Also, these gems are still on tumblr for your enjoyment. 🧡💙🧡 here, here, here, and especially this one. Oooh, this one too.
the lunch table configuration | 16.6K | Explicit
When Isaac makes Derek switch lunch tables, the last thing Derek expected was to fall for Stiles.
between the click of the light and the start of the dream | 105.1K | Explicit
It's Stiles' senior year, and he's trying to concentrate on normal things - like the lacrosse championship, spring break, prom, graduation (and definitely not Derek) - when he starts having nightmares and waking up in the middle of nowhere. Oh yeah, and he's being haunted by a hag. Great.
The Hollow Moon | 180K
It’s the summer after Stiles’ first year of college, and he’s working a crappy job and dealing with nightmares and anxiety - but he’s okay, he swears. He makes it through most days without too much trouble. Then, a certain werewolf comes back into town. Which Stiles doesn’t care about, nope, not at all.
Blind Date With A Book  | 30.3K
Stiles thought the Blind Date With a Book trend was a great way to drum up business for his small bookshop. He definitely thought it was a great idea after the hot guy kept returning and buying more blind dates with books.
Derek didn’t know how he kept getting set up on blind dates by his family, or why he kept going on them. The highlight of his night was when the date was over and he could go to the little bookshop in town and buy something to read for the rest of the night. He wanted to read, not date.
This Started As Only Make Believe | 44.1K | Explicit
Derek is trying (and failing) to juggle his career, coach lacrosse, and raise his 5 year old werewolf daughter. When he adds his bitter ex-wife and his daughter's slight attachment to him, Derek knows he doesn't have any time for a life of his own - and definitely no time for the super cute daycare teacher.
Past The Breakers | 40.7K
Stiles and Scott get summer jobs at the exclusive Seawolf Beach Resort, and the last thing Stiles expects is to start taking surf lessons from the hot lifeguard.
This Might Be Irony  | 38.3K
Stiles and Derek have been close friends since the Hale siblings moved in next door after their parents’ death. But Derek’s in the popular group, he’s a star baseball player, and he dates popular Pep Squad captain Jennifer Blake. Stiles doesn’t have any of that, just his skateboard and a hopeless crush on Derek (oh yeah, and his Vote Lydia Martin Prom Queen button). As prom and the baseball state championship grow closer, Stiles and Derek start rekindling their friendship.
And it all begins with two white boards.
heart as black as night | 97.7K | Explicit
It's 1924, and Derek Hale is a bootlegger and runs one of the many speakeasies in New York with the help of his Pack. They don't know, however, that he's also a hitman for his Uncle Peter, a shady Omega with mafia ties to whom Derek owes a huge debt.
Stiles Stilinski is about to graduate from high school and start working at the docks when he stumbles into the Sour Wolf, a speakeasy with lively music, a glamorous jazz singer, and a certain dark, handsome, and moody bartender that Stiles can't stop thinking about.
my heart’s been offline  | 58.8K
31/M/New York. Rich, lays in bed all day, likes to read (aka Derek Hale, son of an Oscar winning actress, brother of one obnoxious reality star and one rebellious fashion designer, hates the paparazzi so much he’s a recluse)
26/M/California. Boring office job, likes to read (aka Stiles Stilinski, co-owner of a 100 acre organic farm with his dad and two best friends, writer of obits for a newspaper, has absolutely no life)
Or, where Derek and Stiles meet online, and Stiles has no clue Derek’s part of a famous family.
I Ran (So Far) | 33.7K
In which Stiles’ summer starts off so badly he starts running, gets pelted by paint balls, and decides he is, in fact, going crazy if he willingly wants to hang out with Derek Hale.
But The World Won’t Stop Turning  | 19.9K
Derek glances at Stiles, who is watching him with a curious expression.
“Oh shit,” Stiles exclaims as comprehension dawns on him. “Everything makes sense now. Derek, I know what the witch did, she cursed you with – “
But before Stiles is able to finish his sentence, everything fades away and Derek is surrounded by darkness.
I'll Be Seeing You | 81.4K | Explicit
In the summer of 1941, with the country on the brink of war, diner waiter Stiles meets Derek Hale, an army soldier just passing through Beacon Hills.
Babcia Knows Best | 11.8K
Stiles takes his grandmother to bingo every Thursday. Now there’s a new guy calling out the numbers, and his grandmother has decided to set them up.
Wild Horses | 78.9K | Explicit
Derek's a drifter with no home, no destination, and no will to live. Stiles works on his family's failing cattle and horse ranch while all his friends are going off to college. When Derek falls asleep in a random barn, exhausted and half-starved, he doesn't expect to wake up on the other end of the sheriff's shotgun. And Stiles sure as hell doesn't expect his dad to invite the drifter in for breakfast.
no aphrodisiac like loneliness  | 19.7K | Explicit
Stiles is 27 now, with a master’s degree and a career and a house and a serious boyfriend and a life in San Francisco that doesn’t include Derek. But then Stiles unexpectedly shows back up in Beacon Hills, and Derek would recognize that scent anywhere.

batfam social media:
Bruce has a very boring insta, regularly updated and filled with pictures of galas and fancy dinners. he also has a slightly unhinged twitter where he "drunk" tweets and responds to his children's shenanigans. He also has facebook.
Dick posts workout posts to his tiktok. many of the posts come off as thirst-traps. he also has goofy-hanging-out with his friends posts on his insta. he also has twitter where he says some of the most questionable things you ever seen in your life. He's also old enough to have had myspace.
Jason just has twitter. it's an unverified account. everyone else in the family is verified. his digital footprint is super-light.
Tim posts skate-boarding videos to his insta and tik tok. he also does some of the tik-tok trends, usually with steph. He also does unboxing videos with Dick where they unbox the stuff companies send them and they review the stuff. tim and dick have a reputation for being brutally honest about the products, even having a popular meme created of them saying "you don't need this. don't buy it. it's just pretty landfill". Tim also does gaming videos with Jason on youtube/twitch.
Steph loves posting family fails to her tiktok, like Tim wiping out on her skateboard or jason walking into a street light. She also has a fairly wholesome insta that is her hanging out with her friends. she does little baking vidoes/pics with Jason, videos of her and Dick working out, pics of coffee dates with Cass, re-posts Damian's art, and does goofy videos of her and Tim etc. She got a lot of heat online, especially on twitter, when she dated Tim Drake Wayne so she's fairly careful about Twitter. She has it but doesn't post much, just jumping into the occasional bit of family shenanigans.
Cass has accounts for basically all the social media but doesn't post at all.
Duke works very hard to have a 'normal' instagram, twitter and tik tok presence. He doesn't want anyone to look to closely at his private life and worries not having 'normal' socials will raise flags.
Damian only has insta and twitter. He just posts his art on insta (never pictures of himself or his family/friends) and sometimes comments on twitter when someone's being, in his opinion, very stupid. All in all he doesn't post that much and the general public speculate it might be because Bruce is strict about social media. The batboys also didn't post much when they were his age (due to being busy with Robin) and publicly this supports the strict Bruce theory.

Some time ago, I posted this official Detective Conan artwork on here, asking if anybody in the Western DCMK community had ever seen it.
Original blog post here ->
Tumblr media
So far, everyone reacting to my post told me they've never seen this artwork before and honestly I am not surprised.
This artwork seems to be from around mid 90s, so approximately from around the first 3 seasons of the Detective Conan anime.
I personally have been obsessed with this specific artwork for a decade and always wanted to know the origin of it.
So here is what I've found out!
。☆✼★━━━━━🔎━━━━━★✼☆。
It all started around 2011 when I went to my first convention. There was a booth selling some anime postcards, and it got me interested, so I looked around and found a postcard with said Detective Conan artwork on it.
Tumblr media
Since I first saw it, I always wondered where the artwork was from, so I immediately began searching for its origin.
To my surprise, when I was doing the research in English, I would get no results. I researched for other postcards I got at that convention, and for them, I was able to find out that these artworks belong to old 90s Detective Conan coloring books.
Fast forward to late 2023, I decide to dig into that DetCo artwork mystery once again and I actually accidentally solved it by just buying an old Detective Conan anime book.
This is said old anime book:
Detective Conan's Mystery Academy
Tumblr media
Not sure if it's heard of in the western Detective Conan fandom.
I saw this specific book being sold as a pre-owned item online on a Japanese website. There was just a picture of the front cover, but it seemed so interesting to me that I just had to get it.
Once I got it, I immediately opened the book and there, not even on the first page, I saw it.
The exact same image as shown on the postcard.
Tumblr media
I assume this artwork was specifically made to be used in this book.
Oh hey, the poster has a printed backside.
Tumblr media
Apparently it's just a simple board game. Who would have thought that!
Technically this poster / board game combination has nothing to do with the actual content of this book. It was just put in there as an "extra".
So yeah, now we know the origin of the funky "Detective Conan characters on skateboards" artwork!
。☆✼★━━━━━Summary━━━━━★✼☆。
The "characters on skateboards" artwork was put as an extra poster in the "Detective Conan's Mystery Academy" book.
I would say, that's another Detective Conan lost media case closed! 👓

𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞
↳ warnings: none
↳ song: not quite almost christmas time—tom cardy
masterlist | coms | carrd
• Christmas in New York is always a hectic time of the year. The last week of the holiday season was always spent with adults rushing to buy a last minute gift for their partner while parents attempted to pry their kids from shiny display windows
• However, you, being friends with a guild of ninjas, had your own problems. Namely, what exactly were you supposed to get four giant mutant turtles and their rat dad?
• Food and gift cards were out of the question. Unless it was pizza, you weren't sure they would eat it, and gift cards would be rendered useless by their mutant appearance. No shopping sprees were going to be held for the brothers anytime soon
• After many frantic late night texts sent to both April & Casey—and one call to Splinter on the cheese phone, which you were scolded for later—you eventually settled on four gifts for them
• From you, Michelangelo would be getting a new skateboard with a five hundred pack of stickers to decorate it with. That had been a tough call, considering you knew how much he loved his current set of busted wheels, but you decided the purchase was worth it in the end
• For Raphael, you got him a can of roach killer
• It's a gag gift, of course, but he wouldn't have to know that until after the embarrassing teasing ceased
• His actual present was a new set of paints and canvases—most of them from a brand you knew he loved, but had a hard time getting ahold of since they were produced in Japan
• Leonardo's gift would consist of a limited edition Space Heros comic you knew he had been itching to get at for a while now. It was probably the most expensive—and when you say expensive, you mean expensive. Comic owners were really protective about first editions—but it's worth it
• As for Donnie, you had gone a little old school with him. Instead of going out and buying a gift, you had instead sat down at your kitchen table and brought out the scrapbook scissors
• The following poster you created consisted of all of the most memorable moments in scientific history—from the creation of the periodic table to the splitting of an atom
• Right in between all of those amazing discoveries, you made sure to include important milestones in Donatello's life. Starting on the day that all five of you had met
• While you were slaving away over your rickety dining table that was very much due for an upgrade, the turtles were having a present wrapping party of their own
• When it comes time to wrap their gifts, Raph's the artist of the group. He would probably be really good at it—cool bows, smooth taping jobs and all—if he didn't get so pissed off at the wrapping paper for giving him little paper cuts. In the end he just uses the little bags with tissue paper stuffed in it. Much easier
• Mikey is. Uh. Mikey. His presents are always fun and full of surprises—one year, you got a pie to the face—but his wrapping most certainly is not. Ends up just having to go to Leo or Donnie to help him, or it just ends up an amalgamation of tape and paper. Mostly tape.
• Leo's probably the most normal out of the group during the seasonal activity. Gets it done all in one afternoon fairly easily, and most definitely uses some limited edition Space Heros wrapping paper he found online. What else, of course
• Donnie is really methodical about it for some reason? It's just wrapping, but he uses equations and an actual whiteboard full of complex math for it. What color matches best, how to cover an awkward shaped present perfectly, the cost of labor, etc
• April ends up doing both her and Casey's in the end. He's too lazy to actually do it and just ends up annoying her until she does
• In the end, Christmas in the lair goes down perfectly. You, April and Casey were all able to slip away from your parents houses for just a moment to witness the Hamato clan open up your gifts, each of you sitting beneath the soft glow of a Christmas tree that Splinter had pulled out from somewhere

Something I've always been fascinated by as a casual toy enthusiast are the various "subcultures" of toy collecting that seldom seem to overlap. At different points in my life I've bumbled into various scenes with completely segregated audiences: action figures, fashion dolls, plushies, anime figures, Re-Ment miniatures, designer toys (think Bearbrick, Kidrobot, Popmart, Tokidoki, that sort of thing). The culture shock is always a little confusing.
Tumblr media
Case in point: these are the Penny's Box OOTD of Cai dolls. They're kinda tricky to track down nowadays, but it just so happened one of my go-to toy stores on Shopee was still carrying them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You may recognize Penny's Box from the minor blind box BJD explosion of late. Though these aren't BJDs but have more conventional mechanical joints (kinda like the Street Series Adou dolls).
Tumblr media
Trying to track down any information on Ollie Family (the artist? collective? that created the Cai character) online nowadays is a pain in the ass; you wouldn't expect a fairly recent designer toy collaboration to take up the same energy as lost media research-wise. Then again maybe the language barrier (since we're talking about the Asian toy scene) is my biggest hurdle here.
Tumblr media
The main reason I bring it up though is that between the street fashion and skateboarding influences, Ollie Family as a whole hews closer to "urban vinyl" designer toy aesthetics. This is in contrast to a lot of later Penny's Box lines (like the centaurs) that seem to appeal to the more "feminine" aesthetics you'd see a lot of in the BJD community.
Tumblr media
I'm probably overthinking this, but outside of companies like Penny's Box and Come4Arts you don't see much overlap between the BJD and urban vinyl scenes. It's kind of a curious situation for someone like me, who enjoys dolls just fine but prefers the more "street" aesthetics to the floofier lolita-influenced styles. Alas, then you run into the classic gendered "boys don't buy dolls (unless they're marketed as action figures)" dilemma.

Electric skateboards are safe for everyone
What are electric skateboards? - electric skateboards london
An electric skateboard is a type of skateboard that is powered by a rechargeable battery. It typically has a small electric motor that drives the wheels, allowing the rider to reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour or more. The quality of electric skateboards can vary widely depending on the brand and model. Some high-end electric skateboards can have features such as regenerative braking, wireless remote control, and advanced sensors for stability and safety. However, cheaper models may have a lower quality build and less advanced features. It's best to research different brands and models to compare features and quality before making a purchase.

Electric skateboards are safe for everyone. - electric skateboards london
Electric skateboards can be safe for many people, but they also have some risks and potential hazards. As with any sport or activity, it is important to take proper safety precautions and to use the equipment correctly. Some safety tips for using an electric skateboard include:-
Always wear a helmet and protective gear, such as knee and elbow pads.
Learn how to control the speed and acceleration of the skateboard before riding at high speeds.
Be aware of your surroundings and avoid riding in crowded or busy areas.
Use caution when riding on wet or slippery surfaces.
Keep the battery charged and check the condition of the motor and other components regularly.
It's also important to note that electric skateboards may be illegal to ride on some roads, sidewalks or bike lanes. Therefore, it's always best to check your local laws and regulations before riding.
However, electric skateboards may not be suitable for everyone, particularly for children or inexperienced riders, as it requires good balance, coordination and control over the skateboard.

Sonic the Hedgehog speeds his way back into restaurants with a Sonic themed menu at IHOP (aka The International House of Pancakes), and SEGAbits was there to sample Sonic’s offerings! Longtime readers of the site might know I have an affinity for Sonic food promotions, so much so that I dedicated a YouTube series to chronicling past promotions. When SEGA emailed me to tell me about the limited time menu, I had to make plans to visit my local IHOP to see how the promotion was rolled out.
I have not been to an IHOP in decades, so I did not know exactly how they operated, but it’s a sit down diner with table service. The restaurant was surprisingly clean, and I say that because I’m used to the more mom and pop diners which prefer to show a little more grease. As far as Sonic decor, the menus at the tables were all the branding I saw. I was hoping for maybe some window decals and posters but a quick search on their website did reveal that Sonic branded gift cards also exist.
Tumblr media
The menu itself does not offer anything new or unique to Sonic, as all the items are existing menu items with new names. I will say, however, that they are all very appropriately selected with either the character’s color being referenced (Sonic’s Blue Blur Special being blueberry pancakes), a pun being made (Knuckle’s Chicken Sandwich) or a characters favorite food being utilized (Amy’s Sweet Strawberry Delight). The Sonic nerd in me noted that the menu was using renders from 2010’s Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and in Amy’s case, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)! This isn’t a complaint, it just was kind of wild to me that I was sitting in a restaurant in 2024 and was looking at renders for a game that was released the year SEGAbits started.
Tumblr media
One omission from the physical menu that does appear on the IHOP app is the mention of making your meal “Sonic Style” which adds a side of onion rings. This little bit is probably the one addition that pushes the menu over the top for me. Pancakes and onion rings are such a bizarre combination that the food promo fan in me totally loved.
Tumblr media
As you can see above, I went with Sonic’s Blue Blur Special and I asked the waitress to “Sonic it up” with some onion rings. I also added a side of fruit to create the illusion of eating healthy and had a side of coffee. The pancakes were quite good, and the onion rings were a special treat.
Tumblr media
I even managed to take some “ring portal” photos with one just because I was in a silly mood. The promotion did not end with the menu, as a QR code invited guests to join the IHOP rewards program. New members received 5 points, and you receive 1 point for every $5 spent. After my visit I managed to rack up 13 points which I could redeem for various digital codes of newly released Sonic games or an exclusive Amy Rose costume for Sonic Superstars which sees Amy in a retro diner costume.
Tumblr media
I’ve seen some fans online complaining about how the costume is tied to buying food from a restaurant, which is just baffling to me. The costume exists as a promotion for IHOP and the intention is to get new customers in and expand reward club memberships. Without the IHOP cross promotion there would be no retro diner DLC! The fun is in eating a Sonic themed pancake and leaving with a unique Amy Rose costume. It’s like in the early 90s when you had to buy Cookie Crisp to get a little plastic figure of Sonic standing on a skateboard.
Tumblr media
Overall, I’d highly suggest Sonic fans run over to their local IHOP and check out the menu. It’s fun to have a Sonic infused breakfast and getting some DLC is a special treat. Here’s hoping we see more Sonic food promotions in the near future, my fingers are crossed for another Sonic movie Happy Meal this December.
