hi Mimi 💕💕 I follow u on twitter & I just wanted to say that as a younger girl (who wants to tap more into her feminine side) ur such an inspiration to me!! ur so angelic & gorgeous, & I adore ur style so much ♡ my question is (if u don’t mind me asking hehe) is: what r some of the daily makeup products that u use or would recommend to somebody else?? :)
Hi love!
This is so so kind, thank you so much! I am so glad you find some kind of inspiration from my style, as I really do enjoy putting outfits together. Ask as many questions as you'd like!
It's like you read my mind! I have been planning to upload a makeup tutorial and this seems like the perfect chance! So, without further adieu...
Mimi makeup tutorial:
Tumblr media
Before applying my makeup, its important that I prep my skin. I rub Glossier Milky Jelly into my skin and wash it off before patting my skin dry. I love how this smells and always makes me feel so clean and fresh.
Once my skin is dry, a skincare item I cannot live without is Glossier Solution as with someone with very dewy skin I feel it helps tighten and smooth everything out so that product can be placed on top of it whilst removing some oiliness.
To moisturize, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream always leaves me glowing. However, recently in these winter months I have been reaching for a small pot of E45, as it is super thick and I find it super hydrating. Once I have moisturized, I apply a high SPF on my face and neck.
I don't tend to use primer, as I feel they often cause conflict with my other products. If I am doing a full face, I will use Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter in 4 Medium all over my face and pat it down with a velvet powder puff or damp beauty blender.
Once that is blended in, I will use a small amount of Elf Cosmetics Hydrating CAMO concealer in Light Ivory beneath my eye closer to the inner corner, from the end of my eye to the tail of my brow, beside my nose, along the tops of my eyebrows and the center of my forehead. I will let this sit for a minute, and then press it in using a pink velvet powder puff.
Because the Flawless Filter leaves my faces way too dewy for my liking, I will generously powder beneath my eyes, beside my nose, the middle of my forehead and my chin with Glossier Wowder. If I'm going a little more glam, I will press Laura Mercier loose powder in shade Rose beneath my eyes to add a brighter, pinkier tone.
If I'm bronzing, I will either use Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood contour wand in fair medium before I powder (But I often refrain from this as it takes a lot of blending and can come across muddy in my opinion) Or I use Hoola Bronzer on my outer cheeks and temples. I also like to swipe this across the nose tip to accentuate a button shape.
Blush is by far one of my favourite steps to my routine, and depending on my mood there are many I could reach for. If I want a bright pink with a bluey/purple undertone by favourite has to be Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream blush in Bikini Martini. If I want a warmer, glowy, more bronzed look then I will choose the Charlotte Tilbury beauty light wand in Pinkgasm. However, my favourite powder blush at the minute which as been my cold-girl, winter essential must be the Kylie Jenner pressed blush powder in Winter Kissed. It's an excellent dupe for the Dior backstage blush!
For highlight, I add some glow back into my face by tapping the Charlotte Tilbury light wand in Pillow Talk along my upper cheeks, and down my nose, before dipping into a white shimmer shade from any eyeshadow palette and adding this to my inner corners, the tip of my nose, my brow bone and sometimes even my cupids bow.
If you use a setting spray, go ahead and use it now.
For eyebrows, I simply fill in any sparse areas ensuring they are as even as possible and straight. Sometimes, I brush a clear brow gel through them if they are acting especially unruly that day!
For eyes, I begin by tightlining my top lashline with brown eyeliner, or a brow pencil. I feel using a dark brown eyebrow pencil has a better hold through the day. I feel this gives the illusion of a thicker, fuller lash line. I do not use any special product for this, so feel free to use what you've got! I then curl my lashes, and if I can be bothered I will heat the curler with my hair dryer for a few seconds. If you do this, let it cool for another few seconds as you don't want to burn your eyelid. Another hack I have picked up, especially if I am coming to the end of a mascara-- is to keep the mascara tube either in your bra or between your thighs to warm up the product inside as you do your previous makeup steps. When I do this, I find the product is less stiff and just makes the lashes come out less clumpy. For this, I use Glossier Lash Slick, as I prefer length over thickness. The product adds little fibres which goes a long way for a long fluttery lash.
More times than not, I opt for a strip lash. If I'm going for a doll-like spiky lash look, I use the Amazon Manga lashes. For a more casual look, I will wear these half lashes. But my favourites recently have been Ardell Wispies.
If I really wanna go all out, I'll add a tiny bit of liquid eyeliner in my inner corner, and or draw a half crease just to add something special. To finish of I dust a light shimmer from any eyeshadow pallette over the lid.
Finally, I move onto lips. Lipliner is essential, and it doesn't need to be expensive to be good. I use a browny pink, ever so slightly rounding my cupids bow just a little more whilst remaining its shape. If I want a fancier glossy-satin finish lip, I'll use this Mac lipstick in shade Angel. Very few times I have left it at that, but 99 percent of the time I will be wearing a gloss. I've been loving the TooFaced Lip Injection Power Plumping gloss in Pretty Pony. It's super plumping and glittery, however I do find it to be quite sticky. My go to gloss, for a super juicy and wet finish would be the Kiko Milano gloss in Tutu Rose. However, if I'm doing something super casual or not wearing makeup but still want hydrated and juicy lips, I will always have on the Lush Snow Fairy lip jelly. It keeps my lips super soft, plump, and tastes really great!
So, after any finishing touches that's about it. If you'd like to know some of my common hair styles with attached tutorials let me know! If you try out any of the products linked or even followed my tutorial let me know what you think!
Mimi 💗

Label maker anon… please show us your organized kit !!! I would love to see that!!! Sephora sale ends today what’s your staples to buy ? Do you have a separate makeup blog and if not do you mind makeup questions?? Thanks have a great day !!!
I’ll have to clean my kit back up 😂 I took the day off yesterday and still need to clean brushes and clean the containers. With an event that big usually things start just getting tossed where they don’t belong 😂
I didn’t even get that much from the Sephora sale, and I’m Rouge 🫣 the Drunk Elephant Trunk this year was lack luster and that’s usually my big buy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was my pitiful little haul. I ALWAYS get that PLM under eye powder! I am never without it. I do usually get a PML product in general, but other than her 10 pan Mothership Palettes, I’m trying to limit the amount of makeup I buy.
Currently it’s becoming more of a collection than products I use.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is a must! Hourglass Ambient anything. That entire line is incredible, I just wish they had deeper bronzers 😒 Hourglass can we make the line more inclusive?
I’m really loving Makeup By Mario’s line a lot. Erin Parsons suggested that liner as a dupe for the original MAC Spice, I believe. So I thought I’d give it a go.
I don’t have a separate makeup blog, but you can send your asks here. True story, this used to be a makeup blog, and when I came back to the fandom to post my fanfics, I cleaned it up.

ok so it’s the last day of february but i said i would do it and i finally forced myself to concentrate enough today post-work to make it happen so here are my 2022 beauty/skincare favs. ty to the ever-lovely @lovergirl for tagging me 🤍🤍🤍
1. Charlotte Tilbury’s Walk of Shame/Walk of No Shame lipstick - perfect rosy, bitten lips, not quite red and not quite pink but both, at least on me. Used to wear Bond Girl/MI Kiss on the daily but then discovered this. Like that one but more punchy. Still go for that on occasion but WoS is my holy grail now.
2. Chanel Chance eau Tendre - easy to wear to work, it’s light, floral, fresh, hint of citrus. Probably overpriced for how low the sillage is and that it doesn’t feel like the most complex scent ever but I like it and it doesn’t feel like just water in a bottle nor cleaning product in a bottle.
3. A’Pieu Pure Block spf45 - Korean sunscreens are fucking amazing and better than French ones any day
4. LA Girl Pro-Conceal corrector in ‘light beige’ - a lot of people think this is too thick but I find a small dot that I can blend out with my foundation brush or fingers will correct my dark circles without needing setting or a concealer on top. I have really bad creasage, I’m dry as hell and I have darker undereyes. This saved me. It’s getting harder to find so I’m looking for alts while also stocking up when I can find this.
5. BotanicChoice Retionol Gel - Idk what the concentration of this is so don’t ask. But it worked for me and I’m already chronically dry. It took about two months for me to adjust. Now I’m at the point where I probably need a higher concentration because I can use this each night as long as I moisturize after but for now I’m content to stay at this level. It took a while, but it’s been close to two years now using it on and off and all my surface level congestion got better, my texture improved, my skin became a lot closer to “glass skin” than it was before (but still not the full on tret kind of glass skin, but remember I’m dry as hell). Their website is shit but I’m about to run out of my supply and I need to figure out what to do next.
6. Rimmel Maxi Blush in Wild Card - What the Dior Rosyglow is for fair people, this is for me. Instead of creating that babydoll flushed glow, this creates a vibrant, pink-red peonies in full bloom kind of flush on my tone. Blends out so well considering it’s highly pigmented. You can use it softly or go all the way, it’s beautiful no matter what.
7. Maybelline City Bronzer in 200 - only golden toned bronzer from the drugstore to exist that I know of. Beautiful - not grey, not orange, not pink or red, not even neutral. Golden.
8. St. Ives Collagen Moisturizer - they need to stop making scrubs and stick to this moisturizer. It’s quite light though. Despite being so dry, due to my dermatitis, heavier moisturizers cause congestion for me if I use them like two nights in a row. This has a really light texture, gives me glazed skin for a while when I use it and has ceramides. Haven’t found anything that has worked for me better yet. It might exist but I gave up looking after a while since this is cheap and doesn’t cause any issues for me. Only thing is it’s relatively light for a nighttime moisturizer, but you can always layer with a humectant of some kind. Ideally, if I wasn’t wearing makeup, I would reapply this sometime in the afternoon.
9. Maybelline Lifter Gloss - this shade is Topaz which I love. I think it’s the Fenty GlossBomb original shade dupe. These really are so comfortable, buttery, un-sticky, un-gloopy, moisturizing glosses. I wake up the next day with soft lips. I wasn’t a gloss girl until these came into my life. I get it now. I also like Petal and Opal. They have more and I want them.
Okaaaay that’s all from me for now. I tag @capricornpropaganda @thecapricornwifey @afropiscesism @longlashedingenue @hazyhhoney @smokedsalmoniloveyou if you would like to!!

Hi guys,
Today we are talking dupes! I recently ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand in shade Fair - Medium and can't find a replacement anywhere! I'm not surprised to be honest that the wand is sold out because it blends like a dream and effortlessly contours your face. My wand lasted about a year so it was a good investment but it means for now I need an alternative.
Looking on Tiktok where we all find the answers to everything in this day and age I saw a few videos where people were comparing the Hollywood Contour Wand to the Revolution Eye Bright Illuminating Under Eye Concealer in the shade Caramel. I have tried this concealer in other shades for concealing and highlighting but never contour so it didn't cross my mind to start with. After finding some discount codes I decided to order it and try myself.
In terms of packaging both products are very similar with their cushion applicators however as you can see CT is a deeper shade then the Revolution concealer I picked up. My fault really because I should have got Deep Caramel which would have been an exact colour match. Colour aside the actual formula blends out very similarly to one another giving me the perfect contour finish. The Revolution side is a slightly warmer shade which I would say is similar to doing contour with a bronzer shade. The CT colour is more cool toned and a true contour colour which you would expect.
Overall for now I'm happy with my dupe but still on the hunt for my Hollywood Contour Wand to come back into stock (hopefully sooner than later) because let's face it you can't always dupe a CT product. If you want to check out the Revolution dupe I have linked it above.
Lots of love

My makeup basics a the moment. <3
I don't use foundation but, I do use the charlotte tilbury flawless filter in the shade 2 Fair on the high points of my face, this product is my holy grail and ill always repurchase. I have heard the e.l.f halo glow is a good dupe though as this is a bit more expensive, but I have yet to try it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For concealer I use three different ones, two for under my eye since one is too dark and the other is too light, shades fair and eggshell. (Left and middle) and the last one for spot concealing since it matches my face shade nicely in shade pale I believe (Right). I honestly don't recommend any of these though, as they all crease but its all I have for the moment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love mostly all of the rare beauty products but their bronzer stick in the shade bright side is definitely a favourite. For powder, i use the hot sweety palette I was given as a gift, but I don't use the highlight parts.
Tumblr media
Charm your cheeks by Ofra is such a beautiful palette, it depends on the day, season, and just overall how I want to look that day, but I usually just use the two checked colours on the apples of my cheeks and a tiny bit of the end of my nose.
Tumblr media
I don't do too much to my eyebrows as i'm pretty satisfied with my brown shape as is but, I will go in with the L'Oréal plump and set wand and brush through my eyebrows going up and out for a fluffier look, focusing on the tail of my brow as that's where it needs the most help.
Tumblr media
I don't use this exact palette for highlighter but I cannot remember the name of mine and the label has been worn off haha, but this is similar. I like white highlighters on my skin tone as i feel like gold makes me look too yellow and then the coloured ones are only for special occasions to me. I apply highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes, underneath my brow, above my top lip and on the bridge and tip of my nose.
Tumblr media
eyelashes. my favourite part. only I use castor oil on my eyelashes after curling them instead of using mascara because I hate the way it makes my eyes feel so heavy. I also play a lot of volleyball and having to always worry about if I look like a racoon from my mascara smudging is not something I want or need.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
last, but not least. Ill use the tatcha Japanese peach lip jelly, I actually love this product so much and I'm always recommending it to other people and they all agree it makes their lips so soft. On a day where i feel like having 'bigger lips' ill use the Rimmel 1000 kisses lip liner in the shade spice, I think it matches my actual lip colour very seamlessly.

blog beginnings: skincare + makeup
currently in the mood to try blogging again. today is my day off, and i promised myself that i will let boredom takeover my life more often. i cherish boring days because this is the time when i embrace doing random things and completely abandon any type of planning.
today i feel like talking about makeup and skincare. im not an expert though, just an enthusiast.
Tumblr media
for skincare, i usually wear makeup and sunscreen (laneige hydro UV defense), so i like to take it off using the farmacy green clean cleansing balm. i ran out of this product recently, and sephora canada stopped carrying them (honestly RUDE), so i got a small size of the clinique take the day off charcoal cleansing balm just to try it out. i am not sure if im a fan of the clinique one... it doesn't do the job as good as the farmacy one 😐 after that i cleanse my face with the inkey list salicylic acid cleanser cause im a double cleanse girlie.
im on the hunt for a new toner so that's coming soon, and i recently got the needly daily toner pads which are so popular in korea right now. i tried it and i found that it already made me skin so soft and balanced after just 1 day of use 😮 of course im going to keep using this. after this i would use serums but im also out of the ordinary niacinamide serum so it's not in the photo. then i use a moisturizer (innisfree green tea hyaluronic acid cream).
sometimes i do masks too!
Tumblr media
i enjoy using makeup but im not as interested in it as i am with skincare for some reason 😋 i like to change up the products i use but the ones i have been using for a long time are these ones:
tarte face tape foundation (not pictured because im trying sephora's best skin ever foundation as i heard it's a dupe. it's not. maybe in the first hour? it doesn't last as long as the face tape foundation. listen, i know it can cost your kidneys, but the tarte foundation is amazing unfortunately 🤠)
tarte shape tape concealer (using a mini one right now because im looking for a dupe… again, this shit is expensive.)
glossier boy brow (i cannot find any good dupes either. love love love this product)
glossier pro-tip eyeliner (i love this because ive been in countless situations where i cried: went to therapy sessions where i cried, i was wearing this to the hospital when my dad was sick and i cried, i went to class and talked about heavy issues and i cried... and it never smudged. no racoon eyes. thank you glossier.)
kat von d everlasting liquid lipstick (which has been discontinued apparently. i love the lolita ii shade though. oh well)
kissme heroine make mascara (the only mascara for me. dont sleep on jbeauty! in the pic i also have the maybelline sky high mascara but i find that it doesn't last as long as kissme)
tarte aquaflash foundation brush (mermaid vibes, but also reeeaallly great when im using liquid products)
rare beauty liquid touch foundation brush (im starting to really like rare beauty)
newer ones im trying:
lys no limits cream bronzer stick (it's okay. very creamy and blendable!)
colorgram fruity glass tint (ummm no. the packaging is so cute but the product itself is a pass for me)
i use two eyeshadow palettes: colourpop smoke & roses and huda beauty rose quartz because i love pink shades and subtle glitter
colourpop sailormoon pink powder blush (i mean it's pink. and it's sailormoon.)
anastasia beverly hills translucent setting powder (i really want the charlotte tilbury one)
i have no setting spray at the moment but usually it's the nyx dewy finish setting spray. i also want the charlotte tilbury one...
as you may have noticed, i need to go shopping to restock 😋 i hope this entertained you a little bit, or even picked up some useful recommendations and ideas for your own skincare and makeup routine 😊 haircare, on the other hand, is a whole other beast.

#CHARLOTTE TILBURY CONTOUR WAND DUPE REDDIT SKIN#
#CHARLOTTE TILBURY CONTOUR WAND DUPE REDDIT SKIN#
It’ll leave your skin feeling healthy and clean. Garnier’s Micellar Water is just $9 and does a great job of removing any signs of makeup without drying out your skin. Stop using makeup wipes to remove your makeup and start using micellar water instead. I have a date tonight and I am scraping what is left of her and she is gone :(Any dupe recs or good contours that don’t have a lot of pore clogging ingredients I have an ulta and Sephora in my town so I’m about to head out. You get more but pay way less, which is a very good deal if you ask us This is arguably one of the best Charlotte Tilbury contour wand dupe because of its super similar gel-based formula. It’s only $9! Makeup Remover Shutterstock Charlotte Tilbury’s contour wand has been my HG for years and stupid tik tok made it sold out everywhere. KVD Beauty Liquid Gel Contour is cheaper than Charlotte Tilbury at 28 for 0.57 oz. But, if you want a Charlotte Tilbury dupe, try out NYX’s Born to Glow Concealer in a darker shade. It’s pricey (and always sold out), but it’s worth the splurge if you can get your hands on it. Charlotte Tilbury Dupes Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup (12.99, shop here ): Maybelline’s Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup is an affordable dupe for. Glossier’s Cloud Paint is another great liquid blush that makes it look like you’re not wearing any makeup.Īs for bronzers, Charlotte Tilbury’s Contour Wand is a major fan favorite. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is a highly sought-after shade of lipstick which makes this product difficult to get your hands on. Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is a fan favorite (and a little goes a long way). At only 8 for a tube of 0.12 oz ( 3.5 ml) of product, you can get this super affordable Charlotte Tilbury pillowtalk dupe for around 26 less Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Dupes Wrap-Up. If you struggle with really dry skin, or just love a dewy look, say goodbye to your powder blushes and bronzers and switch over to cream or liquid products. Plus, it’s super buildable, so you can have as little coverage or as much coverage as you want. Here are our dupes for Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm, which is a moderately warm-toned, medium-dark coral with a luminous finish. But, if you were hoping to find a cheaper alternative, those are out there as well! Maybelline’s Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation is less than $5 and will give your skin a nice glow.

Hellooo love, I hope your well❤️ I was wondering what bronzer should I get from sephora ?
I would say the Drunk Elephant bronzing drops are so good for an all round natural sun kissed appearance without looking unnatural and orange. I would have recommended the Charlotte Tilbury liquid wand bronzer but this dupe is better and much cheaper- the Revolution eye concealer in the shade deep caramel, so good 🫶 For a more expensive option the Gucci bronzer I’ve heard good things about and the Kosas one too

25 APRIL 2020
1:55PM
It’s so nice outside. Plenty of people are driving around too. This doesn’t seem like a quarantine at all. I had Burger King for lunch. Now, I’m fasting until tomorrow at 3pm.
Tumblr media
Last night, I watched this movie called To The Stars. It’s set in the 1960s in a small town in Oklahoma. A girl named Iris is the school outcast and has no friends until a new girl movies in named Maggie. Maggie is outgoing, fun, but has a dark past that she’s trying to hide. I won’t spoil the movie. I really enjoyed it. I pre-ordered it on itunes and I’ll definitely watch it again in the near future. It really captured that claustrophobic sense of being trapped in a small town and how terrible people can be. This movie will stay on my mind for a while. I always like friendship movies.
Aside from that, I’m watching season two of Afterlife by Ricky Gervais. I love this show. <3 Ricky Gervais <3.

I have three new makeup items. I bought two in the Sephora spring sale. I bought a mini of Milk Makeup bronzer (the lightest shade, can’t think of the name) and Kosas lipstick in the shade rosewater. I needed a new lipstick since my daily one that I wear, Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk, is on its last leg. I like this new lipstick because it’s creamy, but I could find a dupe by Revlon for half the cost. The bronzer is good, but I need to practice using it. I have one complaint that the twist cap on the bottom doesn’t push any product up. That might be a problem later.  The third makeup item I got was a $3.00 eyeshadow palette from ELF. It’s so pretty. I love basic brown. I can admit that it’s just as pretty as my more expensive eyeshadow palettes. I’ll check out wear time tomorrow when I do a full face.
I’m doing a 36 hour fast. It starts at midnight and ends on Monday at noon. I really hope that I can make it through this. I doubt myself and I’m certain other people doubt that I can do it. I just need to accomplish this small goal to kickstart myself into better living.

I pushed start on my fasting app a little bit early because I wasn’t going to consume anymore calories before midnight. Since then, I have cleaned my bathroom and used the Ordinary peeling solution that I always forget to use.
I’m crossing my fingers that I make it through this fast. I talked to someone earlier who kept saying “just fast for a day” because they knew I am never consistent with this. They weren’t being rude, but I want to prove them wrong.
