not to keep waffling on about this but a thing I have noticed in many areas of my life, from protests to marital arts to mosh pits, is that

while I'm not particularly good at proprioception, have no depth perception and frankly mediocre core strength for someone who's been weight training for 2 years, and at times in my life I have just Fallen Over Regularly For No Reason because my legs stopped being legs for a second

I am, for whatever reason, basically impossible to push over or move through force

like I don't know if I just have an unusually low centre of gravity or just fuckin stubborn or what but I am just preternaturally good at being Hard To Move

some of it is a learnable skill but I think I just have short little tree trunk legs and solid body mass and when I plant my feet and drop my weight down even a bit I become like unto a boulder. it's a fun quirk of my character build.

Rewatched Lost You Forever season two and I am OBSESSED with the increasing intensity of the comparisons between Xiang Liu and Chi Chen

The scene where the old Lirong uncle, Chi Chen’s general, mistakes Xiang Liu for him because he sang the song Chi Chen wrote for his wife.

Chi Chen died before Xiang Liu even joined the army but he’s well aware that Chi Chen’s end awaits him too. Disgraced, despised and forgotten by the land he fought for. Even back in season one, before he knew of any relationship between Chi Chen and Xiao Yao, Xiang Liu obviously felt some affinity with him. He starts that fight as Feng Fang Bei with Xin Yue over her family’s disloyalty to Chi Chen.

I believe it is only the precedent of Chi Chen and Xiao Yao’s mother’s relationship that stopped him from making the exact same mistake. Xiang Liu is a realist and can see the inevitability of the struggle he fights in. This the same man who asked for army provisions from Tushan Jing for just 37 years. Xiao Yao, for all she has suffered, is still a romantic. The greatest barrier to their relationship has never been Xiao Yao, it has always been Xiang Liu.

i really hate to be a spoilsport but why do amv makers on tiktok etc insist on using 60fps interpolation on their videos?? ESPECIALLY on older cartoons/anime that are hand-drawn animated.

it's not just editors though, there are people who "improve" clips or episodes of older cartoons/anime by adding 60fps interpolation via AI.

it doesn't look good to me? it feels unnatural, and ruins the flow of the animation by attempting to make it look """"smoother"""". also if fight scenes are included in these """improved""" edits, they have no weight and look...just weird.

why is this everywhere. am i crazy? am i the only one who thinks it looks bad??
