I spent thirty minutes in the pharmacy as the pharmacists considered one vitamin D3 supplement after another. Blood work showed I'm low, so I need to take a higher amount than I'm currently taking. But finding a vegan vitamin D supplement is still a struggle in the pharmacy.
"This one doesn't have gelatine," says one of them.
"But you also need to know the source of the vitamin D," I say. "It usually comes from sheep's wool. If it's doesn't explicitly say it's vegan, it's probably not."
"This one is vegetarian, but not vegan," says another.
"Yeah," I reply. "If it comes from sheep's wool, it would be vegetarian, but not vegan."
She nods.
There's one supplement that has vegan vitamin D, but it's D2, and that doesn't absorb as well. Not good for when you need to increase your levels.
"I've found one in Holland & Barrett, but it also contains vitamin K2," I say. "Is that okay to take?"
No, vitamin K is fat-soluble, so it's probably not a good idea to take a higher than required amount for a longer period without knowing I am deficient.
"Okay," I conclude. "I'll find something online, then. I figured I'd try here first, though. Sorry for taking up all your time."
"No worries," they reply. "We're open until six anyway."

Also, exercise, Multivitamin, vitamin d, & fish oil will fix like 80% of mental problems. I was on antidepressants for 11 years & then i started taking my health more seriously. i suddenly felt like life was worth living when i would exercise in a way that was fun to me. I still have bad times & flashbacks but i am alive and you gotta hang in there to be alive because there are things you might regret dying before seeing.
