the madney storyline was so soft and beautiful and really well handled, i think.

but to me it’s kind of obvious that it’s also there in the episode to make this not just a big ass buddie episode. because this is what this episode was: a buddie episode through and through, despite the fact that they only had one solo scene together and it was at the end.

and moreover, the added madney storyline revolving around parenthood when the one very blatant unresolved issue for buddie at the moment is chris’s absence is incredibly loud.
