Eris Scarlett's deal is that she's a former urchin, current criminal with plausible deniability, and feline nobility! She came to the Neath as a child when she was about six and joined the regiment after her father, who had brought her there, was permanently killed in a factory fire.

Even though she's aged out of the urchin-gangs (i imagine the arrest that wound her up in prison at the beginning of the game happened shortly after becoming a longshanks) she still considers the urchins very important to her and tries to look after the younger kids the way she was looked after when she was their age. She's a mischievous type, but is very dependable to those close to her, and doesn't give up easily. Don't ever take this woman gambling. She earned her epithet after a string of successful heists and has since completed Light Fingers!

i can’t go in the jrwi tag cause seeing any price stuff makes me so crazy. i feel crazy. did we watch the same episodes. where did people get price always wanted to hurt chip from. they were teenagers. they were teenagers together. reuben looked unhappy in childhood photos where his step dad (if i can even call rose that) wouldn’t refer to him as his son. somehow price lost that home and got pulled into a world of gangs as a child. price got put in a place of leadership in a gang as a teenager. killing as an act of loyalty in an environment where loyalty means survival. you know who else had that environment? gill. the other person who has had a “we’re family” talk with chip. price is literally the bad version of jay and gill. he’s what they might’ve been if chip hadn’t gone through having his hand forced to kill by price. chip’s moral compass from that moment helps guide his co-captains who are down to kill away from that path.

and price isn’t even a fully evil person. like he went on to set up a deal with the navy so that his people, bounty hunters, could get fairly compensated. he’s literally the union guy. krow liked him and was willing to die to avenge him.

and i’m not saying he hasn’t done horrible things. forcing others to kill is bad. he was a creep towards chip in that club.

but. reuben’s tombstone was right next to jay and gill’s in chip’s dream space.

Rhaenyra’s attitude to Daemon’s twin girls in comparison to her own children is…interesting. But I don’t think the writers themselves realised it was an issue so I doubt it will be addressed

First there is her decision to not let Jace ride out on his dragon (understandable after what just happened to Lucerys!) but she sends Baela instead. You could argue that she believes that Baela, as a woman, would be less hot-blooded than Jace would which matches the show’s theme of men being bloodthirsty and women being the peacemakers. But Baela is very much mini-Daemon judging by her mad chase after Criston Cole.

Does Rhaenerya not know her personality? Have they not lived together for years as one big happy family? Or is risking Baela preferable to her actual son?

Then there is the insane attitude towards Rhaena, who she can spare because she has no dragon. Rhaenyra can’t bear to let her boys go…but Rhaena will have to be “mother” to them now. She tells this kid, her stepdaughter, to mother her children and how hard this is for her, Rhaenyra. Rhaena’s own mother is dead and she’s 16 years old.

If I thought the writers were exploring some interesting issues with Rhaenyra such as; maybe she has internal misogyny like Alicent but it express itself in a different way; or maybe she like many stepmothers just doesn’t care as much about Daemon’s previous children; or maybe she’s getting colder and more selfish as the pressure piles on and she lost her son…..but I highly doubt this was the intention.

The writers so far have made it clear that we are supposed to see Rhaenyra as the “moral” character so she doesn’t get to have major flaws like this (terrible writing decision btw). But this is completely undermined by them not realising how her treatment of the twins looks to the audience

Aegon’s little face when Aemond starts speaking to him in High Valyrian in front of EVERYONE. He’s so out of his depth, I feel so bad for him 😭

This little shit is throwing in words like lickspittles and sobriquet. High Valyrian 101 is probably as far as Aegon got

I started cracking up when Aegon stammered back some grammatically incorrect words just jumbled together after swilling some wine to delay the moment he’d have to speak. How did this loser become my favourite character to watch?

It’s also tragic because he never wanted this. He was literally ready to flee the country rather than be king. They forced him on the throne and then hate him for being the man on the throne
