Nikki Velasco is what Caroline Forbes was supposed to be.
#poorni speaks tv shows#both ambitious both good at school both having bad bfs (nate/matt) both can be mean at times#but the writers never have nikki blame leia for being insecure about nate#she calls NATE out and says she doesn’t have to believe him and talks about HIS flaws#but Caroline blames ELENA for Matt still pining and stays with Matt#and even with nikki while she can be snarky she’s NEVER outright a shitty friend (aside from when she and nate left gwen hanging in part 2)#Caroline treated Bonnie like for SEASONS#and for all nikki's flaws she would never marry someone who killed her best friend’s boyfriend and in front of said best friend#anti caroline forbes#I’m not but she can be…

UPCOMING BOTS / BOT DUMP!!
i’m a sucker for the fall season, every and any season CANNOT top the fall season at all. which is why i’m making (some) horror/halloween inspired bots—even if there’s like 70 something days till halloween. along with a few random bots i've done and going to do.
tvdu ☆彡
Kai Parker: 𓏲ּ ghostface au! 𓂃
after you caught his eyes, he had an inexplicable curiosity over you. every step you took, every conversation you had with other people, he was there, watching you from afar. of course, that didn’t sedate his curiosity over you. so, when someone in your orbit ventured a little too close, he took matters into his own hands—quite literally. he gutted the perceived threat, the world around him narrowing into a singular focus: you. to him, it wasn’t just a crime; it was an artistic expression, a violent confession of his feelings woven into a tapestry of blood and chaos. He crafted his work with meticulous care, each stroke of the blade a declaration of his affection. yet, in the heat of his actions, a twist of fate caught him off guard—there you were, witnessing it all. Elena Gilbert: 𓏲ּ halloween costumes 𓂃
caroline's halloween party loomed on the horizon, a spectral deadline that demanded perfection. every cobweb, jack-o'-lantern, and plastic skeleton needed to be meticulously placed. the entire event had to be flawless, a masterpiece of festive horror. you, however, felt a different kind of dread. social gatherings weren't your forte, and the thought of navigating a sea of costumed strangers made your stomach churn. but elena, with her infectious enthusiasm, had other plans. she'd already amassed an army of costumes for you to try on, each one more outrageous than the last. as she twirled before you in a dizzying parade of personas—from sultry vampire to whimsical fairy—her eyes sparkled with anticipation, silently demanding your opinion on each piece of clothing she’d modeled on herself. Elena Gilbert: 𓏲ּ cookies and kisses 𓂃
elena passion for baking was palpable, even if she wasn't a seasoned expert. what truly brought her joy was your presence in the kitchen, your willingness to join her culinary adventures. she cherished those moments when you'd sample her latest creations, those little baking treats she'd present with such enthusiasm. as you took that first bite, elena's eyes would light up, watching intently for your reaction. the moment you'd let out a contented groan of approval, a proud smile would bloom across her face, warming her from within. in those sweet instances, she felt a sense of accomplishment that went beyond the mere act of baking—it was about the connection, the shared experience, and the simple pleasure of making someone she cared for happy through her heartfelt efforts. Bonnie Bennett: 𓏲ּ season of the witch ( witch!user ) 𓂃
bonnie had gone to your place for witchcraft lessons, bringing some herbs you had specifically asked for, and of course, she brought the most important thing she needed for the lessons. herself. she knew that the lessons you were teaching her were more advanced, and that she needed to pay attention but as you began to explain the complex theories and gestures, she found her concentration wavering. your shoulder pressed against hers as you demonstrated a particularly intricate hand movement, the warmth of your body so close to hers, the subtle scent of herbs that clung to your skin, the intensity in your eyes as you spoke of each spell - it all combined to make her head spin.
Damon Salvatore: 𓏲ּ lost in your iris 𓂃
damon tried to fight his feelings for you, but you were his weakness. he sees you completely, and he’d do anything to have you near him. every glance you exchanged pulled him deeper into a world only you inhabited, where his heart raced and his resolve faltered. he yearned to lose himself in those captivating eyes, longing to feel the gentle spark of your existence beside him. Klaus Mikaelson: 𓏲ּ so confusing 𓂃
klaus wrestled with uncertainty, his feelings for you a tangled web of emotions. some days, he was convinced you harbored a deep-seated dislike for him, your every glance and gesture seeming to confirm his fears. other times, he caught himself nurturing a grudging resentment towards you, though he couldn't quite pinpoint its origin. despite all of that, he persistently suggested grabbing drinks. it had become his go-to solution, a way to bridge the gap between you two–or perhaps to blur the lines of your complicated relationship. so, inevitably, you'd find yourselves perched on barstools in some dimly lit establishment, nursing your drinks, surrounded by the hum of stranger's conversations. the atmosphere was always thick with unspoken words and lingering glances. sometimes, you'd manage to fall into an easy rhythm, laughing at shared jokes and swapping stories about your day. in these moments, the confusion would recede, and a genuine connection seemed possible. but more often than not, an awkward tension would creep in. silences stretched too long, laughter felt forced, and both of you would become hyper-aware of every word and gesture. ( this is actually my fav rn!! )
Klaus Mikaelson: 𓏲ּ his muse 𓂃
klaus always found himself getting lost in the dance of his hands across the canvas, transforming the lifeless white expanse into a vibrant masterpiece. the studio was his sanctuary, a world inhabited only by his artistic vision and you—his ethereal muse. in his eyes, you were the embodiment of perfection, and his brush strokes captured your essence without flaw. the art, a mirror of his perception, revealed no imperfections, for in his mind, you were utterly flawless.
spn ⟢
Dean Winchester: ๑ ︵ angels and halloween ( angel!user ) ᵎᵎ
you were an angel, which meant that you had no idea about humans, especially in their tradition of halloween. so when dean catches you staring at the halloween decor, and costumes in a store, he goes out of his way to make this a memorable halloween for the angel. he planned an elaborate evening, starting with pumpkin carving. your first attempt at pumpkin carving was... unique. the face you created had a lopsided grin and mismatched eyes, one comically larger than the other. next came costume selection, where the two of you went to the nearest halloween, a warehouse-sized space filled with endless racks of costumes and accessories. you browsed through countless options: superheroes, movie characters, mythical creatures. dean suggested a sexy devil costume with a mischievous grin, but you firmly declined, not finding the humor in it. ( i think this is my top 2 fav! )
Dean Winchester: ๑ ︵ insatiable ( vamp!user ) ᵎᵎ
dean’s fangs throbbed with an insatiable hunger, a primal urge he struggled to contain. every pulse of blood rushing through nearby veins called to him like a siren's song. the warmth radiating from human bodies sent shockwaves of desire coursing through his undead form. but resistance only seemed to intensify the craving. his heightened senses picked up on every nuance—the slight sheen of sweat on exposed skin, the rhythmic thump of hearts, the tantalizing scent of life itself. through it all, you observed him drinking in his struggle like a fine wine, with a knowing smirk playing at the corners of your mouth. your eyes sparkled with amusement, fully aware of the internal battle raging inside dean. you knew exactly what he craved—what he needed. and yet here you stood, taunting him, daring him to give in to his darkest impulses.
Dean Winchester: ๑ ︵ dark magic ( witch!user ) ᵎᵎ
dean wasn’t that awfully nice when it came down to witches or anything surrounding the supernatural. everything he stood suddenly disappeared when it came to you, logic fled and instinct reigned. your very existence seemed to weave an enchantment around him, bending his iron will as easily as a whisper bends a candle flame. in your orbit, he became a different man—softer, more open, as if you alone held the key to unlocking a hidden part of his soul. but your influence was not without cost. your magic, steeped in shadow, left a trail of upheaval in their wake. chaos bloomed wherever you tread, a dark garden of your own making. ( not sure i might stick with this plot, but am so hhhng im lazy )
Dean Winchester: ๑ ︵ might say somethin stupid ᵎᵎ
after a long, exhausting hunt, dean heads to a nearby bar to unwind. weighed down by the night's events, he orders a drink and surveys the room. his attention is quickly drawn to a stunning individual sitting a few stools away. intrigued, dean moves closer, captivated by their effortless beauty and presence. deciding to engage, he buys them a drink and leans in, confidently flirting with a playful question about their relationship status, hoping to shift the mood and distract himself from the tension of the hunt.
Sam Winchester: ๑ ︵ bloody date ᵎᵎ
it was catastrophic. sam knew, deep in his bones, what you truly were. he might have chastised himself for harboring feelings for you, convinced he was teetering on the edge of insanity as his heart clenched painfully within his chest at the mere thought of your presence. but fuck, you were worth it right? this date, however, shattered any remaining illusions. it was meant to be an intimate affair—small, meaningful, a cherished memory in the making. well, you sure as hell made it memorable for him to ever forget it. there you stood, fangs sunk deep into your helpless victim, crimson rivulets painting the edges of your mouth like some macabre artwork.
slashers ☆彡
Brahms Heelshire: ୭ ∿ i'll be good ∿
you had reluctantly accepted the nanny position, despite the suspiciously high salary. the isolated manor and eccentric heelshire family raised red flags, but desperation silenced your misgivings. nothing, however, could have prepared you for the absurdity of your charge – a porcelain doll named brahms. initially, you played along with the charade, following the strict rules set by the heelshires. but as days turned to weeks, an unsettling truth emerged. the real brahms was no doll, but a grown man, which in hindsight would be something to be freaked out about but for you it was fine, however the fact that the brahms could be a little too clingy was the problem. simple errands became ordeals. attempts to leave the property triggered tantrums, brahms clinging to you not wanting you to leave him.
Patrick Bateman: ୭ ∿ touch starved ∿
patrick never considered himself a touch-starved person. in fact, he often thrived in the artificial perfection of his meticulously curated life. he relished the combination of power suits and high-stakes finance, his existence orchestrated with a calculated precision that left no room for vulnerability. but from the moment you entered his life, everything changed. he found himself drawn to you like a moth to a flame, craving your touch in a way that defied his logical mind. in the upscale restaurants you frequented—places with starched tablecloths, crystal stemware, and prices that made most people wince—patrick's behavior shifted noticeably. while he once sat rigidly across from his dining companions, maintaining a respectable distance, with you he couldn't bear even that small separation. he'd guide you to the plush booth seating, sliding in close enough that your thighs touched beneath the table. as you perused the menu, his arm would find its way around your shoulders, fingers absently tracing patterns on your skin. during the meal, he'd lean in unnecessarily close to murmur observations about the food or other patrons, his breath warm against your ear. as the evenings wore on, patrick found increasingly creative ways to maintain contact. he'd reach across the table to adjust your napkin or brush an imaginary crumb from your cheek. Patrick Bateman: ୭ ∿ feeling bratty? ∿
patrick felt more on edge as time passed, a tightening coil of frustration that wound ever tighter within him. when the tension reached its boiling point, he reacted instinctively, striking out like a stray cat cornered and threatened, hissing and baring its tiny fangs. in that moment of vulnerability, his anger found an outlet in the nearest target—unfortunately, that target was you. deep down, he recognized his own insufferable behavior; he could feel the weight of it pressing down on him. he watched as you scoffed at his provocations or simply ignored his taunts, and each dismissive reaction stoked the flames of his irritation. the more you turned away, the more desperately he sought your attention, despite knowing the fire he was playing with could easily burn him.
misc ⟢
Soldier Boy: 𓂃 ꒰ freak show ꒱
Ben never imagined he'd find himself at the entrance of a peculiar circus, its weathered sign proclaiming "freak show" in faded letters. for weeks, vought's pr team had hounded him relentlessly, insisting that this appearance would be "good for public relations" and "humanize" him in the eyes of the masses. ben had scoffed at first, but their persistence wore him down like water on stone. now, here he was, surrounded by wide-eyed gawkers and the constant buzz of excited whispers. as the show began, ben found himself oddly captivated. each act was more outlandish than the last - contortionists twisting their bodies into impossible shapes, fire-breathers painting the air with flames, and strongmen hefting weights that should have been beyond human capability. but then, as the ringmaster's booming voice announced the next act, the tent fell into a hushed silence. a single spotlight illuminated the center ring, and ben's breath caught in his throat. there you were. the aerialist.
Stiles Stilinski: 𓂃 ꒰ favorite monster ꒱
stiles was well versed when it came down to the supernatural, he read every book, myth, and stories when it came to the supernatural. was well aware of the dangers of ghosts, werewolves, vampires the whole gist, you name it he undoubtedly knows it all. of course, you were a different case, a unique case that even though he knew the dangers about being a vampire he couldn’t for the life of himself get away from you. every late-night conversation and shared secret made it harder for him to keep his distance. as the two of you walked through the forest, discussing everything from pop culture to existentialism, it was at the very instant that your sudden laugh made his heart race. the warmth in your eyes and the way you would brush your hand with his rendered him utterly transfixed. he wondered how it was possible to feel so electrified and safe in the presence of someone who was, by all accounts, a threat. Stiles Stilinski: 𓂃 ꒰ you're ghostface ꒱
stiles didn’t know what to expect when the rumors of a serial killer began circulating in their small town. the gossip, dripping with fear and intrigue, shattered the fragile peace of beacon hills. as he stumbled through the dimly lit alley, the unmistakable glint of a knife illuminated by the flickering light from the nearby streetlamp caught his eye, and as the scene grew clearer, every hope he'd entertained shattered like glass. you, standing over a crumpled figure on the ground, the knife still gleaming in your hand, ghostface mask perched above your head. stiles had known you—i mean, really known you. the fact it was you, who was said killer made his stomach churn. he felt as though the ground had been pulled from beneath him, leaving him suspended in disbelief.
Madison Montgomery: 𓂃 ꒰ bitchy!user ꒱
madison's initial reaction to your caustic demeanor was a blend of irritation and intrigue. it catches her off guard; she's unaccustomed to having her façade challenged so directly. your unwavering stance and refusal to be cowed gnaws at her composure, chipping away at the armor of superiority she's cultivated. yet, beneath her outward indignation, she finds herself grudgingly impressed. your razor-sharp retorts and quick wit present a novel challenge—one that simultaneously infuriates and exhilarates her.
Madison Montgomery: 𓂃 ꒰ tobacco lips ꒱
before her death, madison was already dead inside. numb to the world, she craved to feel—anything. she chased oblivion through a haze of flesh, drugs, and alcohol, desperately seeking to drown the echoes of her past. each indulgence was a futile attempt to erase the memories: her mother's absence, her asshole of a father, the relentless scrutiny of the press, and the string of lovers who had taken pieces of her without leaving anything in return. she had found her way to the nearest bar, her face, heavily caked with makeup, felt like a mask weighing her down. her once-pearly teeth, now tobacco-stained, hid behind a sneer. the dress she'd chosen, meant to turn heads, only succeeded in making her look cheap rather than alluring. she navigated the crowded gathering with a practiced arrogance, projecting an aura of superiority she didn't feel. a fresh cigarette dangled from her lips, the filter stained with lipstick—a silent testament to her desperation. her words flowed freely, empty promises spilling from her mouth to the eager ears of men old enough to know better. then, through the haze of smoke and poor decisions, she saw you. beautiful, poised you—the coven's rising star, their future supreme. you stood surrounded by distinguished men, everything madison's admirers lacked. everything madison herself lacked. shame crashed over madison, as darted out, trying to get away from your sight.
might fix some of these but …. probably not anyway! @eppwtf on c.ai 😛

I finally gave up and saw TVD to understand some stuff in TO, and I just have to say: what an awfully written show. My goodness, how the hell is the most annoying girl in Mystic Falls the anchor who holds them together? Caroline, the fandom darling has no personality whatsoever. She's a camaleon, she's what they need her to be in the episode. Sometimes, she's the greatest soul alive, sometimes she's only there to slutshame another girl for doing exactly what she does. Sometimes she's pinning after her boyfriend, sometimes she backstabs him. Sometimes she's so repulsed by the 1000 year murder who bribes her with fancy things and sometimes she's okay to use the hell out of him to have what she needs. Elena, who's supposed to be the protagonist, becomes more and more the love interest to Damon. His love for her, that both recognize as toxic, comes from a sire bond and everyone insists to pretend that she loves him just the same without it as if she wasn't heavily projecting Stefan on him to the point he calls her out. The Originals, who were supposed to be invicible, the most insane of them just dies for a teenage hunter. Finn, the most sane one, portrait as a bore because he resented the bother who kept him in a coffin for thousands of years. Katherine, who I swear is one of the only two female characters really interesting in this show, is called a bitch all the time for the unforgivable crime of running from a psycho hybrid who wanted to slaughter her and then slaughtered her fucking family. Elijah and Rebekah does not exist outside of Klaus. Rebekah was just extremely annoying till they gave her a real personality and in the spin-off. Out of nowhere, she was obsessed with being human. Bonnie, poor Bonnie. The racism was blatantly showing. She was only there to be the magic negro trope. They didn't even allowed her to have romantic storyline! Her boyfriend who she resurrected cheats on her with a freaking ghost and she still back with him in season 5? She deserved so much better. Damon turns her mother in a vampire and then she's his best friend? She loses her entire family as well and is never treated with the same courtesy Elena has been treated. Not even the fancy balls she could attend, apparently. (Her wigs were also terrible. Poor Kat, they made her appear so old sometimes with those hairs).
And the romantic pairings? Awful. Damon and Elena were downright disgusting. He raped Caroline. Why everyone pretends he wasn't compelling her while having sex with her? Why all these centuries old man are so obsessed with fuck teenagers? How's that's romantic, date a girl on high school when you had two shares of a lifetime? Even if we take in consideration the lore that vampires stop aging when they're turned, the only couple who would make sense in this logic were Stefan and Elena, since Stefan was a teenager when turned. Klaus and Caroline had no romantic connection. She used him dry, he bite her to die to make a point to her boyfriend. He would be her last love but fucked her and left. She hated him but would happily accept his gifts while treating him like a dog. Damon and Elena loudly assume to each other that they are terrible together but then forget because they're fucking again. I swear to god, that relationship was pure based on their sex drive. She wanted that old dick so bad she blamed dead Katherine for the fact he killed her friend and threatened her brother.
The timeline made no sense. Plotholes all around. Why Bonnie couldn't make magic while being the anchor? Must be because she would be too powerful, and with Elena being so useless, they couldn't allow that. Caroline is another one completely useless for the plot. She could disappear from the show and wouldn't change a single thing.
It's really awful. After finally seeing this I can say with conviction that The Originals was the best they could have.

One of the main reasons I absolutely loved klaroline, is the way each of them developed on some way with each other.
You can say all you want but for me klaus is the better match for Caroline no matter what and here’s why I think this way.
From the start we could see how Caroline is severely insecure, she’s a misunderstood teenage girl, her parents are divorced, her mom didn’t have time for her always putting the work before her daughter, she always felt left out whenever it was at home or with her friends..and even with boys, Caroline felt like Elena’s shadow..and It was true. Whenever Elena wasn’t available they always choose Caroline as second option.
When Bonnie argue with Elena, she go stay with Caroline and completly ignore Elena, Matt went out with Caroline to try to move on from Elena, and same for Stefan. I felt like in later season him and Caroline was..I dont know but it was clear that he still loved Elena and yet he went with Caroline cause he needed to move on..so yeah Caroline was always Elena’s shadow.
”yes i am..I’m Matt’s Elena back up, I’m your Bonnie backup.
You don’t get it why would you ? You’re everyone first choice.”
I personally found it painful for Caroline to feel this way, she went her teenage era by being really insecure and felt unloved and not enough..that’s why she put the perfect image, that’s why it made her create some barrier over herself, she needed to be perfect at everything, she needed to put a mask for others to actually like her and love her, she couldn’t be really herself and no one understood her for real anyways.
And as we saw all her relationship with mens it was always her who was putting a lot of effort, it was always her who fought more for the guy, she was always chasing them, she put their needs first and forget her own.
Until..klaus came.
And here’s where we sense a change and a development more in her character in this aspect.
Like we saw klaus was the first and only one who saw Caroline’s really beauty instantly.
He saw that she was strong and smart, beautiful and full of light.
He even saw the darkest part of her and still kept fancy her and admire her at first..Klaus was the only one who could treat Caroline right.
He was always there reminding her of how beautiful and strong she was, he valued her more than anything, he draw for her many times, he gifted her expensive jewelry and dresses, he wanted to know everything about her, her hopes, her dreams, everything she want in life.
He always put her first for the first time above anything.
Even when the time goes she still meant something for him and still prioritize her when he could.
We could see that in the originals, how he didn’t even hesitate to save Stefan when he knew how worried she was even when it meant to put his life and everyone’s he loved In danger he still saved Stefan for the sake of her, that proved how she still had impact on him after years, he never doubt her skills or something like that.
He saved her from danger when he could, he supported her crisis and couldn’t say no to her to whatever she would ask, he really valued her, even compared her to a princess, that’s how klaus loved her, he never hide it from her.
And that was exactly what Caroline needed, she needed to feel loved without doubting it for a second.
While others made her feel insecure and unloved, klaus made her feel strong, with him she always brightened, she had power and felt better.
In her relationship with klaus she was the one who was desired and he was the one who was chasing after her..and like she said it was always the fun part anyway.
Also the fact how klaus could make her easily confident and all is amazing. And I think this is exactly what a right person should make you feel.
The right one would never make you feel unwanted and insecure, if you are with the right one you would never doubt it.
And this is how she felt with klaus unlike with others for the first time in her life she didn’t need to change for someone, she only was herself with him.
The way she felt like her existence lacked of meaning after she became vampire and it was showed in her birthday how she didn’t feel like it to celebrate it cause she realized that she will stuck in the between, and stay seventeen for the rest of her life.
She clearly lost taste of her life as she knew that she will live forever and it wasn’t as more exciting than before knowing that when you’re human you tend to enjoy every day of your life cause you don’t know when you will die.
But again, after she got bite by Tyler klaus had showed her another view of the world, he told her that there was a whole world waiting for her outside, that there was genuine beauty, art, music..he told her how eternity is beautiful in it’s own way too.
And he even gave her the choice to whatever or not she wanted to die if she really believed that her life meant nothing.
And that was at the moment when she realized that she didn’t want to die, also that was when she embraced completly her vampire nature and decided to be okay with it.
Due to him she accepted that part of herself and was more at ease with it.
After that she became more confident and used more her vampires abilities and all.
She wasn’t ashamed of being who she was anymore.
And when everyone excepted her to only give birth to the twins than disappear from their life and all.
And was always reminded that they weren’t hers actually.
Just like she reminded klaus of it every single time through the phone call, and he said how it was clearly stated by her boyfriend.
And still he knew that she wanted to be like a mother to them, he knew and comforted her about it,
He even confessed and share with her how he realized that at the end his family is what made him truly happy.
And told her then that it wasn’t a crime to love something we cannot explain.
Again only klaus could knew what she truly wanted and what she needed.
And while she was insecure about it before, after her talk with klaus she became more confident about it. She acknowledged it and accepted it.
And we could see the change when she argue with Alaric later.
“Our kids.
My kids. They are mine caroline, mine and Jo’s.”
And after that she clearly told him to not disrespect her like that anymore. And even when it is true that they weren’t completly hers by genetic, she still the one who gave birth to them and almost got killed while doing it. She was also the one who raised and taught them. She loved them truly like a real mother should and protected them with all her powers.
That’s how much klaus had impact on her.
He always made her feel better and confident.
It’s alway due to him to how she can accept some things that made her insecure before.
He made her knew her worth and she learned to value herself and respect herself too, she didn’t let others disrespect her the way Alaric did and all.
He brought out the best in her.
The fact that she went from feeling like no one in the world actually loved her, to feel loved for once.
She went from feeling always the second choice to actually be Someone’s first choice for the first time.
She went from feeling stupid, useless and shallow to actually feeling strong, confident and full of light with klaus.
She went from doubting others feelings toward her to actually acknowledging it fully.
”I fancy you, is it so hard to believe ?”
“Yes.”
To:
”I know that you’re in love with me and anyone who is capable of love is capable of being saved.”
Even when several years passed by, klaus made sure that she knows how her place for him remained the same.
”if we didn’t met until now, I wonder if you would even notice me.”
”it would be impossible not to notice you Caroline, your essence would hover around me, harangue me until I did.”
That’s why I will always think that klaus was the better match for her.
He was the only one who could understand her more than anyone, he didn’t even have to know her for a long time like her friends to actually know what she needed and wanted.
He could easily see through her the same she did with him.
When everyone were only searching the cure for Elena only klaus asked Caroline if she wanted to take It
Even tho he already knew that she wouldn’t, it showed his deep understanding level to her.
He always made sure that the others need to treat her well, just like he asked Stefan if he truly loved her, just like he made Stefan promise him to only do right by her cause it meant for him a lot.
Just like he asked Tyler if it was worth it to see her smile and then give him time to run even tho he never chased after him for Caroline’s sake.
No matter what Klaus is the only one who ever treated Caroline right.
He was the reason of her development.
Let me know what y’all think I’m really curious but yeah this is what i truly analyzed.

Okay, so this might be dumb asf, but to me the Hayley/Klaus baby makes no sense. To me the whole witch/werewolf thing is like your race or ethnicity it all comes down to percentage. If Hayley is 100% a werewolf and Klaus is 50% then Hope would come out 75% wolf and the other 25% would be broken up between being a human and a witch. I know it’s a big jump and it’s just a show but it has always bugged me lol like how is she a tribrid??? It just all seems like a poorly written Wattpad story lol, but if Bonnie was Hopes mother then that would have made more sense!!! I really look into things🤣
The lore of TVDU is truly lacking. There's no real in-depth explanation on witch families. If Klaus doesn't have the magic gene, how would he be able to pass that on to Hope? The whole "first born" thing doesn't make any sense. In no other instance in TVD does birth order establish power. For werewolf families, anyone born into one inherits the gene. This is not true for witches. It would make more sense for Kol or Freya's child to carry magic. Even then, it isn't guaranteed they'll have any power. Why do some witch bloodlines just stop having magic? We aren't given any explanation. They lazily throw in a storyline about Katherine being a Traveller witch but her bloodline has no power (Elena is magicless and Katherine having magic makes no sense). Instead of creating real rules for witchcraft and witch bloodlines, they put things together with no thought. It's aggravating how inconsistent it is and that they forced Petrovas into witchcraft, because they didn't want to focus on the history of the only active witch family in town. Bonnie lost her magic and suddenly white witches were everywhere.
Please if you haven’t check out my meta on Bonnie, the Bennett’s, Black witches and the Magical Negro Trope and Mammy trope! This is a warning for anyone who likes Hayley or Hope that will be offended by this. Do not continue to read here:
Again, I’m discouraged though I have no problem with discussing Klayley /Hayley or canon Hope. Due to the responses fans will give when it comes to speaking on Bonnie and her Bloodline. Bonnie is the only character to get repetitive moral policing from the writers to the fans. Yet do not hold the women (who happen to be white) in the same regard. Freya, Dahlia and the retconning about Esther exists to uplift Hope’s witch heritage. Then the series went a step further to give Hayley a witch ancestor who to me conceptual wise seems like Silas + Qetsiyah & Cade all in one. It doesn’t seem like that gene should’ve been that strong anyway.
TVD doesn’t value Bonnie the way the others are treated. Hayley had sex immediately upon her introduction. Hayley goes through relationships. Her friends care about her. If Hayley wants to snap off and fight she gets that right. Bonnie isn’t allowed to do half of those things. We’re told Hayley(and her bloodline) are someone/people to be cared about. Hayley is a werewolf Queen! The series does not do the same for Bonnie. She isn’t praised for being a Bennett witch, she doesn’t have equal desirability and isn’t prioritized. It isn’t until season 8 we get Bonnie saying she wants the life Caroline lived (home, kids, family and a partner..)
Hayley’s plots were centered around her motherhood and being a werewolf. None of that translated to Hope. Klaus wasn’t given any werewolf plots. So why center Hope’s life on being a witch? Hayley admits she didn’t understand Hope’s power. Hope’s tribrid era to explore her vampire side was short lived. Bonnie and Hayley have both faced abandonment and family struggles but Bonnie’s isn’t talked about enough like Hayley’s. If Hope did have a Bonnie as a mother there plenty to witch-connections to make from there through Bonnie’s history. It’s a big fuck you to Bonnie to me to include child witches and never allow those connections to blossom.
Fans would’ve hated it if Klonnie were a couple or a fling in canon. Many pretend that Bonnie’s blackness isn’t the issue when it comes to Bonnie possibilities when it often is. It is okay if Bonnie is friends with or helps terrible people in canon. Lines are suddenly drawn when you mention things in a romantic sense or more. The rules NEVER apply to their faves. Bonnie is the pentacle of humanity and no should be paired with her yet their faves can do whatever and still be a “good girl” while dating a man who is capable of mass murders.

“It does Bonnie's character a disservice to rob her of her agency and make her the victim of every situation”
EVERY SITUATION? bruh 😭💀
my mouth dropped when i read that on their reply 😭 the audacity is insane? bonnie never gets to be seen as the victim of anything, she just has to immediately get back to work helping her ‘friends’. like bffr??? we all wax poetic about things elena and caroline are victims of (and sometimes rightfully so because elena goes through a lot of trauma and imo a bad relationship, and then there’s caroline’s abuse from #him in season 1) but the second someone talks about ways bonnie is mistreated…? or could’ve been treated better? or how the writing didn’t care about her or her losing her dad and even her life (which was for jeremy btw 😭 who at this point has cheated on her and they didn’t properly rekindle their friendship after because the writers didn’t care to devote screentime to that)
Arguing you don’t understand why fans consider Elena and Caroline as bad friends in that moment then after given a proper reasoning saying I did Bonnie a disservice and robbed her of her agency.. so much anti blackness and audacity…There is no excuse. The misogynoir leaped in the most disgusting way possible.
Bonnie isn’t allowed to be a victim and she isn’t granted space to be a villain either. She’s punished whether she does or doesn’t help. There are many articles, videos, metas and more dedicated to how Bonnie and Kat were so throughly mistreated from Bonnie to her family members at the hands of the writers.
There’s a reason why a new generation of black fantasy authors, script writers, etc etc exist because those black fans had to endure 8 years of racism subjected to the one black woman lead in the show(and fans of course). There aren’t a lot of black women in the fantasy/vampire genre, and for a while Bonnie was all people had. Especially with 8 seasons worth of content. What some fans reply with tells you exactly how they see black women and people IRL. Bonnie is fictional, but those narrative do apply to black women and people.
That user and their bestie are racist and anti-black. What was so hysterical about black fans explaining to you why that plot was poorly handled? How racism and anti-blackness was ingrained in that plot that’s funny to y’all? What’s even more distasteful is the Plecverse writers are responsible but it is me, according to them, a black woman who stripped Bonnie of her agency and made her a victim in everything.
They could’ve used Rudy’s death to help everyone realize something was up with Bonnie. They could’ve made Jeremy coming back about Bonnie’s love for him not Elena’s needs. There’s a lot of woulda, couldas in there but they didn’t. There was no respect to Bonnie and her black father yet a season later Caroline had everyone camped out with her after Liz died due to natural causes. Rudy couldn’t even die naturally, he had to be murdered in front of everyone while he praised Bonnie. It was brutal as hell to Bonnie and that makes her a victim.
I hope we are in a better space in the future that protects black actors and actresses from fans like this. Same for the fans, more people speaking out when they see it will help.
If you are uncomfortable with the discussions of race you need to check your privilege or admit you’re probably racist period. Black women shouldn’t be seen as vessels for white women because that’s exactly how they viewed Bonnie in their replies.
Thank you for being kind 💜💜
#roservssell#Plecverse heard how black women are so unprotected even when we are hurt and still said it is our job to save everyone’s life before#our own and it is truly harmful#mind you when Bonnie died for Jeremy she wasn’t dating him at the time lol#and those be the fans who have the most complaints when Bonnie fans say she should’ve ditched MF and told them to kiss her ass but yeah#Bonnie isn’t a victim LMFAOO fuck 😭#anyway to my Elena and Caroline mutuals ily this wasn’t about you at all 🥰💜#anti tvd

the ONLY two selfish ass reasons i didn't want bonnie to be hope's mother (in canon) is that i don't think bonnie would want to be a mother straight out of high school (not that she got to fucking experience college ANY DAMN WAY but i think that even in a delicious klonnie world bonnie would want to have kids after college) and anything they said/did to phoebe would have been ten times worse to kat simply because she's black. especially the candice/caroline fans lmfao i know she got hate anyway but that specific breed of insanity was just too much and i didn't even like hayley or phoebe's ass
I definitely get what you mean.
Bonnie would have been a child carrying a child if Hope had still been procreated in season four, and I definitely think carrying a Mikaelson's child, especially Klaus’s, would have fucked up with her, especially being so young. This doesn't mean I wouldn't have loved to see Bonnie in New Orleans or in a romantic relationship with Klaus, though, because I definitely would have enjoyed it. But having kids straight out of high school hardly ends up well.
Though the fans would have been absolutely ruthless with Kat if she had been Hope's mother or even related to Klaus in any way. Just look at how they treated Hayley, who didn't even have a relationship with him, or the way they bashed Cami, who wasn't in a canonical romantical relationship with Klaus until season three. Especially if Bonnie had become pregnant with Hope (or whatever a klonnie child would be called) the same way Hayley was: a one night stand, no strings attached.
There's a lot of reasons why people believe Klaus and Bonnie shouldn't have been a couple, and I'm willing to hear them all unless it's the classic "Bonnie is too pure to be romantically interwined with Klaus" because that's clearly stupid and just false.

“I think I would have kept Damon the same and changed how everyone else was allowed to react to him. The problem wasn't Damon being a shitty person but the writing protecting him from the consequence of said shittiness.”
Omg yes! I read a post once that said there really wasn’t a greater villain in TVD than Damon and I agree. There was nothing Klaus or Katherine did that Damon didn’t already do. Yet they act like Katherine (the woman of course) is irredeemable and Damon is made out to be some sort of anti-hero.
I’ve also seen a post that if TVD was gonna recycle a villain for the series finale it should’ve ended with Damon being the ultimate villain.
Like you said it’s the way the writers treat Damon that’s frustrating.
I’ve always rewritten Season 6 in my head as the season where everyone is done with Damon. From the introduction of Sarah Salvatore, Caroline’s no humanity arc, Bonnie being abandoned by everyone, Elena forgetting her “love” for Damon. Tyler being the lone wolf who had his uncle murdered by Damon. It just seemed like the perfect season for this to have happened.
Julie’s creepy infatuation with Ian/Damon has truly been the downfall of this show.
Everything you said, especially the part about Damon. being the most villainous villain on the show.

Hey, love your posts and I hope we aren’t annoying with all of these asks!
What are your thoughts on Alaric Saltzman?
Not annoying at all! I love asks. I'm probably going to post anyway so asks just give me a direction to start talking in!
Alaric Saltzman is one of those characters who would have benefitted from staying dead.
Throughout TVD
He comes onto the show as this really great character. He's one of the few humans who knows about the supernatural world and is able to protect the teens better because of it. I love that he really becomes a parental figure to Elena and Jeremy. This time in TVD was really peak. I loved him and Jenna. I thought the conflict between Jenna not knowing plus Isobel coming back was so interesting. I really wanted Jenna to survive as a vampire and get to see that play out. All and all, I really enjoyed his character.
The storyline with the Gilbert ring was really interesting too. And how Esther was tied into it before even entering the show. But to me he should have stayed dead after he died when Elena died. It didn't feel like his character was ever as necessary again or as good. And this is coming from someone who loves him and Jo. But the whole "turning human from being saved in the 'no magic' zone" just seemed to go against the rules of the show. If it was that easy, we would see so many more people doing it. Also why wouldn't they have done it for Elena who desperately wanted to be human? I know she does enter it to get her memories back but they didn't have a doctor with her trying to save her. It just feels like they would have tried it on more people. Or what about Caroline? I know the fandom likes her better as a vampire, but she didn't even get a chance to want to be human again. I digress.
Where he starts going downhill for me, is really after Jo's death. Which is kind of understandable, but he just never recovers. After Jo dies, he goes on a spiral to try and bring her back. Again, understandable given how he lost her and the babies. I even like how gentle he was with the soul they accidentally put into Jo. But he's not really helpful to the plot at this point. If anything, he is the reason everything with the phoenix stone happened. He asked 20 year old Bonnie to get invovled, knowing it was dark magic and knowing Bonnie's history with dark magic. He was willing to risk her sanity and safety to bring back Jo. He never even apologized for it at any point. I get he was desperate, but this just highlights the rest of his character throughout TVD and Legacies. He is constantly willing to do anything to keep himself safe. It's almost like he thinks less of supernatural creatures. Like they don't deserve his consideration.
This is shown with how he treats Caroline throughout the pregnancy and after the twins are born. The fact that he doesn't even really consider what sacrifice it is for Caroline. She puts her life on hold to have his children, risking her life, and then even more after they are born to help him raise them. And then when it gets too hard, he wants to take them away from her, claiming they were never hers. I get he wanted to get them out of harms way, but they are siphoner witches, they are inherently supernatural. He wanted to remove them completely from the supernatural world with no way to teach them. I also just try to block out any type of romantic relationship between Alaric and Caroline. This was clearly just forced by the writers to cause conflict. It was clear neither of them really were into it.
I feel like in the last season we get a little bit of early Alaric back. We get to see him working with students again. But again, this easily could have just gone to a new character.
Throughout TO
His role in TO made near no sense. I've said it before, and I know I've seen others talk about it. But it would have been great for Tyler to be invovled (I think he was dead already, but his death was pointless and shouldn't have happened). It could have been anyone helping Elijah and Marcel find the Hollow bone. It would have made more sense for it to be a supernatural being considering how important the mission was. Everyone makes fun of Matt for surviving, but seems to be okay with Alaric surviving as long as he did when he's actively putting himself in these situations.
The only reason he was brought onto TO was to talk about Legacies. Again, ignoring plot to promote the next project.
Throughout Legacies
Alaric taking over a magical boarding school has to be the dumbest plot throughout TVDU. How is everyone alright with two humans (him and Dorian) running a school for magical beings. Again, I have not seen Legacies, but I've been told that he puts misbehaved students in a prison world?? Also the fact that Hope nearly kills him. They needed to have a supernatural person running the school who, first knew what they were going through, and two had the ability to protect the students and the school. Alaric's protection was throwing his teenage students at the monsters and hoping for the best. It's sad because most of these kids are there because they don't have anyone looking out for them, so Alaric takes advantage of this. He was supposed to be the one looking out for them.
The fact that the fandom all agrees that Hayley, Elijah, and Klaus were killed in TO because they never would have let the plot of Legacies happen shows just how bad it was.
And every scene I see with Alaric talking to Hope is just him reminding Hope of who her father is. How is that helpful? Children are not their parents and behavior doesn't function that way. If anything, he had more influence over Hope than Klaus since he was with her throughout her life more. I get Alaric's anger against the Mikaelsons and specifically Klaus, but he was the one that lobbied for Hope to come to the school. He told Hayley he would protect her. It breaks my heart that Hope felt like she didn't have a piece of her mom because she was turning into her dad. But with Alaric telling her that every five minutes no wonder.
I will also never get over how he treated his children. I know Lizzie stans tend to hate Josie because of how she responded to Lizzie's mental health, but that's learned behavior. Josie is a teenager and we see (I think) throughout Legacies, that she and Lizzie get closer and do better. From one of the early episodes I did watch, I remember Alaric is outside training Hope (we never see him train his own children) and Josie comes out and makes a snide comment about Lizzie. Alaric doesn't correct it or anything. He just goes and calms Lizzie down. But how is Lizzie not on medication or seeing someone regularly. They have a witch counselor, but for the most part it doesn't seem to be helping her. I don't blame the students or Josie for not knowing how to handle Lizzie because it's clear that it is learned behavior from Alaric (and even Caroline) not knowing how to handle Lizzie.
Also, Matt Davis being the worst and yet JP et al. kept inviting him back?? It just shows how toxic the set was. I wish they would have overhauled and got a new creative team before Legacies to protect the cast, but that wasn't the networks priority. It's a big reason I don't stream anything in the TVDU or anything JP has worked on.
Thanks for the ask! Never feel bad for asking! If I don't have time, I'll just get to it later <3

Beremy Anon Question
Hi my screen capture didn’t show so I’ll send this in very long asks….——
There was no indication that Jeremy had a crush on Bonnie prior to Season Two. Now I’m going to be more specific, there’s no indication that Jeremy had a crush on Bonnie prior to finding out she was a witch. In hindsight, Jeremy’s attraction to Bonnie reads as though he’s fetishizing her which I don’t think I need to point out why that’s unsettling. She’s hot to him because she’s a witch, because she’s powerful and even though I will acknowledge that he eventually does have genuine care and love for her, I can’t get with the initial fetishizing. It taints it.
They are not compatible. I mean sure, Jeremy’s puppy dog fawning over Bonnie was cute and they have some cute, feel good scenes but there’s no substance there. They have no shared interests (although to be fair, Bonnie has no known interests period), they have nothing in common except finding each other hot, living in the same town and being mixed up in said town’s supernatural drama, and caring about Elena. Bonnie and Jeremy never talked to each other or connected the way he did with Anna. Anna was a better match for Jeremy.
Jeremy was the writer’s consolation prize to Bonnie. Caroline had an epic romance with Tyler and was lusted over by the world’s most powerful immortal. Elena had two immortal brothers vying for her love and affection and moving heaven and earth to protect her. Bonnie, a powerful witch, descending from a line of strong, powerful witches had her best-friend’s little brother. Let that sink in.
=========
magic was the conduit for him looking at Bonnie differently. He didn’t start to see Bonnie as a person, until he saw her as a witch. I have always felt like if Bonnie wasn’t a witch, then the result of their relationship would have been the same thing we got from their relationship in S1 and the start of S2 which was non-existence. That’s my opinion and I’m not saying that it’s fact because we have no way of knowing that. But seeing how invested he wanted to be in the supernatural world and how apart of he wanted to be and ultimately became or how in the season before, his fascination with vampires and wanting to become one for a time. I’m just inferring based on the whole picture that Bonnie being supernatural is what opened his eyes to her.
======
Jeremy is thrilled by Bonnie being supernatural. He was thrilled and even more enamored with Anna being a vampire and wanted to be apart of her world. For the sake of intellectual honesty I’ll acknowledge that he also had a lot of emotional issues so that factored into wanting to be a vampire as well. But he liked the idea of Anna being a vampire. And when Elena started to keep him in the loop about all the other vampire and supernatural drama, he wanted to be apart of it. He wanted to be involved. He couldn’t understand why Bonnie didn’t like being a witch more because he thought it was so cool (but also respected the reason why she felt that way), talked to her about all the spells he’d cast if he was a witch, and with a little push from Caroline, admitted that he thought Bonnie doing spells was hot.
Adrenaline. In just a handful of episodes, they were in a lot of high stress situations. Put two hot people in close proximity to each other in those environments and sparks will fly.
He trauma bonded a little to her in Rose (2x08) over the fact that she feels alone in all the witch stuff and he feels alone in general. I guess for someone like Jeremy that’s a big deal but doesn’t overall do much for me in supporting this ship.
He does eventually start to see and appreciate her personality. He admires her virtue and willingness to put herself on the line for the people she cares about. And maybe where my fault is in assessing this relationship is maybe conflating those aspects of Bonnie’s virtue and selflessness with her magic as one in the same because that’s the way the show treats it. Bonnie is all those things because she has the power to be and the context of him being able to see that about her and acknowledge those traits comes from the fact that she’s able to offer magical solutions to everyone’s problems. She’s able to put on her conical hero hat, swoop in on her broomstick and kick some ass.
===============================================
Am I reading too much into this? There’s something about the way they keep insisting that Jeremy “fetishised” Bonnie that rubs me the wrong way. They frame the fact that the supernatural world made Jeremy notice Bonnie in a negative way. But isn’t that the same reason why Tyler and Caroline noticed each other? They also grew up together and presumably never found each other attractive or romantic interests, until they both found themselves in the supernatural world. They also “trauma bonded” if you want to be technical. Yet I feel that this person is deliberately casting Beremy in tthe worst light, and they’re doing it in a way that primarily disparages Bonnie. I’m sorry I’m not making myself clear.
*************************************************************************************
Zal Response:
OK. So. I find it ironic that this person doesn’t care for Beremy because Jeremy “fetishizes” Bonnie’s magic but thinks Anna was a better match for him when so much of their relationship revolves around Jeremy being preoccupied with Anna’s vampirism
because he emotionally manipulates her so she could turn him into one so he could be with Vicki
and even when he’s past that, their sex scene is entwined with how sexy/cool he finds her vampirism
It’s totally OK that that is a huge part of their love story (as well as with Anna using him so she could get to Pearl) that before he figured out she was a vampire, this was how he reacted to her
that Damon has to tell him to go for it
but Jeremy being curious about Bonnie’s magic is the real issue? Please.
Also, if they actually paid attention to his reactions in 2x07, it’s not Bonnie’s magic that he finds attractive, it’s Bonnie’s inability to stay out of the mess because she wants to do the right thing. She tells him that she hates being stuck in the middle but she doesn’t want other people to get hurt
and he finds that admirable, he smiles to himself and keeps looking at her
Even when he’s talking to her about whether or not she can do a spell to ace a test or a sex spell, he’s making small talk
because what he really wants to say is
Even here, it’s Caroline who brings up how hot it is to be a witch
which Elena does too in season 1 when Bonnie goes on that date with Ben and she encourages her to kiss him
because it’s an easy way to get the ball rolling on how he feels.
Just like how he wants to spend time with her so he basically does the supernatural version of “hey, why don’t you come to my house and study?”
It’s not really about the magic but when they do the magic it exacerbates the romantic tension they have
Jeremy and Anna play foosball as she’s trying to get him to believe that vampires can be real
and they play video games as he’s pumping her for information about vampirism,
so they may be doing “common interest” things but their topic of conversation isn’t “common interest”, they’re not Stelena,
they’re not Maroline
it’s still revolved around vampirism,
which is their true common interest.
Why is that better than Jeremy making fun of Bonnie for how bad she is at pool?
or them just hanging out at The Grill? (I still love that these are two different episodes and Jeremy is effectively wearing the same shirt)
Jeremy and Anna having conversations about how he feels lost and alone
and Jeremy choosing to go to a party with Anna because he’s tired of being the loner little brother
and he wants someone who lurks and vaguely stalks him to help him re-enter the high school social scene
and to be his girlfriend to get over Vicki
is bonding, but Bonnie divulging her anxiety about her well-being
and Jeremy being protective of her because he doesn’t want to see her hurt and being her safe space
while also understanding what it’s like to lose family members
isn’t bonding? Why?
This person admits that the show doesn’t give Bonnie any real interests, which is true because her storylines revolve around her being a witch and being sacrificial and a tool for the other characters, so a) Jeremy being the person she learns her spells with and strengthens her power with
the person she looks through grimoires with,
the person she comes to realizations with
when previously, we didn’t see her do that, she just appeared in scenes knowing spells
or she came to know her powers on her own/with Grams
is a form of them doing the “small things” together in the context of how Bonnie is written.
b) Jeremy telling her and telling everyone else that she is not there to sacrifice for everyone, that she has limits, that she is human, him being a person she can be vulnerable with, gives their relationship substance, it’s just Bonnie-centric.
And every time there’s a relationship that’s Bonnie-centric (as much as the show allows), people do their best to twist it into making it seem like it’s a relationship that harms Bonnie instead. And I say this as a person who doesn’t even care that much about Beremy but it’s transparent and I’m over it.

Caroline’s pretty much the same person she was before becoming a vampire. I think the writing for her just went down in several instances when they tried to shove her into everything and have her be the “Helen of Troy” for Mystic Falls. It’s true that she didn’t have any major plots for much of the show.
When it comes to Elena and Caroline, I never bought their best friendship. From the beginning of the show it was established that Bonnie was the bridge between these girls. Elena & Bonnie were best friends and Bonnie & Caroline were friends but Caroline and Elena only appeared to be friends cause of their shared friendship with Bonnie. That’s why it made even less sense to shove Bonnie to the wayside and act like Elena and Caroline were the best of friends by the time season 3 rolled around and they were writing Caroline like she was the second female lead (which a lot of people and even articles claimed she was even if unofficially). I just felt it was insulting to Bonnie but other than that, Caroline’s writing was just extremely weak.
Personally I think that Caroline as a character does make sense given that she always comes across as purposefully insensitive, selfish, self-centred and shallow. And with that in mind, she makes sense. But the show pushes for " full of light, compassionate and empathetic" which she isn't.
Regarding her friendship with Elena and Bonnie it's really just that they were childhood friends, they live in a small town and they are both too kind. But other than that her friendship with Elena is not very believable. Her friendship would Bonnie would've been the same if not for the fact that Julie never let Kat shine, she kept her in the worsts outfits and forced her to wear a wig. If Bonnie wasn't constantly sidelined and treated as the "ugly one" then Caroline would've been equally jealous of her.

I saw one of your mentions about Bonnie, realized I really dislike the majority of tvd fandom & why I don't bother exploring the tags outside of Bonnie centered stuff for the sole reason that she is never even discussed in detail among the majority. She's largely overlooked in these anti Delena, anti Klaroline mentions & they somehow turn it around into the same old "xyz is the real victim here". Literally saw a post were they discussed all these third tier characters like Lexi, Vicki, Rose & some other irrelevant stuff in comparison to Caroline/Elena that basically falls in line with how their plots were ignored or done terribly (even though they WEREN'T & literally had more screentime/agency than Bonnie - a main witch character who served more purpose plot wise). Its really annoying that they complain about things that are fine & don't need fixing.
They will do anything to avoid talking about anything Bonnie related other than the tired slogan "Bonnie deserved better", which always sounds like a lazy fake attempt at pretending to care. & Worse, when actual Bonnie fans discuss how to write her plots better, those said stans try to cut down any theories outside of canon & say how it's unrealistic or some other tired excuse they never give to any other characters except hers.
See that’s why I can’t stand when Stan’s say Bonnie’s a fan favorite or say she’s the most loved character bc she just started to get her hype and even then she still gets an equal amount of hate. THB looking at how ppl talk about Bonnie outside of her Stan’s to me its like looking at another version of the writers. They see her as a plot device just as much as the writers and they don’t care about her struggles nor care to understand them.
For example when Bonnie ignored Elena after her grams died everyone was all like “omg Bonnie’s such a bad friend” or would think that Bonnie was blaming Elena for Grams dying when she never said that. In the show she even told Elena that she didn’t blame her for grams death. She just wanted space from her and considering how Elena was buddy buddy with the Salvatore her distancing herself from Elena was valid. But They don’t care about how Bonnie felt seeing her friend all lovey-dovey with people who caused her pain. They say “well maybe if Bonnie didn’t beg grams to open the tomb then she wouldn’t of died” (which is not true) but if Bonnie didn’t open the tomb then the Salvatore would’ve been stuck and y’all still would’ve been hating on Bonnie.
Same thing happened when Bonnie didn’t like Damon at first. Ppl called her annoying for being rude to the Salvatore’s when Damon almost killed her and he did nothing but cause problems. But ppl wonder why Bonnie didn’t like him. Then suddenly they love her in season six when her and Damon became best friends. Then it was “oh I love this new side to Bonnie”. 🙄
Even when Bonnie didn’t deactivate the Gilbert device and Caroline became a vampire; Bonnie was distant to her and Stans acted like Bonnie’s actions were unjustified and villainized her. Even though they knew Bonnie has had nothing but negative encounters with vampires before and had suffered bc of the presence of vampires so it would make sense why she’d be guarded with Caroline. Caroline‘s mother and father reacted the same way and so did Matt when they found out she was a vampire. They say Bonnie had no right to treat Caroline rudely when she is the reason Caroline a vampire even tho Katherine is the one who killed Caroline. Yet she gets praised all the time for making Caroline a better person. They even try to use the fact that Bonnie asked Damon to give Caroline blood against her and villainize Bonnie more when her intentions in asking Damon to save Caroline were pure and Damon didn’t have to listen to her. The thing is even if Bonnie did deactivate the Gilbert device in the situation ppl still would’ve gotten hurt bc the tomb vampires were ready to attack founding family members so Bonnie still would of been hated on for not “doing her job”.
There was really no winning for Bonnie at all. They just want her to do what needed to be done to protect their faves then go in the shadows.
It even shows when some Stan’s write fanfictions. Them time travel stories of Bonnie messing up a spell and it pushes Elena or Caroline or both back in time with the Salvatore or the Mikealsons; She still a plot device to Stan’s.
These be the same Stan’s that claim Bonnie Stan’s be trying to make her the main character or that we’re trying to steal Elena and Caroline’s shine when we make suggestions on how the writers could have written Bonnie’s character better. And like you said they always make it seem like anything outside canon is unrealistic or “outside of Bonnie’s character” when in reality they’re just can’t stand the thought of Bonnie being with their favorite white men. Just like the writers. 🙄
Also, sorry for the late response. I just recently got into tumblr more than before. 😁

Saw a Stefan fan say this on Enzo in 5x20 and him being held accountable and his actions being portrayed as realisticly creepy unlike Damon's even though it wasn't and he didn't apologize to Elena and she didn't confront him like Caroline and Bonnie did with Damon. Bonenzo and Bonnie are never seen as a problem because of Elena's issues with Enzo nor is Bamon friendship or romance because of how Caroline and Elena herself were treated while Delena is seen as a problem because of her friends' issues with him and it was stated as such in 4x8:
Enzo watches Elena like a creep then Elena takes a bath and he tries to drown her although vampires can’t really drown so who knows what his goal was here. It's gross he waits until she’s naked to do this for the titillation aspect. He was Damon’s friend after all by creeping on elena in inappropriate ways. Damon had 0 respect for her boundaries. The show portrayed him as quirky for doing it and never held him accountable even when Elena asked him to stop. The show portrayed Enzo as being a creep in this moment but it goes to show that when writers like a character or want to redeem them they can justify anything they do and then when someone else does the same thing it’s creepy.
Damon had respect for Elena's boundaries, but it was... limited. They wanted him to push her boundaries to make her feel everything on a deeper level. They're pretty big on Delena's 'near touch' scenes. When he walked out naked in front of her and she threw him a towel, he wrapped himself. When he was stripping in front of her, he stopped and asked if she wanted to stay for the show. Even when they're fully clothed, as you see in this scene...
He stops. When he's laying in her bed and she's pulling on the covers, he doesn't get out of her bed because she doesn't tell him to get out of her bed. Hell, Damon has enough respect to leave his own bedroom when she kicks him out. He never walked in on Elena when she was naked. She was in her pjs when he told her, "If I see something I haven't seen before, I'll throw a dollar at it." It's because Damon is written to push her boundaries that Elena has few scenes where she actually tells him to stop. Like here...
She doesn't tell him to stop, she simply backs up. Even when he tries to kiss her in 2x1, they only allow him to push so far. While they did want him to push her boundaries, they didn't want him to force it because they wanted fans to be able to ship them. He's more like Stefan invading her bedroom in 1x6, and leaving when she tells him to.
So you get scenes like him being in her bedroom, but she's not telling him to leave. She's like, "Seriously?" He pushes her boundaries more in season 3 because he knows about her feelings for him and he's expanding those boundaries.
I suppose they gloss over Enzo because she had no idea he was there. But yeah, he waited until she was naked and in the bathtub.

Thoughts on 3x01-3x11, lol I WROTE SO MUCH but this season (especially this half) has so much happening it's kind of impossible to not have a lot of thoughts. This is also where the show starts to embrace being more comedic (like this show is really a dark comedy at it's heart) so that helps. More characters being involved in the supernatural business also helps and up-powering Tyler is great for the plot IMO. I don't think Klaus was as strong of a villian as Katherine was last season (he is so whiny in the first half) but he started to get a little more interesting after he came back, maybe he just needed his hybrid minions to become more interesting. More below, I even broke it up in episode order!
3x01
Isn’t Elena’s birthday in June? She said Ric spent half the summer on the couch but that would mean it’s gotta be late July early August, right? (don't know why I'm even trying to make sense of this show's timeline)
I forgot that A Drop in the Ocean was played during a montage and included Forwood sexy time! What a moment. When I first watched the show the Stefan and Elena scene at the end is when I actually started shipping Stelena, it was the first time I really felt like they truly loved each other (song helped too because WHAT A SONG I always sing-a-long). I didn't feel that same buzz this time though, but maybe too much time as passed (and that damn scene in 6x02 saying this was when Elena fell in love with Damon takes a lot away from my old feels). I'm getting such a buzz from Forwood though!
3x02
Elena’s getting on my damn nerves with this stupid rescue mission in the woods during a full moon… I don’t understand how Ric and Damon agreed. I fail to see any reason for this nonsense plan.
3x03
The moment in the 20s flashbacks when Stefan is looking at Rebekah while Klaus is talking to him and then he turns and looks at Klaus with the biggest heart eyes I have ever seen him use how am I supposed to not ship it? The way they keep using "brother" to hide the extremely heavy gay subtext too I S2G. If this show was made 10 years later on a better network with better writers that subtext would be straight-up text! Think Louis and Lestat on AMC's Interview with the Vampire. In that just world I would have gotten canon Klefaroline dammit!
3x04
Caroline is a much better person than I because she's protecting her Dad meanwhile I'm counting down the episodes until he drops dead.
Stefan is really off his game (happens when he's too emotional about something) I cannot believe he got out-manipulated by Rebekah one of the most easily manipulated characters on this show. Pathetic really.
As soon as Beremy started being cute the writers start fucking it up for Bonnie. Makes me madder watching it all over again and how much they never give Bonnie the devoted love interests like Caro and Elena. And I like Jeremy and Anna but I’m so annoyed at this whole storyline in how it’s treating Bonnie I can’t even enjoy it. GFY Julie.
3x05
Completely forgot Bill Forbes taught himself how to resist compulsion (IDK why too it's a big plot point oops) and I can't believe none of these idiots bothered to learn how. I like to believe Caroline did and there's a class at the Salvatore Boarding School that teaches it.
The gym buzzer countdown was a nice touch lol.
3x06
I like that Rebekah narrowed in on Caroline and was like “you, I want your life” because she sees the vision and the potential! In all seriousness though I wonder if Rebekah having an interest in Caroline is why the writers picked Caroline to be the love interest for Klaus (since it parallels with them and Stefan in the '20s). Things that make me go hmmm.
I'm with Ric and Caroline, every time I see or hear about Damon and Elena I was to scream "stop molesting her!" UGH! He is always invading her personal space and it annoys me! The part where Elena said Damon needed to use his charm to distract Rebekah and Ric said "better luck finding a dagger" and you see Caro in the background laughing was the best.
Kinda happy to get a break from Klaus for a few episodes, he's just so one-dimensional during this time period and frankly annoying.
3x06 made me laugh so much even though I'm not sure I was supposed to laugh as much as I did. I mean Ripper Stefan is never not funny (a jerk but a hilarious jerk) but the scene were Ripper Stefan and 1,000 year old Rebekah are sitting in Ric's HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY CLASS just kills me, like what even is this show. Also laughed at Tyler being a "d-bag" baby hybrid, and you knew he was sired as soon as he didn't want to help lock up Stefan. HA!
Um, how did Rebekah get into the Lockwood mansion?
3x07
How did Lexi make Stefan think he’d been bleeding out for years? Is that a vampire power they just never used again or is it a special ghost power? I don’t remember this ever happening again.
Caroline fighting the ghost-vamps in her ballet flats lol the cutest!
3x08
Elena dealt with Ripper Stefan for like an hour and was like "absolutely not, Damon you do it" LMFAO which reminded me of the gifset that made everyone mad.
The Defan convo in 3x08 about Stefan always saving Damon for the bajillionith time even without humanity reminds of the convo in Damon’s head in 8x10 a little. This is a good season for them if I remember correctly, obviously I always enjoy them more when their causes of contention aren’t solely about Elena.
Elena making the Beremy breakup about herself, she really does have a gift. Even Bonnie was like really?
Bonnie ignoring Jeremy and giving him a death glare 1000% BB you deserve better you brought his ass back to life and lost tons of witchy power doing so he deserves to feel like shit!
3x09
Oh this is the first time Tyler and Caroline get into it about not including each other in schemes. This is kind of always a cause of conflict in their relationship but it’s a good cause of conflict because it makes sense. Tyler has a pack mentality (werewolf/hybrid) whereas Caroline is more independently driven (vampire). Like Caro said so much supernatural boyfriend drama.
Elena stabbing Rebekah in the back with the dagger is one of her best moments (even if I RME at her “I care too much” moment after).
3x10
Elena giving Tyler shit for being sired to Klaus (something he has no control over) is pretty funny considering what happens to her next season... insert well-well-well-how-the-turntables.gif.
3x11
Stefan’s spin decapitation of one of Klaus’ hybrids in front of him is so extra, I love it.
The symbolism of Elena “crowning” Caroline is not lost on me. Neither is Klaus forcing his way into Caroline’s house through the doorway.
Yeah the Wickery bridge scene was rough, no one knows how to psychologically torture/traumatize people quite like Stefan does.
Lines that made me laugh:
Bonnie: You think you're bored? My dads family is like wet paint that never dries. (oh I’m saving that one!)
Stefan: You’re into Tyler now, huh? That’s kind of fickle. (He's the worst but the comedic timing is *chef's kiss*)
Stefan: We should all listen to Elena, right? I mean, her plans always work out so well, don't they? (I’m saying! Damon agreed too LMFAO)

the older I get, the more I actually despise damon as a protagonist. obviously he’s funny and charismatic and conventionally attractive—he’s entertaining when I don’t think too much about it. I liked him in the first like 6 episodes he was in when he was just a villain who didn’t care about anything but fucking shit up and the show wasn’t trying to shove a fake redemption arc down our throat. but I’m supposed to care about a man who spent three seasons sexually harassing a teenager dating his little brother until he finally wore her down when said brother sacrificed himself to save his life……. literally the worst attempt at a redemption arc because he never fucking repents and stops being the worst.
and I probably wouldn’t hate damon so much as a protagonist if goofy people didn’t get on god’s internet to act like stefan’s the spawn of satan for being a little snippy when his girlfriend cheated on him with his brother lmfao. if goofy ass people didn’t get on the internet to say stefan abandoned elena when she picked damon but sweet baby angel damon always stuck beside her and stefan 🥹 like DUH he stayed because was harassing her and torturing his brother. what’s not clicking.
stefan didn’t kill her friends and family when she cheated on him, but damon sure did when she rejected him kissing her against her will. stefan didn’t harass her and force himself on her when she dumped him and slept with his brother within a day, but damon forcibly kissed her many a time and guilted her into kissing him on his deathbed. stefan didn’t break into elena’s room while she was sleeping and put sexual dreams of himself into her head, damon did. stefan didn’t walk around half naked and touch her when she was with his brother, damon did.
and when elena had a breakdown over jeremy’s death in s4, stefan begged her to let him help while damon used the sire bond to make her turn her humanity off because he didn’t have the emotional maturity to actually help her deal with grief, but stefan had done it many times before.
not to mention this wasn’t the first time damon did this. the only reason katherine stayed in mystic falls way back when was because she saw stefan and was interested in him. it’s only when he saw her and stefan getting closer that damon decided to pursue her then have the audacity to act hurt that she would choose stefan over him for the next 160 years. damon could not allow his brother a moment of happiness in any relationship (or friendship… shoutout lexi) even before they became vampires.
like how am I supposed to look back at the way that man treated elena and his own flesh and blood and think he was a good partner and brother. I don’t care that he became friends with bonnie—he spent half of season 2 trying to kill her and manipulate her into getting herself killed to save elena. I don’t care that he tried to stop stefan from sacrificing himself during his wedding—he literally ruined that man’s life and caused him to lose everything over and over again.
and I most definitely do not give a fuck that caroline had to tolerate his presence and speak to him pleasantly every once in a while—he literally compelled, raped and abused her when she was 17. in between trying to compel and force himself on elena, of course. but the writers refuse to have him face any consequences and actually GROW, oh no we have to watch stefan be physically and emotionally tortured for 6 seasons despite doing everything he could to repent, not hurt anyone and not relapse. oh ok
