they say you were born from the ash left behind of a damning fire, the kind that took until it no longer could. who are you to deny the compliments of such a reputation? in this case, chicago is the aforementioned ashes -- and richard and emilia malone are the one's who lit the fuse. you were never planned, and it showed in the way you were raised in comparison to your sisters ( they used to say you had it easy, exempt from their expectations of perfection -- but what is so easy about carrying the knowledge that you are loveless? ). food always somehow managed to appear on the table but considering the piles of unpaid bills collecting dust on the counter -- you weren't quite sure how. you will be our ticket out. out of all this. that was what your mother used to say to your sisters -- but noticeably, never to you. you were on the precipice of your pre-teen years when you came to terms with this and from then on, you tried. you achieved the same grades as your sisters, but the applause never came. you became hardened far earlier than you ever should have and while you've given up on the dream of familial acceptance by the time you turn fifteen -- this hasn't stopped you from giving up on yourself. it both astounds you and doesn't all at once when your parents never become aware that you've begun working, never asking where you go when the final bell rings. by the time you turn eighteen, you've saved just enough to break away from your household and leave them in your dust. you are not their problem anymore, even if you were never a problem in the first place. the question remains however, what will you do? perhaps your parents had something right when they invested all of their time in your sisters — at least they had some sense of direction. at first dancing was simply an easy way to pay the bills while you figured everything out, but the sense of power was intoxicating. even now, years after your retirement, you wish you could bottle the feeling. every set of eyes in the room on you -- no one else mattered. and yet, you find yourself doing the one thing you never expected to do: fall in love. hopelessly so. henric always told you that he was dangerous, but you were always strong enough to handle it. you find out quickly that he's a foot soldier for one of the strongest criminal organizations of new york city's underbelly: the brotherhood. you found nothing but beauty in the devils face and while henric tried to shield you from it all as a form of undying love, you just couldn't understand it. it had taken time for him to understand that you were in this, just as invested as he was. you would do anything to be loved, wouldn't you? in time, you prove yourself useful. you move through the nearly endless crowds of new york city with a sense of feline grace -- accompanied by an entrancing serpent's smile. you and henric even get married in secret -- fearing that your union was known, the other would be exploited as a weakness. and yet, henric's end comes at the hands of an automobile accident. while it was reported that no foul play was involved, your vengeance has continued to boil in your chest, threatening to be set aflame. your hardened shell never ceases to protect you. it makes you merciless, without a beating heart. perhaps this is what makes you perfect for a position of brotherhood leadership, your loyalty to the brotherhood being one of the few things left that you feel anymore. you've overseen the west manhattan territory coming up on six years, known for always having a pair of eyes on the ground. the devil will always force you to atone for your sins. what had once been so unknown to you? oh darling, you've become the devil now. you've killed the entity now, taking its crown with bloodstained hands.

𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒.

has a very luxe and classic sense of style. and, of course, the look comes with quite expensive taste.

lives in a manhattan apartment with a rather modern, sleek interior. at times, some may wonder if anyone even lives within it or if it's merely an apartment being prepared to be shown.

quick with a weapon, equally quick with her words. occasionally will mouth off to authority -- but she will show some restraint only towards the leadership of the brotherhood. even then, she occasionally will appear dry and sarcastic. shit gets done though, doesn't it?

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 — while cecilia may be brotherhood through and through, she still naturally keeps her cards close to her chest. despite her independence, this person has somehow managed to earn her undying trust. if she was ever going to listen to anyone despite her distinct distrust for any kind of authority, it's this person ( OPEN - must be aligned with the brotherhood ). 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐑 — an emotional rollercoaster if there ever was one. cecilia is a maverick, untethered and unchained, never to grace the same bed twice. and yet, she can't seem to stay away from this person. rather similar to her, this person remains detached, but they too can't quite understand what keeps them coming back to her ( OPEN - any allegiance ). 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 — while these two certainly didn't see it while they were growing up, cecilia grew up as the black sheep in the family. the burden, the problem child. it is unclear how they ended up in new york city but they have both done well for themselves. neither of them are currently gang affiliated and cecilia wants things to stay that way, but it's no secret that the city has plenty of devils to stand atop the elder malone's shoulders... ( OPEN 0/2 - not aligned, but can be discussed ) 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑 — one of the dancers at gentille fille that she's especially protective over. perhaps it's because she sees a little of herself in them when she first arrived in new york or maybe, it's something else. even still, she finds herself keeping an extra close eye on them when they're on the floor ( CLOSED - elizabeth beaufort )

i finally drew some designs for devimega!kuroba!! they're a god posing as a human saint so they can bother karamatsu hehe.

kuroba was originally a mere plant spirit that looked over the chruch's garden, making sure it stayed vibrant and brimming with life. the garden had a frequent visitor and admirer, a young priest named karamatsu who was raised there. he would sing the praises of the garden's beautiful flowers, calling it a " little peice of heaven " and often escaping to it to avoid his duties. kuroba greatly appreciated his compliments and company, even if he wasn't aware of their presence. eventually, his praises reached the ears of the church's visitors and the garden became something that drew people there.

thanks to all of karamatsu's and the garden's visitors' praise over time, kuroba was able to ascend to godhood. of course, the first thing they did upon being giving immense power was assume a human disguise in the hopes of meeting the priest that they had grown fond of and getting closer. they were quickly taken in by the church after being found in the garden, but soon after joined the clergy after purifying the soil of a farmer's plot that hadn't yielded crops that year. now thought of as a saint, they're enjoying their days at the chruch alongside karamatsu. they're definitely closer, mostly out of necessity since he seems to attract evil spirits like a moth to a flame.

as a god, they have the ability to spontaneously grow different types of plants, purify soil, and revive recently deceased plants. they can also heal injuries, but really only minor ones as they're essentially applying their abilities to purify soil and restore dead plants to the wound. also, since their godhood was achieved mostly due to one person, their powers aren't exactly the most stable. usually, this manifests in their disguise slipping slightly when they've used a lot of power or if they're tired, ( like with their ears returning to their original appearance. )

ortega ended up hallucinating sidestep after they "died", but sidestep doesnt know about that. they know it got bad, but never the full extent of how their death affected them. so if your sidestep Did learn, if they found out ortega looked for them in every little piece they could, would that change anything for your sidesteps? would their relationship with ortega be any different?

New Saw cosplay just dropped, Brit Stevenson from Saw V! I wanna do a proper shoot for her at a later date (this wig definitely needs some tlc as well, the bangs didn't want to cooperate lmao) but for now enjoy the photos of got of the test I did last night!
