Welp, Elara is nervous cleaning as she waits for the boys to return. The longer it takes the more restless she becomes. She has already dusted, swept, mopped (as in scrubbed on her knees). She reorganized the blood bags twice and took care of the animals needs. She is about to start dusting again... for the third time actually. She wants to go find them but they told her to stay at the cabin. The worry grows.

disclaimer i haven't explored all the assistant noah content out there so maybe there is something of this nature somewhere but from what i can tell there's little to no fanworks exploring the idea of a theoretical future where chris and noah's friendship/familial bond/what have you extends past the time that noah is an assistant, which is a shame because currently i'm enamored with the idea of the two of them having biweekly calls where chris just rambles at noah while noah is very clearly not really listening (honestly he's probably gaming at the moment lmao) for an hour or so. chris is vaguely aware he's not listening to most of it and he WILL complain about that if he asks him a question noah can't answer cuz he wasn't paying attention lol but for the most part he doesn't really care cuz this has always been how their conversations have gone in the past. really it's just nice to have his kid on the line occasionally going "mhmm" and "wow" in response to whatever bullshit is on his mind like in the good old days :')

Ok so u know how predatory pets bring live prey animals into the house. Do Laura or Alucard do that to Integra at the estate while she's trying to meet with people over serious business?

(Yes, this is inspired by a true story. No, I have not yet found where the chipmunk ran.)

Now i doubt they would bring LIVE prey because these two are killing machines and they both get scolded if they spook the guests too bad, but they absolutely do that thing where a cat brings its owner a dead mouse. Except instead of a mouse it’s a still-pulsating pile of gore and viscera and they plop it on integra’s nice carpet

So of my 4 siblings, I'm the only one that lives a ways away and only comes home like every 6 months. We have a family discord and stuff, but I still get left out of the loop for certain topics. This means I get to come home and get the family update info dump, which last year included "the dog is missing a leg now" and this year includes "your 95 year old grandmother got into a car accident, she's fine but we're hoping this will get her to stop driving."

River is the best little cage cleaning assistant ever. I got no less than three nose-bonks and two whole-head bunny noogie requests while I worked. I'm genuinely impressed at her ability to shove her face between my hand and the litter scoop! 😜
