the suggestion, albeit sounding quiet teasing, actually brought myriad of butterflies to sayu's stomach. many things were left unsaid throughout these years - many which sayu, herself, was guilty of. to think there were simpler times, when crushing was the most difficult part to deal with but now? now, sayu had to deal with the truth of her birth origin and, well...fully accept herself as the princess of darkness. maybe this wasn't in part of maleficent's plans but at this point, did it matter? what mattered more were present times and everyone's undying effort to detect sora. of course, what also mattered was her relationship with riku, and being transparent with her boyfriend. sometimes it was easy but some days, it was easier said than done. regardless, the shorter woman needed to talk to riku...there were so many things she, herself, never said, after all.

sayu just didn't expect him to approach the topic, but then again, maybe she shouldn't be so surprised - this was years of pinning and will-they-won't-they until neither couldn't take the tension, any longer. with that, the black haired only smiled and looked up at the taller keyblade master. ❛ in that case... ❜ she pauses to take hold of riku's hands, pulling him closer until he's the right height for her to reach. then and there, one hand moves to take hold of his cheek as she moves to peck his cheek and, without hesitation, leaned to his own ear. ❛ could i, too, whisper the things i never said to you, my dusk? there's a lot i haven't said, and i want to... ❜ pausing to slowly pull off, her eyes meet his as she smiles. ❛ it's only fair, you know...? ❜

It was bad enough that they had all put so much pressure on Sora’s shoulder. The boy was so young, and yet so many people expected him to give up everything and anything at the drop of a hat. Slowly, the blonde's hand clenched, her eyes narrowing as he recognized a familiar light within the brunette that he had seen in a younger version of himself. Although, it felt like he saw a lot more Leon in the young hero than himself. There was still darkness lingering inside his own heart. It sometimes got too much for him, and he was afraid internally that it might corrupt those he cared about. 

“I’m alright..I told you before,I’ve handled much worse.” It was true, the blonde had faced a lot worse trading down the path of darkness as long as he had. It was a lonely path. Maybe that’s why he seemed to cling to spending time with the others like this. They used to share cots all the time, so, it wasn’t every surprising to catch any of the others around. Perhaps it was Cloud own wish to keep close to his own lights. Long ago, he had let them slip out of his hands, and regretted it for years. 

Blue eyes froze, as they caught sight of the large scar on Leon’s chest. The other hadn’t talked about it much. They all figured maybe it was tied to a painful memory. It did look like it caused Leon a lot of pain, though, which was even more obvious as the brunet seemed to struggle to get his armor off. Combined with the sore muscles from the countless heartless battles they fought today. With quick reflexes, Cloud catches the high potions, letting out a low grumble before taking at least one. 

“I’m only taking one..who knows what kind of enemy we’ll face tomorrow. Seems they are getting more sneaky. Not surprising but still..I wonder how the kid and the others are doing. It’s been a while since the last time we saw them, right?” 

It was so odd how everyone at the same time remembered Sora, Donald and Goofy. It was almost like some outside force was responsible. Cloud didn’t have the luxury of trying to sit down and figure out who it was or what had happened. Despite being concerned that something had indeed happened to their new friends. 

“Don’t you think it’s strange how suddenly their names popped into our minds at once? Did Rinoa mention anything, since she’s a princess of heart?” asked Cloud, arm resting against his forehead. Sleep didn’t seem to be coming anytime soon, so might as well try and make some sort of conversation. Not like he was the greatest at it. Aerith and Tifa would tease him about that endless sometimes too. 

The man knew the subject of Rinoa was hard considering the two had just recently reunited, even though the circumstances of that were still a mystery to everyone else. If anyone had an answer to some of the more mystical subjects, it would be their own princess of heart. Although, lately, it seemed like Rinoa was trying ever so hard to keep herself from using any sort of magic. Cloud wonder if maybe she was scared of something...if anyone knew it would be Leon. Those two were closer than two peas in a pod, despite how often the female seemed to tease the other. At least Leon seemed a bit happier with her back. Cloud could recall the number of nights he would catch the brunet staring up at the night sky. Almost as if he was lost in memories and regret. That same look he had himself from time to time. 

Cloud hissed, reaching up to grab his forehead, as his right arm hanging over the edge of the bed seemed to glow with a dark aura. Quickly, he turned to grab it, trying to focus on anything but the dark thoughts flowing into his heart. It was unbearable to feel that tiny bit still trying so hard to consume his very soul.

Movie Verse Super Paper Mario AU

Given how long my SPM comic has gotten, and the fact that it's about to become more obvious how much the story deviates from the original (particularly with DK filling the role of Bowser as a hero), I figured now would be a good time to put together a rough outline of the plot points in my AU.

This isn't required reading for my comic, this is just for everyone who wants some extra context and info about how my version of events differ from the original Super Paper Mario.

The story starts out with Mario and Luigi at home. Luigi is talking about how peaceful things have been lately, but unlike in SPM he has absolutely no desire to see this change.

Meanwhile, Mario is trying to pretend he isn't a little bored, and is quietly dropping suggestions that the two of them go off and explore some faraway kingdom to break up the monotony.

Suddenly, Toad bursts in in a panic, and The Mario Brothers are ushered to the castle as Toad hurriedly explains that Princess Peach has disappeared.

The three enter the crime scene: her bedroom shows signs of a brief struggle, but otherwise there is no clue to what might have happened except a letter that reads "If you wish to see the princess again, meet me within Bowser's castle" written in unfamiliar handwriting.

Despite this disappearance not matching Bowser's style at all, Toad and The Mario Brothers have little choice but to believe he has something to do with this. They decide to take the bait.

They enlist the help of Donkey Kong in the rescue mission, figuring it'd be best to have the extra muscle given how likely it is this is a trap (plus the karts are a more reliable form of transportation compared to the warp pipes.)

Despite the addition of a giant gorilla to the team, Mario & co. successfully sneak into Bowser's Castle undetected. The guards don't seem to be on particularly high alert. Stranger still, they can't find the princess anywhere.

When Bowser eventually discovers and confronts them, Mario explains the situation and presents the mysterious letter they found. Bowser is dumbfounded, but insists that whatever happened to Peach can wait until after he kills them.

Before things escalate any further, Count Bleck appears from a portal in sort of a rough recreation of this scene:

Bleck is pleased to see everyone gathered together, and presents the captive Princess "as promised."

Seeing this, Mario immediately leaps to attack the count despite Luigi's desperate plea for him to wait. Like in the game, this causes Mario to get knocked out. Soon after, everyone is sucked away into the dimensional portal except the unconscious Mario.

Mario awoken by Tippi, who– after brief introductions– teleports him away to meet Merlon so they can work together to stop Count Bleck with the help of The Light Prognosticus.

Mario isn't sure how he feels about the idea of prophecies... he doesn't really buy into the idea, despite how much he matches the physical description in the book... but if playing along means Tippi will help him stop Count Bleck and save everyone, he'll do it.

Meanwhile, everyone else awakens to find themselves at Peach and Bowser's wedding. Toad, Donkey Kong, and Luigi do their best to interfere as Nastasia hypnotizes Peach into saying "I Do." Ultimately, Mario's allies fail, and the marriage unleashes the chaos heart.

From there, things continue much like in the game, albeit with a few changes:

As described before, Bowser's role is filled by Donkey Kong. Bowser, in the meantime, aligns himself with Count Bleck to spare his own army from being brainwashed, biding his time until he can usurp the count and gain control of the chaos heart.

Toad is part of Mario’s group too. He isn't mentioned in the light or dark prognosticus, but he is determined to help out nonetheless (and actually does a pretty good job.)

Unlike in SPM, Luigi stays brainwashed the entire time. The first time Mr. L is defeated, Mario and his allies try to grapple him and drag him back to Flipside so Merlon can take a look at him, but Dimentio interfered and "rescued" Mr. L before they could manage it.

O'Chunks, Mimi, Dimentio, and Mr. L work together as a unit after failing their respective attempts to stop the heroes, leading to a couple of instances of all-out battle royale between Bleck's minions and Team Mario. Bleck's Minions, as dysfunctional as they are, don't succeed in stopping the heroes from obtaining any pure hearts despite their combined efforts.

The ending is where things really get switched up:

The main four, having gathered all the pure hearts, start heading to Castle Bleck to destroy the chaos heart.

In the frenzy of everyone preparing for the confrontation, Bowser... knowing that The Dark Prognosticus prophesied that The Man In Green would be the one to bring darkness to all... draws Mr. L away from the group and tries to kill him.

Dimentio, however, saves Mr. L, and working together they successfully incapacitate Bowser enough for Dimentio to send him back to his own dimension.

This rescue– plus the earlier rescue from the clutches of Mario– causes Mr. L to place misplaced faith in Dimentio.

Seeing this, Dimentio comes clean and asks Mr. L to join him in usurping The Count. He lies that Count Bleck has no intention of creating new worlds after destroying the old ones, and offers Mr. L a portion of his own power if he agrees to assist in making sure the universe goes on.

In my version of things, you have to agree to a partnership in order to get implanted with a floro sprout. It's sort of a contractual thing... one can't just plant something in your brain while you're unconscious.

At this point, Mr. L trusts him enough to tentatively agree to his terms and let him in. This is how Dimentio manages to get the sprout seed inside Mr. L's head.

Sure enough, after Mario, DK, Peach, and Toad defeat Count Bleck and his Minions... and just as Tippi begins to get through to the disheartened Blumiere... Dimentio and Mr. L swoop in to swipe the chaos heart and teleport away.

Mario, while rushing to grab his brother, is the only one who manages to get a glimpse of where they teleported to before both Mr. L and Dimentio disappear completely.

He keeps this information to himself as he and Count Bleck's forces hold a truce, tending to the wounded Nastasia and discussing what to do next.

During this meeting, Count Bleck finally answers the question that had been the minds of everyone on Team Mario: why brainwash Luigi? Count Bleck admits the prophecy in The Dark Prognosticus, explaining that he planned on using Luigi to destroy all worlds. What's more, he insists that if they really want to put an end to the chaos heart and the threat it poses, they will have to kill Luigi as well.

This sparks a heated debate. While everyone's shouting Mario says nothing, but silently slinks away from the group to catch up with Luigi and Dimentio on his own.

He knows that the two have merely gone into a chamber deeper within the castle. He knows where to look. If he can just get through to his brother, maybe he can be saved...

Which leads us right up to where my comic begins.

I haven't really worked on any of the fics I dropped on tease bit tuesday, so I went into the vault of wips I have and pulled out the first buddie fic I ever started, buddie/911 in the Once Upon a Time verse. It was posted for a bit on ao3 but recently took it down because I wasn't all that happy with was posted and not having a sense of direction to take it in. But I'm looking back over it, and editing, adding. So I'm sharing a bit of it with ya'll today, test the waters really and see if its something I should keep working on. Hope you enjoy!

Once upon a time….

24 years ago, in the land of Misthaven, a cloud of dark magic thundered across the lands towards the Kingdom of Camelot. At the helm of a large round table sat Sir Robert, the kingdom’s noblest knight.  To his left was his beloved and soon to be wife, Queen Athena who cradled her two children to her chest. But no fear be felled her demure. No great evil could ever shake her resolve and it could be said for many of those that sat at the round table. Many who whose entire attention was on the enterically designed wardrobe that stood in the middle of the table. 

“Are we sure this is what needs to be done?” asked Howard the Hatter.

Sir Robert clenched his fist tight at the tables edge, “The dark curse is among us and there is nothing we can do to stop it.  All that is left is to secure the prince’s future.”

To his right, the great wizard Merlin nodded in agreement, “The magic of this wardrobe is powerful enough to send little Evan far away from his mother’s curse.  We must trust that the one with belief will return him home.”

“And what of the rest of us?” King Michael spoke what many were thinking.

Merlin looked to the man who held his very heart, “I’m sorry my love, but I do not have those answers.  I cannot see past the curse itself and the dark one won’t share his secrets.  We can only hope, and that in itself is powerful enough to see us through.”

The King of Camelot nodded and took the wizards hand, giving it a tight squeeze.

The rest of those around the table conceded with King Michael and Sir Robert took a deep breath, “Bring them in Henrietta.”

The warrior that stood at the opposite of the knight, dipped her head before turning and opening the large wooden doors.  “Princess Maddie, come along.”

A small girl no older than 10 with curling brown hair and wide brown eyes, slowly made her way into the room.  In her arms she carried a very small boy, just on the cusp of turning one.  Blonde curls sat atop his head and framed eyes as blue as the ocean.  But his most distinguishing feature was the pink mark along his left brow.  Many believed it was the mark of his prophesized power, that it told the world of the golden heart that rested within him.  The golden heart that would one day break any and all curses.

Maddie clutched her little brother tight to her chest, her lower lip trembling, “She’s coming for him again. The Evil Queen is coming for Evan.”

Sir Robert looked at the young girl he considered his own and tried to hold his tears, “We do not know why your mother has sent this curse, only that she intends to take the entire land with it and your brother is meant to save us all.”

“He’s just a baby!” the princess spits angrily, making the prince stir in her arms before Maddie quickly composed herself and soothed him with soft shushes.

Isabel, the eldest and wisest among the group rose to her feet, “No child should have the world on their shoulders and all we can hope is that you and Evan can be free of burden until the time comes.”

Tears streamed down Maddie’s face, “How do I do that when only I will know?”

Behind the little princess came a glowing blue light that grew brighter and larger before dwindling out to reveal a dark-skinned woman in a flowing blue dress and shimmery wings.  “Tell him our tales, instill the belief. But most important, love him.  Love Prince Evan as you do now.” The blue fairy answered before bending down and giving the two children a gentle hug.

Maddie returned the embrace with one arm then stepped and faced Sir Robert, “Will I ever see you again?”

The brave knight let one tear roll down his cheek as he gave the princess a sad smile, “We can only hope.”

The thunder of the curse rumbled in the silence and lower in the castle, the sound of battle rung out.  Their time was up.

Princess Maddie climbed atop the table and stepped towards the wardrobe.  Above the noise of battle and magic, the Blue Fairy’s soft lilt rang out, “The last child born to a queen of sorrow shall be given a heart of gold.  His heart alone can save those who are cursed.”

“And on the child’s 25th birthday, he shall return to those who have left, led by the one who has belief.” Merlin finished as the young girl sat within the wardrobe.

“Be safe and have hope.” Athena stated firmly then watched with the rest of those at the round table as the wardrobe was closed and the doors to the room burst open.

“It’s over.” The Evil Queen proclaimed stepping inside with the cloud of cursed magic behind her.

“What will happen to us?” Sir Roberts asked.

The Evil Queen cackled, “The worst imaginable.”

Then darkness.

rotating salem’s songs in my mind again

both polemics against ozma’s deception and manipulation of other people—not salem, others—“show them gods and deities/blind and keep the people on their knees,” “what if all the plans you made/were not worth the price they paid…”

“it was you who ended their lives/made them to dig their own graves/with your dark, sick, cruel design/convinced them their world could be saved/have you no shame?/signing them up for your war/trained them to fight what they can’t beat/your sins are what they’ll pay for” <- this hits even harder after v9 but also like. ‘what they can’t beat’ isn’t salem it’s the abstract idea of division it’s disunity it’s all the bad things ozpin personifies in salem.

‘divide’ isn’t a song about ozpin sending canon fodder after salem it’s about the mandate. with your dark sick cruel design, you convinced them their world could be saved. your sins are what they’ll pay for. the world of remnant cannot be saved redemption is a game mankind cannot win both salem and ozma know this. and if ozma ever summoned the gods… he disobeyed light just as she did. he was told not to seek salem out, but he did. he loves her. the god of light does not forgive. your sins are what they’ll pay for.

Haha, I will GLADLY talk about more worldbuilding nonsense.

So, uh--more made-up KH myths, haha, but I kind of had the idea that there are all sorts of stories about Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade that are only like...partially true. They're an amalgamation of stories that have changed over time as people have told them, with probably a lot of people disagreeing on the specifics. (Which is also 100% my justification for anything someone says about Kingdom Hearts/the X-blade War/etc. that seems to contradict information from earlier; they're all just going off different stories that they've heard, which may or may not be true.) The original idea, though, was that the heart of the original world had to be locked away for its own protection, and a single individual was given the only key to unlock it and charged with protecting it. (...Uh. At least in the Fallen Stars-verse, haha.)

Anyway, I like to think that the X-blade doesn't specifically need to have "13 Darknesses and 7 Lights" to reform; that's just one of many, many stories that cropped up about it. It just needs a large amount of Light and Darkness; essentially, it's a sort of, "When things get out of balance, the weapon will return to give people the ability to access the world's heart and restore it" sort of thing.

Venitas exists because Xehanort THOROUGHLY fucked up. Like--technically the weapon just comes when there's enough light and darkness fighting in an area to cause a significant disturbance, but it's not really supposed to be like...such a big disturbance in a single person. They already had a lot going on just as a person pulled apart (like. The trauma that would've caused them, man--), but if combined with a potential Ancient Darkness/Light--it basically made a mess of things. (Congrats, Xehanort! You have created an entity that is kind of a demigod entirely by accident.)

    What are partakers the Webster's dictionary says it means “? To take part in or experience something along with others or to possess or share a specific nature or attribute

 I remember being in school, and a group of kids always got in trouble, and my mom would say, Lui, go to school and don’t play with those kids. Get your lesson, and basically, she was saying don’t be partakers with these groups of people, don’t do what they do, don’t share the exact nature and attributes as them because if we think about when we are or when people are rebellious, they possess a specific nature about themselves.

   They don’t care to listen. They do what they want, they don’t listen to anyone, and my mom didn’t want me to be that way. She wanted me to continue to be the way she raised me to be. After many years of watching these kids and learning more about them, they all stayed the same. They didn’t change, and some of them moved away. Some of them are in jail as we speak. Still, they didn’t want to listen, and sometimes, when we don’t want to listen, we can cause ourselves a big problem: not hearing God.

    Sometimes, when reading the Bible we have to read the whole chapter to get

more information on a verse we read, so what we are going to do is go back up one verse, maybe even two; it just depends. Let’s read verse 5.

   Verse 5: “For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

   He is telling us not to be partakers in the ones that are sexually immoral or impure idolaters because they won't inherit the kingdom of God because of their attributes. Because of their nature, there's no way they will inherit the kingdom of God. When we look at these attributes, we can see where Paul is saying these are not the ways of a Christian man or woman.

    Many people like to excuse specific sins because the world has gotten comfortable with them. Still, we shouldn’t make excuses for certain sins or try to do them because we see the world has become light-hearted about it. These sins won't inherit the kingdom of God, and we shouldn’t be the ones who try to do them to see how far we get. We won't get far at all.

    Verse 8: You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

     He said you used to partake in sinful ways, but don’t do this; you are children of light now; our light is essential. If we aren’t careful with what we do and be careful with what we spend our time doing, our light will grow to deem  because we allow the darkness in more; it's just like a particular light in the room; once we see the light grow deem we know then that it's about to go out so some of us waste no time, we change it out immediately, but now some of us we wait for it to go out to replace it.

In our walk with Christ we have to be careful if we start to see things in our life that aren’t of Him manifest, we must take care of it instantly,   we don’t want to allow sin or evil thoughts to deem our light because once we do that we are becoming partakers and allow attributes of the world and we become more like less Christ-like, Christ wants us to become brighter consistently and to show his good works through our actions, it’s a verse that says this

   1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” 

   Being friends with someone who has terrible morals can ruin everything. It can ruin you spiritually and mentally because we start to want to do what they do because we think, why do I have to do this when they do that? But what we must understand what people are getting away with now doesn’t mean they will get away with it forever.

   Verse 11: Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

 Paul tells us again that they don’t have anything to do with the fruitless or their deeds of darkness. Expose them, show them their ways, allow them to see what they are doing is wrong, and try to show them the light. We never want to be people who push Christ on anyone we want to direct, and if they don’t accept it. Don’t push the issue. We want to allow God's word in gently and our actions to show how great God is to us!

  We don’t have to be partakers; a lot of us want to be because we feel they are gaining something we aren’t, and that’s not true; we must allow Christ's light to shine through us so they may see that we are different, the world sees Christian’s as people that play both sides of the fence because we compromise for them. We let them think we are okay with their actions, but we don’t have to be. Christ, he didn’t go along with what they did; he didn’t allow what they did to affect him he continued to be who He is at all cost !

***Today we learned about being partakers and a lot of times we allow what others say and what they do to affect us but Christ had many talkes about the inside matching the outside and some of us think we can live a double life and we can’t , Christ wants us not to wait to change . He wants us to do it now.

  Matthew 23:25: “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside, you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

  The Sadducees and Pharisees were hypocrites, and Christ didn’t want us to be this way; he didn’t want us to appear in the form of Godliness but be heathens on the inside; he don’t want us to participate in the world; the verse said clean on the outside and filthy on the inside, because of self-indulgence how many of us self-indulge too much, how many of have to do that one sin, we don’t have to ,all we have to do is pray and fast and allow Christ to help us not to be a partaker in the flesh. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

overall thoughts on tdp??? Now that you’re done watching, which season/story-line/character (besides our iconic queen General and Aunt Amaya 👑) was your fave? Any moments throughout that you really felt or really spoke to you?

The dynamic of characters in this show is so interesting. The theme throughout the whole show is something that resonates with me because it's how I live my life. Despite what you hear about a certain group of people you should have an open mind. This is just some of my thoughts and opinions on some of the characters. There might be spoilers so read at your own risk.

I love Seasons 1-3 and if it wasn’t for the wedding preparations and scenes with Amaya. I wouldn’t have watched season 4. I felt like the whole season was complete filler. The series could’ve ended at the 3rd season and be solid. Season 4 didn’t really get my attention compared to the previous seasons. I hope the story picks up in season 5. I just need more Amaya 😭 lol

Callum starting as a kid who doesn't know where he belongs because he isn't a fighter or have anything useful to help the kingdom. He is the stepson of the king. Turns out he is a mage and he instantly knows that he wants to be a good light mage and nothing like what his former crush, Claudia is. Speaks on his character and reminds me a lot of his mom.

Ezran, such a baby doll, is quirky and awkward. Has a difficulty talking to people and has a special connection with animals. He has a kind heart and sees the good in people. He doesn't allow outside comments deter his judgement on a person. He reminds me so much of Antonio from Encanto. He is a fave for sure. He is a type of King that I would love to see in the real world.One that rules with kind and compassion instead with a drive for power or holier than thou.

Rayla being a moonshadow assassin. While Rayla claims to despise humans, on the inside she doesn't truly hate them. She doesn't see them as lesser beings than herself, unlike the rest of the elves. It causes this inner turmoil on her belief as a moon shadow assassin verses her morals. She constantly checking her morals and doing better. Willing to put her life on the line to do the right thing.

Claudia, her development was scary, I know there's some good but she continues down this dark path, that its sad. I was so hoping that she would run away with Soren. I really hope there is some way she can redeem herself in the upcoming season but I feel like she's so far down the rabbit hole that it's too deep a hole for her to come out of. The reason why I say Claudia's development is scary s because she knows she is becoming darker. Each season she is at a point where she pushes that morality further. She crosses that limit and instead of realizing ok that's enough. She knows it's bad and accepts it with no regret. Only to surpass it again the next time. There is nothing that will stop her to get what she wants.

Soren, at first I didn't care about him because he was this jerk who constantly picked on Callum, but Soren definitely grew. The first season I feel like the creators wanted us to see Soren as this idiot jock that heavily relies on his physical strength. It also didn't help that Viren and Claudia also treated him as such. As the series goes on he is so much more than that. His development throughout the series is one of the best, imo. He has this emotional intelligence that came to a surprise. He does have silly moments where he acts first but then he realizes his mistakes and changes. When Soren realized how he was manipulated by his dad. He went against his dad. This is so hard to do. He loves his dad and his sister so for him to renounce his loyalty from his family and follow the crown. Then on top of that having to go to war and the person you're fighting is your own father and sister. That hits the heart in more ways than one. His redemption arc is honestly chef's kiss. Soren is a good boi.

Amaya, my my my Amaya. She is wife. Once she appeared on the screen I had heart eyes immediately. Like I was already shopping for rings! I think I have a thing for strong stoic types who are really big softies. She's both an immovable object and an unstoppable force in battle. Amaya is thoughtful, honorable, compassionate and smart. Brutal, driven and capable. Pragmatic and adaptable. Her character design and fight choreography is stylish af. I could watch her fight it's like watching a dance. Her shield is honestly really cool and interesting design. Even though she's a tough person that flips switches so fast once she's with her nephews. She turns into this big softy that is so adorable and honestly is why I fell hard for her. She has a heart of gold and isn't afraid to jump into the line of fire to protect the people she loves. Her nephews, Gren, Janai, her soldiers, her kingdom. I could go on about Amaya.

Bait, Bait is the best. I can't get over him. He has a range of emotions and is the bestest boi. He deserves all the tarts.

I can't get over the fact that Amaya threw Bait in a perfect spiral throw. Bait is beauty. Bait is grace.

Okay a description under the cut. It might get long, I'm unsure how to go about explaining. The four vertical lines are locations, not parallel timelines. I don't take absolutely everything into account (you'll notice a lack of direct Triforce and Ganon stuff) but I like what I ended up with!

PS: I've made a few edits to this and the picture since I first edited. BotW and TotK aren't different Links that was my b. I also added more blue lines to the Gods of the Sky spot to illustrate them moving around.

Important thing to note: the only time travel/time shenanigans in this 'verse is with Hyrule Warriors and Ocarina of Time. And Tears of the Kingdom that too.

THIS BEGINS with aliens. The Zonai and the Minish were the same alien species that settled on the planet of Hyrule to escape civil war on their own. They separated early on and adapted to their environments differently. They both lived in the sky for a while, because Hyrule has naturally occuring skylands, and some of the natural fauna were intimidating. (Monsters, dragons, fey, gods.) The Hylians come from the moon. A small group settled on the planet and struggle to adapt. They lost their technology in the turbulent transition.

The Minish remained pastoral and went to the surface to help the emerging Hylian race. The Minish Cap happens. That Link forges the Picori blade and gathers the elements. (His four copies are spectral.) Shortly after him, Four Swords happens, with the most attention on the cryptid four sword kid who came out to save the world and then disappeared back into the woods. (His four copies are independent but not individuals.)

The settlement prospers, the Minish population decreases, and Hylians spread across the world, into 4 distinct geographic areas. The Zonai, also dying out, descend and intermarry with Hylians, in a different geographic area. The beginning of TotK happens, including the massive Imprisoning War. The consequences of this war are far-reaching and devastating.

The Land of Light and Shadow: this area emerges from the war somewhat unscathed, being on the other side of the world. They continue to build their kingdom. This land is named for the parallel plane that is in close contact with the area, being farthest from the planet's moon's orbital path. Things like Light and Force are also strong here, unknowable forces that occasionally grant powers.

The Land of the Gods: this land is named for the gods that have dogged its history and heroes, and is closest to the moon, which is where these extraordinary individuals get their powers and godhood. The Imprisoning War hit them pretty hard, and one of these moon-touched aliens (Hylia) raised settlements into the air. The First Hero is part of this.

The Land of the Fey is where the Zonai chose to descend, and is hit the hardest by the Imprisoning War. Their small colonies are absolutely decimated and the land is salted. Fey are natural creatures, but aren't always friendly. The Zonai technology and settlements remain high in the air, unreachable and usually invisible. Most non-Hylian or non-Hylian-derived species come from this area.

The Great Sea is a series of islands. They barely hear of the Imprisoning War, and only have a small population of Hylians that grows a bit through the islands.

After the war, all of these areas and kingdoms are cut off from each other. Their histories proceed separately for a time.

The Land of Light and Shadow: a group of people move permanently into the Dark World. Link to the Past, Link's Awakening. The kingdom grows. Link Between Worlds reveals the budding kingdom in the Dark World. Twilight Princess deals more with them. Four Swords Adventures (+manga in case you were worried) unlocks more of the Dark World's secrets. (These copies are individuals, and remain so after their adventure.) The kingdom prospers and begins to explore, eventually resulting in another near-globalization. Hyrule Warriors happens, doing a little time traveling.

The Land of the Gods: after rising into the sky, Skyward Sword happens. Hylia is the strongest goddess of the time, and manages to send copies of the Master Sword to the three other lands. People settle on the surface, isolated from any other places. Ocarina of Time happens, but does not create alternate timelines. Hylia takes the people and places displaced by the time shift and plunks them at the beginning of the Great Sea's time. This kingdom expands and fractures, and Hylia's time shenanigans weaken her, so she goes to the fey land to recover. (coughcough was bullied away because people didn't agree with her coughcough) And then Majora’s Mask. Din, Farore, and Nayru rise as the land's patron goddesses instead, instigating the Oracle games. Triforce Heroes happens to a Hylian passing by Hytopia (The copies are simply doppels.) These kingdoms remain small but grow strong. They have the occasional battle. They participate in the globalization efforts.

The Land of the Fey: this land struggles to rebuild. They are plagued by monsters. The fey (fairies, great fairies, satori, dragons) understand it's a problem, but they do not have mortal minds. Eventually they call a hero of their own. Hyrule Fantasy (aka LoZ 1) and Adventure of Link happen. This land is geographically isolated and doesn't really run into anyone else, until the migration from the Great Sea brings technology. Spirit Tracks happens. The great kingdom is built, they build the Divine Beasts and the Guardians, and drive back the Calamity for the first time. Hylia rises again, older and wiser and less powerful. Then Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom happen. Only after that does this land reconnect with those outside of it.

The Great Sea: this area is mostly empty until Hylia places the time-displaced Hyrule on one of the larger islands (called antidiluvian, or before the flood). It wasn't a stable island, though, and most of the kingdom fell under the ocean in a great big wave. People rebuild and make their own cultures. Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass happen. They find the shores of the Land of the Fey, and facilitate a migration to that land.

Each of the yellow stars (and the colorful ones in terms of FSA) represents a different Hero.

Findings from watching the season two opening. Here be spoilers if you haven’t seen it, begone all who seek to avoid those.

Crowley climbs up the rock (and does not look like he enjoys climbing much). Does that mean demons can’t fly? Crowley in particular can’t fly?

There is a moth (butterfly) that starts flying with Crowley and Aziraphale when Crowley lights the match. It’s the first creature that accompanies them. Is it important?

The fuck is this thing. I thought it’s an elephant first? With a trunk? But it’s on fire. Could just be a rock? Whatever it is, the angel with the box (Gabriel?) spawns right behind it. I would say portal to Hell, but angels don’t commonly come out of those. Or do they now? Anyway mysterious fiery thing.

There’s also a bunch of animals in the background of this setting. They seem to be mostly sheep and goats. And there’s huge bones/skeletons. Dinosaurs are fictional in the Good Omens verse, though. (Something about the dinosaurs are a joke thing? Please let it be something about dinosaurs being a joke, I love this bit.)

It’s raining fire and the poor goats and sheep get torched. :( Looking pretty apocalyptic for a season that (maybe) isn’t about the end of the world this time!

There’s the pickled herring from the spoiler/bts pics! And this person looks like Hastur IMO. “Everyday” apparently already died; it’s on a tombstone. What is the person in the back (behind the herring barrel) carrying? A miniature airplane? A rocket launcher? A big camera?

And THEN there’s the lamp with a face and feet guy, walking in front of the person with the headscarf. WTF is with lamp with a face guy. Lamp with a face guy even has a smaller lamp attached to his arm. I do not want to meet lamp with a face on a dark graveyard!

There are some more spooky characters joining the procession as it goes underground. What’s up with red head and a lamp on a stick guy for example?

Lovelovelove Hell with the magma and the giant spider and the office chairs on rocks (some of them upside down). Giant pentagram in the background that seems to be spinning! I loved the basement office hell vibe they used for Hell in S1, but this fiery Hell looks so cool. Creature with bat wings perching on top of a rock! Great vibes, very hellish.

London during the airstrike has a cool blimb, a tank, lots of wreckage, is apparantly a 30 zone, so no speeding, and there’s an ad for Stairway to Heaven. Seems like a play or a movie maybe?

Aziraphale and Crowley with their wings out walk in front of a bus with “wings for victory” written on the side. And then an aircraft throws a bomb on them.

It is raining rabbits in the entryway to the magic show theatre, and there’s person sized and shaped rabbit in the audience. Is it Harry the Rabbit?

Lots of interesting head dresses in the people following after Crowley here, and there’s Beelzebub. They’re being led to meet Aziraphale in his magic uniform, now upgraded with a cape! (He should have worn the cape to Adam’s party, capes are cool.)

Space! Spacespacespace! Look at the planets and stars! Also the tank, it’s still here. And there’s... a rabbit astronaut? With glowing eyes?

Little UFO crossing in front of that moon/planet! Looks a bit like the flying saucer from season 1.

Thy kingdom airways lol! And it’s raining hearts! On Aziraphale and Crowley on the bookshop roof.

“Give me coffee or give me death” is a very metal slogan for a coffee shop. And there’s lots of music themed stuff in the street. There’s a jukebox, a pile of records behind it, that decoration between the street lamps looks like vinyl records cut in half strung up? And the Bentley is there, probably blasting Queen. :D

The skycrapers are elevator shafts. The one in the middle has an angel in it, riding down. Down to Hell? Ding!

It’s the Dirty Donkey! And the movie theatre is called “The Arrival”. It’s screening today! That’s very clever, wonder if the opening will change with the different episode titles? :) Also, there’s the image from the box the angel is carrying again, on the film posters for The Arrival. Can’t tell what it is.

Look at them all walking into the light! They’re going to be enlightened! Or something. But it is a very bright light! Lighthouse! It’s also covered in scrap and  junk nearly to the top. Whatever that may mean. (Guys don't walk into the light, no!)

As I plot out my headcanons and detailed story/history timeline for Thranduil, I realize more and more just how much this poor king lost and suffered as a result of Sauron choosing the Woodland Realm as the headquarters for his comeback.

In SotWK-verse, here is the tally of Thranduil's losses:

His wife. The single love of his life. His soulmate, his primary source of light and comfort, his very heart. She should have been his companion for life, and now he must wait for who knows how long to see her again in Valinor.

His sons. They were good kids; he adored them and they worshipped him. He started with 5, and by the end of the Third Age, he is left with 1. He loses them one by one, each as a result of fighting the Enemy. You hear all those stories of parents driven mad by the loss of one child; multiply that four times. He even loses Legolas emotionally because of their grief. Honestly, how Thranduil managed not to fade from heartbreak makes him the strongest elf in Arda. His is a Silm/First Age-level tragedy.

His home. He once had a beautiful palace that he had built for his wife and their family, where all his children were born and over a thousand memories were made. He was forced to abandon it and move elsewhere like a refugee due to the Dol Guldur infestation.

His realm. At its height, his kingdom once spanned the entirety of Greenwood the Great. Check the maps--that forest is MASSIVE. It was home to the largest elven population in Middle-earth, and his people were happy and prosperous. As the darkness spread from Dol Guldur, his lands shrank as they retreated not only to a small corner in the north-east, but they were driven into underground halls, away from the stars and open spaces they loved. Elves died and ceased to reproduce as they once did, so their numbers shrank too. (Still did not stop the badass Elvenking from fielding an army at BotFA.)

His pride and legacy. In the first part of the Third Age, the Woodland Realm had a thousand years of peace and prosperity under Thranduil's rule, but they were pretty quiet and humble about it. His family was generous and extended goodwill and aid to outsiders who sought or needed it. But when the Woodlands darkened under the Necromancer's influence, outsiders were quick to rename the kingdom, "Mirkwood", or "The Forest of Great Fear", and call his people "more dangerous and less wise". That's what people chose to remember and talk about, not the years of Thranduil's Golden Age. Furthermore, help did not come from other kingdoms in Mirkwood's long struggle, but certain people got angry at Thranduil for not sheltering them when they were attacked and driven from their home. (How does it feel, Thorin? (I still love you, though.))

I mean... it really looks like he lost EVERYTHING because of Sauron, doesn't it? Because he refused to abandon his people, and chose to stay and fight with everything he had.

So maybe he's a bit of a cantankerous, ruthless, closed-up bastard in the events of The Hobbit. Can you blame him? A lesser being would probably be a homicidal, ultra-paranoid maniac after suffering so much. He deserves to behead every orc he comes across, no questions asked. I'm all for mercy, but even I give his rage a pass on this one.

How awkward that I try to keep my blog a source of positive vibes, yet I am writing about the life and family of an utterly tragic character! (I need to make sure I maintain an appropriate fluff-to-angst ratio!!!) But I think the reason I feel compelled to point all of this out repeatedly is to remind y'all: King Thranduil Oropherion is amazingly strong of will, mind, and heart to continue ruling and protecting his people, fighting against Sauron even after he's been beaten down repeatedly for centuries. He always gets back up--stubborn, brave, and unbowed.

WEAKNESS HEADCANON.

In the "King's Journey" verse, Cyrus Leonhardt is renowned for his incredible resilience, unparalleled strength, and unbreakable will. His immense power, both physical and mystical, makes him a nearly invincible force on the battlefield and an indomitable ruler in his kingdom. However, the legend tells of a single, perilous way to subdue this formidable King of Kings: the use of ancient bindings and high-level black magic.

The Legend of the Ancient Bindings

Origin:

The ancient bindings are remnants of a bygone era, crafted by a long-forgotten civilization that feared the rise of beings with extraordinary powers. These bindings were designed not just to hold but to suppress the very essence of their captive's abilities. The lore suggests that these bindings were forged in the heart of a dying star, infused with rare metals and enchanted by the most powerful sorcerers of the age.

Description:

The bindings appear as dark, almost obsidian chains, etched with runes that shimmer with an eerie, otherworldly light. Each link is inscribed with spells of suppression and control (in ancient and forgotten language.) designed to neutralize any form of resistance. When wrapped around a target, these chains sink into the flesh, merging with the body and sapping the strength and will of the captive.

Subduing Cyrus requires more than just the physical bindings; it necessitates a complex ritual of high-level black magic, performed by a sorcerer of unmatched skill and dark intent. The ritual involves a series of incantations that tap into the darkest corners of the magical realm, drawing on the power of shadow and chaos.

- The ritual must be conducted during a lunar eclipse, a time when the barriers between worlds are weakest.

YU-GI-OH! DM — ISABELLA “IZZ” ROOKE

Oh Izz. Izz baby. My girl :3c She's the main character of a DM alternate fic called Soul Release, named after a card that's very important to her. She survived a tragic pileup that killed her entire family. Unbeknownst to her, this event tied her to a freshly-born reincarnation of Anubis named Rin in this verse.

This version of DM also includes a faction of worshippers of Apophis because of the existence of The Prophet of Apophis, a strong leader and manipulator… as cult leaders tend to be.

Aigami/Diva also appears earlier in this story rather than being a post-canon aspect; we get a Kisara reincarnation named Sapha, a German TCG champion; and Battle City gets a top 16 on the blimp with these three OCs especially mixing things up via their being chosen by the Wickeds.

I say “chosen,” but both Yami Bakura/Zorc and Rin/Anubis work together to create them to oppose the Egyptian gods. Yami B and Rin have a… working relationship, very much rooted in “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” They both strive for the pharaoh’s downfall. Rin chooses Avatar for herself while Yami B takes Wicked Dreadroot. Then Prophet blows up the museum, catching Yami B in the blast, and steals it for himself. Rin gives Eraser to Izz because she sees Izz as a puppet Rin can coerce to do her bidding anytime, including opposing the pharaoh.

Izz moves to Yugi and co’s school. She’s fairly distant from everyone in her life because of the tragedy, but they are kind to her and she is kind in turn. She wins local tournaments and tops regionals because, in order to hide from grief, she fixates on Duel Monsters deckbuilding and ratios and meta etc. This is enough to earn her a Duelist Kingdom invite. Overall, she’s an anxious mess who needs a hug and isn’t sure how to properly interact with other people anymore. She feels like a cataclysm waiting to happen again and again.

Now the elephant in the room! You see her with the Pyramid of Light. Rin approaches Izz after her first regional win. Izz is weak at the knees for beautiful women (and men—everyone is a bi disaster, remember?). Rin explains she hosted the tournament and forgot about a particular prize. She compliments Izz’s dueling and gifts her the Pyramid of Light, saying she’d like to get to know her better. Izz is flabbergasted and accepts the Pyramid, asking only what it is. Rin only describes it as valuable jewelry and recommends Izz keep it on her person.

The iridescent swirls in the pyramid’s sky blue are mesmerizing to Izz, and staring at it provides an indescribable comfort… and focal point to keep her grounded/stop her out of body experiences such that she does indeed wear it constantly

This has an unintended side effect

See, Izz wears a necklace (in the artwork, matches Dark Magician Girl’s pendant) that just so happens to contain the ancient and slumbering spirit of Mana. Being so close to the dark energy of the Pyramid of Light stirs her, and she becomes Izz’s ghost like companion similar to the pharaoh and Yugi. Mana is always trying to be a positive influence on Izz where Rin is like the devil on her shoulder. Izz often makes mistakes and trusts the wrong people, hurting her friendships with the gang and repairing them again.

Her using Wicked Dreadroot however… that one will certainly be difficult to come back from.

And as for pairings, I’m undecided and going so many directions! I would probably have to write it all out.
