Charlie Weasley has just about the sexiest hands Draco has ever seen.

“He wears dragon hide wrist wraps,” Draco says, frowning into his drink. “I don't like it. I don't like it at all. It’s having a negative impact on my output.”

“Just about the sexiest?��� Harry asks him, because of course he’s focusing on that. “I hope that means you think I have the sexiest.” He tries to steal a chip from Draco’s plate. Draco bats his hand away.

Around them, the tiny village pub is bustling. A scruffy dog sits between a couple of old men at the bar. A group of university students laugh and drink pints around the largest table by the windows.

“Harry,” Draco says irritably. “I spent half of last night with your fingers in my mouth, what do you think the answer to that question is?”

Coffeedragon's December 2022 Prompt List

I decided to put this together on a whim with very little thought dedicated to the actual writing process, but now that I've invested time and effort into the banner, I might as well commit to the madness wholeheartedly and without backtracking.

This may be an unconventional (and unpopular?) approach, but since some of my best works were written this way, I'm going to go out on a limb here and boldly say that this works for me. Also, I desperately need some form of structure, so why the heck not.

Below is a poster with 25 prompts which I'll aim to complete during the month of December. A lot of them are Christmas related, but some are more wintery in nature, which is why the list is neither solely Christmas-themed nor solely winter-themed. I guess, I wanted the best of both worlds.

I would love to take requests for gifts so if any prompt catches your eye, send me an ask, and I'll see what I can do for you.

As I'm currently in the middle of writing the long-awaited third (and final) installment of my LPK-verse, the aim is to keep these prompt fics short(ish) and sweet, though my idea of short apparently differs wildly from that of most people. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm mostly looking to write Drarry because I feel like I need something familiar, but if the mood strikes, I might throw in a couple of my other fave pairings such as Harry/Teddy, Harry/Charlie, Draco/Teddy, Draco/Charlie, and Jeddy. I'm not opposed to doing Lamen (Captive Prince) either, but we shall see. I'd rather just focus on my favourite two squabbling idiots in love.

Finally, if you'd like to use one or more of the below prompts to create a work of your own, have at it. I'm not hogging these, the more the merrier.

Ron following Harry’s line of sight and screaming “NO. NO. FUCK NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.”

Harry and the twins platonically flirting in the most obnoxious ways imaginable.

Harry showing up to breakfast in the Great Hall late with a different twins sweater on, looking debauched. One or even both the twins give him a salacious once over. Ron wants to sink into the floor and die.

Ron eventually gets used to this but absolutely loses it when the rest of his brothers send him their sweaters and flirt with him at the Burrow.

The Weasley boys sending flirty howlers to Harry just to send Ron spiraling.

Ron being so relieved when Harry dates literally anyone who isn’t one of his older brothers.

Hmm, Harry/Bill is a ship that actually never occurred to me. A friend of mine is a Bill fan so I've come across a ship or two involving him but so far none ever convinced me more than him and Fleur. I just have a soft spot for them. Although I would love to read a well-written Severus/Bill someday; there's just something about Severus and the Weasleys that I like... And Harry... Tbh, apart from my OTP I'm pretty content with whom the characters ended up in canon, I love him and Ginny. 😂 Still, thinking about Harry and Bill a bit closer I can see something special happening between them. Harry always had this look of admiration for Bill in the books, he was definitely fascinated by how wild and complacent Bill was. I think they could be intriguing given the right plot so I would give them a gentle C+. 😆

Charlie and Draco... Oh, boy. Okay, so, my strongest Charlie headcanon is that he is aroace. 😆 Not even the bitch herself paired him up with anyone, it was always just him and the dragons. And that's the point where it gets interesting because who in the books is a dragon if not Draco? 👀 I'm really not a fan of Draco (mainly because of what the fandom made of him) but if I would break with my strongest Charlie headcanon it would be for that ship. There's so much potential for drama and angst between these two, for Draco to fall in love with a blood traitor of all things and Charlie to fall in love for the first time ever, both of them being torn between their families and what they would think about it, not only because of who they are but because of the age gap. Stolen nights in the Dragon Sanctuary, hushed whispers, hidden away in the darkness... Ugh, I can absolutely see that, straight A for me. 😅

So, I'll go, fend off some plotbunnies now, don't mind me... 🙈

Charlie wanted Harry, but he’d never planned on having him. He’d never planned on Draco Malfoy, either. He hadn’t planned on anything but living out his days in Romania, with his friends and his dragons and his safe, peaceful distance. Apparently, it wasn’t a very popular plan. This is a story about crumbs and flickers and roots, running away and coming home; about falling in love without meaning to (twice), and having truly good friends, and the mutually revealing recognition between two people in love with the same man.

I love Drarry, but I'm a sucker for poly ships, too, so when I started bookbinding, I knew it wouldn't be long before I bound Licurici.

Fast forward a few months and my library started offering paperback binding workshops. I thought to myself, this is the perfect fic to test the max page limit of their equipment. (And boy did it ever!)

Little did I recall just how smutty some of the scenes were, and I cackled to myself in the corner as I made the typeset, thinking of the Makerspace employee who'd end up printing my porn E-rated fic.

Speaking of typeset: I kept mine simple, as the library only prints the text blocks in black and white. I did have had an idea, though, for full-colour section pages, so I printed those at home and swapped them out on bind day.

As for the cover, immediately my brain went to the Challengers film poster. I pinged the Drarry Discord server I'm in to ask if there were any artists who wanted to make some cover art in exchange for a copy of the bind. @saijordison answered my call - and my goodness if it isn't the most beautiful piece of art I've ever bloody seen.

I'm really happy with how these turned out. And collaborating with @saijordison on this was such a positive experience, we have plans to do it again in the future.
