Sooooooooo how’s the AU coming along? I remember that being one of the last things you told me about, but I don’t see much about it in your blog

I havnt had much time to work on it, but I have more details fixed out. It’s still a very simple concept. The Career AU is still a WIP. I filled in careers/jobs for characters that don’t have a confirmed canon career with ones that fit closely with their nature.

Career AU Roles:

Pomni: Accountant

Kinger: Computer Scientist/Developer

Queenie: Entomologist

Zooble: Tattoo Artist

Gangle: Artist/Animator

Ragatha: Nurse

Jax: Minimum wage fast food worker or something.

Bubble: Chef

Caine: CEO/Boss/Director or something of high ranking

And they aren’t human, they still have similar wacky designs similar to canon. And they are still trapped in a VR game. Except the game is basically based of Job Simulator! Caine is similar to the Boss Bot/Tutorial Bot who explains how to do your job… but he’s BAD at it.

And they still have no memory, but they keep finding it odd how well they know how to do their job, making them question if they knew how to do it before hand.

The ongoing problem in this world is that Caine is trying to prevent abstraction, as when someone “abstracts” they need to find someone to fill in that role. Caine is constantly making all the “employees” go on adventures/job conquests that require them to work together.

In short, it’s a AU where the TADC cast enter a Career Simulation. They each have a job that fits them, either because they had that job before or because they would be good at it. None of them know why they have to do these jobs.. They still have adventures, but it seems to be somewhat realistic to actual problems (example: finding out who has been stealing money from the company, helping a particular employee with a task, even though you have no clue how to do their job, etc).

Since I grew up in the late 90s, all I can think about teen Trunks and Goten is through the layer of nostalgia, with them wearing the late 90s and early 2000s clothing in something like a US setting, and Trunks using the latest phone technology at the time since he's a tech nepobaby: the legendary flip phone.

I think for Goten who was originally a mountain boy to be so hooked on things like phones and texting and girlfriends and dates when he grows into his adolescence, is because Trunks was his original influence until it wasn't.

Them using the trendiest slangs of 20 years later is pretty on point tho.

Hi! this is kinda an art request if u dont mind. And it's angst related, can you draw like where wanda and cosmo obvs have seen for a while how (human) timmy has been treated by his real parents. I just want to see like the "last straw" which lead Cosmo and Wanda wanting them to make Timmy as their own. (IM HAPPY THAT TIMMY HAS A FAMILY THAT LOVES AND CARES FOR HIM)

The "Last Straw"?

Cosmo and Wanda have seen humans at their best. They've seen humans at their worst. They've seen anything and everything that they've gone numb and used to what humans get up to.

But nothing's shaken them quite like Timmy's case did. Nothing has ever made a Fairy feel such strong human emotions than what Timmy made them feel, on that one particular night.

The thing that broke Cosmo and Wanda was Timmy himself.

Two months after the outbreak.

Viktor is a lot more capable than Jayce thinks. His calm demeanor and pragmatic thinking got them out of many stressful life threatening situations. He can also handle him self pretty well in physical encounters. Suspiciously well given his leg.

Viktor is infected. Had been for a few weeks. His bad leg got bit but surprisingly he feels fine. Maybe the virus isn’t as bad as they thought.

He’s even getting better but can’t bring himself to tell Jayce. Not after what happened

Jayce isn’t taking the whole apocalypse thing well. He misses his old life. Family, friends, work, everything. He’s trying not to show it but some days are worse than others.

The only thing that keeps him going is Viktor. The memory of the good times. He is constantly worried about Viktor, tries his best to take care of him. He can sometimes get a little overbearing.

Jayce clings to the idea of them being able to stop all of this and get his life back. They need to get to the checkpoint. They have to.

Okay I have a new obsession.

I want to write a fanfic so bad but my academic career would go up in flames sooo

But maybe one day I’ll break and just say fuck it xd

No, I don't think they hated him. Actively hating your child is an extreme and uncommon emotion. And the sample size I've offered is also really tiny, I think I've only drawn Machete's mother twice this far. She doesn't look quite that peeved most of the time.

I'm more inclined to believe that they were just normal people being pushed into a corner by the immense stress and acute hardship in their lives. Machete's mother might not have been the most warm, peppy and affectionate person to begin with, but that wouldn't have prevented her from being a perfectly capable parent if the circumstances had been different. She did her best to take care of him, even if she was exhausted, frustrated, and tired of putting up a brave face. I suspect her husband wasn't as supportive and present as he could've been, childcare was something she had to deal with on her own.

AU where instead of becoming the red hood and taking over gotham’s criminal underground at 18-19, jason todd decides to go back to school and graduate from college, and just generally live the life his parents (read: catherine and willis todd) would have wanted him to have that they unfortunately couldn't have given him due to their circumstances.

and what does jason get his college degree in, might you ask? he graduates with full honours as a political science major, minoring in english with plans to work in public policy.

and y'know, after graduating and working for a couple of years, things seem to be actually looking up for jason. he has good friends, a stable income with a job that he actually enjoys, he owns a home, his romantic life is pretty decent, and he's actually healing from the trauma of his death. there’s nothing that could possibly go wrong in his life, right? not when it’s been the best it’s ever been in years, right?

well, that’s where you’re wrong because when he comes home from his 9-5 shift, jason finds the batman himself brooding in the dark while sitting criss cross applesauce on his very new leather sofa.

and just when jason thought he was having a good week.

(this idea was kinda inspired by this post that i made a while back, where jason goes back to school, and now i’m having too many ‘what would jason have become if he didn’t become the red hood?’ thoughts running through my brain because of it, lmao.)
