ugh i have to write myself vacay eating rules otherwise I'll just keep binging:
track calories
goal 1500 or less, def not over 2000
goal 10k+ steps a day
eat gum when you feel like having a dumb snack
only eat what you can reasonably estimate the amount and calories of
DO NOT eat any more than necessary "because it's vacation" or a "special occasion"
ffs don't lose control. always choose the lesser calorie option/skipping extra food.

PSA! Potassium is so important for your heart. I was having trouble getting enough in my diet, but I found these low sodium cans of V8 have 600 mg of potassium and only 30 calories! 🩷

DIET Survival kit: Car Edition
Here is what I got together so far, just stuff I had around the house. Prepping this to save me from hitting a drive thru and creating sanity for myself if I need flavor and am outside the house. I normally do take a to go tea or coffee, which I have been enjoying, but I have run out of beverage. And when there is so much temptation out there- save money, save calories.
-Cute bag to fit in my middle console
-Protein- Tuna and beef
- pre workout packs, LMNT electrolytes, cold brew tea, flavored benefiber, Nuun tablets, drink mixes.
Feel free to share any other ideas 💡😊
This is just some stuff I grabbed that was lying around the house. Easily mixable in a bottle of water or shaker bottle.

What do if you overeat/binge
Note: I am not a professional, these are just some things that have helped me when I overeat. I do not have an ed, but if you do, then please please visit a professional dietitian/therapist/etc. If you can’t afford one, then check out more healthy eating content on social media uploaded by actual professionals.
What NOT to do:
Don’t starve yourself. This is dangerous! Do not say “I’m not gonna have anything for an entire day because I overate in lunch” etc. Starvation is not the way, it only makes you feel deprived and all you’re gonna do is, overeat again. I do not care if you binged on a whole ass cake or 5 plates of mac n cheese. Do not starve yourself.
Don’t punish yourself through exercise. All you are going to do is throw up and develop an unhealthy relationship with workout because you’re only using it to ‘punish’ yourself. There is no point in going for an hour workout or 2 hour run, literally no point. You’re not helping your body, you’re hurting it.
Don’t Panic or shame yourself. Words and thoughts have an impact - don’t do it. A deep breath in and out.
What to actually do:
Take a deep breath in and let go. Once you’ve binged or overeaten, there’s no going back. What’s done is done. The future is more important. Doesn’t matter if you had an episode two minutes ago or an hour ago, it’s in the past. We do not panic over our past actions, we learn from it.
Find our your why/ What triggered u?
Are you overeating because you’re not getting enough nutrients like fiber and protein?
Or are you eating while being distracted by your phone?
Are you eating out of hunger or boredom?
Are you stress/emotional eating?
Eating because of undealt trauma?
Are you eating because it’s a childhood habit to?
Drink cold water. Seriously. This helps so so much, especially if you overeat on sweets or greasy foods. Just the feeling of cold water not only make you more aware but also help with the grease in your mouth.
Brush Teeth/Mouth Wash. This obv gets rid of the food residue in your mouth and makes you feel fresh again. You probably won’t feel like eating again because you’ve just brushed your teeth.
Take a shower. This is so so helpful especially if you’re someone who tends to either panic or depress over the amount you’ve eaten. A cold shower is especially beneficial since it makes you feel fresh, gets your mind off and removes any ‘sticky’ feeling you may have after eating too much.
Wait at least 4-5 hours to have your next meal. You can still eat, just make sure that this time around your food is more nutritious and is a healthy serving. If you’re having a pasta, add vegies to it. Or eat a salad, but make it filling by using plenty of veggies and protein. Make a air fried or oven fried fries. Literally anything but make sure it’s an appropriate serving - not too small but not too large either.
Go for a 10 min walk rather than a 2 hour workout. Put on some music, Rihanna or whatever makes you feel like a bad bitch. This time use exercise as a way to de-stress and help digestion, not to punish yourself. Do not tell yourself that you need to do it. Tell yourself that you’re doing it because it’s fun, because you’re going to have fun.

Binge eating tip
I craved a burger so I started watching Mukbangs of people eating burgers, and instead of satisfying my craving, I ended up feeling super grossed out.
Like, suddenly I'm hyper-aware of all these little details: the stickiness of licking your fingers after fries, the way sauce drips down the side of your mouth, the way burger fillings squish and slide out, the hravy breathing, the lip smacking sound...ugh. It was overwhelming and add to it if the person is fat?!
It made me realize something about myself: when I eat, aside from enjoying the taste, I’m not really present with the sensory experience. I just consume, barely noticing the physical details. That’s probably why I often feel like I’m still craving something—I’m not fully grounded in the act of eating, and I eat super quickly.
But watching someone else eat? That forced me to analyze it. And now I’m rethinking everything about how I interact with food and you start to see how actually unappetizing it may be.

Make a habit of portioning and logging food before eating.
It will prevent binging on the tasty things. I've gone 3 weeks without overeating anything, and I tend to keep stuffing my face with good stuff whether it's carrot sticks or cookies.
Fill your hand/paper towel/plates, and walk away! Put all the food stuff away completely and remove yourself from that kitchen.
Don't set yourself up for failure!
And for god's sake use a scale!

Chia Water Appreciate Post ✨
Wow y’all .. let me tell you, chia water has kept the nommies away for 6 hours now. Not even an urge to eat. So ima post you a recipe below for it-
Chia Water - 1 Serving
1 tbs Chia Seeds - 30
1 Glass of Water
1/2 tbs Lemon Juice - 5
1 tbs of no calorie sweetener - 0
(Although I use agave nectar, adds about 30 cals)
Directions:
Mix chia seeds in water but use a jar with a lid (or if you don’t have a lid, a tall glass that you can crazily stir with a whisk something) it’s important to shake it on and off for about 10 minutes to let the seeds spread out in the water
After ten minutes, add your lemon juice and sweetener.
Serve and Enjoy!
Literally a life saver, helps you go #2 (which I know y’all need help), and super filling. Kinda taste like healthy bubble tea 😍
See you later ✨

Okay, I’ve always heard it doesn’t matter what time you eat during the day as long as you stay in your calorie limit you’ll lose weight. However, when I eat the same amount of calories but later in the day my weight loss is soooo slow vs if I stop eating at 6pm. I can even eat high restriction (1400 calories) and lose .5-1lb per day if I stop eating early. I could eat low restriction and I’ll hardly lose for weeks if I eat my calories at night. I do not understand. I thought it was just calories in calories out??
