I also hate how stuff like this goes, I hate how people in love arrows treat the person who both the others like as a prize and not human, I promise Usagi is NOT going to be treated like that.

Both the bros genuinely like Usagi, the competition is just because they’re both extremely competitive and are unwilling to sacrifice their own feelings but also want their sibling to be happy.

I love Spirit Hunter: Death Mark's approach to the amnesia trope and the question of "If you can't remember who you were, are you even the same person?"

A lot of narratives play around with the weight of that, only to turn around and say "Of course you're the same, who else would you be?" The character gets their memories back and they're suddenly exactly as they were before, maybe with a life lesson along the way.

But Death Mark doesn't. Without all the knowledge and experiences of Masamune Kujou, Yashiki is fundamentally a kinder and less apathetic person, without any sort of prompting. Even when confronting dangerous spirits out to kill him, he takes the time to learn their stories and show them some small form of kindness. He listens to the recording of who he used to be, and he can't reconcile the callousness that Masamune had towards the deaths caused by his mistake with the way he feels about them, to the point where he doesn't even go back to using the identity that he's worked so hard to remember. Even when the game gives you the option to forgive Masamune, the options are still "It had to be done" and "I can't forgive him" because Kazuo Yashiki and Masamune Kujou are not the same.

And I think that's a way more interesting take than the protagonist just reverting back into the same person they were despite all the experiences we saw them go through.

Because I’ve seen it said so many times to suggest BuckTommy are not compatible. Tommy not dressing up and Buck being a bit down trodden and annoyed about it was the point and part of the reason why Tommy turning up at the end like he did worked!

He put himself out above and beyond by the end because he promised he would- Buck didn’t expect him to because we haven’t really seen anyone romantically do that before for him. But Tommy did, he arrived after a hellish 18 hour shift, tired and dirty but he made Evan a promise that he would be his date and he showed up! Something much more important than the fact he wore a Henley to the Bachelor party.

And that’s why he calls him a beast, that’s why he’s giddy and can’t stop smiling and why he kisses him like he does in almost gratitude and lust at everything.

(Also worth stating from Buck’s side I think his arc in the ep was about letting go and not needing everything to be ‘perfect’ too. The letting go happens when he parties. Then after he sees his sister and friends wedding not turn out how it planned but to them it was still perfect. His bf arrived late but it was perfect and he didn’t come out in the ‘perfect’ , planned, dance together at a wedding way but he came out in the most Buck way possible- the perfect way for him).

No but i completely unintentionally made b!elevens size a metaphor for his greed and detachment from others. Like i just did it because haha tall men hot the naraals are tall but like

He literally cannot live in regular society or interact with it without imposing himself there. Has to have everything prepared for him in advance or custom made. Cant be in regular vehicles cant be in restaurants cant go through most DOORS ?? He probably only stays at his own hive or at his work place which he probably made fitting for him or at events where they have to accommodate him in advance. He is completely detached from other trolls as people and only really uses them to get more things. Money, sex, fame, ego-boosts etc. None of it really makes him happy more than momentarily because he has no purpose in life. He always "wants" more like it'll make any difference but it never does because he just. Does not care.

At the end of the day he's just playing out a role like everyone else on Beforus. He needs more money to appear successful on his own terms, needs more cullees to appear caring, needs his descendants to succeed to appear capable... Really he's just alive because he "has to" be. He's playing a part, and he hasn't been enthusiastic about it for a very long time.

Yknow, its really hard to discuss tumblrs recent decisions, because 90% of the posts discussing them are either factually inaccurate or show a lack of understanding about like, the reality of running a website (or both. Often both.)

But also tumblr continues to make decisions that Are completely insane and could not in any world actually contribute to increased revenue. So like. Theres no winning.
