🐾 | everywhere his little goes, he goes too. He doesn't want his little one to wander too far ; so he often holds their hand whenever they're in public.

🐾 | if his little pet regresses he will always take them to a corner store to pick up any gear they'd like! Not limited to, beds, toys and comfort food

🐾 | he will also do this if his regressors wants agere gear of their own. He will take them to a nearby store to pick out whatever they'd like to bring home. If his little brings home a paci, he will take it and spend the next few hours making sure it's safe for you to use (ex; putting a bigger teet and removing the smaller one) and sometimes even decorating it for you.

🐾 | brought his stuffed bear from home so you could cuddle with it anytime you'd like! There are some days where he has to be away, so if you're little and missing him the bear will provide the comfort needed until he returns

🐾 | would probably call you "bud" when referring to you ; or use a short variation of your name

🐾 | works amazing with regressors of any age, but can relate more towards middle regressors

🐾 | with the right safety gear, he will always take you skating with him! If it's not your interest, he'll either let you sit and watch or have his friend(s) babysit until he's finished with skating for the day

🐾 | bought you too many coloring books for you to color in... At least you could never get bored?..

🐾 | cuddly cg 🙌

🐾 | Only trusts his roommates/friends to babysit you. On rare occasions he will let his dad babysit you as well! But he heavily prefers to be the only one to take care of you instead

i am having SOOO many thoughts rn about richie jason and max specifically. so. you get those now :3

regressor richie where jason and max are his main caregivers. they sit and research child appropriate animes and anime adjacent shows to watch with him. they find him soft graphic t-shirts with his favorite characters on them

regressor max where richie and jason are his caregivers. they play outside together in the mud with baseballs and footballs and all have to shower when they get back inside because they fell. they call him 'bear'. richie starts working out so he can join wrestling matches with them

max and richie regressing together. max "teaching" richie how to play games, richie showing him different cartoons and animes. they color together and show jason together and talk over each other to talk about what the other did

jason, who had no idea what age regression even was before richie brought it up, finding himself putting more effort into caregiving than he does football and school combined. he has a section of his closet where he hangs up drawings theyve made him. he's the best tickle moster youve ever seen. richie loves it, max wont admit he loves it

wait can i have a little hater moment again just for a minute. i reeeeeallly do not like texting and text log mechanics in otome games (and honestly any romance-based visual novel but i see it really commonly in otome and otome adjacent stuff) LIKE okay this is a personal skill issue but its nearly impossible to get me to text or message in any timely or reasonable manner in real life (sorry @ my irl friends following me.... im working on it) like i am NOT reading all that shit in a fake phone UI in a game i am playing for FUN. i love reading words but just give me an adv speech bubble for the love of god. nvl is fine too. please. please.

let’s add ‘the thing’ to this discussion of practical effects, bc it’s one of my fave movies of all time and still looks astonishing. It’s a combination of puppets, animatronics, and editing tricks like playing shots in reverse. Apologies for incoming body horror.

This is an animatronic, I believe. The cords and tendons are microwaved bubblegum.

The tentacles on the floor actually moved backwards towards the puppet; they filmed it normally and then added it in in reverse.

Iirc this was done the same way—carpenter uses that trick a lot in this movie.

I couldn’t find a gif of the exact moment after this, but when Copper—the guy holding the defibrillator—pulls back with his arms bitten off, it’s actually a double-amputee body double wearing a mask of the actor. It’s only a second or two of footage.

The stuff they used to make the steam coming off the prop on the table smelled so bad that all the actors didn’t have to act their disgust.

This was filmed on a sound stage; I know the ship in the foreground was a matte painting, and the background may be a matte painting w a guy on a ladder, but I’m not positive.

I tried to find a gif of the dead radio operator in the Norwegian base; he cut his wrists and throat and the blood pouring down has frozen solid. They used the stuff that makes twinkies shiny and dyed it red. There’s a shot where Kurt Russell tosses a stick of dynamite after one of the things (which was on fire and performed by a guy who was *literally on fire*), and if you watch him you can see him fling himself against the wall of the building, bc the actual explosion was bigger than anticipated. This movie is considered a landmark of special effects, right up there with the transformation sequence of ‘An American Werewolf in London’ (which incidentally was done by the mentor of the fx guy for ‘the thing’). If you wanna compare it to cgi, go watch the prequel made in 2011. Originally they were going to use puppets just like Carpenter’s version, but the studio pressured them to use cg instead, and it doesn’t look nearly as good. There’s a bts feature showing the puppets they’d built and there’s no contest, the puppets are far superior.

Marvel movies have completely eliminated the concept of practical effects from the movie-watching public’s consciousness
