How to Choose the Right College for Your Future
Choosing the right college for your future is a significant decision that requires careful consideration. Here are some essential steps to help you make an informed choice:
Reflect on Your Goals and Interests: Take the time to reflect on your academic and career goals, as well as your personal interests. Consider what subjects or fields of study excite you and align with your long-term aspirations. Understanding your interests and goals will help you narrow down your choices.
Research Different Colleges: Conduct thorough research on colleges that offer programs and majors aligned with your interests. Explore their websites, course catalogs, and virtual tours to gather information about academic offerings, faculty, campus culture, extracurricular activities, and support services.
Consider Location and Campus Environment: Think about the location and campus environment that would best suit your preferences and lifestyle. Consider factors such as climate, proximity to home, urban or rural setting, campus size, and student community. Visit campuses if possible, or participate in virtual tours and information sessions to get a sense of the atmosphere.
Evaluate Academic Reputation and Resources: Look into the academic reputation and resources of the colleges you are considering. Consider factors such as faculty expertise, research opportunities, library facilities, laboratories, internship programs, and career services. A strong academic reputation and robust resources can enhance your educational experience and future prospects.
Financial Considerations: Evaluate the financial aspects of attending college. Research tuition fees, scholarships, grants, and financial aid options. Consider your budget and the potential return on investment in terms of future career prospects. It's important to choose a college that aligns with your financial circumstances and minimizes the burden of student debt.
Seek Advice and Guidance: Talk to counsellors, teachers, mentors, and current college students to gather insights and advice. They can provide valuable perspectives based on their experiences and help you consider factors you may not have thought about. Additionally, reach out to college admissions offices with any specific questions or concerns.
Visit or Attend Virtual Events: Whenever possible, visit the campuses of your top choices to get a firsthand experience of the environment and facilities. Attend information sessions, meet faculty members, and interact with current students. If in-person visits are not feasible, take advantage of virtual events, webinars, and online resources to gain a sense of the college community.
Trust Your Instincts: Ultimately, trust your instincts and gut feeling when making your decision. Consider the colleges that resonate with you and align with your goals, values, and aspirations. It's important to choose a college where you feel comfortable, inspired, and excited about your educational journey.
Remember that choosing a college is a personal decision, and what works for someone else may not necessarily be the best fit for you. Take the time to explore your options, weigh the pros and cons, and make a decision that feels right for your future.

Introduction:
As a student, keeping up with lifestyle trends can be a fun way to stay current and engaged with the world around you. From fashion to fitness, there are always new trends emerging that can enhance your daily life. In this article, we will explore some of the latest lifestyle trends for students.
Sustainable Fashion
Sustainable fashion has become a major trend in recent years, with more and more students choosing to shop ethically and environmentally consciously. This trend includes clothing made from sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, recycled fabrics, and biodegradable fibers. Additionally, sustainable fashion also involves shopping secondhand, repurposing old clothing, and supporting brands with eco-friendly practices.
Mindful Eating
Mindful eating is a trend that emphasizes the importance of being present and intentional when it comes to food. This trend encourages students to slow down and savor their meals, paying attention to their hunger cues and choosing nourishing foods. Mindful eating also involves reducing food waste and supporting local and organic food sources.
Digital Detoxing
As technology becomes more prevalent in our daily lives, digital detoxing has become an increasingly popular trend. This involves taking a break from screens and social media, and instead focusing on activities that promote self-care and mental wellness. Students may choose to engage in activities such as meditation, journaling, or spending time in nature to disconnect from technology and reconnect with themselves.
Plant-Based Living
Plant-based living is a lifestyle trend that emphasizes the benefits of a diet focused on whole, plant-based foods. This trend includes a variety of diets, such as vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian, that prioritize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Plant-based living has been shown to have numerous health benefits, including reducing the risk of chronic diseases and improving overall physical and mental health.
Fitness Technology
Fitness technology has become a major trend in the world of fitness and wellness. This trend includes wearable technology, such as fitness trackers and smartwatches, that allow students to track their physical activity, monitor their heart rate, and set fitness goals. Additionally, fitness technology also includes apps and online programs that provide guided workouts and personalized fitness plans.
Minimalism
Minimalism is a trend that encourages students to live with less, focusing on quality over quantity and reducing clutter and excess. This trend includes practices such as decluttering, simplifying one's possessions, and living with intention. Minimalism has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, and promote a sense of clarity and focus.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a trend that emphasizes the importance of being present and aware in the moment. This trend includes practices such as meditation, yoga, and deep breathing exercises, that help students cultivate a sense of mindfulness and reduce stress and anxiety. Mindfulness also involves being intentional with one's thoughts and actions, and focusing on the present rather than worrying about the past or future.
Personal Development
Personal development is a trend that focuses on improving oneself through self-reflection, learning, and growth. This trend includes practices such as setting goals, practicing self-care, and seeking out new experiences and challenges. Personal development can lead to increased self-awareness and confidence, and provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Conclusion:
Keeping up with lifestyle trends can be a fun and engaging way for students to enhance their daily lives. Whether it's through sustainable fashion, mindful eating, digital detoxing, or plant-based living, there are countless trends that can help students prioritize their physical and mental health, and improve their overall quality of life. By staying current with lifestyle trends and incorporating them into their daily routines, students can cultivate a sense of purpose, wellness, and fulfillment.

6 miles done! Kept my heartrate between 150-155 which felt great. My tanktop straps kept falling down constantly which was insanely annoying. 😧 Hope everyone’s #sundayrunday went well!

I am by NO MEANS a boxer. I took decent classes for a couple months and have done some on and off training before and after those classes. But I am not a professional, obviously. That being said, some boxing practices just feel good. Messing up a bag or stand feels GOOD. Feeling like you are actually prepared and capable of defending yourself is GOOD.
You don’t have to be great at it, as long as you are doing it safely and it isn’t making you feel pained. And it is always good to try out new things. If you can afford it, a good boxing class is well worth it. Boxing gets you in good cardiovascular shape FAST. But it can hurt too.
If anyone has any advice, I am all ears. You’re never too important to learn and get better!

I’m SO thankful for the blogilates vegan meal plan this busy finals week! Everything is planned out perfectly and super easy to meal prep/ swap/ etc. It’s made staying healthy and on track during finals 300% easier 😋
If you stink at meal prepping like I do, consider following a pre-made meal plan from a reputable source! I almost always turn to blogilates for my busy weeks because Cassey’s plans are allergy/ preference swap friendly, organized, and fairly easy to follow! I’m also a big fan of 6 meals a day 😉

I haven’t posted a lot about my fitness journey since back to school started- I’m still on the grind, I have just changed it up a little. I’m working on the #21dayfix idea (maybe purchasing it if I get the 👍 from my doc) but I’m doing more body weight, more #hiit training and cleaning up my diet. It is hard to do so in college/university but it’s possible. Little changes at a time. I’m almost back down to 180 again, I’m less about pounds, more about feeling good, strong and healthy. 25% body fat or bust. #fitness #collegefitness #student #fitjourney #stronggirls #peplumtop

First run back after resting my shin splints! No pain at all. 👍 I'm training for a 5K in a month! 🤗 It was really hot out even at 7... I intended to get up at 6, but just didn't want to listen to my alarm at the time. 😴 Hope everyone else's morning runs went well! 🏃 .

May 2017 Update:
Hello fitblr friends! Wow, it has been a while... As I wrote a few weeks ago, I have transitioned all of my health/fitness updates over to an Instagram account ~ fitnessbyang. Go check it out!!! I love Tumblr so much and hold a special place in my heart for it, since I have been using it for different purposes since 8th grade! But using Instagram has allowed my passion of health and fitness to flourish to a new level. So, here’s what’s been happening! > Fitness wise: I am now beginning WEEK 6 of the BBG guide on Kayla Itsines “Sweat” app!!! I almost always do cardio for 20+ minutes beforehand, whether it’s running, jogging, or using a stair climber (my favorite when I get the chance to go to a gym). Then I complete the abs/arms, legs, and full body workout each week! I always make sure to implement my 2 recovery/rest/off days into every week as well. > In addition to that, I always try to do 1 Pilates mat class every week as well! This is if it fits into my schedule and a class at the studio I work at has space in it for me. Pilates is great for me, and honestly ends up benefits all of my BBG workouts in little ways! > At request, I also may be becoming an ambassador for a new gym that is local to my work and school! This gym focuses on a special workout that is 25 minutes of HIIT cardio, 30 minutes of strength training, and 10 minutes of recovery. My first whack at that will be this Wednesday! If everything goes as planned, I will hopefully implement this into my weekly workouts as well. > And lastly, at request a well, I have decided to start virtual health and fitness coaching for Team Beachbody! This is something that I knew NOTHING about, literally did not even know it existed, until I started my Instagram. After receiving numerous messages complimenting my content and genuinely saying how great of a fit I would be for online health and fitness coaching, I have decided to give it a go! Unfortunately, as a college student, money is a bit tight and has delayed the process for me. But as of Friday, I will be signing up for Beachbody On Demand, Shakeology, Portion Fix, the business starter kit, and connecting myself to my first accountability group as I give it all a try! > As a 20 year old college student, going into her junior year, I am realizing my passions are changing a bit. Growing up, all throughout elementary school, middle school, high school, and entering into college, I have never been able to see myself doing ANYTHING outside of/beyond photography and digital media. But my eyes have been OPENED the past few weeks! I cannot wait to try all of these new things and continue on my health and fitness journey, while hopefully not only inspiring others, but connecting to/learning from them as well! ~Ang :)
