Androgynous/Masc Leaning Capsule Wardrobe Ideas
In honor of International Nonbinary People’s Day, I offer you the clothing advice I wish I had like 15 years ago. I prefer a small well curated wardrobe but it is so tough to pull that off as a nonbinary genderfluid person. I spent years struggling to make my capsule wardrobe work for me. Every example I saw was either with feminine clothes or with the world blandest men’s clothing.
For reference, I’m AFAB and live in Kentucky - very hot and muggy in summers, can get quite cold (-20 F) in winter but it’s usually mild with highs are in the 30F-40F range most days. This is the advice I’d give my younger self if I could.
Focus on 10-15 Core Items
While I am fluid, I consistently spend most of my time “inbetween” these days. Having a neutral to masc learning main wardrobe with some feminine items to mix in wound up working best for me. So here’s the masc leaning base wardrobe I recommend.
~3 x Button Ups - I went with short sleeve Hawaiian shirts for myself because I love bold patterns. You can find a lot of Hawaiian shirt these days that don’t have stereotypical “island” patterns on them while still being pretty light and breathable in summer. If your style leans more classic, consider oxford cloth button ups. You might need more button ups if you work in a business casual setting.
~3 x Tees - I like graphic tees, specifically hand screen printed ones so that’s what I go with. But if your style is more classic then consider investing in some good quality solid color tees.
~3 x Casual Tops - for me this is a tank top, turtleneck, and a Henley. But you might consider a collarless button ups, plain long sleeve shirts, and ringer style long sleeve shirts.
~3 Pants - for me, I have black and stone washed denim since those are my favorites. I look for tapered fits over skinny or boot leg where I can. I have one pair that’s a jogger style I quite like. You might look for chinos or khakis if you have a more formal dress code at work but they’ll still work with graphic tees and other tops if you style them right.
~3 x Layers - for me this is a cardigan, a flannel, and a hoodie. You might consider v neck or crew neck sweaters, cable knit sweaters, and fair isle sweaters as well.
Feminine Clothing Module
What’s nice about this approach is that you can then create a feminine clothing module that plays nicely with your main wardrobe.
For me this looks like
1-2 Dresses - I have a maxi tee dress and a long sleeved linen dress since that works more for everyday wear for me.
1-2 Skirts - I don’t have any presently but the next big feminine swing I have I’ll be ordering a nice linen skirt in my favorite color.
1-2 Casual Tops - I don’t have any presently after my last big wardrobe edit but business casual shell tops, camisoles, and cowl neck tops work well here.
1-2 Layers - I have a linen blazer in a women’s cut and a long striped duster. You might consider a kimono style shrug/wraps, sweaters in a more feminine cut, and women’s cardigans
You don’t need a lot here because so much of the main wardrobe can be mixed with a feminine element or two and it becomes much more feminine - especially if you’re AFAB but even if you’re AMAB. It doesn’t take a lot a feminine clothing to make an over all outfit look more feminine and subtle touches work just as well as more overt styles ime.
Sizing
Sizing is tricky as hell. I’m plus size (size 18-20 in women’s pants) and especially trying to find masculine stuff with the right fit is a pain. I really recommend going in to try things on if you’re able but if not get comfortable with the idea you will likely need to send things back. Yes you can take measurements but those measurements are still listed with different proportions in mind.
For men’s clothes I lean toward a slightly oversized fit - as most men I’m around do. For women’s clothes, I lean toward a slightly tight fit - as most women I’m around do. Look at the people around you and see which fits they lean toward and opt for that where you’re able to for yourself.
Shoes, Outwear, Special Occasions
Shoes - I tend to opt to go neutral in my shoes and outerwear. Not in color or pattern mind you but gender. For shoes, I currently have 3 pairs - a pair of crocs (with spikes), running shoes/sneakers (old Champion brand slip ons), and a pair of Doc Martens. These are good options if you’re AMAB too because the sizing is unisex or available in similar styles for men and women. Other good options are Vans, Chucks, any hippie sandal brand you can think of. “Nicer” shoes are great but often pretty gendered. I lean toward getting “nicer shoes” that are opposite my assigned gender when I do grab them.
Outerwear - I also tend to opt for gender neutral options for outerwear too. Since it doesn’t get terribly cold here, I stick to a micropuff jacket from North Face and layer a black denim jacket over it when it gets cold. When I wear it with masc stuff, blends in. When I wear it with feminine stuff, it adds a slight edge I like. Pea coats are decent options as well. If you live some place real cold, a lot of the long winter coats are basically the same between genders, just different fits.
Special Occasions - I would recommend not worrying about special occasions until or unless they come up. I have the same two “special occasion” dresses that I’ve been using for years because they come up so rarely and I can’t bare to spend too much money on something I’ll wear maybe once or twice a year. Formal wear is highly gendered and if you learn androgynous it’s a tough needle to thread. For those events with hosts you know, it’s worth reaching out to them to see what they think makes an outfit “formal” - could be nicer cuts or materials, could be rigid gender norms - can’t know until you ask.
For most special occasions, I do not know the host, so I default very structured looks in accordance with my assigned gender. Still feels a bit edgy but no ones gonna have the guts to say it’s wrong. For AMAB folks you might do the inverse, more flowy looks and colors while still adhering to your assigned gender. All depends on the level of familiarity you have with the hosts and the flack you’re willing to catch.
Outfits
Some masc leaning outfit ideas:
button up, hoodie, pants, boots
graphic tee, flannel or cardigan, pants, sneakers
turtleneck, pants, boat shoes
button up, tie, cardigan, pants, chelsea boots
Some fem leaning outfit ideas:
button up, cardigan, skirt, sneakers
shell top, wrap, pants, sandals
graphic tee, skirt, sneakers
dress, sandals
Conclusion
Hope this was helpful to someone out there!

Adult Lottie Style Analysis:
Adult Lottie’s style differs from her younger counterpart as she wears a lot more flowy fabrics. Lottie often wears long slip dresses underneath a variety of different patterned kimonos. Her jewelry is gold and often features different stones with spiritual meaning (such as the rose quartz and pink tourmaline necklace etc.) I also find it important to add that it was very important to Simone Kessell that Lottie never wear heliotrope.
Colors: Gold, Blue with pops of orange, green and white.
Repeatedly Worn Brands: L’Agence, AUREUS + ARGENT/Bannana Republic (jewelry), Kate Shepherd Creative (jewelry), Free People.
Ideas of how to dress like Lottie:
• Layer a kimono over a solid color dress
• Wear velvet duster coats.
• Accessorize with gold gemstone jewelry.

Android Au TWST pt3
You knew what you wanted to see, after all it’s exactly what brought you here in the beginning. To this odd fancy shop, looking something like a gothic romantics dream, its odd mosaic tiles and the faint smell of wood and metal. You turn to the giddy Owner, who’s eyes look bright behind her pink mask as she waits for you as patiently as she could.
Which isn’t much seeing how the tip of her heels drag back and forth into the carpet of the floor.
“I want to see the Pomefiore Collection,” You tell her, pointing to the halls past the painted murals of twisted apple tree’s. The manager, who’s name you should care to check their name tag, nods eagerly. She tucks away her duster into her dress, leaving no dent of it.
She swings her hands towards the halls in a grand gesture,” Right this way! This way! Here you’ll see quite the beauties that not even Royal Sword Automation can boast about!” She trills like a bird, already having her hand behind your back not touching you but still urging you into the hall.
You wisely keep your mouth shut about the Neige Unit. You only saw pictures of the Vil Unit, and God, someone must have been in a good mood to make him. The Vil Unit is notoriously expensive, and you heard of people even willing to get into debt for him, not that you could understand. Really what android is worth that pain?
Biting your lip in excitement as you pass the murals of apple groves, at some point the budget of this company comes true as the tree branches emerge slowly out of the walls of the hall— now it feels like a small forest. As the leaves look glossy and true, branches touching you remind you of hands. At some point the hall ends at heavy doors, a bit dramatic but it adds flavor to the anticipation of the androids of Pomefiore.
The manager pats her dress, looking and peeking into her clothes as if trying to find something. You wait patiently, but you have to admit the manager is scatterbrained. The Owner mumbles in wonder, looking into her sleeves and her apron finding nothing but lint and her invoices. She pats her hair in distress but feeling a bump in her bun, she lets out a loud triumphant cry.
“Oh! I found it! Silly me!” she giggles pulling a golden key, slim and with an odd oval handle, out of her hair bun. You grimace seeing she had to tug it out.
“Ow! Okay, prepare to be amazed!” The manager speaks in her grand voice, with you politely clapping. ”Here the beauties of Pomefiore have no rivals! The amazing trio!”
With a soft click of the door, the loud creaks of the heavy doors give way to soft wisps of purple smoke, the room was dark with a faint gleam of marble pillars. Unlike the lower floor displays, these glass cases lay flat, their androids resting with their hands over their chests like a display of the sleeping soundly in their glowing coffins that glitter. In a way, you are reminded of the stories of sleeping princesses hidden in towers, awakened by true love’s kiss. In the darkness of the room, deep indigo tapestries hung above them, an apple, a bow, and a crown.
The manager watches you walk with a dazed look in your eyes as you find yourself drawn to the coffin-like display, glass with lights beneath, soft as the first snow. Staring at the display of a sweet face android, hair like lavender strewn across his pillow, eyes shut with lashes longer than your nails and soft pink lips. His clothes are like a kimono, like you say as there is an obvious difference in its style, with black sleeves covering his hands. His slim hands crossed over his waist with apple blossoms held between his hands. You wanted to see his eyes but that would be creepy to demand.
So you settle looking over him, wondering about his eyes, almost forgetting yourself as you touch the glass that felt warm. As you stare at them you don't hear the faint noise of metal squeaking.
“Oh! The Epel Felmier unit!” a sudden voice said way too close to your ear.
“Shit!” You yelp, frightened from the Owner suddenly appearing next to you. Scrambling, you push yourself off the poor androids display, looking at the manager with disdain. “A little bit of a warning would be nice!”
The manager shakes her hands rapidly,”My bad! I couldn’t help but notice your interest in the Epel Felmier Unit! Now let me tell you something about this short beauty, despite his cute looks he’s quite the little hot head!"
That, you can believe, as any short guy would be.
"Hard working, and willing to do just about any manly work,” She flexes her arms,” not to mention his units have been known to participate in the Harveston farming community, as a popular choice of android. A natural harvester and perfect unit for a cute sled date."
“So….a farm boy?” You ask, looking over him, and in a little awe you can spot soft delicate freckles splattered over his nose and cheeks. They're faint on his smooth 'skin' but noticeable, truly an art of the androids creators.
Even someone like yourself who lacks magic, can feel its faint pulse as they charge.
“Has the accent mode installed too!” The Owner then nudges her head to the other glowing glass case, where a taller unit is laid, in its case. Reluctantly you come to it. You can see high cheekbones, sharp with a more warmer complexion and a slight tan, his bob cut hair the color of dandelions that gently rest against the nape of his neck. Unlike the Epel unit, this one looks sturdy, his body lean but you can tell more fit with a muscular build.
" Here is the inspiration of the loyal huntsman of the Beautiful Queen. The Rook Hunt Unit! Loyal to its owner! Do you need a companion in the mountains or even your own personal ranger? Then the Hunt unit is for you. This deadly beauty is certified by most environmental rangers, and has been recommended by most outdoorsmen for those who want a guide or maybe if you are a fellow poet. Your own, admiring huntsman."
She winks as she looks down on the sleeping android. You don't blame her. Looking past his bob cut, even you had to admit there is a handsomeness to his looks, the curve of his sharp eyes closed and the dark lashes that grace his cheek bones. His lips are a bit thin, but look plump to kiss.
Unlike Epel, he held a hat that didn't match the scheme of his clothes. A brown hunter hat with a long white feather that curls. However it was his hands that rested on it that took you. Beautifully crafted, long fingers to knock bows, the grooves of his fingers and you can make a soft bump where he notches his arrows. Large hands and you can imagine what he can hold in them.
"Please stop touching the glass," The Owner pipes up, a bottle of winex in hand," it gets hard to get off."
Embarrassed, you clear your throat brushing your hair as the squeaky cleaning is done. You looked at the last coffin and felt your skin rise.
Stepping close, almost afraid, you could see him.
The Vil Unit.
If the other two were beautiful in a delicate or handsome sort of way then Vil was another level. There is a grace he was molded in, the curve of his jaw cutting yet a softness with it. The sharp shape of his eyes, yet there is a soft roundess brought by his long lashes. His hair a pale blond shade bordering white with oddly enough a soft ombre of purple at the tips of his hair. Long and braided back into a bun with a graceful twist, a gold decorated crown seated around him with hearts. Like the other two he wore his kimono inspired dress, his hands clasped together, soft and long with sharp painted nails. Even with no makeup he was breathtaking.
You didn't pay attention to the clearing noise of the Owner as you pressed into the glass in wonder.
Vil looked beautiful, a sleeping Queen instead of a prince surrounded by light of the fake flowers in his glass, the pink tint of his lips making them look so…so..
"Soft," you murmur over his face.
"Ahem!" You're pulled out of your trance as the Owner pulls you back, her friendly grin gone."Sorry, but no kissing the display case!"
An ungodly wheeze leaves you when you realize you're practically about to smooch the glass display. Face practically hot and sweaty, you turn away immediately embarrassed.
"I'm so so so sorry!" You apologize, stumbling over to the owner," I didn't-! I uh, this is so embarrassing!"
Feeling merciful the Owner sighs and begins to walk over with a winex bottle in hand and a towel she had on hand somewhere. "It's alright, you aren't the first one to try that," She sighs as she depressingly cleans Vil's display," this android gets more action than all of us."
That's oddly depressing, you think but you have no room to talk since you just tried to smooch the display.
Wiping down Vil's coffin, the Owner pipes up with a much warmer voice," As you can already tell Vil is our top best seller, a legacy android of the Schoenheit line, a popular model with both young and older groups. Whatever you want, an actor, a singer or even a trainer, Vil can do it. He's the best of the best, and can make anyone beautiful under his certified guided hands. As are most of our unit have been certified in their respective groups and for our customers' health."
"Oh! I know how handsome he is! Vil's tend to trend more!" Gushing over him, she looks at you with a more sympathetic look.
"Just looking at you, you might not be able to afford him but that's okay, he's too good for us both." She said assuring you.
"What! I can afford him!" You said defensively. Your bank account says otherwise but you will not acknowledge that or the loans.
"Yes of course!" She claps her hands rapidly like some golfer groupie," Customer can afford our brand lines like Vil!"
Oh, oh this owner! Annoyed, you look over Vil's display case to see how expensive and exclusive he must be just to see if you can pay it off in payments. Taking a glance at the pricing, your abruptly turn around on your heel and squeak," So about those other units!"
The Owner brightens and begins showing you out of the Pomefiore room and out into the dark hall.
Vil would have broken you.

Ikemen Sengoku (JP)
Kicho's Main Story Chapter 2 Part 1
Please do not repost. Expect mistakes.
Translation under the cut.
After Kicho left, another subordinate came to show me my room.
(Ugh, I'm so tired.)
As soon as I entered, I took advantage of the room's privacy to lie down on the tatami mats and relax my tense and stiff body.
(To think he almost allowed me to go to his business meeting一Ugh! I screwed up pretty hard.)
(How many guns did he buy? What is he going to procure next? That's the kind of information we need.)
I remember Mitsuhide saying I should be more careful acting like a spy.
(To avoid failing, don't step in recklessly, and don't act on your emotions.)
(I've broken it pretty badly, but I got a small glimpse of Kicho's goal.)
------------Flashback------------
Mai: “I think conflicts will happen if more people get their hands on weapons.”
Kicho: “That is my goal.”
Kicho: “I’ll incite the forces of various regions and disturb Japan. This trading post is for that purpose.”
Mai: “A lot of people are going to die.”
Kicho: “…………..”
Kicho: “It’s a necessary sacrifice.”
---------Flashback Ends---------
After hearing his words, it sounded like his goal was not to defeat the Oda forces.
He wanted something much bigger than that, something that would disrupt the very country we were living in.
(One other thing that bothered me was the pause he made.)
(I wonder what he was thinking right before he said it was a necessary sacrifice.)
(If I could just talk to him a little and know everything about him, I wouldn’t have a hard time right now.)
Mai: "Alright!"
I sat up and rubbed my sore calf lightly under my kimono.
(Yeah, I can still move. I need to start doing my chores.)
Maid: "Are you sure you're okay?"
Mai: "Yes, of course. Sitting still actually makes me feel restless."
Maid: "Really? Well, then, I'll leave it to you."
Maid: "Lord Kicho is out of the house right now, and we don't have any visitors, so I wanted to clean up the furnishings."
Mai: "Okay! Leave it to me."
As I left the room, I called out to a maid passing by and got a job.
(Perfect. Now, I look like a maid.)
(After what happened earlier, it's probably best not to approach Kicho again today.)
(Good thing he's not here right now.)
And so I began to explore the trading post, pretending to be a maid working hard at cleaning.
(This one looks really expensive.)
I lightly tap a finely decorated vase in the hallway with a duster.
Like the guest room, the inside of the hall was furnished with luxurious-looking furniture that was probably imported abroad.
(The maid already said it, but there’s almost no dust on the floor. I guess it's cleaned every day.)
(Like Kicho, this trading house doesn't have any openings at all.)
(That means the important documents are kept in a safe place. For example一)
???: "Miss, that's dangerous."
Mai: "-----!"
(W-Who is it!?)
???: "I'm sorry. It wasn't nice of me to call you out so suddenly."
???: "You were preoccupied, so I got curious."
Mai: "You got curious?"
???: "Yes. Also, that vase is pretty expensive as far as the decoration goes."
???: "I've never seen someone hit it so hard like that with a duster."
Mai: "I-I'm sorry!"
(I didn't realize I was putting too much force on it.)
(I almost left this trading house because of this damn vase.)
Mai: "Um, thank you for the warning."
After thanking him, I look up at the man in front of me again.
He has brown skin and magnificent silver hair, giving him a unique air different from Kicho's.
His red eyes, reminding me of a pomegranate, are faintly narrowed.
Shojumaru: "Sorry for the late introduction. I'm Shojumaru."
Shojumaru: "I'm a trader. I often come here."
Mai: "I see. My name is Mai, and I got here today for my apprenticeship."
Shojumaru: "Lady Mai, huh? And what are you doing now?"
Mai: "Well, as you can see, I'm cleaning."
Shojumaru: "I didn't mean that."
Shojumaru: "You were thinking pretty hard about something, so I thought maybe you have something else you want to do."
Mai: "------!"
Shojumaru's words almost made my face scrunch up.
Somehow holding back, I pulled the hand holding the duster in front of my chest.
Mai: "I was just worried I'd get lost here."
Mai: "I was trying to remember the route I took so that I could at least return to my room properly."
Shojumaru: "I see."
Shojumaru: "As I said before, I often come here, so if you have any questions, just ask."
Mai: "Okay, thank you!"
(He's such a nice guy.)
I got a little defensive, but all he just wanted to do was to make sure I didn't drop the vase.
Maybe he just asked the question simply out of concern.
Mai: "By the way, are you here for some business?"
Mai: "If you want to see Kicho, he went to the port a while ago."
Shojumaru: "Port?"
He asked me curiously.
Mai: "Yes. So, if you're looking for Kicho一"
Kicho: "I'm listening."
Mai: "That's right. Wait, what!?"
I took a step back, startled by Kicho standing beside me.
Mai: "Are you done with your work?"
Kicho: "No, it got pushed back to a later date. Apparently, the captain is not feeling well."
Mai: "I see."
Kicho: "Shojumaru. If you need me, I'll be in my room."
Shojumaru: "No, it's okay. I'm just here to pick up something."
Shojumaru: "More importantly, Lady Mai there seemed to have something to say."
Mai: "Huh?"
Kicho: "Oh, what is it?
Mai: "No. I didn't一"
Shojumaru: "She's worried that she might get lost because this place is too big."
(Shojumaru!?)
Still flustered by what was happening, I watched on, not wanting to interrupt, as Kicho nodded in agreement.
Kicho: "I see. Then, Mai."
Mai: "Yes?"
Kicho: "Follow me. I'll show you around."
Mai: "You don't need to do that! I'll just ask the other maids."
(I just decided earlier that I shouldn't approach him.)
Shojumaru: "Lady Mai, I don't think you need to hold back."
Shojumaru: "This is also a job of the head of this place. Right?"
Kicho: "Yeah. You also need to keep this information in your head."
Mai: "I guess."
(I can't say really say no. I never expected he'd care like this.)
Shojumaru: "Good luck with your work."
After Shojumaru left, I followed Kicho as he showed me around the trading post.
Kicho: "That's all for the first floor."
Kicho: "There are a few rooms for visitors, but for the most part, they are reserved for those who work in this building."
Kicho: "You will be using them every day. Remember that."
Mai: "I understand. Still, this place is very spacious."
Using a piece of paper and a brush that Kicho gave me, I jotted down the floor plan of the building.
(This is the kitchen, and this is the room I was shown earlier.)
(From there, down the hallway, near the doorway, is the guest room, and further back is the hall.)
Mai: "Oh..."
(I need to put some ink on this.)
(Using a brush as a writing tool is pretty inconvenient.)
I dipped the tip of the brush into a small portable inkstone and slid the brush onto the paper again while Kicho stared at me as I repeated this several times.
Mai: "Sorry to keep you waiting."
Kicho: "It's okay. Have you never used a brush that much?"
Mai: "Yes. I've been in that kind of environment all my life."
Mai: "If only there was a brush that never ran out of ink, it would be useful in this situation."
Kicho: "You're right. If I had a ballpoint pen right now, I'd lend it to you."
(What?)
My hand stopped after hearing something unexpected.
(What did he just say?)
I was wondering if I should mention it, but before I could, he spoke up.
Kicho: "By the way, Mai."
Mai: "Y-Yes. What is it?"
Kicho: "Shojumaru told me earlier that you were cleaning up."
Kicho: "I already told you that you don't have to do anything today. Why were you wandering around the building?"
Mai: "That's..."
Mai: "I was rude to you earlier. I didn't want you to fire me, so I decided to help."
Kicho: "You already said that earlier. Does it bother you that much?"
Mai: "Yes. If I get kicked out on my first day, I don't know how to face everyone back home."
Mai: "Well, going home might not be the right way to describe it."
Kicho: "..............."
Kicho nodded a little, perhaps satisfied with my response, and started walking down the hallway again.
I took it as a sign that the tour was back on track and followed him.
When we reached the end of the second floor without any particular conversation, he stopped.
Kicho: "The second floor is basically used for guests, document storage, etc."
Kicho: "I'll skip this part since you won't be using it much, but just keep this in mind."
Mai: "Okay. What about this room?"
Kicho: "This is my room. Never enter it for any reason."
With that, he put the key into the door’s keyhole and turned it firmly.
Kicho: "Wait here for a moment."
(So this is his room. There are no guards, but it's always locked.)
(I bet there are tons of important things in there.)
(I'm curious, but I can't get near it.)
Is it because of the lock or my feelings?
The door, supposed to be only one wooden board, looked like a thick iron plate, keeping me away.
I patiently waited as I was told, hearing only small noises, until Kicho came out of the room holding a small wooden box.
Kicho: "Sorry to keep you waiting."
Mai: "No, it's okay. What's that?"
Kicho: "It's called perfume. It's a fragrance you can put on yourself by spraying the liquid inside."
Kicho: "I prepared it as a gift for you."
(Perfume, huh?)
(This must be expensive in this era. So why the hell would he give me this?)
He didn't even comment on my surprised expression as he handed me the box, which I opened at his urging gaze.
Mai: "Oh..."
Immediately, an elegant and distinctive sweet aroma wafted through the air.
Kicho: "It's an item made abroad. In some places, the fragrance is considered part of one's appearance."
Kicho: "It's important to make a good impression, so I always order everyone to wear this when dealing with VIPs."
(It's amazing they made this thing at this time.)
Mai: "Thank you. I appreciate it."
Kicho: "Yeah. Well, this is the end of the tour."
Kicho: "This time, you can rest in your room."
Kicho only said that and walked away in response to the voice of his subordinate who called him.
That evening
After eating my dinner, I returned to my room and lay on the futon.
Mai: *sigh*
Mai: "Finally, it's night."
I didn't know how this day would end, but I'm glad I completed my first day as a spy.
(Meeting Shojumaru and learning about the layout of this place was nice.)
(Although I think Kicho has become even more mysterious.)
------------Flashback------------
Mai: "If only there was a brush that never ran out of ink, it would be useful in this situation."
Kicho: "You're right. If I had a ballpoint pen right now, I'd lend it to you."
---------Flashback Ends---------
(I'm pretty sure I heard him say "ballpoint pen" at that time.)
(But there's no way he could've known that.)
I gently took out the handkerchief I tucked away in my pocket.
I left my bag and other stuff behind to avoid suspicions, but somehow I felt uneasy about that, so I brought this one thing.
Unlike the towels of this era, this handkerchief has a pleasantly fluffy feel to it.
(I probably just imagined it because I was feeling nostalgic.)
Mai: "I need to pull myself together."
I said it aloud to encourage myself and sat up, reaching for the small perfume Kicho gave me.
The slightly cloudy-colored glass bottle with a unique design showed it had crossed a distant sea to get here.
(I feel like I don't fit in here.)
When I took the lid off and lightly dabbed it on my handkerchief一
Clack!
Mai: "-----!"
I opened the door a little to peek at the end of the dimly lit corridor and saw a white cloth with a fuzzy outline fluttering.
(Kicho? What's he doing here at this hour?)
(I might be able to get some information. I need to follow him!)
Mai: "H-Huh?"
I followed Kicho, keeping my distance, as he walked out of the building and toward the town.
(Damn it, I lost him.)
(Anyway, I should go home一Hm?)
(I think I just heard something.)
I listened carefully and heard voices talking from around the corner.
Man's voice 1: "Three Matchlocks. I'll pay you in advance."
Man's voice 2: "Yeah, okay. Then, tomorrow morning."
(Matchlock? Wait, that's a type of gun!)
(So, they're talking about weapons?)
I tried to step toward the voices to listen a little more carefully, but一
???: "Mai."
Mai: "Mhmp!?"

They seriously need to release even more business casual Critical Role merch. I am not kidding when I say that the Fearne duster kimono and Imogen western shirt are STAPLES of my wardrobe. They're so high-quality and not too obvious as fandom merch to the point where I can wear them to work and other such Occasions. Maybe Braius needs a uhhhhhhhhhhhh high-waisted knee-length dress with pockets. Or like a subtle Chetney... turtleneck? Blazer? I don't know but whoever these suppliers are they're incredible
