hello everyone!! i know i've been gone for a couple months, however i'm ready to come back! these last few months have been a whirlwind, so i thank all of you for sticking around (including those who decided to follow me during my impromptu hiatus <3)

so as a little come back event, i decided i'll be doing KINKTOBER this year!!

because it's spooky month, every one of these prompts will have a horror/ dark theme. as such, all of these fics contain dark content. specific trigger warnings will be on each post, so no unwelcome surprises!

not sure if anyone's done this but i figured maybe i'd write up a post talking about which BD items in the void within prize pool are most worth it, if anyone's feeling conflicted or not certain:

you should absolutely get these no matter what tier:

wand of the dark faerie, thunder sticks, and thyora's tear. your order of priority could change depending on if you already have a 100% freezer like sleep ray, but i strongly recommend that you try to get all 3 of these at the end of the day if you don't already own them. the odds of any of these being directly powercrept or deflating enough to not wipe out the bank account of your average neopian is extremely unlikely, and there are no alternatives that won't leave you hurting for the real things, regardless of what level of BD pet you're interested in achieving.

you might need this, but be prepared to possibly replace it tier:

grapes of wrath. it's a straight upgrade on average to something like ghostkerbomb, though it deals 1 icon less than varia, but it can also be used more than once unlike varia. if you're lacking in literally any other multi-use weapons that can deal 24 or more icons on average (so, if you didn't get lucky with getting an attack pea), grapes will be an upgrade to what you have. however, if TNT follows through on what they said about wanting to make seasonal attack pea (which is 28 icons) available again after the advent calendar fiasco, plus assuming you get all three of the weapons in the above tier, you might also find yourself not having room for it sooner or later. but if you're hurting for a lot of icons right now, it's not a bad buy at all, assuming a plot weapon doesn't release that also deals 24+ icons.

situational tier:

extra loud techo fanatic megaphone. techo megaphone is good at what it does, which is dealing good damage while defending against air. whether or not you'd ever need this, especially if you have access to feel better soup + are going to get thyora's tear (you should), really really depends. could be a worthwhile pickup if you've got points to burn, but at risk of getting powercrept.

not worth it unless you're a collector:

literally every other BD item in the prize shop. i recommend ignoring everything else unless it's one of the non-HT items and it fits your collection theme somehow. if you want reif or something i’d just save up for a discount at HT.

It was a beautiful day and Kamado Tanjiro was on his way home from school when he noticed a dark figure running in the distance.

The young man blinked in shock as the figure came closer to him, but just before it made it to him, it took a rough turn and hid in a dark alley.

"What the...?" Tanjiro stopped and peeked into the alley, but then-!

"Oi, Kamado!"

Tanjiro flinched and turned to see Officer Shinazugawa running in his direction.

"Oh, officer!" The young man smiled, "Good after-!"

"I don't have time for chitchat!" The scarred man shouted as he stopped before the student, "Have you seen a criminal go past here?!"

"A criminal?" Tanjiro repeated, shocked, "Why, what did they do?"

"They were scavenging behind a grocery shop, again! They have been reported multiple times, but this time I managed to get them on time, only for the fucker to take off!"

Ah, Tanjiro understood, but he could feel your eyes on his back, even if the owner of said eyes wasn't in plain sight.

So the young man swallowed as tried his best to control his bad lying and pointed down the road, "I saw someone head that way...!"

"Thanks, kid!" The Officer thanked him and rushed off. As soon as he was gone, Tanjiro let out the air he was holding, turned, and stepped into the alley where the thief was hiding.

"Is anyone here...?" He asked carefully and peeked behind dumpsters and saw a shadow hiding behind one. That was you.

"Oh, there you are!" The young man smiled as he stopped in front of your dark figurine and then he noticed an apple clutched in your hands.

"That apple-?"

"Mind your own business, this is my apple!" You hissed like a venomous snake and Tanjiro flinched a little, realizing that you were a girl.

"I- I'm sorry-!" Tanjiro moved to offer his hand to you, but you suddenly flinched and that didn't go unnoticed by the good-hearted young man.

"A- Are you okay?"

"O- okay, you can have the apple!" You stuttered but your voice wavered as if you were trying your hardest not to cry as you threw the apple at him, "Take it!"

Tanjiro caught the apple with ease and looked at it. It was bruised and a little soft and he doubted that it would taste as good as a fresh apple would.

"I don't want-!" He was saying and you flinched as you raised your arms to protect yourself, as if he was about to hit you... Which he was definitely NOT doing!

"Just, please don't hurt me!" You cried out and Tanjiro could see you shiver but worse, he could see scars all over your bare arms.

Realizing what was going on, Tanjiro frowned as he bent his knees so he could be on the same level as you were.

"Is someone hurting you?" Tanjiro asked and you hissed quietly, "What, why...?"

"Because if someone is hurting you then it should be brought to law enforcement and you should be protected!" He exclaimed, feeling the sense of justice flare inside him.

"We need to tell Officer Shinazugawa and-!"

"No!" You cried out, "He shouts just like Megatron does...!"

Tanjiro frowned, "Is that who is hurting you? Someone called Megatron?"

"N- not anymore..." You shook your head, "Not anymore..."

"That's good..." Tanjiro could understand that you must have been traumatized by this Megatron, whoever that was.

"My family owns a bakery nearby," He said with a gentle smile, "If you want, you can come with me and get something warm and fresh to eat?"

"W- what's the catch?"

"No catch." He offered his hand to you, "Just some food and safety."

You started at him and his hand like you expected him to hit you the moment you chose to trust him, but finally, you nodded, took his hand and he helped you up.

As you got up, your jacket fell from you and Tanjiro could see your short messy hair and crimson eyes that looked at him with such conflicted feelings. Like you wanted to trust him, but you quite couldn't.

And your wings. They were metallic and dark, clearly not organic.

"Y- You have wings!?" He stuttered and you nodded quietly as you reached for your worn-out jacket.

Tanjiro blinked, "You could have flown but you chose to run?"

"You organics don't have wings…" You muttered as you pulled the jacket harder around you, "So mine would attract unwanted attention…"

"I see..." Tanjiro nodded as he led you away from the alley and as you walked toward his family's baker, he asked you, "What do you mean by organics?"

"It's a long story..." You grumbled as you looked around you, almost paranoid that anyone or this Megatron could jump out of anywhere at any given moment.

Tanjiro was mad that someone had hurt you so badly it left you so untrusting, but he was eager to help you.

It took a second, but you made it to his family's bakery and Tanjiro took you inside where you were hit by the scent of warmth and fresh bread.

"Big brother!" Tanjiro's younger siblings cheered as their big brother came back home. Amongst them was Tanjiro's younger sister Nezuko.

"Brother, who is this?" Nezuko smiled kindly to you and you flinched a little, taking cover behind Tanjiro's back.

Before he could reply, their mother came back from the kitchen with a fresh patch of bread in her hands.

"My, are you my son's friend?" The gentle lady asked and you blinked but before you could answer, Tanjiro did it for you, "She is pretty hurt and may need a place to stay for a moment."

"Then, she is welcome here." The mother smiled but then she noticed the scars on your arms and she realized the seriousness of the situation.

"Kids, why won't you head upstairs and get a bath started for our guest?"

"Yes, mother!" The kids save for Nezuko rushed to the back and Nezuko gently helped you out of your jacket, "Here, let me get this washed for you!"

"I-!" You were about to object, but the moment the jacket came off, your wings flared a little, shocking both women a little.

"My, you must be a real angel!" The mother smiled as she placed a gentle hand on your scarred upper arm and motioned you to follow her, "Let's get you and your wounds cleaned up. Tanjiro, will you be dear and look for the register while me and your sister help her?"

"Of course, mother!" Tanjiro smiled as he took charge of the shop, but as you were taken back, he smiled at you, "Don't worry, you're safe here!"

You looked like you wanted to object, but you couldn't, not when all he had shown you until now was pure kindness and care, just like his family also.

So you believed him, and you really did.

A medida que las temperaturas descienden, la ebullición de emociones persiste y el aire se mantiene tenso. La atmósfera permanece tensa, marcada por la revolución anarquista que sacudió los cimientos de más de uno. El influjo de la muerte de la baronesa aún se siente entre callejones oscuros y las sombras de los rascacielos. Los vástagos, antaño soberanos de la noche, ahora se ven restringidos por un toque de queda impuesto por el príncipe durante las horas de mayor concurrencia de humanos en las calles. 

Metrópolis se convierte en jaula, habitantes vampíricos sintiendo la presión constante de la vigilancia de aquellos guardias que pasean en cada esquina, recordatorios vivientes de la nueva realidad impuesta. El príncipe ha demostrado su autoridad de una manera que no se había visto en mucho tiempo, y los vástagos están ansiosos por liberarse de sus garras. 

Ante esta opresión, la noticia de un viaje a una ciudad en el corazón de japón se propaga entre los vástagos como un rumor salvador. Kyoto, se extiende majestuosa como un tesoro resguardado en el tiempo, con sus adoquines y una tradición profundamente arraigada, representa un refugio alejado del escrutinio del príncipe. Las posadas japonesas, con sus techos de paja y jardines serenos, prometen un respiro en medio del caos urbano de Tokyo. Bajo el manto estrellado, los tejados de las antiguas casas de madera y los templos históricos se recortan en la penumbra, perfilados por el suave resplandor de farolillos de papel que danzan con la brisa. 

Para algunos, este viaje brinda la oportunidad de relajarse y olvidar, aunque sea momentáneamente, las tensiones que les agobian. Otros, por otro lado, ven en Kyoto la ocasión única de establecer vínculos con la comunidad local de vampiros. En esta antigua ciudad, se rumorea que yacen saberes bien cuidados por maestros de diversos clanes, muy dispuestos a enseñarle a quien se acerque desde la generosidad. Aún cuando uno esperaría lo contrario de seres sanguinarios, es esencial que les abrace la calma para poder ser considerados dignos de un nuevo aprendizaje. Todo lo que deben hacer es abordar el tren Shinkansen en el momento preciso para emprender un breve viaje.

Siendo propiedad de los mismos maestros, la posada se presenta como la elección más lógica para hospedarse durante unos días. Aún cuando susurros tenebrosos infunden horas diurnas con sus relatos siniestros, obligandote a creer que hay algo más que el ruido del bambú chocando contra sí detrás de cada cuidado ventanal, ¿a qué le puede tener miedo un gran, fuerte, y temeroso vástago como tú — cierto?

¡Bienvenidos a la octava actividad, Vástagos! En esta ocasión, nuestros vástagos emprenderán un viaje hacia la ciudad japonesa de Kyoto, lejos de la metrópolis moderna y las presiones que trae. Muchos sólo buscan relajarse lejos de la mirada del príncipe en las tradicionales posadas japonesas, mientras que otros aprovecharán el viaje para encontrarse con la comunidad local de vampiros que los ayudarán a desarrollar sus habilidades. 

Cada vástago contará con el lujo de tener una habitación individual para sí mismo, contando de una confortable cama doble y un baño propio. Los espacios de desayuno podrán ser utilizados como sala de estar para quienes no quieran acomodarse allí, estos son espacios comunes, así como también lo son bañeras de hidromasajes exteriores y las grandes ollas de aguas termales. Algunos de los lugares que se pueden encontrar alrededor de la posada son el bosque de bambú de Arashiyama y Sagan, el puente Togetsukyo y el río Hozugawa. Aquí pueden encontrar fotos ambientales que hemos elegido de algunos de esos sitios, y también pueden visitar este sitio para ver más imágenes del hospedaje. 

⦾ La actividad se llevará a cabo en la posada y sus alrededores durante cinco noches, los invitamos a situarse en el tiempo y espacio que les resulte más adecuado para sus personaje. Si algunos, por la razón que fuese, prefieren pasar menos días en la ciudad de Kyoto, son libres de hacerlo. La estadía mínima es de tres noches.  

⦾ Se desarrollará a través de sentence starters que estaremos publicando dentro de unos minutos. 

⦾ Durante esta actividad no habrá código de vestimenta. Aún así están invitados a publicar lo que están vistiendo sus personajes durante LOS días donde se sitúa la actividad y luego rebloguearlo en el blog de ediciones. 

⦾ En celebración de noche de brujas y el segundo mes de rol, estaremos realizando una fiesta a través de la plataforma Discord la noche del 3 de NOVIEMBRE. Serán provistos con más detalles conforme nos acerquemos a la fecha. 

⦾ Queremos recordarles que, a pesar de ser un grupal de temáticas sensibles, nuestra prioridad es la comodidad de todes nuestres usuaries por igual, así que les pedimos tengan cuidado con la manera con la que se abordan estos tópicos en el dash ya que se trata de un espacio compartido y pedirles por favor que no hagan caso omiso a la lista de triggers que se encuentra actualizada para que puedan hacer uso correcto de cada etiqueta.

Como siempre, publicaremos el cierre de actividad un día antes del comienzo de la siguiente, es decir, el cierre se publicará el día 4 de NOVIEMBRE y la actividad siguiente comenzará el 5 de NOVIEMBRE.
