Sooo... how do you guys like my new avatar? It's not exactly dark and mystical like I'd like it to be, but then again neither was my old avatar. I honestly had no inspiration with that one and decided I just wanted something pretty. XD

Credit where credit is due, this is from a game coming out next year called "Little Kitty, Big City". The trailer for the game itself is hilariously adorable, and there's a free demo on Steam and I just... get it. Get it. Get the demo. Seriously. Go get it. Now. I SAID NOW.

Also, no I'm not sponsored by the developers or anything (do people even get sponsored on Tumbr?). I just found someone playing this game and I'm in love with the demo. I've played it about four times over the past three days, and I played all the way through each time.

I can bring up a link to the video, but I'd like to ask the creator of the video if she's okay with it before I do anything. Call me overly cautious, but... yeah, I'm overly cautious with everything. XD

#i think those ai chaeracter rps are goofy as hell #i've played around with them a few times to see what it was all about. they play up the personalization too much it's not THAT customizable #i tried feeding it some sans lines back when i was doing the rp to see if the machine was capable of identifying his speaking style #since i'd essentially done the same thing just manually. i wanted to see how good it could get it #huge disappointment as predicted #i WILL give character.ai one thing though. hilariously not for its characters. there's this one tool called brainstorming that's super hand #you throw ideas/concepts at it & it throws back clarifying questions based on what you sent in. like playing tennis against a wall #essentially a dynamic version of those writing tip lists like what's the significance of this event for x. what conflict arises etc #optimally this is stuff you do with a friend. and truly nothing beats brainstorming with another writer. honest.#but if you're fully throwing spaghetti at the wall in the roughest stages of an idea it's a quick way to cycle through some basic what-ifs #pretty fun toy all things considered. but it stops being useful the moment things start shaping up forreal #answered asks

I have never been able to get into the dragon age games for one reason or another but I took a chance on Veilguard and I am having so much fun!!!

#it fixed almost everything that bugged me about the other ones #it’s extremely newcomer friendly too which is great cause I have no clue about anything #I absolutely adore Rook and the level of customization you can add to a mostly linear character #I was worried I’d keep comparing it to bg3 but they’re really not that comparable???#like aside from both being highly customizable fantasy RPGs they both have unique strengths and weaknesses #and I just don’t see the need to put one against the other #so far Lucanis is the standout fav #which surprises me but also doesn’t #I did just meet Emmrich five minutes ago so perhaps the old man will win me over yet #I actually am fond of all of them so far #anyway I don’t see myself getting into this game the way I’m into bg3 #I lack the necessary nostalgic attachment a lot of people have for this world #but it’s an extremely fun game and I do see myself playing it for a long time #I recommend so far 👍#life #Hannah plays veilguard

i was talking about this Elsewhere but

obviously a characters gender can and should and does inform their writing and color how we perceive that writing

but also i think if you as a writer cant write a story and dialogue for a character that is meaningful and interesting regardless of what gender that character is, without changing anything between iterations

thats actually a failing on your part and maybe you should work on that

i know i never shut up but MAN i love claus and ninten so much. as characters and as a romantic pairing and everything else ever. they make me so happy i cant put it into words i just Will squeal and scream over them. they’re all i draw. i made them in tomodachi life and stopped at nothing to make sure they got married. i made them in the sims and whenever i am sad i open it up and just observe them being all cute and domestic. my ff14 character is ninten. my code vein character is also ninten. when i play dragons dogma 2 my character WILL be ninten. i make my own merch of them. I have plans to make a doujin for the two. i’m learning rpg maker just so i can make little moments where the two interact in a video game because i need it. they’ve fully rotted my brain. scientists will pick through my brain when i die to find my two little dudes engrained in my head

While it is sad that Fire Emblem doesn't do already married couples like Louise and Pent anymore. Saizo and Kagero being Cannon exes is so fucking funny and I don’t think we'd get that dynamic without the avatar obligation.
