Yuna: De qualquer forma, você não se importa em dormir no sofá, não é? O único quarto vago que tenho está configurado como um escritório, então seria ainda mais desconfortável.

Touma continuou olhando para o nada sem responder a Yuna. Ele só se moveu para tirar seus suspensórios cruzados e afrouxar sua gravata, alegando que não conseguia respirar. Depois disso, ele não disse nada e apenas continuou olhando para algum ponto aleatório na sala.

Yuna: Você não está se sentindo mal, está? Devo levá-la ao hospital? Ou eu poderia deixá-la em sua casa se você se lembrar agora... Ei! [Quando ela colocou a mão na lateral do rosto de Touma, foi como se isso o tivesse tirado de um transe.]

Touma: O que você está fazendo aqui?

Yuna: B-Bem, esta é a minha casa... Desculpe, eu não sabia para onde mais te levar...

Touma: Callie, você me trouxe para sua casa?? Eu pensei que você fosse casada com outra pessoa!

Yuna: Quem??!!

Yuna: Tenente, Eu não sei quem é–

Antes que ela pudesse reagir, Yuna foi puxada para o sofá, onde Touma a prendeu em seus braços. O coração de Yuna batia furiosamente, sua respiração ficou irregular e suas mãos tremeram levemente.

Touma: Eu estava pensando se era possível... que você já tivesse outro homem... Lamento não ter ligado antes, mas estou feliz que você esteja aqui agora...

Yuna: Tenente, você está louco! Eu não sou a mulher de quem você está falando... Eu sou sua colega de trabalho, Yuna!

Yuna lutou para se libertar dos braços de Touma, mas ele a segurou com mais força, impedindo-a de se levantar. O rosto dele estava perto do ouvido dela, e com uma voz áspera, ele sussurrou coisas como, "Senti sua falta" e "Por favor, não me afaste", o que enviou arrepios involuntários pelo corpo de Yuna, seu pânico crescendo enquanto ela tentava desesperadamente se levantar.

Yuna: Não, não, não, não, por favor. [Ela entra em pânico quando o corpo de Touma relaxa, e eles começam a cair no sofá.] Droga...

Touma: Prometa que não vai embora, que vai ficar aqui comigo... só por esta noite...

Yuna: [suspira] Tudo bem, Touma, apenas durma.

Depois disso, Touma pareceu relaxar e finalmente fechou os olhos, embora ainda não soltasse Yuna. Ela planejou esperar até que sua respiração desacelerasse, um sinal de que ele estava dormindo, e então entrar silenciosamente em seu quarto. No entanto, ela nem percebeu que estava fechando os olhos lentamente também.

So, in case you haven't heard...

Penny, from Scarlet and Violet is officially related to both Peony and Peonia (and, well, Rose too, since he'd be her uncle)! Peony is her father, and Peonia is her sister.

For those unaware, this is Peony.

And this is Peonia!

The woman in this image is (presumably) their mother (unless Penny is a half-sibling or adopted, which I don't think is the case).

And let me just say, this makes me so, so happy, seeing this visual/genetic diversity in a family.

So many people are completely ignorant to how genetics and biracial people can exist and have their genes expressed. Two siblings from a biracial couple, such as a black and white person, can look totally different. One could have curly hair and one could have straight! One could be super light-skinned and the other dark-skinned! Two kids from two parents doesn't mean that they necessarily just get a "mix" of how they both look.

Seeing this represented makes me so happy. I really hope more people realize just how different siblings from interracial couples can look. I really hope people don't erase this aspect of Penny's character, or think that she doesn't look Black enough or enough like a POC.

For a real life example, here are a pair of biracial twins!

So, basically, the point of this post is this:

Penny is Peonia's sister and Peony's daughter! This was my headcanon for a while, considering her name is Penny and based on Peony, but seeing it confirmed makes me so happy. I want this post to end on the note to inform people that biracial people can look like this. Biracial people can pass completely as white. White-passing biracial people can have dark-skinned parents and family members. Biracial people don't owe you passing as their ethnicity and the ethnicity/race of their family.

Please embrace this aspect of Penny and learn what being biracial can look like! Understand, acknowledge, and accept how biracial people can look! I've already seen people frustrated that Penny doesn't look "Black enough" or saying that her design makes no sense, or that she couldn't possibly be Peony's daughter, which is already a huge issue for REAL LIFE BLACK PEOPLE, who are told this!!! Even if you don't realize it, these thoughts and ideas ARE racist to have. How you view people when they're not real can often be indicative of how you treat them when they ARE real!

I hope that if you didn't already know these things, that you don't feel bad about it, and instead come away with new knowledge and understanding!

Edit: Also she could just be adopted? I meant to say that in this post and forgot. Like, adoption is a thing. Like, we know that Bede was an orphan and all... (I however don't think she was adopted based on her visual similarities)

Additional edit: I'm not trying to imply that their family is Black, either—I mentioned Black biracial families as an example, and also mentioned it at the end because I specifically made this post in response to people saying Penny "isn't black enough" and directing their racism towards Black biracial families. In all likelihood, their family is probably implied to be the Pokémon equivalent of Indian.

A spooky spread for Pokeween!

Every October, I love making a variety of ghostly Pokemon Halloween treats, and here's what we made in 2024!

Our centrepiece is a Haunter lavender (Town) cake, with Gengar Pokemon Center lantern cookie, Froakie costume cookie, ghost Pokemon cookie brownie, and Gastly lindzer cookies.

This is another one of my favorite mons, best gen 8 one for sure!

For Weak Armor the idea was to evoke the Corsola-Galar kind of coral as if it was still partly on it, like... Weak Armor (peak fiction)

And for Perish Body, I went full spooky-vibes, giving it swirls and a more intimidating ghost-face.

I feel like these are a bit subtler than my previous ones, but I like them all the same! I hope you guys like them too - Cursola deserves more love.

And sorry @n0rtist, I feel like I'm spamming you with these but the ability forms concepts is just too good lol

O tempo restante do turno foi marcado por uma apatia da qual Touma não conseguia se livrar; e quando pensava que estava sozinho, ele vasculhava a geladeira em busca da bebida que seus colegas tinham o hábito de esconder entre as latas para que nenhum superior visse (mesmo que eles sempre soubessem).

Ele havia se convencido de que estava lidando bem com o término, mas agora, com essa notícia, parecia que tudo havia se tornado real, e ele havia perdido Callie para sempre... Esse era o sentimento.

Touma: Como pude deixar isso acontecer? [Ele se levanta cambaleante, sua visão embaçada e ele não consegue pensar claramente] Preciso falar com ela, dizer que ainda penso em nós... Tenho certeza de que ela ainda me ama.

Touma começa a procurar por algo (talvez seu telefone), mas quando ele se inclina para frente, as imagens parecem duplicar, e ele começa a sentir uma sensação de tontura, fazendo-o parar de olhar para baixo.

Touma: Droga, onde diabos está meu telefone? Eu preciso... Eu... [Ele foca seu olhar em algum ponto aleatório na sala, e por um momento, pareceu que ele esqueceu o motivo de sua bebida]

Mas talvez ele tivesse bebido demais, e uma dor aguda tomou conta de seu peito. Ou talvez fosse a dor de um coração partido que não tinha mais forças para continuar. De qualquer forma, Touma caiu no chão com um baque.

Yuna: Tenente?? O que aconteceu?? Eu ouvi um barulho, foi você caindo?? [Ela corre até ele quando o vê caído no chão].

Com grande esforço, ela tenta virar Touma de costas para verificar se ele está bem enquanto chama seu nome. Felizmente, ela se exercitou regularmente e conseguiu virá-lo.

Touma: Y-Yuna? O que você está fazendo aqui?

Yuna: Eu trabalho horas extras todos os dias... mas nunca vi você trabalhando horas extras... O que aconteceu?

Touma: Eu estou... celebrando... um novo começo...

Yuna não entendeu o que ele quis dizer e suspeitou que nem ele tinha ideia do que estava dizendo. Agora, ela precisava descobrir como levantá-lo.

Yuna: ... Vamos, Tenente! Precisamos levá-lo para casa. Diga-me onde você mora!

Touma: [Sua voz arrastada] Eu não sei... Apenas me deixe aqui, vá embora!

Yuna: Eu não acho que eu poderia deixá-lo deitado aqui, mesmo que seja na delegacia...

Touma: ...

Yuna: Isso não vai funcionar... De todos os dias, ninguém está por perto para me ajudar... [As coisas ficam complicadas quando Touma relaxa seu corpo, ficando mais pesado] Não, não, você é pesado...

There's an old joke on the internet that if you're sad in Galar, you have a 50/50 chance of a Blissey or a Hatterene finding you first, and either trying to help you or beating you up.

This made it onto an episode of Dex Busters, which had to be cut short after Hatterene attacked the camera man.
