Full Art Uploaded to the BtM Demo!

​Hey, everyone!

At long last, all the planned art for the demo has been updated! I was not sure if I was going to get that feature in, because it takes time and a considerable amount of money, but I simply loved the way the game looked with art too much.

So, here we are! The files have been updated to feature different backgrounds depending on what's going on in the story so that you can get that sense of motion, to feel like you're experiencing the changes of environment and pacing along with the MC!

Basically, this will be a mix of interactive fiction and a kinetic novel! I hope you all like it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts about it!

Wahhh this is my project for the Once Upon a Time VN Jam and I'm very excited about it!!

It's my first fully finished project which makes it extra exciting, plus it's just a really nice story with a message that is close and personal to me so I really hope that if you play it, you enjoy it.

Ryukishi07 Visual Novel 'Rose Guns Days' Coming West Through MangaGamer - Noisy Pixel

MangaGamer has announced the western release of Rose Guns Days. The gangster visual novel by writer Ryukishi07 will be available in English, Chinese, and Japanese on Steam and MangaGamer’s own store.

Rose Guns Days was originally released by 07th Expansion in Japan in four seasons, from 2012 to 2014. This new version will follow the same individual chapter sale structure, but it’ll be upscaled from 480p to 1280 x 960.

The game takes us to an alternate history of Japan in which the country was taken over by Chinese and American forces during World War 2 as a way to rebuild Japan. The two countries tried to obtain a superior political stand in the nation, and many people from China and the USA migrated.

Now, with so many people from other countries, the Japanese have even become a minority. However, there are still those who won’t give up. As many gang conflicts arise, a new Japanese mafia family tries to get the upper hand within City 23 and protect their kin.

Rose Guns Days follows Leo Shishigami, a war veteran who sees his country completely changed after WW2 when he returns to it three years later. Alongside him, we also have another protagonist, Rose Haibara, the proprietress of a brothel who tries to protect other women like her.

A manga adaption of the game has also been released in English before through Yen Press. They’ve also released a spin-off prequel manga called Rose Guns Days Sorrowful Cross Knife.

Higurashi: It's a horror story that made me shiver like no other story ever did.

It's a mystery novel that got me hooked from the first to the last chapter.

It's a violent story, arguably the most violent story I've ever read.

But it's also a warm story about friendship and bonds.

Higurashi is a character-driven story, and all of the characters are written with depth, complexity, care, and love.

To sum up, Higurashi made me laugh, shake, theorize, cry, pity, and love. And so many more emotions I cannot name.

Higurashi is just all of that.

I finally got some time to draw, and this is an idea I've been thinking for a little while ~

So, a little anniversary piece dedicated to the first entry of my visual novel trilogy, Pristine Sin! I still cannot believe it has already been 10 years, but to be fair, Covid stole like 4 years of that decade away soooo-

A lot sure has happened to this game especially, I already overhauled most of the in-game art once, re-designed a few characters, added some new story bits to the script, replaced all the music with legal tunes, but the overall experience has stayed mostly the same. The 19-yo me from a decade ago would be proud of what I have made, just like I am proud of past me for tackling such a project to begin with.

Here's to another 10 years of creation! And of course, please go play it, I worked hard on this little piece of my soul

Submitted my very first game to SuNoFes 2024 on itch.io! Thursday At 11 PM is a estimated 7 minute length kinetic game with... I'm pretty sure less than five choices but none of them affect the story majorly so yeah, kinetic game it is!

Progress Update : Multi-Adjustments

Sorry for the long delay in posting more information on the progress I am making on this project. Anyway on to the update. Since my last post I've made several Adjustments to the project that I feel will focus my work further and allow me to make better progress.

Content Changes - I've removed the ability to play as "Alex". The reason was it was just providing bloat. There is no real reason for it, as the original idea behind this project was the journey of a young woman and her choices on either accepting malicious assistance or striking out on her own.

Job Sets - Nothing much here aside from I increased the options and made some choices only available depending on if you lived with your mother or father.

Prologue Expansion - I've increased the amount of choices and time you will spend in the village of MudCreek before making the journey to RiverBend where I plan for the majority of the story to take place.

Images - I'm still trying but learning pixel art from scratch is frustrating especially considering my current skill level and the images I want to portray that sit in my head. So I'm still going to be using AI-Images for the interim. This is to break up the text. I can create walls of text but I feel readers/players would end up bored if that was all I was offering.

Current Plans - Story/Game -- Push to finish the MudCreek portion and compile a "Demo" so readers/players can try it out and offer feedback on what they see in way of formatting, choices, spelling/grammar.

Info Dump -- I still owe you a promised info dump on the main locations of the story. I still plan to do this in the upcoming days.
