This is Khui AKA Khoui, and his pupper, Iupu AKA Menioupu.

Khui loved Iupu so much, he had himself painted with him on his coffin, to ensure they'd be together throughout eternity. It's obvious the artist was far more attentive to Iupu's portrait, making sure the markings were exactly right, than what he gave Khui's!

I wonder if they are Patrice and her lovely human dad in another, 'earlier' life.
