Like oh my god lmfaoo😭😭 Imagine he's dying in such a dramatic ass way after dream shot him right in the soul with his arrow, dream be freaking out because oh shit he killed colors bf, while dust and horror are just staring at killer making a scene "tell color i love him" until he dies dramatically, then dust just sighs annoyed and is like "come on killer we don't have time for this shit." And killer just respawns like a fucking roblox avatar "ugh you're such a bitch"

When I decided to color these sketches with watercolor I was expecting it to not look good and then I would erase it and repaint with other brushes.

But then boom! It was actually starting to look even professional-like the more I kept coloring. I was surprised because my every attempt at watercolor looked like a 7 year old trying with the school’s shitty art supply.

I found out later it ended up looking great on accident, because before I started coloring, I thought the canvas looked to bland, the sketches didn’t pop out, so I used a technique I learned by watching YouTube Shorts on how to use Procreate to give the canvas a paper-like texture.

Basically I used several texture brushes on a different layer, painting with light desaturated warm colors and occasionally a pinch of strong yellows, browns and oranges. Then duplicated it, set one above the sketch on overlay and one below on really low opacity.

Turns out that does wonders when painting with watercolor, really looks like actual ink on paper with the way it melts and creates extra shades of color.

Also little silly thing I noticed after a while, with the way I colored and textured Dream’s body, it makes him look like a underbaked oily bagel 🥯

I really want to take a bite of him, I’m hungry.

Dream doesn't know rest.

He's been brought back after 494 years right into a war against his brother who is now a multiverse known villain, Dream has emotional development of a literal 6 year old with experience in life FOR ONLY 6 YEARS. IN CANON THE APPLE INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN THEY WERE 6!!! In my headcanon I spread it out to 16 but the canon version adds more to his tragedy. He's under constant pressure to keep everyone happy, pressured to keep his cheerful persona, he's always stressed, there is always something to do, there is always someone in need of help. When he's given rest he can't sit still, he gets nervous because it's weird for him to not be in a never ending rush or actively helping someone. At one moment his and his friends' lives are threatened and later he has to go around and cheer everyone up like nothing's happened and then he has to clean up Nightmare's mess and then he has to pretend to be 100% positive because everyone depends on him and then he has to plan to stop his brother and then actually execute it and again he fights for his life while still holding onto the hope the Nightmare he knew is somehow still in there somewhere and he has to save him too. He doesn't only blame Nightmare or villagers from dreamtale but also himself, so that adds to the stress of feeling like he has to make up for what he didn't do, feeling like he wasn't helpful enough, sure he helped the villagers but what good did it do when he "ignored" his brother and they died in the end?

This also brings in the topic of how the villagers treated him or rather exploited him for his positivity or overally helpful nature. Both him and Nightmare were taught from the very beginning that their own feelings and needs don't matter, they were assigned roles they have to stick to and it's their fault if they crack. As any golden child a lot was and is expected from Dream and as any high achiever the price he has to pay is constant burnout from overworking himself to do better, be better

It would be common for him to start shaking, rattling his bones, fidgeting with his fingers, scratching his arms, I also think he would pick up smoking, he knows it sets a bad example, not like it's any harm to him specifically, but it calms him down so he often smokes when no one's looking. It also links to his endless feeling of being watched, either by the enemy or literally anyone and he's afraid to show any negativity not to break any poor soul's view on him.

All these feelings bottling up inside also give me a feeling he would often get mad at less important stuff or break down at little inconveniences not because it actually botheres him that much but just because he has to let out all that stress somehow so anger issues Dream? Count me in. I can imagine him either starting to scream at Ink or Swap or hyperventilating to the point of almost passing out.

Another point leading from that. He's an emotional hypocrite. He is the type of person to try his best to only show his good side, never cry in front of someone, never be negative, put his feelings aside for the sake of others but he goes around cheering up everyone and telling them they can cry and no one will judge them, that keeping it inside only makes it worse ect.

Also Dream absolutely smokes weed /hj

Imma actually answer that by how each of them show their love for others, and by how they feel loved

I’ll include the ones I can think of off the top of my head

Killer:

Acts of service is how he shows his love for others, it’s all he knew as a machine meant to serve others anyway, it extends to his love and taints it, it’s the only way he knows how to show it without it feeling fake

Quality time is how he feels loved, to be shown that he matters enough for someone to slow down and spend time with him, do activities with him and to make time for him, no matter how little

Color:

Acts of service is how he shows his love, he puts a lot of effort into helping others, actions speak louder than words, and he prefers to show his love through actions

Words of affirmation is how he feels loved, to be told how much he’s loved, to be gently reminded of how important he is and to be appreciated for the effort he puts means a lot to him

Nightmare:

Quality time is how he shows his love for others, Nightmare sees his time as extremely precious and valuable, if he takes time out of his day to spend it with someone, it means he genuinely and truly loves them

Receiving gifts is how he feels loved by others, the thought behind the gift, the fact someone took time of their day only to spend it making something for him, he appreciates it

Dream:

physical touch, he shows how much he loves someone by close contact, hugging, kissing, holding hands, patting their shoulders, rubbing their cheeks, holding someone close, rubbing their back, etc

It’s both how he shows his own love for others and how he feels loved

Swap:

Giving gifts, to take time, effort, cost just to give something no matter how small it is to someone just to see them smile or make their day is the greatest show of love for others to him

Quality time is how he feels loved, to spend time with who he loves most equals the entire world

The way Color was fighting for his life in the Sans Hazard comics is hilarious. Why are they making it so hard for him to protect them 😭

He was the only one with sense too, everyone trying to go their own separate ways and split up.

Also, I found it interesting how Color was able to sense something about to happen, or somehow knew that the ones hunting them knew where they were. Is his intuition and “gut” feelings that good?

Also, more talk about Color being a “dead body.”

Makes me wonder if he did truly die after absorbing the souls and killing the human, but the six souls reanimated him. Wonder if he’s like a zombie. The way it’s said the six souls keep him alive, implying that maybe his own soul doesn’t keep him alive? Or he doesn’t have his own soul.

And then of course him absolutely beating Killer and Cross’ asses. That’s what six human souls get you I guess.
