ah wait, I finished Unicorn Overlord, I should update my icon to a UO character
#but hmm...to whom...#actually finding sprites has been a special sort of impossible since the sprite sheets are apparently very complicated#makes sense given some of the game features but hmmm I like some of the in-game sprites more than the official arts#maybe I should wait till we get nicer scans of the artbook special illustrations#or an ost illustration#one of my Octopath icons was from the Octopath ost and that was Very Nice Art to crop down#then again I've made icons from less-than-perfect screenshots so really nothing's stopping me from getting at sprite art#indirectly and chaotically but still#hmm hmm will have to contemplate this#I Love my chaotic silly Ace Cait Sith icon don't get me wrong but I do like to change things up every few months#oracle of lore

The problem is that Cait is too short to be able to see over the dash, use the pedals and use the wheel at the same time.
i've been thinking about this game a bit lately. just a bit

ive also been here since ye olde radiation au days and also was in. i believe it was yours? server for fer.al back when that was a thing . you were the one that told me that cait sith from buddyfight had A History with the brazilian furry community which i still think abt all the time. brazilian furry icon cait sith from future card buddyfight
MY GOD I REMEMBER THAT, ok, after the events of the fer.al server a new development came through and you will not Believe What happened but basically the admin of that server was a trans chaser groomer and the only reason why I got invited there was because I id'd as a trans man at the time and he was hellbent in getting to me, even tried to steal my IP, I don't know what happened but I think he fought really bad with the admin of that server and ended up getting kicked, it rebranded to some panda-themed thing for a bit THEN hackers took over and it became a doxxing services pit, WILD stuff

out of curiosity can you compare ff7 and ff7rebirth Aerith's death scene?
the only way to talk about the two iconic scenes is to talk about the build-up leading up to it.
let's start with the original,
Cloud under Sephiroth's influence gives him the black materia where his child self is running back and forth as his self is giving the materia to Sephiroth.
he couldn’t break out of Sephiroth's control and after Cait Sith appears he passes out, aerith appears in the forest and tells Cloud she will take care of things on her own and runs off to the lost city of the ancient while we all watch her leave then sephiroth appears and outright tells could that he intends to take care of Aerith you feel dread when sephiroth tells cloud that he is going after her.
now that you learn that Sephiroth is going after Aerith it feels dire, cloud is feeling inner turmoil and self-doubt at how Sephiroth compelled him to give up the black materia he isn’t sure if he wants to pursue Aerith because if Sephiroth doesn’t kill Aerith cloud might sephiroth could do this to cloud he has done this before with giving cloud the black materia tifa and barret talk him out of it the uncertainty still lingers in cloud however we hold optimism because cait sith is back and that we can prevent it but that all changes in the lost temple.
when we finally go to the lost temple we see Aerith praying in an altar as Cloud approaches Aerith sephiroth takes control of Cloud again he raises his sword to Aerith's head, and then his friends call out to him and break him out of it.
what makes this scene tragic is that he breaks Sephiroth's influence only to have Sephiroth swoop down to finish the job.

sephiroth swoops down from the ceiling and impales her with his sword and you watch it all happen everything goes still your mind is still reeling from this scene in front of you followed by Sephiroth's cruel smirk at Cloud
he takes the sword out of her then music plays.
we and Cloud are both in shock at what happened
cloud catches her as Cloud shakes her awake Cloud is in denial at what he saw he breaks down right here you even see the text express his emotions you can feel it from Cloud this scene is absolutely soul-crushing we are feeling her death and it's really setting in.

When Cloud expresses his sorrow and rage sephiroth dismisses it because he views Cloud as a puppet who doesn’t have feelings of his own he sees cloud as a lesser version of himself he can manipulate to serve his purposes and only has free will and agency so long as he allows it this is what sephiroth contemptible not only he kills an innocent flower girl but also but he also denies cloud of having an identity this is no end to sephiroth's cruelty.
For rebirth, The buildup to her death plays out differently.
you wake up and spend the day with Aerith, you spend time with Aerith but you feel uneasy. then arrive at the church
When Cloud mentions next time and Aerith stifles
Aerith speaks cryptic words to Cloud it feels foreboding like it was the last time you are going to spend time with her. aerith hugs Cloud followed by this
this is heartbreak because you knew what happened before then she gives cloud the materia
the whole time it is Aerith giving her last goodbye to Cloud before she pushes us into the flower bed
the door opens revealing Sephiroth
cloud reaches out his hand but couldn’t stop her
the dread comes that Sephiroth is going to come after her and you half to save her
you are sent to the lost forest again fighting whispers then you meet Aerith again you feel brief relief and try to warn her but Aerith worries about Cloud’s well-being
the scene plays out like in the original He gives her materia and Aerith leaves.
cloud chases after her but is stopped by whispers preventing him from reaching aerith you are given the option to crawl to her but you still can’t reach her.
if you play the original game you know what's going to happen but cannot stop it that's how you feel right here
back at the temple of the ancients, Aerith is praying like in the original game, and much like the game cloud approaches Aerith sephiroth takes control of Cloud again he raises his sword to Aerith's head as he is going to strike down
Sephiroth swooped down on her
cloud clashes his sword before it reaches her head and repels his sword
you get a brief relief of stopping Aerith from getting killed however just when it feels like you prevented it.
Sephiroth draws out his sword.
Aerith is struck down.
if you didn’t play the original game Aerith is killed you know this and still to prevent it but you are still powerless to save her. this is what this game does it gives us the option to save her and gives us a faint hope that her death can be prevented, only to have this cruelly snatched up you were so close but you still can’t save her. you experience the same feeling as Cloud does at the moment.
Cloud turns around and catches her and holds her body close he breaks down as he holds her body in his arms.
Cloud is a broken mess with tears streaming down his face this matches the original text from the original then Sephiroth laughs cruelly behind
to mock Cloud's feelings which makes Sephiroth contemptible not only does he kill Aerith but he laughs at Cloud's feelings.
One important thing no, aerith isn’t alive further proof is when Tifa sees cloud holding aeriths lifeless body.
Cloud is denying Aeriths death this is seen before in the text in the original and this is what happened in this scene this is actually quite common for someone who experienced the death of a loved one to deny their death at first, this is what Cloud is feeling at that scene
you see everyone's reactions to her death both anger and grief

the remake didn’t change the themes of her death it had the themes intact the themes didn’t change in fact heightened them
both of these scenes are soul-crushing and devastating in different ways

i saw that you also said you love to talk about other characters, not just sephiroth, so i thought i'd ask: what are your favorite things/traits/moments etc of all of the playable characters we've had across the compilation of 7? i feel like i can talk about all the characters forever :)
Ooh yeah! This will be fun. Okay!
Cloud: Cloud is the most relatable character to me, and probably my favorite if we're being honest. I relate strongly to his identity issues, and I love when he tries to act tough while concealing a softer nature. My personal favorite scene with him is the flashback where he realizes that he was stronger than Sephiroth this whole time, throwing Sephiroth down the pit. It's a powerful moment, probably Cloud's single greatest moment in the entire series.
Tifa: Tifa is literal perfection. She looks like a tough tomboy and yet she's also one of the kindest people ever. She's maternal, loyal, supportive, and devoted to a fault. The team would be lost without her. She's the glue that holds everyone together. An absolute queen. My favorite moment with her is Under the Highwind, regardless of her relationship with Cloud being romantic or platonic.
Barret: Barret's got a heart of gold. He's always part of my main party when playing the OG. A great comrade and an even GREATER father. His relationship with Marlene is beautiful and so warm and wholesome. Barret also spits some iconic quotes over the course of the game, as well as some hard truths. My favorite scene with him, naturally, is his encounter with Dyne. The line "my hands are too stained to carry her anymore" gets me to cry no matter how many times I play.
Aerith: Aerith is the biggest hero of FFVII next to Cloud. She's the one who ultimately saves the day, and all through her sacrifice. I'm not even gonna talk about my favorite moment with her because...you guys already know the scene. It's the single most famous scene in gaming history. Aerith has a playful, occasionally chaotic edge to her personality that she hides behind a sweet smile. I absolutely adore that about her. She's so full of love and so full of selflessness, but she also loves to tease people. Also an absolute queen.
Red XIII: Nanaki is a cat btw. I have always seen him as a cat. That's my controversial opinion on him lmao. Also him howling for Seto makes me ugly cry every single time without fail. I appreciate that Nanaki seems occasionally stoic and serious, but then has kind of a childlike or immature fear or insecurity about something. There's that duality to him that ties to the other characters in a sense. Anyway, I love him. He is a very good boy.
Cid: Cid took a while to grow on me initially. He's pretty rough around the edges. But my favorite moment with him happens in the last third where he sorta becomes the de facto leader of the group with Cloud gone. And I like that he seems to have reconciled with Shera as well. Honestly, he's just kind of a badass and really cool at what he does. Also he gets to go to space. Good for him tbh.
Cait Sith: This one is hard because there's always a debate as to how much of a character Cait Sith actually IS. It's Reed puppeting a machine/doll basically. How much of Cait Sith has a mind of his own? Regardless, Cait Sith isn't my fave. He's a spy, after all. But he makes up for it in the end, even if he kinda fades into the background. Reed is honestly more of an interesting character overall. I can't name any specific favorite moments with Cait Sith specifically. But also he's a small Scottish cat. And that's rad.
Vincent: This edgy boi. Also not one of my faves, but he's grown a lot more on me over time. He wins for always having the coolest voice in the entire group. And I really like the scene where he reunites with Lucrecia. Vincent is kind of gruff and understated at times compared to the rest of the cast. But he has a gentle side as well, and one hell of a cool backstory. Also I love monsters and gothic imagery in general.
Yuffie: Yuffie is...my least favorite main character. I don't hate her. I've just never been a fan of the "spunky loudmouth child" trope. With that said, I'm sure the Remake trilogy will breathe new life into her and add some extra appeal for me. I like what I've seen so far. And Yuffie's bluntness and playfulness can be cute from time to time.
Zack: Counting him because of Crisis Core. He's probably my third favorite character. His death is the saddest scene in the entire compilation imo. He's a character who is wholly encompassed by love, who deals with a LOT of pain, and who proves to be better and worthier than most people put together. Like Aerith, he sacrifices everything. And also like Aerith, his legacy will live on forever.

So I finally finished watching a Let's Play of FFVII Rebirth, shockingly without The Algorithm recommending me anything that spoils the ending, and in the spirit of that I'm putting my thoughts on the ending below a cut.
So going into it my thought was that Aerith's death is such an iconic moment in video game history and so integral to the plot it'd be insane to have her survive just for the sake of fan wish fulfillment. But it begs the question of what the point was of introducing the idea of defying fate and changing the story if you can't change the one thing everyone spent decades trying to avoid or undo. I think early on my thought was that the best course of action that would respect the integrity of the original story would be to have Aerith still die, but then change the ending of the final game so she comes back after it's all over. That way you still get your dark middle chapter/second act setback, and you don't undermine the original story, but you're still actually doing something with the concept of defying fate and pleasing the fans who always wanted to save Aerith. In a way it's even better to have Aerith come back in the end because it fits with the elements of Christian mythology present in the story. If Aerith is the Jesus to Sephiroth's anti-Christ and Jenova's Devil, then why shouldn't the one thing that changes about this story be her getting resurrected in the end?
The way things played out in Rebirth, I still think this is likely the case. Being the dark middle chapter, of course it had to start us off thinking that because Team Avalanche scored that victory against the Whispers in the first act, things could turn out different. But the point of the second act is to take you down from the high note the first act left us on, which it does by showing us that maybe you can't fight fate after all. First we found out the Whispers were still around. Then we found out definitively that Wedge was killed after seemingly escaping his original fate. You get Cid and the Tiny Bronco under totally different circumstances, yet the plane still crashes and becomes a boat. Cait Sith leaves the party after betraying the group rather than blackmailing his way into staying with them, but he still ends up sacrificing himself at the Temple of the Ancients anyway. Near the end in the Zack timeline, it seems like there's a split where he either chooses to get medicine for Cloud over saving Biggs, or goes to save Biggs, only for Biggs to still die anyway in both timelines. If you were asking what the point was of saying you could defy fate in the first game if the second game was just going to say you can't after all, it was to get your hopes up on purpose so that when Aerith ultimately ends up dying again, it feels just as fresh and shocking as it did the first time around rather than something players are simply resigned to as an inevitability.
As for the ambiguity about the situation, I've seen some people suggest that the Aerith we see at the end is Jenova in disguise, a figment of Cloud's imagination, a ghost that only he can see, or a version of her from another timeline where she didn't die. I haven't heard anything quite like the theory I'm starting to formulate though.
So my hot take is that whatever's going on with Sephiroth is also going on with Aerith. We know Sephiroth already fell into the lifestream once, with Jenova's head, and that his whole plan was to get in there again so he could become a god, but when Aerith died she ended up there and used her magic to stop meteor. We know that Sephiroth did still worm his way in there though, because it was his tainting of the lifestream that caused the geostigma in Advent Children, which Aerith purified after he was defeated again.
So I think to some extent Sephiroth and Aerith both ascended to a kind of godhood by becoming one with the lifestream, and it's because of this that they were able to transcend the barriers between worlds and see through time. That's why they both had foreknowledge of future events. In Rebirth, we learn that Sephiroth exists as the same being simultaneously across different worlds via the final boss battle. In other words, he is omniscient and omnipresent. I believe Aerith was as well in the beginning of Remake, but by the end, she was separated from the rest of the omniscient Aerith collective, and lost her foreknowledge of the future and awareness of alternate timelines. Near the end of Rebirth however, she starts to reconnect with her other selves from developing her Cetra powers and Sephiroth creating tears in the fabric of reality. Regaining her foreknowledge of future events allowed her to accept the inevitability of her death and try to ease Cloud's guilt over it, and at the moment she was meant to die, she became fully absorbed back into her omnipresent self. Maybe there's still a version of her who did survive after all, who's separated from the others since her death was what led to her entering the lifestream and ascending to godhood. But that's not the Aerith who fights with Cloud and sees him off at the end. Whenever we see Aerith after her death, that's the omnipresent goddess Aerith. The reason only Cloud can see her is because Aerith touched his face as she lay dying, passing on some of her omniscient awareness to him, just as she did with Marlene.
The reason why in the original FFVII Aerith stayed dead was because Sephiroth wasn't fully defeated yet. But now that his omnipresent self has gone back in time to try to change his fate she has an opportunity to wipe him out of existence from every reality. Only when he's completely eradicated will her business with him finally be done, and she can be free to return from the lifestream.

final fantasy: rebirth {a mess of emotions, not in chronological order}
this is more story-based, so heads-up spoilers below.
“question. does that make me a dumbass?”
not aerith asking about reno
chadley nearly outing cissnei and cloud getting real confrontational about it.
cloud is so much more conversational in this, i felt in remake he was bordering on joker level’s of player-character. he’s a lot more laidback, which is understandable since he didn’t really know anyone but tifa and midgar’s only like what a week long?
the game now feels like an ensemble piece rather an a cloud simulator.
cloud not realising he’s the one loner friend
americans aren’t the best swearers - put to much emphasis on the swear itself but cloud does it so well.
he’s a prickly, backchatting bitch in this game and i love every single second of it. he’s not mopey, stubborn and grumpy. he’s ‘i’m going to actively make myself your problem if you cross me, so don’t.
barret immitating yuffie?! or, “oh, wow. tell us more.” it’s giving abridged.
yuffie’s little naruto run!
yuffie and cloud’s growing sibling dynamic is the cutest shit. like, he should be be pissed at her but immediately protected her from the captain.
all i hear is priscilla’s dad’s irish accent from abridged when ever someone says her name or, “mr dolphin, ye daft bastard.”
rufus shinra… the man that you are.
every rude and elena scene, just, yes. her with the ice-lolly, the corneo fight, rude’s pub club?! babysitting palmer. (also, they call it the clean-shaven club when rude literally has a beard).
i genuinely thought we were gonna at least get that iconic reno and rude scene outside of gongaga (and as a long-shot a reunion with cissnei - i stand by the fact tseng absolutely knows where she is.)
that final turks training facility was a bitch to find.
don’t get me wrong, yuffie, barret, tifa and red’s trials were sad but aerith’s absolutely wrecked me. like i’ve got a stuffy nose already and i literally couldn’t breathe with the tears.
same with dyne and barret, like what you mean you want me to fight palmer?! i’m sitting here ugly crying about two men who love their daughter and have been through hell and back.
i’d love to see cissnei and leslie get involved with the wutai turk team-up
as much as i love aerti’s ‘improved over og’ friendship. it’s not passing the bechdel test anytime soon.
fuck queen’s blood.
cloud saying “down boy” sir- THE WHIMPERING!
the kids locking yuffie in with the hooded men on the cruise.
nanaki walking in the cabin on two legs fucking kills me. i also caught barret admiring himself in the mirror.
the fact the name tag is, “???” when we can hear yuffie cheering on cloti.
did they kiss?!
so, we finally see loveless and it was everything i ever wanted. genesis, i’m sorry, you were right.
“death doesn’t suit a turk”
cloud jr is too cute and i love my chocobro protagonists
speaking of, i’m in two heads about ffxv. you can see a lot of the inspiration the team got from that game but i think they left out the one thing that made ffxv perfect, which was the constant chatter during traversal
cloud turning on tifa during the gongaga reactor mission is giving the ffxv: omen trailer
i need a tonberry robot for my desk
jessie’s poster! i really thought she’d be alive with biggs
cloud calling gus a prick is when it clicked for me, like cloud’s got bite
i need esther’s red boots
cid is played by j. michael tatum?! sebastian- france- kyouya-
elena stuck in the heat yelling at rude, omg this is the turk moments i love.
as someone who is scottish, i can’t believe i witnessed cait sith tell cissnei to “wheesht”.
not the biggest fan of cissnei’s new colour scheme. would’ve gone with browns, accented gold buckles and mustard yellow personally
wished they’d’ve put in an turk easter egg in her house.
cosmo canyon’s lantern scene is so pretty.
gold-fucking-saucer. woah
sitting at the water tower with aerith felt wrong, and i know that was intentional.
omfg vincent, why he kinda dressed like gyuvin in en garde?
jesus, roche.
still not keen on seph’s voice - mainly because i don’t like tyler and also zack is better but i’m still not keen
symbiote!peter to “OMG GUYSSS HAIIII” is like fucking whiplash. two minutes ago we were crying over harry, now hotels?!
i knew that’s what marlene saw! and now zack knows! i am not okay!
was low-key waiting on elena throwing the keystone to reno to catch for a grand intro but he kinda just appears, and i loved every second of it.
the way both tifa and aerith have had to stop cloud murdering a turk.
cloud with blood by his own hand on his face is such a chilling image. it’s like seeing someone like superman with it.
avalanche versus reno and rude’s fight was giving advent children, like specifically reno and rude’s fight with loz and kazoo. (which i rewatched recently. rude’s face when reno steps on his glasses is the funniest thing in that film, also i can’t unhear fred from scooby-doo when loz speaks even though i know it’s not frank welker - it’s the dude that plays corneo).

C.C's thoughts on the FFVII Rebirth/Apex collab...
I used to play Apex a lot, but not so much anymore. This collab mindfucked me for a good hour or so when I first saw the trailer for it.
To explain to my non-Apex familiar followers: the legendary/iconic skins for the Apex collab are Crypto (Cloud/Zack), Horizon (Aerith) Wraith (Vincent/Tifa), Wattson, Newcastle, and Valkyrie.
I have a strong feeling that Valkyrie will likely get a Sephiroth/Young Sephiroth skin. Her hair and wing motif are huge points in that favor. And it would be really weird for Sephiroth to not get anything in a major video game collaboration. Though, personality-wise, Cid would be a better fit for her. Newcastle would also probably be Barret. As for Wattson, I'm thinking Yuffie because of the energetic and happy personalities but I wouldn't be surprised if they threw a curve ball and made her a Chocobo costume or Cait Sith...
The Aerith/Horizon skin is...bleh... I honestly think Loba and Lifeline would've been much better choices to represent Aerith. But Horizon is undoubtedly the more popular of the three. The most fitting collab for FF7 would've been Overwatch in my supremely biased opinion.
For my ideas of OW/FF7 collab skins, I think the following characters would work very well:
Aerith - Mercy
Sephiroth - Lifeweaver or Sigma
Vincent - Reaper.
Soldier 76 - Shinra Grunt
Tifa - Either Brigitte or Junker Queen
Cloud/Zack - Genji
Yuffie - 100 percent Kiriko (though I can kinda see Sombra working out for this too)
Cait Sith - Wrecking Ball or D.Va (Might be a bit similar to her black cat skin)
JENOVA - Widowmaker
And probably much more options... The character designs from FF7 would transfer over to Overwatch much more smoothly than Apex. And I would pay so fucking much for an Aerith/Mercy skin, honestly.
I'm really curious about how much EA paid for this exclusive collab. Apex is incredibly popular in Japan, which I believe played a major role in making this collab happen. My theory is that EA invested a significant amount of money for this, not only to capitalize on the hype surrounding Rebirth, but also to prevent its main competitor, Fortnite, from getting hold of the IP. In my opinion, even Fortnite would have been a better fit for a FF7 crossover than Apex. The character designs in Apex lack so much versatility, and the overall mood and settings of both franchises are so different that it feels quite jarring to see an official crossover between them. Additionally, some of the choices for the character skins bother me, like forcing elements of Tifa onto Wraith, who would've worked better as a Yuffie skin consider that she's literally a ninja too. It all just one big cash grab. These skins will be expensive, and they probably wouldn't be worth the price. I want to be hopeful, but I'm not.

I've binged this beautiful mess for several days and, by god, does it deliver! !!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Let me try going chronologically:
Zack!Cloud is absolutely adorable and shows very good acting because you can hear the difference from Zack's dialogue from Cloud's reaction when learning it's Nibelheim where they are heading to.
Definitely see those SephirothxZack fics going on rise after unsettlingly sweet expressions on Sephiroth during Nibelheim. Also those subtle changes on his face in that iconic town in flames scene, just wow.
Rufus's parade was one of the highlights, but some new guy Glenn shenaningans were there like "hello, if you'd like to know more about this subplot please consider buying some spinoff mobile game you've never heard of", because even in the end all I got from this was - Glenn is a) some dude in Wutai working for a man we never saw and who might not even exist, b) has some bitter history with Rufus and c) also is a Sephiroth clone.
Speaking of Rufus, eng voice actor is on point. He is the english equivalent of japanese voice actor who unfortunately seems to have been affected by illness. I'm very sad about that. But good job, eng va and his casting director!
While I'm on this topic, Reno's orignal va loss also saddens me. New jp va is a bit too nasal for me, and there's no Quinton Flynn to soften the blow.
Morikawa Toshiyuki is perfect as always in his rendition of Sephiroth. His gentle speech to Jenova in Nibelheim reactor is just... You just have to hear it.
youtube
Ahem. So, Rufus' offer in Junon really surprised me.
Moving on to Costa Del Sol, was nice to see the reason why Hojo appeared there of all places and, oh dear, they made him so creepy it's astounding. The way he so offhandedly and casually offered those girls to "birth a hero" is something else.
I'll skip Corel immediately to Golden Saucer. It's everything I wanted. It's everything I didn't know I wanted. The entrance introduction is Honey Bee all over again but even more cringe. There are no words for this level of cringe. I felt vindicated for the loss of that Honey Bee's bathtub scene in the Remake, that's how cringe it is. I'm sorry, I can't stop staring at Dio's chest.
Now, Cait Sith deserves its own paragraph. It's the best, the cutest, the coolest Cait Sith ever. This "Aeris-ha~n", awww. Animation and design is top-notch, from Cait's small dance to the ears to the moogle's belly jiggle. Reeve has to be some kind of animatronics genius. Also in eng version it has scottish accent. Know why? Because of this
Also, Ghost Hotel's front desk employee is hilarious. He seems to genuinely love his job, goddamn it.
youtube
Poor Rude having to work with Elena, lol. Nice sea-salt ice cream, by the way.
Some sidequests are my type of morbid humour. Check out this:
youtube
New Gi lore was interesting. Finally I learned how Black Materia was made. Also made interesting possible insight into Sephiroth, with being unable to join lifestream and all.
Vincent va is so good and in jp version I sometimes can hear Rufus's va past timbre. Also, that drip is sick.
Loveless scene was astounding. I'm talking about animation quality here. Dance moves look so smooth and natural, especially cloth mechanics, just look at Jessie's skirt! I have no idea how many hours they put into these.
New Nibelheim also makes more sense than in original. No more "wdym, nothing happened here". Also, Cloud remembered Zack but his mind makes up some things.
It's nice to see Cloud's gradual descent into madness, especially with Roche becoming that. (Why SC tattoo though. I know it's probably Sephiroth Cells, but I just can't unsee SephirothxCloud, lmao). Cloud chasing Aerith for black materia sent chills down my spine.
As did Sephiroth's hysterical laugh when his sword broke but Aerith still died. Yeah, sorry, dude. This is fixed.
Those AU scenes and some unchanging points are interesting to explore for fics though.

also thinking of changing my icon image (again, sorry not sorry)
#polls should give me an option other than 1 Day or 1 Week#1 Day is too short and 1 Week is too long for this specific poll#also I've seen polls that would benefit from having an infinite timespan#anyhow I'm feeling indecisive hence my rare creation of a poll#also I am trying out making a LoZ trivia quiz and wanna work on than instead of trying to choose a new icon character#oracle of lore

The "Dashio Presence", honestly one of the more complex sprites I made back in 2021. You might recognize some of the figures this eldritch beast is made out of. Well, there's actually a story about that. There is/was this mobile game called Archio that was this mobile roguelike thing. I didn't play it for too long, but all I remember was that it was VERY hard. Well, there was also this bootleg ripoff of Archio called "Dashio" that was an obvious ripoff with identical gameplay and graphics and everything. Not only that, but Dashio also blatantly stole designs for many of its playable characters including Mona from Genshin Impact, Sheik from Zelda, Ike from Fire Emblem, and strangely enough the daemon Cait Sithe from Shin Megami Tensei. So I fused all those characters together to create this abomination, whose silhouette and general design concept is based off the final boss of Persona 2 Innocent Sin, Great Father. This boss was planned for a scrapped bonus route for Meteo Chronicles, most likely the demon route, but I have no idea where it would be placed in the game or what it's moves would be, most like a combination of each of the combined character's most iconic moves. (Grand Aether for Ike, Ripple of Fate, for Mona, Sheikah Dance for Sheik, Gram Slice for Cait Sithe)

muse list with short bio (WIP)
Many of these muses are new to me but some are muses I've written before. This blog is low activity as I work part time + am studying for my certification in medical coding. Also as a fun fact, I play piano and Violin!
You can find me primarily on @busterswrd which is my Cloud. If I reference Cloud at all, I am usually referencing my own Cloud and headcanons/thoughts based upon my own writing to make it easier!
affiliated with @lxckheart who is my main Tifa.
rules under cut
This blog is mutuals only and low activity as specified above. However, I am open to writing and being friends with everyone! so feel free to follow! I just want to make friends and write in a low stress environment so my activity is sporadic.
I do practice mains/exclusives but don't let that dissuade you. I want to write with everyone and currently have no exclusives and it takes a lot for me to make an exclusive so exclusivity is rare unless it's a "ship exclusive" meaning I will only ship with that portrayal of a muse.
OC and duplicate fiendly. multiship and multiverse. I want to give everyone a chance! if you rp a muse on my muse list I tag interactions with the muse involved so you can block it. however, I love interacting with fellow duplicates and we can have fun shenanigans so don't shy away! if you're comfy with it, bring it on. lets have 2 Zacks interact. I love that shit!
icons used are not mine. many of my icons are from dresspheres. rufus shinra icons with the border are from ennakros on ko-fi. remaining icons are from lyrieuxsicons with some of the zack fair icons from eternalworksarchive
send me all the memes, tag me in a starter, scream in my dms. I may not always respond right away, but I want to write with you
No stress, no fuss, only fun. This is a place of safety and positivity. Approach me if you need to. I want to create a place of positivity and welcoming here. If I make any mistakes or you have any issues, my dms are open to you.
reblog memes from the source.
Also regarding the Aeris/Aerith, I will match which ever version of the name my partner uses, but I usually default to Aeris on my part.
