[bits & bobs] my body’s craving (so feed the hungry)
Very, extremely E-rated under the cut. You’ve been warned
00000
The dance floor is a mess of bodies but Davey manages to carve himself a space amongst the masses, letting himself rock and sway with the thumping bass pounding through the speakers. Tomorrow’s the full moon and naturally the club is packed—every shifter, siren, and sea creature in the city amped up and raring to go as the lunar cycle pulls at them.
It’s almost impossible to not bump into anyone; there are drifting, curious hands, knuckles that drag across his bare arms, a few flirty glances, but Davey ignores them all. Anyone stupid enough to overlook the bite mark that peeks out from under the lace of his collar, the way he all but reeks of werewolf, deserves what’s coming to them.
He lets his head fall back, raising his arms just enough that his shirt rides up slightly, exposing a sliver of skin between it and the waist of his leather pants, and this time when he feels a pair of eyes land on him, he knows without looking that these are the eyes he wants.
Davey gives it a moment, then glances over his shoulder. He can just make them out over the crowd: Sean’s nursing his whiskey, Tony’s wrapped up in Sean’s coat, and Jack’s leaning against the bar, watching him.
When their eyes meet, Jack’s gaze goes sharp, hungry, the predator within staring back at him. Davey winks, blows a kiss, and keeps on dancing.
He doesn’t see Jack put down his drink and abandon his spot at the bar, doesn’t see him approach, but he recognizes the heat of him when he steps up behind him, feels familiar arms wrapping around his waist. Davey hums to himself, pleased, leaning into the embrace.
…..
“Jesus, Jack,” Davey groans when Jack releases his lower lip from between his teeth—from between his fangs, Davey mentally corrects, noting the change with a quiet thrill. “I thought you didn’t want to dance?”
Jack’s hands slip lower, one digging into his hip, the other splaying wide and possessive over the small of Davey’s back. “Changed my mind.”
“Oh?” Davey murmurs, curling his fingers through Jack’s belt loops to draw him closer even as their hips continue to sway to the beat. “And why’s that, I wonder?”
“One’a life’s great mysteries,” Jack says, leaning in to kiss along Davey’s jaw. “Why would I want an armful of the prettiest guy in the room? The world may never know.”
“You think I’m pretty?” Davey asks, pitching his voice to something soft and sultry, batting his lashes just so.
Jack’s eyes narrow, his grip around Davey’s hips tightening that much more.
“You’re a menace,” he growls, and god, he’s so easy to rile this close to the full moon. Davey has to bite his lip to keep himself from smirking. “Don’t think I don’t know exactly what you’re doin’.”
“So, you don’t think I’m pretty?” Davey pouts.
Jack tilts his head and catches Davey’s mouth in another kiss, deep and dominating.
“I think,” he says against Davey’s still-parted lips, his voice low and rough, “that you’re the most gorgeous creature on the face of this Earth. An’ I think you’re gonna regret teasin’ me like this when we get home.”
“And I think,” Davey replies, a little breathlessly, looping his arms around Jack’s neck and bringing their foreheads together, “that isn’t as much of a threat as you probably think it is.”
…..
Jack’s lips drag against his skin, a hint of teeth scrape against his collarbone, his voice a gravely rasp that cuts through the music and sends a thrum of heat down his spine.
“We’re leaving.”
…..
Davey scrabbles at the uneven wall of the alley, widening his stance as Jack presses himself along his back.
“Jack,” he tries, but breaks off with a gasp as Jack unceremoniously sticks his hand down the front of his pants and wraps a hot hand around his dick.
“No underwear?” Jack asks in that same rough snarl, working him slowly. “Naughty boy.”
“You fucking saw me get dressed, you knew I wasn’t—” Davey hisses as Jack’s thumb flicks over the head of his cock. “Fuck,” he bites out.
He wriggles in Jack’s hold, not sure if he’s trying to grind back against where Jack’s hard and heavy against the cleft of his ass or buck up into the tight clench of his fist, and finds Jack’s palm between his shoulder blades, pushing him forward until he’s pinned against the bricks.
“Jack,” he breathes, hot and aching and overwhelmed. “Someone’s could walk out, someone could see us—”
“Should’a thought about that before you ran that smart mouth’a yours,” Jack says, and he sounds wild, fierce and feral.
The hand pressed against Davey’s back creeps up to curl around the nape of his neck. The pressure of it is enough to make Davey’s eye cross and his knees go weak, a strangled moan caught in his throat.
“Fuck, Jack, please—”
“I told you,” Jack grunts, and Davey can hear the Wolf in him, prowling just beneath the surface, “that you’d regret playin’ games with me, David.”

i'm bored, , so here's what i think of each lost boy
i'm gonna do this one vamp at a time so i don't get overwhelmed, starting off with this mullet king
Tumblr media
david
• he's a self - proclaimed leader
since he's the first turned and seemingly the most mature one, as each boy joined the gang, he took it upon himself to look after everyone. cause he cared for them ? that could be a factor, but also cause of his controlling nature
• he loves to read
david seems like he secretly loves to read, and im talking about newspapers, too. he even has reading glasses. and i would know this cause i am the glasses. anyway, as far as genres, maybe horror, mystery, and throw in a little romance from time to time
• he is the most possessive of his belongings
this man does NOT share. and he will be mad if he catches anybody besides him with his stuff
• he is the smartest
okay so i'm not calling the others stupid, vampires in general are intelligent beings. i'm just saying david is extremely smart, but this is also what makes him very, very good at manipulation. a master manipulator, if you will. and it's not just with the mind games he can play, with his words, his expressions. he knows exactly what to do or say to get you
• anger issues
something tells me if he's not the one who comes up and speaks to you first, don't even try. he would probably just ignore you or tell you to go away. this is probably something he picked up from his father (not max), and i don't necessarily think it's shown in the movie, just from his energy, makes me think that
• not the biggest fan of sweets
i keep switching from serious to silly things, but that's just how i roll, anywayy. he doesn't hate sweets or candy, just could live without them. he hates the stomach ache you can get after, and probably how sugary they are. the only sweet i think he can handle is cookies, more specifically snickerdoodles
• david has the highest level of maturity
i've actually read about this on here, i can't remember the person's user, but i just remember how they talked of how he dresses and how he talks, and i have to say i agree. he does indeed dress and talk completely different from his three vampire bros. this also makes me think that david is definitely an old soul and he was probably forced to grow up instead of having the freedom of being a wild and care-free child
• black and red are his favorite colors
more specifically darker shades of red, he hates bright colors. probably would complain it's hurting his poor eyes and he's going blind
• cares about his health.. a lot
there's absolutely nothing wrong with caring about your health. although the man's main diet is bl0od, clearly they can still eat human food. he eats junk food still and is definitely always down for some pasta or a good burger, but he tries to maintain a healthy way of eating. maybe he tried encouraging the other boys to do so, but gave up cause he was getting no where
• keeps things clean
if he sees a mess, he cleans it. or gets one of the others to clean it cause they caused it. the cave is definitely organized, and that was probably thanks to David. cause you can see during any cave scene how it's an organized mess
• his favorite food is pasta
already mentioned this briefly, but please he would fck up olive garden. i just know they would hate to see him coming
• despises loud noises
this includes the TV being too loud, loud crunching, any kind of beeping and so on. it pisses him off
• stupid nicknames
can't stand them. the other boys definitely have silly nicknames for him like 'pookie' and 'davey' and so on, and he wants to curl up every time
• early birdy
as soon as the sun sets, david is the first to wake up. mainly cause he loves night time. even before he was turned, he was always a night owl. he probably snuck out into a field near his childhood house a few times
• writing
there's really no doubt in my mind that david loves to write. he has many journals stored away cause he considers them personal. he has such a high guard up that whenever somethings wrong, he turns to paper and pen. he also has the most beautiful handwriting out of all of them
☆ what he could've been
i feel like if david was never turned, he would've wanted to be in a major career. he would've been an excellent psychologist. he would've wanted to start his own family, and have kids, probably out in the west.
he misses this at times, the chances and hopes that he lost, but despite that, i actually think he loves being a vampire. he loves the chase, the thrill of it all. he loves doing whatever he wants, whenever he pleases
one last thing, this man loves music. all 4 of them do, really. i feel like he'd listen to anything that isn't rap or pop. he also listens to country but doesn't let the other boys know that, they'd probably never let him live it down
Tumblr media
let me know what you think ! whether you agree or disagree, i'm open-minded
i love david, honestly. i know he wouldn't love me back, cause I mean, have we watched the same movie ? but he's still my pookie bear

What Your Fave Redacted Character Says About You
Davey - You value a lot of things in a man: the most important being his ability to snap you in half.
Asher - You are the annoying younger sibling who is completely aware of exactly how much they can get away with via years of experience.
Milo - When people ask you what your hobbies are you say “reading” but the silent part of that answer is “fanfiction”
Vincent - I could go on for hours about all the parasocial relationships you’ve had in your life.
Sam - You’re rapidly running out of things other than yourself to blame for your problems, and honestly, it’s just a cry for help at this point.
Lasko - The people in your life have learned not to use the turn of phrase, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Because you will immediately launch into a 20 minute PowerPoint presentation with cited sources on exactly everything that could possibly go wrong.
Damien - Your parents were PTA terrorists. They were planning your bid for student council president while you were still in the womb.
Hux - For the people who think other people are always flirting with them or buttering them up, but they’re honestly just being nice and you never really learned how appropriately reciprocate that because life has taught you that everyone is always after something.
Gavin - God gave you depression and anxiety because if he didn’t, you’d be competing for his job
Avior - You’re either a burned out “gifted kid” or you only just got diagnosed with ADHD in your mid 20s. No in between.
Vega - Dear god do you love to be stepped on
Blake - You can not fix him. YOU CAN NOT FIX HIM.
Elliott - The ultimate fantasy of every demi-sexual out there.
Aaron - Depends: if you’re a straight woman, this is just everyone’s daddy fantasy. Otherwise, you’re a white gay guy. Only they would see a 1-to-1 recreation of their bully and go, “That is my husband.”
Ivan - I’m not saying you’re scary when you’re mad, I’m just saying the Venn diagram of people who have crossed you and the people you never hear from again is a circle
James - Admit it, you find degradation just a little bit hot. Just give in and go for it, it’ll be cathartic, trust me.
Anton - Literally that meme of “Thank you for changing my life.” “I’m literally a white man from Arizona mumbling and mouth-breathing into a mic.”
Geordi - “Patience of a saint” and “persistence of a rock” do not even begin to describe you. We have had nothing but radio silence from this man for 7 months.
Regulus - You just want someone to end your existence without actually killing you and honestly, valid take.
Guy - Your insecurities might scream at every person you meet, but not if you scream louder
Ollie - Your life moves from one disaster to the next and you are desperate for a shred of stability, which is probably why you’re listening to boyfriend role-play.
Morgan - There are two kinds of people in this fandom: Those who know what “19 months” means, and those who don’t.

Annoying: John Marston X Male Reader
Tumblr media
Fictober Prompt: Day 3, Hate Sex Pronouns: he/him, Reader referred to as ‘man’ Physical Sex: AMAB Rating: E/Smut Warnings: Hate sex, anal fingering, anal sex, prostate massage, dirty talk, teasing, mentions of John’s situation with Abigail and Jack, Reader is an asshole, pre-Blackwater, violence, punching Summary: You’ve been sent on a scouting excursion with John to find a good spot closer to Blackwater, John is annoying through the whole ride.
It has been two hours. Walking along a barren trail with your tired horse and listening to the endless and constant complaining of John Marston. The man is undoubtedly irritating, wholly annoying. But Dutch picked you for scouting, so you to try to tune out that stupid scratch in his voice and focus on looking for a new spot closer to Blackwater.
“I just don’t get what her deal is.” John continues.
You feel the distinct desire to bash your head against your saddle horn. Maybe that would end this insufferable ride. Why couldn’t Dutch have picked Javier or Charles or someone quiet? At least Micah talks about interesting things on occasion. Bill can crack a joke. None of them have this apparent need to vent whilst riding.
“She just doesn’t-”
“Marston.” You groan. “Shut up, for the love of life itself. Just be quiet for once.”
“Oh, are my problems annoying you?”
“Yes, jeez, just shut it.”
He huffs, looking away to pout like a child.
“No one wants to hear about you and Abigail, the whole camp already has to listen to you go on and on about how the kid isn’t yours. No one cares.”
“Fuck off.” He mutters.
“I wish I could.”
There is a blissful minute of silence before he opens his mouth again. “You think he’s mine?”
“Fuck, Marston.” You sigh. “I have no clue, just shut the hell up.”
“He ain’t.” He mumbles. “Can’t be.”
“You won’t have to worry about it if you keep talking, because I’ll shoot you.”
“Why’re you always so damn irritable?”
“Because you annoy me to no end, Marston.”
You pull on your reins to move towards a clearing that looks promising, only slightly visible from the narrow path between trees. Finally sliding off your horse, you stretch your legs a little and look over the spot.
“How do I annoy you exactly?”
You rub at your eyes, feeling the ache forming behind them from having to listen to his voice. “In every possible way you could ever imagine.”
“You’re an asshole, you know that?”
“I’m not the one bothering other people with my problems.”
“At least I find the time to bring money in instead of lounging around camp all damn day!”
That, now that, brings a twinge of much more than annoyance to buzz around in your head. Not only have you been bringing in consistent money since you joined, you just pulled a job with Mac and Davey that scored the camp funds upwards of eight-hundred dollars. So, naturally, you punch John in the face for suggesting otherwise.
“Shit.” He mutters, recoiling and tackling you to the ground.
You roll for a while, exchanging punches and losing your hats along the way until you find yourself atop John. You sit across his thin torso, your fist curled into his shirt as the other stands ready to lay another blow. But, John, he goes still, as if he’s afraid to move. For all the scrapping and talk, you know you’re not scary enough to make him freeze like this so you lower your raised fist and look over your shoulder. You half expect to see lawmen or O’Driscolls or something, but it’s just the forest and the horses grazing by the trees.
“What’s your problem, Marston?” You ask, shifting slightly on him.
Then you feel it, barely brushing against the back of your thigh as you move. John Marston is hard in his pants from being beaten up by a man that hates him. His face flushes and he claws at your arm, but you just push him down harder into the grass. Your mind races for a moment, thinking of the roads you could take. You hate the man quite a bit, but you’d be a fool to deny he’s attractive and something in the back of your mind is begging you to find out what that raspy voice sounds like when it’s full of want.
“We tell no one.” You mutter, giving John a threatening look.
John’s chest moves slow as he processes, then he nods quickly. You lean down and connect your lips, catching the taste of tobacco and the scruff of his stubble. John’s hands find your hips, urging you down to grind against you but you resist.
“You’re not in charge here, Marston.” You murmur against his lips. “You just lay still and let me use you, understand?”
His eyes dart around yours quickly as his face gets redder by the second. “Y-Yeah.”
You move down to unfasten his pants and as he kicks them off, you fish a tube of gun oil from your pocket. It has always been a suspicion of yours that John gets around more than he lets on, and it is all but confirmed by the way he stuffs his pants under his hips and spreads his legs.
“You some kind of whore on the side, Marston?” You ask, fixing yourself between his open legs. “That why you got on with Abigail, a shared profession?”
“Shut up.” He mutters.
He intends to say more but you cut him off easily by inserting your slicked fingers without warning. His back arches, pressing into the feeling as he chokes on a bit of air that turns into a whimper. You’re not going to give him the time to rest or adjust, he doesn’t deserve it after talking all day. So you crook your fingers, running them along until his hips jolt from the contact. Then you focus and focus hard, pressing into that nice sensitive spot inside of him until he can’t even speak to warn you. He releases across his stomach, his softening dick untouched.
His head lulls to the side as he catches his breath and you slip your fingers out. You move as fast as you can, not wanting to hear any of his protests about being sensitive. He’d whine about it, you know he would, so you grip his hips and press inside in the midst of his recovery. John chokes on air again, muttering as he covers his red face with his arm. Only one eye peaks out at you as you start your pace and you ignore it, focusing on the act rather than the who. If you don’t think about it being John, the image of your dick disappearing inside such a nice ass and the feeling of gripping such a slim waist make you groan to yourself. If it were any other man, you’d praise him for feeling so good.
John, however, does not have that control. “God, you’re… fuck you’re good.”
It’s the moan that gets you, raspy just like you imagined, and completely wanton. You double your effort because that sound was so good for something that came from John of all people. And, to your delight, it happens again. As you slam into him, your balls bouncing enough to truly earn the nickname, John begins to pant. Your eyes are drawn to his dick as he reaches for it and stops it from slapping against his stomach. His hand wraps around and pumps in time with you.
You lean down a bit, enough to speak over John’s lewd noises. “You better get yourself off before me, Marston. I’m not helping you otherwise.”
He groans, seemingly all too happy to be treated like nothing but something to fuck in the grass of the gang’s next camp spot. You watch his hand, your eyes flicking down to watch your own fucking on occasion. Both are such a sight. John cums again, spilling a little on his hand this time. The sound he makes, such a shaky and raspy guttural moan, hits the right things for you and sends you right over. You slow your thrusts, milking yourself before burying deep inside of him.
It takes a few minutes before your muscles respond and you can pull out to rest back on your knees. John still has a haze in his eyes, his arms splayed out as his chest heaves. You let yourself relish the sight, forgetting only for a moment that you hate him, then you pick up the tube of gun oil from the grass and pull on your pants. A one time thing, albeit a great one, with such an annoying man.

The worst thing about being sick as an adult, David decides, is having to take care of yourself.
It was easy helping out his parents when Les or Sarah were sick as kids, but when it comes to himself—he knows exactly what to do but can find neither the energy nor the motivation to get it done.
So instead he curls himself beneath the largest comforter he owns and sets a glass of water on his nightstand.
Jack arrives at his apartment exactly fifteen minutes from the time David sends the Hey, won’t be able to hang tonight. Pretty sure I’ve got the stomach flu, text.
“What if I had been lying?” David groggily asks while Jack sets the various products around him. Packs of peppermint tea, pedialyte, saltine crackers. “Faking being sick just so I wouldn’t have to deal with you.”
“You’re not really the lying type,” Jack replies, setting a teabag into a cup of steaming water.
A wave of nausea rolls through David, and he groans in discomfort. “I could be. I contain multitudes, bitch.”
“I need you to contain this pedialyte. Now, sit up,” Jack orders, holding a hand to David’s chest when he shoots up too quickly. “Not too fast!” Jack chides. “You’re gonna make yourself sick again.”
David’s checked himself for fever. He doesn’t have one, but the spot on his chest where Jack’s hand was still runs warm.
Gently, Jack tips the edge of the bottle into David’s mouth—one hand on the drink and the other at the small of David’s back. Jack’s hand climbs upward, slowly guiding David back down.
“How’d you get so good at this?” David croaks, feeling relief from dehydration.
“Practiced on myself long enough.” He shrugs, blowing steam off of the tea. “Taking care of someone else is easy after that.” David wholeheartedly agrees until Jack adds, “Specially someone like you.”
David sighs. “What are you doing here, Jack? Surely you’ve got better things to do on Valentine’s Day than nurse me.”
“Aren’t you supposed to spend it with people you love?”
David’s face burns red at the comment, and he pulls the sheets tighter over his body. “You can’t just—say things like that.”
“Pretty sure I just did.”
“You’re insufferable,” David grumbles, unsure why Jack can’t just let him be miserable. Jack perches himself on David’s bed in response, settling in next to him. The warmth is appreciated, but it’s a stupid idea, for so many reasons. “What are you doing!? You’re going to get yourself sick!”
“I know. And I’m perfectly fine with that. But you shouldn’t be alone right now.”
“I hate you.” David hates Jack for all the right reasons. He hates Jack for bulldozing his way into David’s life and igniting a fire David had given up on starting. He hates Jack for the easy way he floats through life, and the utter delight he brings David.
He hates him for giving Davey no other choice except to love him.
“No you don’t,” Jack replies, and David can hear the shit eating grin in his voice as his eyes flutter closed.
David is most definitely going to get Jack sick.
When it comes his turn, he’ll pay Jack back in kind.

MY EDGE OF SLEEP THOUGHTS
Usually I don't really do review posts, but I figured I should here since we need to get the word out more and I have things to s a y -
And yeah i know it technically already made it top 10...but it's going down again...sooo.....chop chop we gotta punch judge judy in the face again :]
SPOILER WARNING BELOW, OF COURSE, FOR BOTH THE TEOS SHOW A N D ORGINAL PODCAST, SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
Mainly this is gonna be talking about all the changes they made in the story and my thoughts on them, comparing the podcast to the show, but most of them are actually pretty positive! So, with that said, let's start with one of the biggest changes, that being:
The Maniac: So I know some people are kinda on the fence bout this, but me personally I don't mind that they cut out The Maniac! I get some people liked how their was a bit of a threat at the hospital while they were trying to figure things out, and Dave having the big risk of loosing his balls (tho i love the reference they did with the radio that was great XD), but...I kinda think that went against the point of this apocalypse, of it being a literal silent killer and not being like how the end of the world is seen in movies of chaos and violence, so having the Maniac out gave the group more time to process the situation at hand. That and how it allowed them to talk more and really show the character connections, like the talk Katie and Dave had after he recalled when he carved the triangle on his chest (more on that later)! And sides, least to me, I always kinda thought the Maniac was...a liiiitle tacked on? Like, with the story always kinda relating to Dave and his nightmares, having the Maniac just be some, well, crazy fucked up guy kinda felt outta place. Like maaaaybe they could've related him directly to being on the elephant's side (the sticker on his van doesn't count, that was just foreshadowing), like he was an elephant follower and he was following Dave even before shit went down, but with him just being some guy doing fucked up things, felt just like a tacked on extra threat. (Also I always kinda found it a little unlikely Dave was so easily able to go on and do a buncha other stuff after being literally shot, but eeeh is fiiine i guess-) With that said though, with the Maniac's absence, it does lead me tooooo
Ruth: I actually really liked Ruth's addition a lot! Was refreshing to see one other person in the survivor group, even if you know from the get-go she probably wasn't gonna make it, but that's good for the story! To show us another person's perspective whose out of the loop, how everyone else around her is struggling to keep it a secret, and how she took the place of the Maniac's for the MRI scan was much more impactful, having more weight to the situation since she was innocent and just found out when she sleeps, she dies, and seeing how hard of was on Linda to do, just mwuah amazing acting all around, but again more on that later-
The Dream People: Another change that I actually like, and even prefer! Tbh in the podcast I kinda felt like the whale people/dream warriors were...kinda vauge on what exactly they are? I know they were probably gonna explain that more in Season 2, but i feel like they didn't really...explain enough? Like they were just some higher people/power, nearing a deus-ex-machina, the old man and his son (forgot their names sorry) kinda broke up the story for me whenever we cut back to them (tho i do love the cigarette bit between him and Dave, sad that didn't make it into the show), and i was fine with that but eeeh coulda been handled a little better, and it was in the show! I like it a lot better that little Davey was always dreaming about them alongside the nightmares, since to Dave (and to the viewers seeing this story for the first time) he wasn't really sure on who or what to trust, which only adds more to the mystery of it all! I also like how their home base is more clear and giving slight cult vibes, but hopefully with good intentions (again we'll see in Season 2), so looking forward to learning more about them, even if this time I'm a bit more satisfied on how they're presented!
Mateo: HE LIVED!!! :DD I was actually really suprised that Mateo survived the plane crash! And I don't think i mind that too much, tho i kinda prefer the podcast ver a liiitle more since it added a bit more to the hopelessness of the situation that literally half of the party was dead, but eh more people living the better! Plus I do think Mateo was pretty fun in the show, I liked him and Dave's friendship a lot, especially with him being with Dave when shit went down at the party rather then going home to play video games pantsless, and i liked how we saw him stand up for Dave for being weird, true bros (i also really like the hug Dave gave him when he agreed to fly for them, that was really nice), so I'm sure there's more of him to explore with his veteran background and stuff, so can't wait to see more of him for Season 2! ....maybe then he won't be so lucky oh god- :'D
The Moobles: So probably, like others, the moment I heard that TEOS was gonna get a TV show, there was one scene on particular that I immediately thought of that I was excited to actually see, and that was the fucking Moobles scene- So was I disappointed that we didn't exactly get that scene? ...Yeah, a little bit, but I do understand why we didn't get it, and what we got instead still served the same purpose well! For one, I'd understand why that scene would be a lot for a +14 rated show, even if there is some pretty good gore throughout the series, bit i get multiple self-stabbings can kinda cross the line, but another reason is...I just don't think they had the budget for it. Like- How would they do the Moobles? CGI? Puppets? Either way I'd love to see it, but I knew it'd be pretty pricey, so I get why the Moobles had to be cut, wish they least had a small reference like the Maniac did (maybe the Moobles playing on TV somewhere or a display case showing the "toy" would be cool), but hey, if we can only experience that horrifying scene in podcast form, well, I wouldn't mind at all! Still fucking horrific in sound form and I love it :'D And sides, I actually prefer the new change for Dave's scar this time around! Tho I like the viciousness of having slash marks all over his chest, i think the single triangle scar fits much more with the stories and is great forshadowing of what's to come, giving a more concrete, direct link between what Dave has gone/going through and the killing sleep going on rather than just the warning the Whale gave him before shit went down! And the scene of him cutting in the injury was still pretty unsettling even if not downright horrific like Moobles-
The Clock: The clock was....n e w - I do like the visual of it tho, since at first it seemed like it stopped and ticked back each time a person fell asleep, but i do wonder...why is that? Is time literally going back each time a person dies? Or is it symbolic of just someone's time being up? If that's the case, then why does sometimes it ticks back a single tick, while others it goes back several? (Think an example of that was when Ruth was bout to die but i think i may be missremembering) I still like the addition tho, just wish it was a l i t t l e more clear, that's all :']
Katie: So even if there are some slight changes to her (like how she doesn't have the cast anymore, which i kinda get, they kinda really brushed over that after Dave talked to her about it once in the podcast, so i get why it was cut), I really liked where they went with her! Course may be a l i t t l e bias since we knew Lio as Lady, and for both roles they absolutely crushed it, but- It was great seeing more details about Katie! Like implying more and more that she had a drug problem in the past and using her rehab advice on Dave was very fitting, and though it was sad knowing she wasn't going to make it in the end, still loved all her scenes! Especially the incredibly tense scene where Dave has to run miles to get to her house to make sure she doesn't sleep, passing by empty streets and sleeping bodies, and Katie (reasonably) hitting Dave on the head when he broke into her house, ooohoho that was good- And i remembered at first i was slightly surprised that Katie died in the plane rather than locking herself in the car, and at first i thought "Oh it's just to make it more impactful, for Dave to fly with his ex's corpse right next to him, so close to safety, yeah that's screwed up :/" ....then the ending cliffhanger shots were shown and ohohOHOHOHO THE SHOT OF KATIE IN THE WATER STARING DOWN THE CAMERA WITH TRAINGLE EYES, IMPLYING SHE'S GONNA BE A H U G E THREAT IN SEASON 2, OHOHO LOVE THAT SHIT-
The Dream Chamber: A new addition/change that I don't mind tooooo much, but i am a little confused on. In the podcast, little Dave's treatment was to be isolated away from society for 18 months with just him and his mom, nothing else as to not be used against him in his nightmares. And while here i can understand a little why they cut that (i mean each ep is only 20 mins so chop chop), the Dream Chamber scene was pretty interesting! The doctor was weird but i think that was the point (never trust a man with a bowl cut wig) since i remember there was one shot where there was an elephant ceremic (i think) in his office, and when talking about the chamber he had these strange flashes, one including a whale dying in a graveyard, so i think that's implying he's on the elephant's side and was only going to harm Dave more, thus why the Dream People made little Davey stab him in the neck (which i was s h o c k e d on when i saw, btw), but my problem is...we kinda never really go back to Dave's past after that? In the podcast, it was proven that the therapy worked for Dave so he could live out his life as a normal person until the Moobles happened, but here...we don't really know what happens after? Did the doctor die when he got stabbed? I don't think so since there'd have to be some legal trouble braught up because of that, and nobody mentions the doctor dying after that, sides it was just like...a kid stabbing him, so yeah it'd be pretty painful but maaaybe not that deadly. Did Dave get better after that? Probably not, probably is just prescribed more pills once he was old enough, but...in both podcast and in show it's braught up the concern that if he doesn't get the nightmare fixed soon when he was young, it'd lead to huge developmental issues, but Dave seems...mostly normal when older, nightmares and triangle carving aside. He still has a social life, albeit a small one, got a girlfriend, and even a job, so...did the treatment work? A little unclear, kinda wished they just just stuck with the cabin therapy, but it's an easy lookover, and maybe they'll elaborate more in season 2, so we'll just hafta see!
The Elephant: For me personally, i think the elephant monster face is kinda hit or miss under the right circumstances, like the first scene with the nightmare about Dave's mom turning into one, that one was real spooky and the flashing lights actually aided to it in my opinion, but...when it's just in broad daylight and on any person....yeaaah i can kiiiinda tell it's just a mask, hell i think it is the same one being re-used, but eh i think it's fine, just kinda wish they got a bit more creative with the elephant imagery to make it more eldritch and stuff like with the Whale, like that one shot of the Elephant being barely seen on the static on the TV at the party, that was cool, but it's fiiiine it served it's purpose well enough-
Baby Dave: Okay not too much of a tangent on the actual show, just something i thought up on, but...fellas. Markiplier community. More specifically, MCU community. We have an irl face for baby Dave. Ergo, we have a face for baby Mark. Ergo....we have a face for baby Actor, Damien, and William...I am expecting fanart soon and quick 🔫👁
Linda: I really loved Linda in the show! Eve did an amazing job getting across how intense and high strung Linda was, probably even better since we can see how stressed she is! Seeing her actual break down over Brit's death was great, to show she still is deeply disturbed and broken about the whole situation, and i think that was especially needed when she did the MRI on Ruth since in that scene she is crying, but with the knowledge she experienced the same thing with Brit, you can tell this isn't easy for her, but she is willing to do anything to figure out what is going on so the small group of people she barely knows can live. Also, MORE LINDA LORE OOOOO- Was not expecting that, for her to work in a secret government project before, but think it fits well! Explains why she's a little intense and weird, plus let's the audience know this truly can't be some government weapon since she knows of all the gov weapons in the works, so that was really cool to learn of her!
OST: MARKUS E. PLIER. AMAZON. QRCODE. S O M E O N E. YOU BETTER DROP THAT OST SOON CAUSE I W A N T - But for real i l o v e d the soundtrack throughout the series, it all fit the vibes perfectly, keeping things tense at tense scenes and heartfelt at heartfelt scenes, and those beats just mhmhmh- Also i adore the intro, soft, old music being used in a creepy morbid context with visual seeming out of place but once you watch the whole series it makes sense ohohoho gimmie that shit anyday- Speaking of...
Visuals: Touched upon this a bit earlier with the Elephant and the gore, but i liked the visuals a lot! Course i knew it wasn't gonna be movie level stuff or anything (some shots of the Whale are a b i t imposed at time but it's fine), but i feel like they knew what they were able to do, and did it to the best of their ability, and they did! I do love the gore, even if a little small, the brain cutting scene was amazing, very spooky, the funeral hallucination at the end was crazy with everyone bleeding out of their eyes and ears looked real good and intense, and the final shots with all the bodies waking up with triangles in their eyes oohohoohohohooo i loved that shit so damn much i am so hype for more p l e a s e -
And, finally, last but certainly not least, Dave: As to a suprise to nobody, least to those already in the Markiplier Fandom, Mark's acting was on fucking point. In every scene he was in, whatever he needed to sell, he sold it perfectly. Whether that be in distressed and concerned, confused and scared, angry and in dispair, he did it all perfectly, I fucking loved it. Like fuck- The scene where Katie dies, the desperation in his voice as he pleads for Linda to give her more adrenline, as if that'd fix it, having to be pulled back in his anguish, f u c k - And the scene before when he carves the triangle into his chest, waking up just in time to give an almost dazed, dead look to Katie as he asks sluggishly "what's wrong?", adding to the horror of his self mutilation. GOOD SHIT GOOD SHIT- My only "complaint" i guess is that i wished he had a few more lines/scenes with dialog, but maybe that's just wishful thinking since i'm so used to him talking on and on and on and on both in the podcast and just in the channel in general, but even then i couldn't be happier with his performance!!
Infact, everyone did fucking incredible! If you're reading this and you still haven't watched TEOS yet...what the hell are you doing go watch we gotta beat the crap outta Judge Judy BUT also go watch for the incredible acting, special effects, soundtrack, story, just EVERYTHING that is Edge of Sleep! It is definitely worth your time, it's only 2 hours so it's super easy to binge, and tho i am a little pissed like everyone else that Amazon/QRCode/Hollywood execs are tryna bury this thing so Mark/other well deserved YouTubers can't have their work be put more out there, well...we're showing them now, aren't we? >:]
TLDR: This is the best sleedge i've had in my life so go watch so you can sleedge yourself. Alright bye. *backflips then dies*

okay, here's the post about my thoughts on Newsies 1992 that I promised, because I just remembered that I was gonna do that.
First of all, I didn't realize that Kenny Ortega directed the movie until the credits (I did like, zero research on the cast or crew, I just knew that Christian Bale played Jack Kelly) and I think that explains why it was so fucking good (and why Jack and Davey were so gay lmao)
Number 2: this one is just a thought about the story of Newsies in general, but I do not see the need for a romance subplot at all. especially in the movie, because Jack and Sarah barely interact with each other, and the "oooh they like each other he he he" little subplot start the first time they meet ? at least in the musical, Jack and Katherine interact a lot and they're friends before the romance stuff starts. idk. it just kind of irks me when media has a romance subplot for no reason.
Number 2.5: following up on the romance subplot; it could be completely taken out and the story would be exactly the same. "but what about at the end when Jack decides to stay in New York because of his love interest?" you may be asking. simple: he realizes that he has a family already in New York with the newsies and he doesn't want to leave them and be alone. this ending emphasizes the importance of familial and platonic relationships and bonds, which I think we just need more of in general.
Number 3: I love how the movie has the time and means to go more in-depth with Davey and how he reacts to Jack's betrayal and how he keeps the strike going without Jack and everything. I know that the live version is a musical, and therefore has more music, but still they kind of glossed over all that if I'm remembering correctly (I haven't watched livesies in a while and may be misremembering things oops)
Number 4: the scene where the rest of the workers join the crowd for the children's crusade is so much more powerful in the movie, because they were able to have a ton of extra people, as it is a movie and not a stage production with a smaller cast. I genuinely got some chills when I watched that scene it was awesome.
Number 5: all of these guys have beautiful voices. I didn't know that Christian Bale could sing (if it is him singing and not someone else because I know sometimes movies do that; have someone else sing for a character instead of their actor or voice actor). The songs are different than what I'm used to with the musical soundtrack, but I enjoyed them a lot. and the choreography was great too.
Number 6: I like Denton. he's awesome. it's great that the newsies have an actual adult that helps them instead of someone who is assumed to be close to Jack's age (Katherine).
Number 7: the scene in Medda's theater when Snyder and the police showed up was so- I don't even know, I just really like it. I was on the edge of my seat watching it. also, Davey kicking Snyder in the face on the swing was so badass. I love you movie Davey you're so cool
Number 8: there was way more romantic tension between Jack and Davey than between Jack and Sarah. I'm just saying. the scene where Jack was being carried away by the police after getting punched by Snyder, when Davey reaches for him and tries to get the police to let go of him? oh he wants that cookie so effing bad. Davey going after Jack by himself when he was taken to Pulitzer's from the Refuge? Gay. (also how did no one see him??) the alley scene? they should've kissed. Davey confronting Jack after he sold out to Pulitzer? they should've angry-kissed there. the scene at the end after Jack comes back on the governor's carriage and the way they stare at each other?? my homo-alarm was going off so loud. idk they just had so much tension and I thank Kenny Ortega for that, because I know damn well that he had everything to do with that.
Number 9: THE FUCKING HARMONIES HELLO. I feel the same way about the harmonies in livesies, but the ones in 92sies are different from those, which I'm used to, and it was just so fun listening to them. god, I love music, can you tell?
Number 10: Spot Conlon. that's it, really. I like him, he's funny, "on the grounds of Brooklyn, your honor". I just love him. so much.
Number 10.5: Racetrack Higgins. he does so much more in the movie than in the stage production, and I love that. he's also very funny and has incredibly witty lines and I love it.
Number 11: I love getting to see more of the other newsies, and especially Davey's interactions with them. I don't remember getting to see much of that in livesies, and I think it really helps the viewer to connect with the characters and story more.
ummm, I think that's all I can think of that I wanted to share. if I think of more things, I will come back to share them. I think I'm probably gonna watch it like ten more times in the coming week and try to get my younger brother to watch it cause he's only seen the stage production so far (my town's high school is doing Newsies for their musical this year and he's gonna audition !!!!).
alrighty chat, that'll wrap up this tumblr post. have a great day and keep being cool :3

Goodbye Don't Last Forever
Javey. Kind of funny ngl. Enjoy.
David Jacobs was eighteen and newly graduated when his girlfriend, Francis Sullivan, left for Santa Fe, leaving no goodbye and no way to contact her.
David went crazy when she left. He loved her and she left without a word to him. He made some stupid (but not too regrettable) decisions in the time after. Dyed his dirty blonde hair a dark shade of brown. Started wearing his glasses again. Went outside only when required (as in almost never). Stopped talking to many of his friends.
Only two of the habits died, and fortunately it was those last two. He found himself to be pretty fine within a few months of her being gone.
Six years later, David Jacobs was 24 years old and getting a new roommate.
"Hi, are you David?" A confident voice came from behind him.
He turned to face- woah he's hot- the person asking the question.
"Yeah, yes, that's me. David Jacobs. Hi."
The man smiled and held out a hand to shake.
"Jack Kelly."
Those eyes... that handshake. So familiar. But the familiarity was out of reach in David's mind.
So he stood up a little straighter, smiled back, and said, "Nice to meet you in person finally. I mean I trusted Albert enough to not find me a serial killer roommate but... I feel very assured now, haha..."
"I won't kill ya, Davey."
Davey...
"Good to know. Same here. Do you need help taking anything up?"
Jack shook his head. "All I's got is this." He nodded to a moderately sized suitcase that he was gripping.
"Oh. Sorry, I didn't-"
"It's nothing, Dave. I just had to leave kinda quickly and didn't have much anyways."
"Well, uh. Let me uh... I guess, follow me?"
...
David was down bad for his roommate. And, down bad as in like, Taylor Swift "if I can't have him/I might just die it would make no difference."
Something about him, Jack, felt so familiar in all the most wonderful ways. His smile was a smile David felt like he had seen dozens of times.
David wanted to know why. He wanted to know why this boy felt so natural in the environment. Why he seemed to be the missing piece in David's life.
He was going to find out.
Not today though, he decided, when Jack entered the apartment looking like he was about to burst into tears.
"Hey, are you okay?" David asked slowly.
Jack nodded stiffly, putting his head down and throwing his bag and coat to the floor.
"Jack, you look sad."
"I'm fine."
"Jack."
"I ain't- you don't gotta be all in my business." Jack was heading to his tiny bedroom, so David grabbed his arm to stop him.
"You can tell me, you know?"
Jack leaned forward, hugging David, beginning to cry.
"Woah, hey. Hey, it's alright, let it out..." David wished Jack would hug him more often, and not while crying.
Jack continued to cry for maybe three minutes, David didn't know exactly. What David did know is that when Jack made eye contact with him, he looked like he had done something horrible.
"I ain't a real boy, Dave."
David's heart could have shattered just then, hearing Jack sound so broken.
"What do you mean, you aren't a real boy?"
"I wasn't- I'm not- I am a boy. I know and promise that I am but I just- wasn't born that way and I feel like a fraud and I get sad sometimes."
"That's okay to be sad, Jack. But you're a boy, I know you are. If you say you're a boy, you're a boy. No, how old are you?"
"Twenty-four."
"Okay, Jack Kelly, you are no boy, you're a freakin' man."
Jack smiled a little, wiping his eyes dry.
"Thank ya, Davey."
...
David was having none of this "stay up until 3 AM painting" bullshit.
"Jack Kelly, you will start going to bed at a decent time or so help me-"
"I'm fine, Dave!" Jack defended himself.
"You drank four coffees today and three energy drinks. I don't even know how you're still alive!"
"Fine, fine. I will be in bed no later than midnight."
"Is that the best I'm gonna get?"
"Yup."
David sighed, deciding to give in.
"At least show me what you've been working on into the ungodly hours of the night?"
"Maybe someday." Jack smiled mysteriously and disappeared once again into his room.
David was not staring at his fine ass as he retreated. He wasn't.
...
"Davey, do you got any food?"
David was regretting getting a roommate but also enjoyed having someone around. He didn't appreciate having to buy random shit every other week because Jack had a craving and pretty much no money. (He spent his money on rent and art supplies, which David didn't mind because his apartment was cheaper and Jack's art was amazing.)
"We have fruit snacks and spaghetti-o's if that qualifies as food. We might also have a banana."
Jack strolled into the kitchen area after David's previous statement and pulled out a packet of fruit snacks, a can of spaghetti-o's, and the blender.
"What the fuck are you doing?" David asked, shocked and amused all at once.
"I'm making me some dinner, you want some?"
"Jack, there is no way in Hell you are going to eat- drink spaghetti-o's and fruit snacks put through the blender. It's gonna be terrible."
"Actually, no it isn't. My old friend dared me to do it and it actually tastes good."
David had a brief memory flash through his mind.
"Francis! I dare you to put the two most different things you can think of in the blender and then drink it." Race shouted.
"Okay, I'll do it." Francis smiled that daredevil smile of hers and got started. Spaghetti-o's and fruit snacks.
When it was complete, Francis took a long drink.
"Wow. That's actually not terrible."
"Davey, you good?"
David nodded. "Sorry, just. You just reminded me of something."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. Ex-girlfriend."
"Thought you said you're gay?"
"She kind of helped me out on discovering that."
"Well. That's nice of her. How so?"
"Uh. It's a long story."
"I bet I can handle it. Besides, I have an abomination to drink. I'll listen."
"Oh. Okay. Well. Basically, she decided she was going to Santa Fe and wasn't going to, you know, say goodbye to me or anyone. And I spent a long time angry and then realized I didn't really miss her romantically at all and just was pissed, and then me and my friend Albert accidentally fucked when we were drunk and I was like 'wow that's allowed?' and anyways uh Al and I aren't and weren't interested in each other at all, we were just drunk like I said, but then it all made sense why I wasn't like, sad over the 'love of my life' leaving because it was just a high school girlfriend and I'm not even into girls. So I'm not even mad at her anymore really I'm just gay and confused and I've talked a lot now sorry."
David looked up at Jack for a reaction. He was wearing this face... David could not name the emotion.
"What was her name?"
Huh. Weird question.
"Why?"
"Well, I was just wonderin' if maybe I met her, since I's come here from Santa Fe and all."
"Oh. Yeah, uh. Her name's Francis Sullivan."
"Have a picture?"
"Yeah, one sec." David scrolled through his phone's camera roll until he found her. "Here."
The picture made Jack frown, and David kind of would have done anything to make him smile again.
"You know her?" David asked.
"Yeah, uh. I knew her."
David's heart sped up.
"Really? Is she doing okay? Is she alright? Do you know where she lives, cause I might need to go-"
"Davey. Stop."
"What?"
"You can't exactly go visit her."
"Why not?"
Jack seemed to be looking inside himself instead of at David when he spoke.
"She was... the real depressed type, Dave. Always sad. She never smiled, I don't think. She was in a real bad state of mind."
"What're you-"
"She ain't alive no more."
Everything stopped in David's head.
"What?"
"I'm real sorry, Dave. She just ain't... But I'm here."
"What's that supposed to mean? 'You're here?'"
Jack hesitated before opening his mouth. "She didn't exactly... die the way you're thinking. She, uh. She just... more... changed? She ain't Francis anymore. She cut her hair and went on T and got top surgery and goes by a boy's name now, and he/him. So, uh, tellin' ya she died was probably not the brightest idea but that was an in-the-moment decision."
"Good for him. What does that have to do with you being here?"
Jack made absolute eye contact with David, wondering how he could be so fucking stupid, and held it. Held it as he crossed the room and held it up until the moment he pulled David into a hug.
"I'm sorry for leavin' you. I just had ta get away."
David jerked away from Jack in a quick movement.
"You? You're... You- I can't-" David's brain was moving too quickly and all he could think to do was punch Jack in the face as hard as humanly possible.
Which he did.
"Son of a bitch- Dave! I only told ya cause I thought you said ya weren't mad anymore!"
"Yeah, well. Now I am, asshole. You... You deep friend burnt-ass dino nugget dickhead. You absolute.... I can't even. How dare you? I fucking loved you, yes even if I'm gay now, and you, you just ran the fuck off and never bothered contacting me for six years. I would have understood if you needed to leave, needed to leave me, needed... whatever. I would have given you your space. I hate you."
Jack looked hurt. It made David feel good. All that pain he went through and it was being passed on.
"Davey-"
"David."
"Right, sorry. David. I'm really sorry. I don't- I never meant ta hurt you. To be honest, I thought you'd be glad if I left and never came back."
David felt less good.
"I just- I wanted to feel like I could be free. It didn't really... go as planned. Because I just realized I wanted to come back. Mostly for you."
David didn't stop to think. David just kissed Jack like he was hungry for it.
"I fucking hate you." He said, pulling away.
"No you don't."
"Don't test your luck."
A small moment of touching silence passed.
"So..." Jack started. "You slept with Al?"
"Now I actually do hate you. Get out, I'm calling him. Maybe he'll be nice to me."
"Davey... I love you. I always did."
"I'm... good to know. I can't- I'm still mad, bitch."
Jack just laughed, and he knew right then that it would all be fine.
A/N: hope y'all liked it :) It'll be on ao3 asap

"No way! What are you doing here?" "Is it okay to give you a hug?" "Hi, I… I don't really know what to say."
Word Count ;; 1,714
SUMMERY ;; Jack's return from Santa Fe. Will the boys be mad at him or will they welcome him back with open arms?
Tumblr media
A voice mumbled to himself, staring into a mirror and holding a frown on his face. Jack had just recently returned from Santa Fe with only one person knowing of it. One of his friends, David Jacobs. Not even the women he’d fallen in love with knew he was back. Katherine didn’t know, Race didn’t know, none of them did. Only Davey.
But now Jack was having second thoughts. He had already left them once, during the strike. Will they still trust him after all of this? Leaving them, leaving Davey in charge until he went back to school? Jack hadn’t even known that the taller male had taken selling newspapers as an early morning job. He hadn’t dropped out of school, no. Sometimes, when everyone was done with work, Davey would join them at Jacobi’s and help teach the other Newsies whatever he was learning.
“Jack, I assure you. You’ll be okay. None of them are mad at you. Well- maybe Spot, but we’re not going to Brooklyn yet. Just Manhattan, okay?” He spoke firmly, placing his hands on Jack’s shoulders and making the male face him. Jack slowly nodded his head, his eyes narrowing slightly as his lips were in a thin line. “If youse’ say so, Davey. It’s just- nerve wrecking.” The shorter explained, running a hand through his hair.
Though only a sigh escaped the taller. “And that’s normal. Come on, we’re meeting at Medda’s theater in less than an hour. I’d say thirty minutes. We can stop by my family’s apartment, pick up Les, and then head there.” He explained, removing his hands from Jack’s shoulder and nodding his head. “Okay?” It took Jack a couple seconds to answer. “Okay.”
Grabbing his hat and fixing his vest, Davey began to walk as Jack followed quietly. They’d been at the lodge, nobody was there until later on as it grew darker. That was common and something Davey had learned to deal with while spending his time with the boys. Race was usually the latest, having been spending his time at the races. Always betting on one of the horses.
Davey learned from one of the others that Race would’ve killed to be one of those guys. The wind breezing by as you raced with a stallion. He learned that a while ago while Jack was gone. As they walked to Medda’s, they spoke amongst one another. Just mindless chatter. It’s been a while since Jack left, a year or two. Mind as well catch up.
The streets of New York weren’t entirely busy, which just meant the Newsies were most likely at Jacobi’s. So Davey had to lead them a different way so as to not get caught. They all knew Davey had something to talk to them about at Medda’s, and she too gave them permission to even use the theater. They just needed that permission and then everything would be okay. As long as Jack and Davey could get to the theater before any of the other boys, everything would be okay. But knowing how some of the boys, for example, Race and Albert, could get there fast, it was difficult.
The two continued to walk, Jack messing with the red bandana that would be around his neck and resting casually, like a cowboy would. Well, they usually had it tied, but right now, Jack just messed with it in his hands. He had left his cowboy hat back at Davey’s, hopin Les wouldn’t notice it when the boy went home later on in the day. Then again, Les was trusted with Race and Albert right now, which Davey was slowly questioning why exactly he had done that. A soft sigh escaped Jack as he looked to the brunette beside him. “Feels like things ain’ changed, ain’ it, Davey?” He questioned, earning a chuckle from the boy.
“Nothing’s changed much. Spot comes down here a bit from time to time, but like usual most of his time is spent in Brooklyn. Pulitzer’s been… Well, Pulitzer. Katherine says you two write back and forth sometimes. That’s nice.” He explained as he walked, his thumbs in his pockets as he walked with a relaxed stance. He wasn’t stiff, wasn’t nervous, unlike Jack. He smiled at the mention of Katherine, nodding his head right after. “Yeah. We’s write. I’s just been busy workin’ with a lotta’ animals and everythin. I’s never told ya, I work on a ranch. It’s fun!” He spoke, before an idea popped into his head. “Hey, hey! Why’s don’t I’s take you all there one day? I’s think it’d be fun!”
The sudden excitement of Jack made David smile, nodding his head. “I’d just have to get the permission from my folks to bring Les with us. And if anything, they’d say yes so long as we write. You know how worried they would be about Les.” He explained, gently nudging Jack’s shoulder and letting out a soft laugh. “We’ll go through the backstage doors into Medda’s. By now, the boys should be heading to the front and into their usual seats.” He explained with a soft chuckle. Nodding his head slowly, Jack continued to follow Davey to the back of Medda’s. The same way they had run when running from Snyder. Oh boy, was that a memory. Now that he thought about it ,was Snyder still in jail? Letting a sigh out, Jack nodded his head before following after David. He was okay. Sure, he’s messing with his nails, but that’s become a habit.
A habit when it came to picking the dirt under his nails, a habit when messing with them, everything. But it made sense to an extent. With walking to the back of Medda’s theater and in through the backdoors, the voices of newsies caught Jack’s attention. And oh boy did he get beyond nervous. Well, three voices however, were more heard than anyone’s. On the stage besides Medda were four of his beyond favorite people. Katherine, Race, Les and Crutchie. “Davey said he had something important to tell all of us. What could it be?” Katherine spoke first, looking around before hearing the voice of Davey peak her interest. “You guys came! I thought you’d all just head back home or to the lodge.” He explained, letting out a soft laugh.
Race playfully rolled his eyes, looking at Davey who came out of the shadows and stood in the lights that Medda had pointing towards the stage. He had a small smile before moving out of the way and smiling. He looked back into the shadows, making a “come on out” motion with his hand. After what seemed to be a couple minutes, the famous Jack Kelly, the man of mystery, stepped out of the shadows. Which resulted in the four on stage standing with widened eyes and the crowd of Manhattan’ newsies cheering as loud as they could. Les, who had been holding onto Katherine’s hand as a habit, had let go by now and ran straight to Jack, who was kneeling down and quickly scooped the kid up into a hug.
After placing Les down, he waited for the next of the three to make their way over. And that said person was Crutchie. Even with a gimp leg, the boy with the crutch wobbled over, quickly hugging Jack and smiling widely. “No way, what are you doing here, Jack!?” He exclaimed, letting out a bunch of laughs and looking up to the man he’d called his older brother. This was a dream. Casey thought it was, at least. He gently pinched his arm, resulting in a soft “ow!” when he had let go of the hug and looked at Jack. “Davey here convinced me to come and visit. But he, I’s got a plan that no one can know just yet.” Little did these boys know, Jack may or may not just be coming back. But nobody, not even Davey, knew. He had a small smile as Crutchie quickly hugged him once more before wobbling back in order to give someone else the next hug.
To no one’s surprise, the next one up was Racer. The blonde stood with widened eyes, having taken a couple of seconds to really process everything that was happening. He was looking at Jack, his technical leader, before he spoke with a soft tone of voice, his accent not being as thick as it usually was. “Is it okay to give you a hug?” He asked, earning a smile and nod from the brunette he oh so cared about. But when he got that nod, Jack didn’t expect to be literally lifted off his feet for a moment or two and to be held tightly by the blonde. “You’re actually here! Jacky boy, you’re back!” Race began to laugh out, smiling widely as he eventually placed Jack down. The blonde had a slight bit of tears forming in his eyes, in which Jack wiped away with a playful smile on his face. “I’m back for a bit, Racer. Dontcha’ start going all soft and cryin’ now.” He teased, giving a playful jab to the blonde’s shoulder and letting out laughs. Which then resulted in Racer’s mood going from sad to way too happy.
Lastly to make their way up to Jack, was Katherine. The redheaded female had tears already forming in her eyes. She took a couple of steps towards him, She spoke softly, eventually, lifting her hands to cup his face. “Hi…” She spoke, her hands shaking as she held his face. “I.. I don’t know what to say.” She whispered softly, giving a small smile as she felt the boy wrap his arms around her waist. The feeling of it and everything felt comforting to Katherine as she stared into the newsies eyes. Jack only smiled down to her, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. “That’s alright. Just sink in the moment that I’s back, Kathy.” He spoke softly, pressing his forehead against hers and letting out a soft laugh. Before he could even think of anything else to say, Katherine pressed a gentle kiss against Jack’s lips, smiling right after. When she’d pulled away for air, she only spoke softly with her smile remaining warm and gentle.
“Welcome home, Jack.”

On Repeat Playlist Tag Game
Rules: Shuffle your repeat playlist 10 times and tag 10 people. Tagged by @flymmsy 😘
If you've ever wanted to laugh at my musical tastes, no better opportunity now, folks!
I know a lot of you guys are within the venn diagram of shared/mutual fandoms, so what I'll do for this (to make things interesting) is assign a pairing for each song and a wee rationale as to why ;)
Tagging: @defira85 @atypicalacademic @dirty-bosmer @henbased @braindancer @feykiller @vasiktomis @circlejourney @chickenparm @sweatandwoe (sorry if you've been tagged before!)
SHEPARD / GARRUS (Mass Effect) Okay, Reina's technically not 'Shepard', and this is a big cheat because Jeon Somi is her voice claim haha. Definitely a song she's released out of spite when Garrus all but disappeared to play vigilante on Omega ;)
MARTIN SEPTIM / MARINA CORVUS (TES IV: Oblivion) Listen, listen, this song is so perfectly them it actually kind of hurts a lot. To people that surrounded Martin, Emperor-to-be, Marina was exactly the kind of troublemaker they needed him to stay away from. But to Brother Martin the man made of flesh? She was everything to him uwu
GORTASH / DURGE (Baldur's Gate III) Come on now, the lyrics are PERFECT for a Durge lamenting about the big dumb crush she's got on Enver and oh my god? He likes her back? (She says, kicking her feet in the air, after a bloody massacre, much to Sceleritas Fel's dismay)
MAYOR HANCOCK / LEE (Fallout 4) UGH oh my god so I know Lee Know from Stray Kids is his faceclaim but this song is very much them. Wanting to run away, seeking freedom where they can take it? Not wanting to take shit for all the crap that's been thrown their way? Yeah <3 Maybe for a modern AU <3
GORTASH / DARK URGE (Baldur's Gate III) It's not cheating! If Kill! Kill! Kill! was from Durge's perspective, I can see this being from Gortash's perspective (the fact this is one genuine emo/alt??? perfect for Gorty's aging rockstar look). Like come on, it's in the name, the lyrics, the screamo bridge? Davey Havok knows what's up.
ONMUND / ALREK (TES V: Skyrim) Oh man. Oh man so this particular album from Bastille has been very Onmund/Alrek coded to me (for reasons I won't get into yet ;D) But this is very much like Alrek watching the world quite literally burn and the only thing he can think of is courting the cute mage and throwing all his cares into the wind. After all, when the world's ending, why does any of it matter?
CAPT DELACOURT / MC (Heart of a Sky Pirate) Hey, my otome game officially lives on an app, so this counts ;D But these more upset, shanty-esque songs definitely reminds me of Delacourt and his romance route. Throwing your cares to the wind (literally) and having a grand ol' time no matter where the adventure takes you.
F!SOLE SURVIVOR / CURIE (Fallout 4) Hear me out: I think Parker's (my sole) romance with Curie is almost highschool puppy love. And it doesn't help that they both have some pretty huge baggage that they need to work through-- so having someone to lean on and love in a way that's easy, carefree and happy? Yeah they're gonna hold onto that <3
STELLE / MARCH 7TH (Honkai: Star Rail) Forever crying that my Caelus is getting so many better pulls than my Stelle, but fwiw, I definitely think Stelle and March have a very fun, easy-going relationship. Kinda need to when you're Trailblazing across the galaxy in a giant space train (and angering gods along the way, oops!)
GALE DEKARIOS / TAV (Baldur's Gate III) Hear me out: I think these two would be so into each other in the way that they absolutely would not leave each other alone. You think Astarion/Tav is bad? These two have it worse. To be more precise, my Tav for this romance, Rae, is very much into exploring his romantic curiosities with Gale. No one else makes him feel as safe and wanted uwu

FLUFFY NEWSIES THOUGHTS
:D oh, i would be more than happy to provide
specs’ eyes get strained/tired easily, since his glasses aren’t exactly the right prescription, so sometimes when he says as much, boots and splasher will insist on reading to him like he reads to them. they’re not especially good at reading, and more often than not just end up making stuff up to fill the gaps in what they can’t read or understand, but specs finds that far more fun to listen to than the real plots of the dime novels the boys manage to get their hands on and share amongst themselves. (most of them are jack’s, and about cowboys.)
the bowery beauties all know all the newsies that come in often - though they rarely speak with them - and will ask after someone if they haven’t been coming for a while. albert finds out one of the girls asked after him and won’t shut up about it for weeks. (he omits that, as finch told him, the girl called him “the little red-haired one”.)
les is a terrible teacher, but is adamant that he’s going to teach the newsies how to read regardless. he really does do his best, even though his teaching is largely “um, just…look at what the letters say and put them together and read the word!”. some of the other newsies, in turn, help les with his schoolwork - elmer loves doing maths with him, and finch loves studying poetry. if he mentions particularly liking a poem, davey will copy it out for him and give it to him to keep. sometimes, finch will then give them to albert if they’re ones he thinks al will like too.
mike and ike have their own secret made-up language. they share a bunk, and whenever they’re sat together on one of their mattresses at night before they go to sleep, they can be heard talking animatedly in that nonsense tongue. they’ll never tell anybody what any of it means (but they’ll sometimes whisper to the kids if they ask. reveal that they just called race some silly childish name, or that they’re gossiping about jack and davey.)
katherine brings the newsies little treats whenever she can - sweets and pastries. henry helps her choose them by saying things he remembers trying and loving, and he’s as delighted for the opportunity to try them again as he is for the opportunity for everyone else to try them for the first time. also, jack really does always deliver the morning paper to her personally - he buys his papes and stops by her place first thing.
crutchie ties the laces of the newsies that don’t know how. they lift their legs up for him since he can’t crouch down, and he ties them up quick and efficient with steady hands. (he’s also tied morris’ laces for him before. they were at the circulation office and oscar was busy serving the last of the newsies, and crutchie could just see morris staring with mounting distress at his laces which had apparently come loose. so he just marched over and silently tapped the low wall to direct morris to put each leg up in turn, and tied them with the same efficiency he uses for the kids. morris ducked his head and mumbled his thanks, shyer than crutchie thought he was capable of being. crutchie’s so smug about it.)
stray will tell any and all of the newsies about stray animals she met that reminded her of them. this ranges from telling crutchie how she met the most tenacious little cat with a bum leg who was adamant on climbing a wall (which it succeeded in doing, eventually, though she watched just to make sure), to telling sniper she met a cat that was a total asshole and swiped her across the nose with effortless accuracy.

I have a good deal of James's profile complete! It is up in my document of muses, which is linked in my pinned post, but I'm going to post it here too, because why not. :p
Tumblr media
Name: James Wolfe (Jim)
Role: Protagonist
Office of Origin: WIP
Age: 26
Pronouns: He/Him
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Species: Human
Personality: In most cases when you meet James he appears to be an affable, outgoing man with a big personality, a lot on his mind, and even more to say. He’s confident, may appear to be bright and know what he is talking about, and may even come across as popular or like he is the delight of the town. He is interested in you and what you think, how you feel, your life, what you are up to, just everything about you.
There is, however, a deeper, darker layer of him underneath all that, and it tends to come out and become easier to see the longer and better you know him. You may start to notice just how attentive he is to you. That he remembers just about everything you tell him about you. Certain details he’s told you about himself don’t align. You start to wonder if you don’t really know who James is or who is the real James.
He can become very attached to a person very quickly, and even become obsessive and downright possessive, sometimes to the point of becoming aggressive about it. He is an individual who can easily become jealous and envious of others, and suffers from an intense need for attention, a desire to love, and a desire to be loved. And he will do almost anything to get it.
Physical Appearance: Caucasian cis male of six feet in height. Dark brown hair that is wavy with a slight curl to it and very messy. Hazel eyes. Wears glasses. Moderate build - James is not exactly muscular, but not thin either, he is somewhere in the middle. Likes to dress to impress, so most often he can be seen wearing nice dress pants and a dress shirt, usually also with a tie and a vest.
Abilities: As an Office dweller, she can respawn in a whole, healthy new body upon death.
Brief History: WIP
PLEASE BE WARNED: While I don’t intend on roleplaying James’s more intensely toxic personality traits with my writing partners and in roleplay threads, please keep in mind that James’s character does have toxic traits, including becoming easily jealous of others and easily attached to others, including to the point of obsession. He may even, at times, insult your muse if he sees them as competition, or become physically hostile, or even try to hurt your muse (although I will never allow him to do so without discussing it with you first).
There is no requirement for you to interact with James and I will not be at all offended if you decide you don’t feel comfortable interacting with him. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, all you need to do is drop the thread. I would also appreciate it if you let me know too so that I will know not to send James to your inbox for ask memes and such, although telling me is up to you.
My intention with James is to explore his darker, more toxic traits internally among my own muses through writing drabbles and such, while keeping his interactions with other people’s muses on the lighter side, but due to the nature of his character, he will never be totally free of his toxic traits (unless he improves via character development). Any interaction with him may include toxic situations at any time. With this in mind, if you are interested in exploring his darker side with me, you are more than welcome to do so! I will require that we plot these things out, so that we are both on the same page the whole way and making sure we are both comfortable with how things are progressing.
Feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions or concerns or anything. Thank you!

I’ve made a deep analyse of Trevor’s character and how Steven Ogg portrays him.
The first thing we are introduced to when it comes to his demeanour is how feral he is, mentally and physically in appearance. The first mission he is in, we are able to see not even his most extreme behaviour. Rockstar has made a great job at presenting Trevor slowly throughout the gameplay, we get to know him more through dialogue and his impact on the story mode. We are introduced to a dirty looking drug addict who takes pleasure in killing, but we are slowly introduced to a weak man who hides under the influence of violence and drugs to fill the void of his self-hatred and misery.
Another thing I’ve noticed about him throughout the story mode, he is extremely loyal. Unlike Michael who’d refer Trevor as an ‘old friend’, we can see from Trevor’s side that he refers Michael as his ‘best friend’. I don’t know about you, but I really pity him at this stage. He’s really in favour of Michael and despite how fast and willing he is to kill people, he refrains himself by doing any physical harm to Michael, or any of his friends, no matter how much they can screw him up. Trevor is definitely undermined by Michael, almost mocked. It reminds me of high school friend groups where you have the clear leader (Michael) and the person who just follows you around and is the source of entertainment, but humiliatingly (Trevor).
This could link to how he was treated in the past. His mother was clearly abusive, mentally, towards him, and we can see the effects it has on the character more into the gameplay. Trevor is prone to gaining a strong attachment to certain people and things, and we know he has a deep fear of losing it. He even states it himself during a mission with Michael. I don’t know at the top of my head but it goes along the lines of: Michael: “What’s wrong with you?” Trevor: “Oh, some abandonment issues.” If you’d link this to the point I made before about his loyalty, he is too blinded by Michael’s lack of interest in him personally to walk away. Trevor is attached to Michael, and is obviously scared of losing him again after his ‘death’.
Although his mother was abusive, we can see his take on older women and his major interest in them. Patricia really pulled a great impression on him, like a motherly figure, that he confuses that with romantic love. Trevor craves female presence as it fills the void of having such an absent and broken mother. He is deeply offended if anyone mentions his mother, even if it’s a small detail in the subject. He is still wounded by his past and deals with it through older validation, drugs, and obvious anger issues.
If we look at how his father affected him emotionally, we can view this by how he perceives men. Any man in GTA, we can see Trevor treat them rather hideously. That could be dehumanisation, physical abuse, or mental abuse. Floyd is the best to explain this. While Floyd is rather sensitive and weak, Trevor picks on him constantly and he dominates other men to fill the void of his father who physically dominated and abused him. His unhealthy mechanisms grows in his criminality and he turns into a heavy drug user, serial killer, and thief.
Though Trevor mentioned he dropped out of school in his adolescence, he has advanced vocabulary and even stated by Wade that he is an expert in numbers. Although Trevor isn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, he is intelligent enough to gather some advanced vocabulary that you couldn’t imagine an unstable man like him to think or produce such words. His heists all seem to be successful despite lack of planning and detail, and he incredibly observant. The first time he met Davey personally, he recognised him, even though Trevor never actually saw him before. His instinct told him that he met Davey before, being of course correct as Dave was the sniper who shot Brad, mistakenly, in the prologue. It’s clearly impossible for him to realise completely, but the intelligence he has to simply trust his instinct is impressive and mind blowing.
His desire and lust of sex and the need of sexual tension would suggest how unloved he was during his early life. It is common for people who had lack of motherly attention would grow in need of sexual pleasure, and would often find it in women, presumably older women. Trevor mentioned how he masturbates to relief his emotions, implying how isolated he is to be finding the need of touch every day. During moments where you can play Trevor and pick up prostitutes, when focussing on the activity, he’d end up moaning out love confessions and would sometimes go: “Oh, mother!”
I think Steven had done a fantastic job in portraying Trevor due to his detail in voice, gestures, and manic looks. Steven can produce such a strong tone of voice when yelling, making Trevor intimidating and mental. His effort in giving Trevor the signature gesture of his hands when explaining, presenting how unstable and feral he is, even when he’s talking normally. No one else could produce such a character and I’m thankful Steven created such a unique person.
In conclusion, he is literally a sad old man.

hello nobody asked but here are more unsolicited Newsies Uno ReVerse thoughts that I can NOT get out of my head
Crutchie is Jack’s brother, but he never expects him to go out selling with his disability
When Les and Davey meet Crutchie for the first time, Les tells Jack something borderline offensive like “Why didn’t you tell me youse had a little brother with a bum leg? Between my face and his leg, we coulda been making MILLIONS this whole time!”
Davey is appropriately embarrassed and apologizes profusely on his brother’s behalf
Davey is obsessed with Portland, Oregon (it’s his Santa Fe) somewhere he can get away from the heated claustrophobia of the city, lock himself away in a cabin and finally put down on paper the little stories he tells himself to get through the day
Jack volunteers to go to Brooklyn with Davey
Les is the one hauled away to the refuge after Seize The Day
David and Katherine are the ones who hit it off, and Jack is The Pining One (TM)
Post-Rally, the Something To Believe In scene starts off with Kath confronting Davey and i don’t have details but I do have this piece of dialogue:
“If you weren’t a girl, you’d find out exactly why they call me Mouth.” “I think your inability to shut up might have something to do with it.” “No, it’s because when I hear someone talking about something they have no idea about, I aim for the mouth. And I don’t miss.”
And then Kath kisses him and Davey’s like omg??? Do I…..??? Like girls??? (Bc living in a house full of boys there’s no WAY he doesn’t already know he’s gay (umbrella term))
This Affects Post Canon bc I said so. Fun Post Canon Stuff (it’s fun for ME. Probably not for yall. You’ll call it angst or something):
Jack catches a Davey and Katherine kiss when they win the strike and it kind of makes him Unwell
Davey gets a job writing for The World
Jack has a hard time adjusting going back to school, can’t focus, realizes he’s happiest when he’s with the newsies (and Davey)
He brings up to Medda the idea of dropping out to get a job. She agrees because she sees how unhappy he is and school really just isn’t I for him
Kath gets him a job as an artist at The World
This means he has to see Davey and Kath Together Every Day and it makes him even more Unwell (although he loves the art part of it!)
Davey notices this because he is Davey
Because he is Davey and is the smartest man in the room but also the biggest idiot on the planet, he completely misconstrues the reason Jack is Being Weird
So Davey invites Jack to hang out one on one, without Katherine and Jack accepts at first but it gets harder and harder and Davey is more engrained in his life than ever and he just can’t do it
So Jack stops interacting with Davey at work, blows him off outside of it, and generally starts distancing himself and Davey is totally clueless
Finally, he goes to Katherine and complains about it and the conversation goes something like this:
“I thought spending time alone with him, away from you—no offense—would make him feel better. You know, remind him that no matter what’s going on with you and me that he’s still my friend.”
“I think that’s part of the problem, Davey.”
“I mean yeah. Truth be told if he and I weren’t friends I doubt you and I would even be an issue. I think he’d just go for it.”
“…… What?”
“I think he’d ask you on a date outright, instead of feeling guilty about his feelings for you.”
“….. oh my god you fucking idiot.”
Don’t ask me how this is resolved because i have absolutely no idea :)

i do indeed have more. these are just smaller headcanons. but i wanna know what ya think about them. 1: jack being overly affectionate and davey pretending not to like it, but knows that jack was never overly affectionate w kath or sarah so it makes him feel special
2: davey having an actual routine that he just sort of drags jack through and jacks just like ‘okay babe whatever works for you’ but really jack gets tired out by it easily
3: sleepy javey snuggles. thats it.
yes. just yes. (side thoughts that I want to throw at you- davey is so petty and jealous sometimes, and I would rather die that back down from that headcanon. I feel like we as a fandom (and I know I’ve  said this) do mostly correctly hc him as the slightly more anxious, a lil’ shy, the introvert of the couple. but- and believe me when I say this- this does not make him an innocent smol bean who does no wrong. this is a guy who is so fucking human that his emotions have their own smaller, subsidized emotions. let him be the boyfriend who’s insecure and jealous of his own friends. don’t make him the sweet little angel if that’s not what he is.)(@we-are-inevitable, I feel like you have opinions on this too)
davey THRIVES off of a routine. not because he loves them, but because they’re a way to shove his mind into nice, soothing, alphabetized boxes. step one, two, three, four. it’s an operational function, not an afterthought. jack’s the opposite- he prefers to be everywhere, doing everything, all the time. having the routine stresses him out more, because then he feels like he needs to follow it exactly or everything’s going to fall apart.
jack is a cuddler. davey’s always cold. it works out pretty nicely.

So earlier I asked yall what AU you wanted for a Sprace fic and yall chose soulmate AU so here you all go.
Race had always believed he didn't have a soulmate. He just didn't see himself as a guy to settle down with a guy or girl. But today was his sixteenth birthday, the day that his soulmate's favorite thing would appear on his collarbone. Medda was throwing him a huge party, even inviting some of the Brooklyn Boys since Medda was like a mom to Spot.
Jack was the first to arrive at Race's party, and the two played card games until everyone else arrived. "GIN!!!" Jack yelled as he jumped out of his chair.
"You nitwit, we're playing Go Fish," Race spat.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Jack said, sensing the anger in Race' tone. "Spot hasn't rubbed off on ya, has he?" Jack joked again, hinting at Spot's angry personality.
"I'm just nervous to see my mark. What if I don't have a soulmate? I mean I always thought I didn't want one but what if I do someday?" Race replied nervously, his voice quivering.
Jack pulled him into a hug, not knowing how else to comfort him. He knew how worried he was when he got his mark, but it had led him to Davey. The love of his life.
As people started to arrive, Race cheered up for the most part. "Everyone gather round! It's almost 5:12, the exact minute Race was born! Ready to see your mark?" Medda asked Race.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Race pulled down his shirt collar, and his breath caught in his throat. He knew exactly who it was.
Part 2?
