His Crew were all eradicated of his own Captaineering while he licked and nursed his wounds helplessly and barked through tinted-ego, drunk on his fleeting moment of success he became drunk despite once heralding his straight-edge lifestyle. However consequences have been delivered, his loved-fiance suffered mutilation from being captive, only rescued from Solaire’s daring rescue.

Branded despite all that over showing muscularity being painfully useless, shown unrivaled, MIGHT unlike his facade brawn. Forbidden, cursed, from ever hearing his heart speak fluently with her severed tongue. His entire manly existence is barred ever transparently, everything he gloated, herald over the Seeker now was his own fated string.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear you felt disappointed by yesterday's special. However, I feel compelled to comment on a few objective points in your ask.

- "Live & Backstage in Amsterdam" was directed by James Tonkin, the same director (and production team, Hangman) they worked with on "The Feeling of Falling Upwards" (and the unreleased "Live in Brixton" special). Ryan was credited as director of the documentary footage and as a contributing editor (1 of 3) but the live footage and overall final program was not his work.

- Regardless of the particular creatives involved here (or in any given project for that matter), the fact remains that any directors, producers, photographers, etc are all hired hands operating with full input and specific direction from the band. The band chose to make this a hybrid concert film/documentary. The band chose to condense the setlist the way they did. The band chose this format over the traditional tour diaries. What happens to the unused footage will be determined by the band. Ryan is a friend but he is first and foremost an employee and the band owns that footage. (Likewise, the MYT diaries are not sitting on Andy Deluca's hard drive because he's "gatekeeping" or too lazy to edit it. If the band wanted them released, they'd be released.) All this to say, of course you don't have to agree with the decisions but it's important to clarify who your complaint is with.

- This concept of the band or their collaborators "gatekeeping" and fans not getting what we "deserve" is, to be blunt, entitled and immature. Being a fan does not make an artist indebted to you. They make music, if you feel so inclined, you listen. That's it. That's the extent of the contract. Anything beyond that is optional for both parties. Any content an artist chooses to release is not out of obligation or generosity, it's part business strategy, part artistic vision. Artists do not owe you anything. This band does not owe you anything.

The text editing stuff is actually a basic function on AO3, you can do it too! When you're looking at the text editing/posting page, you'll see at the top that you can utilize "plain text with limited HTML"

Clicking the question mark icon there shows you all of the HTML functions that are available, with a basic explanation for how to apply them in your text:

The TL;DR is when you've picked one you want, you can start that section of text with the HTML signifier in diamond brackets <like this>, and then end that section with diamond brackets using a forward slash </like this>

(Be sure to include the ending set of brackets otherwise you'll accidentally make the entire rest of your story in italics or somethin - not speaking from experience I swear)

However, I found a "story" posted in 2015 that was particularly helpful with visualizing the major elements. It's called "A Complete Guide to 'Limited HTML' on AO3" by CodenameCarrot. In particular, this highlighted stuff like being able to do sub- and superscript text using <sub> and <sup> that I used (I think) to great effect in my Pokemon Scarvi piece "Paradiso" - where a lot of my experimentation happened under the guise of nightmare bs.

The way I made text look almost like the "Chat" option here on Tumblr was through "Special Types of Text."

They all produce the same result when published on AO3, but I personally use <tt>.

I've also been messing with image embedding like the text message thread in "Peaks and Caverns" and my Author's Notes in "Stone-Cold Lovers (ch. 3)," there should be more of that coming in pieces that I'm writing now! I learned a good practice for how to do so from the 2014 piece "Super Awesome Learning How to Embed Place" by leftennant.

Tbh I've been a bit surprised at how many people have asked me about this text editing stuff in my comments, because it's one of the first things I noticed is available compared to, say, fanfiction.net. I like that you can use the basic tools of the service to tailor your stores to a vision in even small ways, so I've even been testing things like pseudo-graphic design like recreating RIAA record plaques using just HTML features on my Splatoon fic "By Moonlight":

I hate everyone who is prescribing how to write fiction Correctly in all these fucking blogs and books and youtube channels about writing. I hate that the prevailing advice is always to be strictly formulaic and to create your work in a rote, mechanical way! I hate it and it's the fucking death of art! not everything has to be ~optimised~ and part of a fucking paint by numbers system! also me: ah, what a beautiful spreadsheet I have created to track my progress through my story's outline (which I heavily employed the story graph and save the cat methods to make), complete with if statements and conditional formatting to see if I am on track to my estimated word count goal for each individual scene and for the project as a whole every step of the way. what could be better and a more natural extension of my creative process than this?

overfitting is an issue, shitty data is an issue, bias is a huge huge issue. the limitations of these networks and their training data need to be considered in their application

ethically sourced data sets are important in a world where personal data security is increasingly difficult

capitalism will use new technologies to reduce reliance on human labor, and this has negative effects for that labor force

many highly visible individuals currently engaged in AI art practices are entitled assholes with weird ideas about ethics

while disabled people have been making art since the dawn of time, image and text generation tools do fuction as a curb cut for the expression of ideas and increased access is beneficial to personal expression and play

AI can reduce workloads for artists who are focused on the end result rather than their own meticulous, fine-tuned process

technical skills in digital art will become rarer as AI is adopted as a drafting tool
