I have been crowdfunding for two full months now, and have managed to raise $4100 total! That is absolutely amazing, and never could have happened without the support of everyone on Tumblr. Thank you so much to everyone continuing to share my post, and an especially big thank you to those who donated. I have just under $3,000 in direct debt currently, and I have until December 1 to find a new place to live, regardless of if I have been placed by BC Housing into housing whose rent is geared to my disability income. Vancouver rents are about $2,000/month for 1 bedroom, I don't have a prayer of keeping a roof over my head without donations.

So that's where I am now, to be clear, the money not spent directly on debt was spent on food, monthly bills, and transit. Even so, I ended up needing to take out payday loans to get through this month, and am out of funds for now.

I have more appointments and transit costs than ever right now, and with time running out to clear my debts before I'm on my own I'm really feeling the strain. There is much more information on the gofundme page, I also, of course, have my original post, which I am retiring because it seems to have lost traction now.

I'd appreciate anything anyone has to offer, from $1-$5 on paypal, to $5+ on gofundme, literally ANYTHING helps. I feel abandoned and alone and I don't know what to do other than beg the public for help. Please.

found this article that interviewed the guy who wrote the hulu c22 miniseries adaptation and shaking my head... you dont get it... you do not get it... apparently he read it in english class--what grade did you get on that final essay?

like here. going from taking the premise of the nonlinear narrative--which is very intentional on Heller's part! Heller of course is showing the absurdity but also the mental degradation from Yossarian's perspective as his world becomes warped by the trauma of Snowden's death. by taking this away (deliberately!) i would argue that it does not tell a better story and very much detracts from the thematic arguments Heller was trying to make. it's just a truly baffling perspective. additionally, i feel like a base understanding of the intention of the nonlinear narrative (whether you like it or not) is quintessential to understanding Heller's premise.

or this!! yes, it is just a sentence--but it's important to the narrative to be like that. Yossarian's not even sure he's dead, just that he's gone. It allows the callback at the end with Yossarian and the chaplain discussing the whole "they got my pals" thing, and insisting that Clev is one of his pals--and expressing hope that he may be alive. Drawing out his death wouldn't have the same narrative draw or importance to it. the article goes on to then explain that it felt it was more narratively powerful to have Yossarian watch Clev's plane disappear in the cloud--which again, isn't the same thing Heller intended. Having a conclusive disappearance that is visible to the main character vs having an indeterminate disappearance where the main character can't be certain of what happened matters! Especially in a book like this!

The Blue Snowball Nebula (NGC 7662) is a magnificent planetary nebula located about 5,700 light years away in the constellation of Andromeda, the Chained Woman. Planetary nebulae are not where planets are being formed, but rather where stars are dying. At the end of a star's life it will cast out its outer atmosphere and the exposed core will ionize that gas, creating such a nebula.

Importantly I wrote some more Catch-22 fic. This is Cathcart x Korn. It's canon compliant. Back when I started writing Catchfic, the very first thing I wrote was a series I called 'What Happens When The Dust Settles', about the after-the-war stories of a series of characters. I realized recently that I never included Cathcart and Korn in it. Thus: here we go. It's been a while since I wrote them, but I still tried to get their voices pretty close, at least. The Blue Snowball Nebula, C22 // Maciej Mindziak

Seen here up close, you can see that the Blue Snowball Nebula has three separate shells. The brightest is the central shell, surrounded by an outer elliptical shell, and then finally a faint halo. These are likely the remnants of the upper layers of the atmosphere of the central star. The central star is now ionizing these layers, it having a surface temperature of over 100,000 degrees!
