnants were all over her or in the far corners of the room. She couldn’t tell and she didn’t want to know.
Her body ached, the pain medication only doing so much to dull the throbbing in her face and torso.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, letting the air fill her lungs and hoped she wasn’t breathing in the dust of Barcelona, and opened her eyes to refocus on the blue-haired girl in the room.
“How are your Pokemon doing?” Esper asked, desperate to focus on anything but what had just happened. “I know Maria had to leave the dorm with Esperanza.”
Victoria’s eyes flickered upwards to look at Esper, slipping back into the present. She blinked for a moment before quietly responding with, “Physically, they will be fine. They are Pokemon, they heal fast.” She cast a glance at the blazer pocket that stored her Pokeballs. “Esperanza, as far as I am aware, sustained no injuries. Maria escaped with a few scratches. And Matador…” She trailed off. “Matador doesn’t know Barcelona is dead…”
“Oh…” Esper paused, looking down at her hands as she rubbed the blanket fabric between her fingers, “You're right. He doesn’t.”
With the grim reminder of what had occurred only an hour prior, the girls once again slipped back into uncomfortable silence, with only the ticking clock and the quiet hum of the fluorescent lights to fill the void.
Minutes later, however, Victoria suddenly lifted her head and whirled around to face the entrance to the hospital room. Unfurling her arms, she squinted and furrowed her brows at the door, extreme confusion and disbelief riddled her face. “Wait—” The girl whipped her head to look at Esper, eyes darting around every detail of her face. “Wait wait—”
The girl in the hospital bed blinked, “What–” She quickly brought a hand up to touch her bruised cheek, “What– Is the bruise getting worse?”
“No– I—” Victoria looked back and forth between Esper and the door, her chest rising and falling increasingly erratically. “I don’t– Wait– no—” Her gaze became unfocused as she stared off into the distance behind Esper, shaking her head slightly. She opened her mouth to speak, but all that fell from her lips were unrefined stammers. “You– No– Nono– You can’t—”
“I– What–” Esper furrowed her brows as worry etched itself across her face. She watched her friend’s actions carefully, attempting to understand why her friend was acting so uncharacteristically emotional. Esper moved to the side of the bed, throwing her legs over the edge to sit up as she questioned the other girl. “Tori– Tori, what’s wrong?”
“Est— Esp—”
She was interrupted by a knock on the door. And before either of them could respond, Reina Velasco-Delgado had let herself into the room.
Two officers filed in behind her, along with a sharply dressed man— Victoria’s father.
The white-haired girl paused, her face paling as she eyed the police officers like a wary Pokemon, “Wha…”
Reina raised a hand to cut her off, “You are not in any trouble, love.” With her hands clasped in front of her, her smile warm, and her eyes soft, she appeared a lot less intimidating than she had been an hour ago. She had forgone the thick fur coat and wide brim hat for a much more humble white blazer. If not for her light complexion, she would appear a lot more like Victoria.
Speaking of Victoria, at the sight of her mother and father, the girl had quickly sobered up and sat straighter in her chair. She raised her chin in acknowledgement. The only hint of her prior state was the occasional glance she would throw in Esper’s direction.
Esper looked Reina up and down, doubt and confusion riddling her mind with all sorts of worse case scenarios as she asked, “Then– Then what–”
The girl was swiftly cut off by the clacking of heels as another figure entered the room, stealing away her attention and causing her to freeze in her seat as her eyes met those of an older woman. The older woman froze in turn, letting out a gasp at the sight of Esper and clasping her hand over her mouth where Esper could’ve sworn she had briefly caught a glimpse of the shining whites of fangs. But that wasn’t the only thing of note about the woman. No. Her hair that fell down to just below her shoulders was a brilliant snowy white and her eyes– her eyes were soft lavender with white pupils so bright that they almost seemed to glow.
But that couldn't be. These traits combined with the aged face of the woman resulted in what could only be described as the spitting image of Esper’s father.
If it were not for the fact that this woman was so clearly not her father she would’ve called out to them in excitement, but no. No. This was not her father, she did not know who this woman was.
Esper sat quietly, her guard raised as she stared at the woman through furrowed brows as she waited for her to make some kind of move.
And that was when the woman spoke. “Salut, do you remember me…? Do you know who I am…?” Her voice was soft and warm and she spoke with a strong Kalosian accent.
“...Am I meant to?” The younger girl responded rather bluntly.
The older woman's shoulders slumped slightly as she let her hands fall from her face but nonetheless she smiled at Esper as she answered “I had wished you did but that cannot be helped my dear…” She then leaned down to be face to face with the younger girl and this was when Esper took notice that the woman’s eyes were red and puffy as if she had just been crying. “Which means I should introduce myself, my name is Cécilia Wyrmwood. Does the last name Wyrmwood ring any bells?”
Esper shook her head with a growing sense of dread building in her gut as she glanced off to the side to see the two officers watching them intently.
Cécilia hummed in response, a seemingly sad look in her eyes before she shook her head in turn. “I… I understand. Let’s try this then.” She reached into her purse, pulling a series of photos. Thumbing through them for a moment the older woman selected one and bent down to show it to Esper. “Does this man look familiar to you?”
The white-haired girl looked down at the photo being presented to her and felt her stomach drop as she saw the ever so familiar face of her father staring up at her. It was undoubtedly him, the only difference being a bright toothy grin and a lack of wrinkles, but it was so clearly him.
Esper’s eyes snapped up to meet Cécilia’s, her face paling as she quietly asked, “Why do you have a photo of my da…?”
“Because I’m his twin sister, dear.” The older woman spoke with such confection that Esper didn’t have it in her to argue. To say that, no, no, you’re lying to me, my da has no siblings. Because how could Esper know for sure? Her father always shooed away any conversation about his family, always scolding and telling her to stop asking him such questions. But here she was, in front of one of her father’s family members, in front of one of her family members. But why? Why now? Why here? Why at all?
Esper wanted to ask every question running through her mind, every single one, but the only one that came out was, “Then… then why didn’t he tell me about you..? Why– What–”
Her mouth went dry as Cécilia answered with, “Because he took you.”
“You’re lying.” Esper spat out before thinking. She had to be lying. Her da didn’t take her. He couldn’t have.
Cécilia frowned at this, “I’m not. I promise you, I’m not. He took you and your brother and, as we’ve found out, fled to Spik–”
She was quickly cut off by Esper snapping back, “You are! You must be! My– My da never took me! I’ve lived in Spikemuth my whole life! He never took me if I’ve always been there!”
Victoria visibly flinched at Esper’s sudden outburst. Yet she remained silent as always. Reina stepped to her daughter’s side and rested a hand on the back of the chair, shooting Cécilia a sympathetic frown.
Cécilia sighed in return, “I know. I know this is hard, trust me when I say this.”
“And why should I?” The girl snarled back.
Esper’s aunt took a deep breath and pulled out another photo from the collection she had in her hands, staring at it for a long moment before turning it around for Esper to see. In the photo stood a young girl, no more than six, with white hair and lavender eyes smiling brightly at the camera as she held an older boy’s hand, his complexion darker than her own with curly white hair and his own eyes a darker shade of purple. The two stood in front of a large and extravagant iron gate with Esper’s father off to the side, watching the two with sharp eyes and a soft smile.
“Do you recognize these two?” Cécilia asked in a tone that indicated that she already knew the answer.
Esper felt her hands begin to shake, her eyes scouring the photo for what felt like minutes. No. No. She doesn’t– Those can’t– No– “That’s my brother and I…” She quietly responded, her voice much more meek than what it had been before during her outburst. “But… That can’t– I don’t remember that– Where–”
“That was taken for one of many Christmas photos when you were six...” Cécilia pointed at the building in the far distance of the photo, “That is the Wyrmwood estate in Kalos. Where you grew up until you were taken.”
“But I wasn’t–”
“Your father has been lying to you, my dear.” Cécilia softly responded, reaching to place a hand on the girl’s shoulder only to have her instantly be shrugged off. The older woman held back a sigh as she continued, “He’s been lying to you about so much. That man is not named Cedric Hargrove but rather Lucien Wyrmwood… Much like how your name isn’t Esper Hargove–”
Esper’s chest began to rapidly rise and fall. No. No. No no nononono– This wasn’t real– This can’t be real–
“–but rather Estelle Lucille Wyrmwood… Lucien took both you and Flynn on November thirtieth twenty-seventeen and we’ve been looking for you ever since…”
“No. No– No no no–” Esper repeated in a frenzy. Her eyes began to tear up as she felt the pit in her stomach begin to twist and churn, a shooting pain firing through her as she felt her heart begin to strain and hurt. That was all she felt. Hurt. “Wh– Why would he– He wouldn’t do that—”
“Because he cheated on his wife, your brother’s mother, and had you with another woman–” Cécilia continued despite Esper’s protests, her brows furrowing as she tried to find the words, “We… We hadn’t known that was the case and it’s an incredibly long and upsetting story that I feel as though should be shared with you at another time–”
“You’re lying–” Esper interrupted the older woman, her voice strained, “You have to be lying– Pl– Please be lying–”
She can’t trust this woman. She doesn’t know this woman. Who can she trust? Was there anyone here she could trust? Was there anyone here who wouldn’t lie to her for some unforeseen gain?
Victoria.
Esper whipped her head around to look at the girl, tuning out Cécilia's voice with relative ease as she stared at her friend with pleading eyes. Victoria would tell her. Victoria would tell her the truth.
And as if Victoria could hear her thoughts, she lifted her gaze to look Esper in the eye. With trembling hands, she slowly reached to pull off her gloves, exposing the eye-shaped tattoo on the back of her hand. Setting the glove aside, she wordlessly extended her exposed hand to Esper with a small nod.
An invitation to discover the truth for herself.
She knew Esper would believe every word she said. And yet she was giving her the option anyway.
Esper stared at the open hand for a moment, fear of what she may learn causing her to hesitate and second guess if she really wanted to know. But she did. She so desperately did. Because if this was all a lie then she would need to worry about why she was being lied to. And if it wasn’t…
The room became dead silent as Esper slowly took her friend’s hand into her own.
The memory of two young girls flashed into her mind: one with dark blue hair and small freckles on her cheeks, and the other… the girl from the picture. The two girls were playing with dolls in a beautiful garden, burying a Ken doll that had clearly been set on fire in recent history. On the other side of the makeshift grave stood a towering Pangoro and Matador, Victoria’s Armarouge, lowering their heads solemnly as if attending a funeral service. The Pangoro pretended to wipe a tear from his eye as he held his cabbie hat to his chest. The girls put the Ken doll in a casket and lowered it into the grave. Normal little girl stuff.
But that was clearly a younger Victoria. And that was clearly a younger Esper. Estelle? A younger her.
The memory melted away as the girl’s hand slipped from her friend’s, falling limply at her side as she slowly turned back to Cécilia. She could hear that Cécilia was attempting to speak to her but no matter how much she strained, no matter how much she tried, she could not hear her. She could barely even see her face.
Something wet hit her arm, pulling her gaze downwards to see dark spotting along her hospital gown. Tear stains. When did she start crying? How long had she been crying?
Esper could feel her throat squeezing tightly shut, narrowing her airways and making it harder to fill her lungs with air but when she could she could her chest heaving and shaking. Her heart was being strangled from within, sharp pains shooting through like salt to tender wounds. Her hands were unsteady as she wrapped them around herself in a tight embrace, squirming away as she felt someone else's hands try to reach for her. She didn’t know who it was. She didn’t care. She didn’t want to be touched.
She felt cold, clammy, as if all worth had been sucked from her in an instant. Thousands of thoughts ran through her head as tears stained her cheeks and mucus filled her nose. Everything hurt. Her muscles, her heart, her mind. Everything. Hurt.
It hurts it hurts it hurts it hurtsithurtsithurtsithurts–
She felt sick.
Esper could barely feel her own mind as she tried to look at the faces around her, finding that her vision was startlingly becoming more and more fuzzy as seconds passed to such a point she wasn’t even convinced that she could see. “I don’t–” She choked out, her voice nearly inaudible, “I don’t feel well….”
She couldn’t see. She couldn’t hear. She could not think as her vision faded into nothingness and Esper, the now no longer missing Wyrmwood girl, collapsed onto her hospital bed.

nah but forever and badboyhalo's dynamic means so fucking much to me like wayyyyy back when bbh did his lil 'drink water grim reaper' routine on forever bc he got worried about them adventuring out on their own and inadvertently made forever distrusting of him, esp since there was the coverup lie still going around about richas losing a life to a guy matching bbh's description, except then they bonded over both wanting to protect the eggs, and then they bonded over theory lore
and now it's like, bbh allowed forever to have the warp to his secret room with dapper's stasis chamber and his villager farm (something NO ONE ELSE to my knowledge has, like barely anyone even has the warp to his FARM and he gave forever access to the warpstone that's literally called SECRET ROOM), and forever allows bad access to things that he reserves only for the other brazilians, and the second bad joined the server today, forever noticed and even mid-argument with cellbit he immediately warned bad "cellbit crazy", the second the meeting finished it was BAD he confided in, IMMEDIATELY and forever full fucking saying to bad "you are the person i trust most on this server" your honor they mean so fucking much to me i'm never going to fucking shut up about this

I have like. Such extensive backstory HCs for Grim and Gnarly and I just never talk about it. They just live in my head. I think abt them almost as much as I think abt Allan, I like them a Lot.
I had developed Grim's backstory pretty heavily but not Gnarly's, so I've been thinking abt his.
My take on him is that he had insanely shitty parents who did not like or care for him. He left at 16 and couch surfed. His first job was at a butcher shop. The owner, Butcher John, was very gruff, kind of rude and standoffish, but he really did take Gnarly in. This guy in the few years Gnarly worked there was more of a dad to him than his actual dad ever was. Neither of them were ever comfortable with Gnarly calling him that, and neither were ever comfortable talking about feelings, trauma etc. All Gnarly knows is that Butcher John went through something similar as a kid.
Something about Gnarly is he is genuinely smart. But no one ever expects this from him. He has dyslexia and some trouble reading and teachers and especially his parents always assumed that meant he was Stupid. He's not!! But he grew up thinking this so he never really tried, because what was the point ?? And in high school he really embraced the "Cool guy, doesnt care about anything" image. He also was really averse to doing anything seen as non-masculine. Gnarly always grew up more into boys than girls(And later figured out he didn't like girls at all, he just felt like he had to) and his parents were Not happy about that, to say the least.
But this also led to him not embracing things he liked that didn't fit that mold. Until his idol and basically adopted dad came home with a guy. Gnarly genuinely had no idea Butcher John was queer. He was the most masculine person Gnarly knew, ever. When he was told "I'm not doing any of this to be masculine. I'm just doin it because I like it." it really hit him. So he started letting himself doing things seen as nerdy, like reading. He found out he loves reading historical fiction and non-fiction, as well as fantasy. He started taking piano lessons, too, in addition to guitar lessons.
Even though he felt more self confident, he still was convinced he wouldn't be smart enough to get into college. But he did- on scholarship. This led to him feeling like he was taking it away from someone else, dealing w imposter syndrome, before John encouraged him(Along with John's now husband! Also named John. Which is why the OG John is referred to as Butcher John.)
Even though Gnarly never refers to him as his dad or anything, he keeps in close contact with him even as an adult. The only time he ever saw Butcher John cry was when Gnarly called him, after being able to escape Hell. Until Griddle happened and Gnarly introduced Griddle to the Johns- that also made Butcher John cry.
Fun fact: Nowadays, Butcher John is a vegan. He doesn't regret being a butcher, considering he always used every part of the animal (His husband is a taxidermist! Its how they met.) and always modeled and taught Gnarly respect for nature. But when he wasnt able to verify exactly where the meat was coming from anymore after farms stopped being local, he closed his shop and went vegan. Hes a little preachy about it, but Gnarly know its out of a deep respect for animals. (Though vegan, John is fine with using vintage animal product clothes such as leather.)
Gnarly still hunts, and is as far as vegan as you can get, esp since deer are insanely overpopulated near Meep City. But respect for nature is a big thing for him, which is why he loves taking camping trips with Gristle- and once Griddle and Gnasty are old enough, them too!!
He still struggles heavily with anxiety, self doubt and imposter syndrome. But he has a family now, which is more than he ever had as a kid.
Also, when he found out his dad kicked the bucket, he came home to Gristle and Grim throwing him a surprise party to celebrate, which Gnarly appreciated SO much. Fuck that guy !!
I need to design The Johns since they're important figures in Gnarly's life. They're like. The opposite of Grim's mom.

Case study and analysis of the 1992 Good Omens movie screenplay (“the shitscript”) in light of the ongoing WGA strike
As one could suspect, the topic of the 1992 Good Omens movie screenplay and its infamy has recently emerged from the depths of the fandom. In light of the ongoing WGA strike it’d be good to properly address this issue, starting with Neil Gaiman’s own recollection written in 2004:
It’s basically the same old story — of brilliant creative workers struggling under the pressure of detached studio executives and being legally forced to mutilate their work again and again for no artistic or economic reason — we’ve heard before in many different contexts.
If you’re reading this and somehow still wondering why writers are fighting for their rights at the moment, their job security hasn’t changed much since then. Please follow the WGA, SAG-AFTRA, and other unions’ official channels for detailed information and ways to help the cause.
Anyway, it took over a decade and an enormous effort to print the screenplay in a limited edition of 552 copies. It can’t be distributed otherwise due to IP law, but some fans shared its fragments online and heavily criticized them, dubbing the 1992 source material #shitscript
There’s been obviously a lot of controversies over the changes in the plot and the relationship between the main characters. And rightfully so — the number of iterations has created something very different from the beloved book and the award-winning show we can all enjoy today.
It’s… objectively not good. Wouldn’t be considered a hit back then and certainly not by today’s standards. I don’t think I would watch it in any other way than through channel surfing. However, it’s not a monstrosity some people believe it to be and not a case of low effort.
Let’s start with the world building: the setting wasn’t changed to the US. It’s still very much based in the UK, mostly London and Tadfield, although the latter lies now by the sea and seems much more ominous. Interestingly, the British Museum becomes a prominent location as well.
The main character and the designated hero is not surprisingly Crowley, this time in his 90s anti-hero glory. If you haven’t watched many movies of this era, esp. dark fantasy, this trope involves middle-age disenchantment, cynicism, as well as hefty doses of sarcasm and brooding.
90s anti-heroes are a dark, grim, and unnecessarily violent embodiment of power fantasy, matching the destructive ideology of that time. Combined with uber-masculinity and performative strength over weaker characters, nowadays they naturally evoke more cringe or worry than awe.
1992 iteration of Crowley is basically in his Furfur era. Deeply unhappy and stuck in a dead end job, all he talks about is how he hates Earth and his assignment here, considering a transfer to Alpha Centauri as his one and only possibility of career advancement. Or life, really.
The talking part is important here, because he clearly compensates by insulting everything and everyone. He hates on the whole planet at length only to confess that he’d rather stay here with Aziraphale due to “no good restaurants”, “no decent bottle of wine” in Alpha Centauri.
Yes, he’s verbally abusive in his automatic response to stress. But doesn’t hate Aziraphale. In one particular scene he calls Azi stupid twice only to assure him that they are friends and to offer to solve the problem when he sees that his words were taken seriously and hurt him.
Crowley refers to him as “my angel” and “my dear Aziraphale”, agrees to Aziraphale’s suggestion of sharing a room, praises the angel as a “miracle worker around the home”, drinks the tea he makes for him, and generally proves to be much softer towards him than he wants to admit.
Aziraphale, on the contrary, wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s the one engineering ways to spend more time together, following Crowley around, checking up on him (including miracling himself into his apartment and office when no one answers the door), offering help right away.
He’s successfully calming Crowley down through his anxiety attacks, overcomes his dislike of heights (!) for Crowley, directly challenges him and even breaks rules only to make Crowley stay with him. Crowley seems to be his main motivation in this movie, not the saving the world.
1992 Aziraphale also has the most badass scene in the whole Good Omens multiverse to date, taking a 180 degree turn from the typical guardian angel we all know and love to the real angel of wrath protecting Crowley from harm in his true form.
But there’s no Their Side in this universe. The only semblance of that concept appears in the context of Anathema not representing either of their respective bosses, but humanity. “That’s the trouble with the humans. They’re on their own side.”
This Crowley appears not as much on Hell’s side as under Satan’s heel. He’s scared of him and subservient, and needs Aziraphale to prevent his escape as a pretext to do what is right. He lets the angel stop him by pretending that he doesn’t even see him cheating during their duel.
By finally standing up to his toxic boss (Satan is like Gabriel during the body-swapped trial, suave and cruel) and leaving Hell’s side to do good, Crowley takes an emancipated and employee-focused stance instead of fighting for his relationship with Aziraphale like shown in S1.
Which is a shame, but matches the overall tone of the screenplay and the times it was written in. The concept of free will, while simplified in a true Hollywood-style to issues like mind control and fear, is still crucial to this interpretation of the Good Omens original plot.
Especially the character of Anathema is seen fighting both of these things. There’s no Agnes Nutter with her prophecies here, only a 21-year-old witch and her will to thwart the ultimate evil versus her fear of doing it at a cost of one boy’s life, versus Satan’s brainwashing.
Madame Tracy appears slightly redesigned as a new character as well, but isn’t 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 for the most part. She’s been enjoying her youth way too much to see how fast it was fleeting, and this sudden realization left her in shock from which she denies to come back.
Unfortunately she’s also the one who took in baby Adam and now stays under his care. The level of his parentification is unnerving, much like his bullying and loneliness. He struggles to be loved and ask for love, which becomes his main quest beyond, y’know, the apocalypse thing.
Don’t worry, despite everything all ends well just like in the book. The family of two gets a chance to start again on much healthier terms and Anathema to live for herself for the first time in years. Our heroes get back in their car, Crowley tempting Aziraphale with an apple.
All in all, this whole post is a very long reminder for Amazon Prime to #PayYourWriters, #PayYourActors, and #RenewGoodOmens! The strike is still ongoing and crucial for any new content for this and many other fandoms #GiveMeS3orGiveMeDeath

How about some qmissa hc's :D? (also hope you're ok🖤 take care of yourself!)
Dude I can't fucking wait to write more of Missa in AMFMN I'm so excited to show what I have planned for him.
Disclaimer these are gonna be very Just Missa or Pissa related since I'm a crow so I don't get to watch him interact with many other ccs the rare times he streams 😭 Forgive me /lh
Ok I've said this elsewhere but my biggest headcanon is that he's a grim reaper. It's why he's gone so often, he's off doing a very demanding job.
Second biggest Missa hc I have is that he has (currently one-sided) romantic feelings for Phil. This is kinda canon actually but the one-sided part who knows. Either way oh my god he gets the worst butterflies around Phil /pos
THESE REAPER HANDS ARE RATED E FOR EVERYONE. You piss him off and he WILL throw hands about it. Probably through tears bc he still gets scared in the face of danger but HANDS.
He 🤝🏻 Phil on self esteem issues to a certain degree. He's certainly not as bad but boy does he have moments. He's not as stubborn as Phil so he's easier to reassure though.
His skull mask is a sugar skull!! :D
When he's wearing the mask and doesn't wanna take it off but wants to show he's big mad he'll sometimes draw angry eyebrows on his mask. He's done this in front of Phil and it absolutely killed him.
Gets overwhelmed /pos being on his own with Chayanne & Tallulah. They let loose a bit bc Phil isn't around to be Oh My God Survivalist Mode about their safety so Missa gets the brunt of unhinged behavior. Lots of laughter but also screaming involved.
He's a professional at saying out of pocket suggestive shit so fast that the translator doesn't catch it.
Yeah no he's smooched Roier a few times. Before Roier was married and he got down atrocious for Phil but yeah they did.
Smth about being with Roier turns him into quadruple the gremlin he already can be. Cellbit has aptly dubbed it The Roier Effect.
If he was given a guitar and the opportunity to do so, he'd sing/perform at every major Quesadilla Island event. (He'd be lowkey terrified bc that's a bit overwhelming but Phil and others would be cheerleading him so hard he'd do it).
When he freaks out about stuff, esp around Phil, some of it is actually secretly exaggerated bc he likes that it makes Phil laugh so much.
He gives the best fucking hugs. Instant comfort. Also he's very huggable himself. Phil's pretty buff so when he hugs Missa tight enough he cracks Missa's back like bubble wrap.
The handle of his scythe has a music staff print on it :D
God DAMN can he be spiteful sometimes. It makes Phil kinda (Floshed).
