WE HAVE REACHED FULL FUNDING WITH THE GAME! Which is excellent, because it means that my little hyperfixation is gonna be made!

However!

It would be very nice if we could reach some of the stretch goals (which go into depth here: x). Not only are they fun (MC customization, a switch port, expanded voice-over work, more sprites, mini-games, side stories), but I think they'd spark a lot of serotonin for folks playing (myself included).

Our Full Game will Feature:

Six Character Routes: There will be six character routes in total, each one exploring the individual stories of our diverse cast of Love Interests (LIs)! There are two men, two women, and two non-binary folk to choose from. Half of our cast is aspec, as well!

Secret Story Route: If you play through all six character routes, you'll unlock the secret story route! It's designed to tie up the broader narrative aspects of the game, and you can choose which character route is "canon" to your play through!

Flexible MC: Choose your preferred name and pronouns (including neo pronouns) and romance whomever you please! (We even have a stretch goal to customize MC's sprite appearance, too!)

Platonic Options: Not into romance, or don't want to romance them all? Not to worry! All routes can be played platonically.

Multiple Endings: Each route has two endings based on the health of your relationship with the LI, regardless of whether it's romantic or platonic.

English-Gaeilge Lexicon: Our game features translatable Gaeilge (Irish) words and phrases, and in the full game, translations will be voiced for ease of pronunciation!

Voice Acting: The main cast will have limited voice acting in the full game. Check our Kickstarter page periodically for voice actor reveals and samples!

Other Features (Stretch Goals): Side stories in-between route releases.

Demon Princes react to you asking if you can stay with them after a nightmare

🖤 He gets a look of surprise followed by a cocky smile after answering the door and you ask to stay with him after a nightmare. Of course you'd come to him to protect you. Even if there is no real threat.

🖤 He will ask what the nightmare was about. But don't get the wrong idea! He's just curious. And wants to know the best way to comfort you.

🖤 Allows you to stay in his room. He makes a bed for you on the couch. What? You thought he'd give up his bed to a mortal? Ugh, fine. You can have it for the night. But only because you look so pitiful.

🖤 If you ask to stay in his bed with him then his face flushes red and he sputters for a moment before "reluctantly" giving into the request on the first try. He barely touches you all night besides a few comfort pats, mostly because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable enough to change your mind and leave.

Malthus

💙 He's both shocked and annoyed that you'd knock on his door in the middle of the night. Aren't you supposed to be sleeping anyway?

💙 Oh? A nightmare? Alright you can come stay for a little while. He'll try his best to take your mind off of it.

💙 Surprisingly offers to let you stay in his bed and he'll sleep on the couch. It's just one night, and it's not as if he hasn't fallen asleep at his desk before.

💙 If you say you want to sleep close to him tonight then his cheeks light up and he goes speechless. He awkwardly accepts but much like Alastor he's rather afraid of chasing you off so he tries to mostly keep his hands to himself.

❤️ As soon as he hears you sobbing at the door it's swinging inward and he's pulling you in and asking what's wrong.

❤️ A nightmare? And you came to him? And you want to sleep with him tonight? Of course! He'd be delighted to let you sleep with him! Oh, the innocent sleep. Well that's fine too!

❤️ Immediately brings you over to the bed and lets you snuggle down into the covers and make yourself comfortable.

❤️ He stays very close all night, at least one arm is wrapped around you at all times as you two talk throughout the night before falling asleep.

💚 When he first answers the door he's very grumpy. Who the hell is bothering him at this hour?! But when he sees you standing there in your night clothes looking like you're about to cry his expression changes to worry.

💚 He pulls you inside his room quickly. What's going on? Are you hurt? Is someone after you? Oh, a nightmare. Must have been a really bad one...

💚 Wait... you want to stay with him after a nightmare? He gets a sense of pride that you'd come to him over his brothers. He's glad to know that you'd come to him first.

💚 Wait... stay together... in his bed...? Oh! His cheeks flush and he shyly accepts to let you stay with him. He's rather respectful about your personal space at this time, but if you want to, he's not at all opposed to some cuddling.

The Alaris Kickstarter is officially LIVE

The day has arrived, and our Kickstarter campaign is officially launched!

Alaris is a fantasy-romance visual novel steeped in a world of magic and inspired by the lore of Dragon and Fae. In this story, you are a renowned healer who suddenly finds yourself mixed up in a the affairs of mysterious strangers, from a world that has always existed just on the outskirts of your awareness.

The estimated release is late 2023, and the game will be available on itch.io and Steam! The demo, which currently covers the common route, and spans 60,000+ words is available on itch.io and Steam.

Alaris has a variety of features and choices to allow for a more immersive experience.

A Customizable Protagonist: Take charge of your fate by customizing your name, pronouns, and even personality!

6(+) Different Romantic Routes: Each route features a unique story for our love interests. Because each love interest only holds part of the full truth, you will have to play all routes to understand the entire history of Alaris and uncover all the secrets of the world!

Personality: With an expansive personality feature, Alaris lets you shape your personality with a combination of four traits: Bravery, Kindness, Wisdom, and Charisma. Character Profiles: Revisit dates that you've been on with any of our love interests. Hear a small sample of voiced lines from each of them. And rewatch CGs you've unlocked.

These are just a few of the features planned for Alaris, some of which you can preview in our demo. In the full game, we also hope to include approximately 500,000+ words of content, 48+ unlockable CGs, and at least 6 character routes.

You stare at yourself in mirror, slightly down upon realizing that all the weight you’ve gained has gone into your thighs and butt, making you unable to fit in your old pants.

Having A Quiet MC

I’ve always been a quiet person, and usually, that means I go unnoticed by most people, so I find it really sweet when people take the time to notice the quiet ones in a crowd. Welp, anyways! Enjoy some HC’s with this topic in mind!

Zen

Picking a photo for Zen is literally impossible! I have so many favorites that I just can’t stick to one photo TT

- Zen is an excellent conversationalist.

- He makes a point of giving you ample time to verbally express yourself.

- Not only that, he’s also eager to give you feedback and ask questions about everything you're passionate about!

- He loves seeing how you light up when you talk and he loves hearing your deepest thoughts.

- He never judges you or your interests, he’s just happy to talk with you about everything and anything.

- But he doesn’t even realize that you’re a naturally quiet person until he sees you in a crowd.

- Suddenly the talkative, passionate, and comfortable person that he knows and loves, becomes quiet and reserved.

-He tries to get you involved in crowded conversations, but once he sees how uncomfortable it makes you or how everyone tries to talk over you, which clearly upsets you, he stops forcing something you’ll do when you feel comfortable.

- So he watches you during conversations, ready to be there If you want to speak up but no one is listening. When those moments happen, he’ll open the door for you, and if that doesn’t work he’ll exit the conversation just to hear what you have to say.

- Bonus: after realizing that you’re not as talkative as he once thought, he begins to enjoy the silence with you. He learns to slow down and admire you in the silence. He finds the beauty in wordless company, finally understanding why you look for silent moments throughout the day—but of course, he’s always ready to talk with you if that’s what you want.

Jumin

- Jumin has to be a conversationalist because of work, but outside of social events, he’s also quiet, so your quietness doesn’t bother him in the slightest.

- You guys can sit for hours without speaking and neither one of you find it uncomfortable or awkward.

- Now, that doesn’t mean you never talk to each other. On the contrary, you guys share long and in-depth conversations that last just as long as the spells of silence.

- Talking with you is incredibly important to Jumin, so he makes sure to stop everything just so he can give you his undivided attention, and you do the same for him.

- However, for the most part, you two are more than comfortable just quietly enjoying your time together without much conversation.

- You guys are really good at communicating through eye contact and simple body language.

- He can read when your silence is positive or negative. He can tell when you actually feel like talking or when all you want is to enjoy the conversation from the sidelines.

- He never feels upset if you don’t talk as much as a “normal” person would, he simply enjoys you as you are, and if you ever want to change your talking habits, he's more than happy to help, but he’d never force you.

Yoosung

- Yoosung is pretty talkative, albeit he’s awkward at first, but once he gets in a groove he can talk for days if people let him. However, he’s not the greatest conversationalist.

- Despite this, Yoosung wants to have conversations with you and tries his hardest to give you opportunities to speak, but he quickly realizes that you don’t say much.

- Of course, he has to ask the forbidden question, the one to end the age, “Why are you so quiet?”

- He didn’t mean anything by it, most people don’t mean anything by it, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a ridiculous question.

- You looked at him, partly annoyed and partly amused by the stupidity of it all.

- “Does it bother you?”

- Seeing that your mood suddenly took a shift, he's quick to backpedal, “no, no, just curious, I guess.”

-You lightly chuckle to release the irritation that had built up in you, “I’ve always been on the quiet side,” you shrug. “I like listening to others and observing their talking habits, but honestly, I just don’t have very much to say.”

- He mulled over your words for a minute, “I always have something to say,” he chuckles with that cute smile you love.

- “I know,” you smiled, “and that’s okay. I like listening to what you have to say.”

- Yoosung struggled with giving you opportunities to talk, but he always put all of his effort into your relationship and tried his best to avoid one sided conversations.

- After the first few months he got a lot better and the communication aspect of your relationship grows stronger everyday.

Seven

- There are some things that legal documents and hacking can’t teach you about a person, things that Seven had the pleasure of learning on his own.

- Despite your witty and sunny personality in chatrooms and phone calls, Seven found that you’re a less than vocal person in real life.

- You were a great conversationalist, both online and in real life, but you chose quietness over talking more often than not.

- He realized this when he stayed at the apartment with you.

- It surprised him that you were two parts chaotic hilarity and two parts silent comfortability.

- He quickly learned what your silence sounded like and the meaning behind it.

- The kind of silence that communicated your hurt and sadness. The kind that was there to signify that you were idly enjoying spare time. The kind that pined for him and watched his back as he worked.

- He didn’t want to know those things so intimately, not at first anyway, and yet he did. He took note of them and treasured them despite his desire to avoid such attachments.

- However, now that the two of you are dating, he listens to your silence, despite his discomfort towards silence.

- Normally, Seven hates silence. It makes him feel vulnerable in a way that frightens him. When faced with that cold stillness, thoughts he’d rather not hear become deafeningly loud. So usually he wears headsets, fills up silence with his own voice, or blares music from speakers.

-But at the end of the day, your silence doesn’t bother him, it never has, and it never will.

- Your silence is comfortable for him, and the vulnerability he feels when in the presence of your lulled conversations isn’t painful but warm and gentle.
