Let’s talk about the fact that Eddie set up a meeting with a real estate agent to look at houses in El Paso. Let’s talk about how he didn’t once mention to anyone that he was even thinking about moving closer to Christopher. Let’s talk about how the only reason Buck found out was because he literally walked in on Eddie browsing houses, and Eddie still had the audacity to flip the tablet shut and try to act like nothing was going on.

Eddie never planned for Buck to find out about that meeting. He definitely didn’t plan for Buck to jump on it with him. But how long, really, did Eddie think he could keep this all under wraps? Did he seriously believe he could just buy a house in El Paso, pack up his life, and casually drop that bomb on everyone later? Just like that?

And here’s the thing: we know Eddie. We’ve seen him do this before. He makes these impulsive, all-or-nothing decisions—joining the army, quitting his job, deciding he’s fine when he’s absolutely not, meeting up with his dead wife doppelganger, even the desicion to move to LA in the first place—and then, when it all catches up to him, he starts to question it.

SO INTERESTING to me the way that Eddie and Shannon’s first on screen conversation is phrased.

A scant 6 episodes after he and Buck promise to do EXACTLY THAT for each other and then continue to do so no questions asked for 7 years.

Am I supposed to think that word choice is a coincidence?!

whenever I start doubting that BT are breaking up soon I remember that this is how Buck looked at Tommy in the last episode

and for absolutely no reason at all, lets also look at how Buck looked at Eddie in that same episode (in some instances after Eddie did/said the same thing Tommy did)

The closet is made of glass. And so is the locker room of the 118. Eddie is parading around shirtless and Buck tells him he's single and Eddie welcomes him back to the land of the living with a hand on his shoulder. The irony is not lost on me.
