Millie’s Pregnancy and the Fandoms Reaction

Okay so let me preface this by saying that everyone is allowed to have their own opinions. This is mine, this is a rant on how the fandom is treating Millie after the most recent episode. This is my opinion if you don’t agree or if you are angered by it simply block me or ignore my post, don’t send me hate comments. Thank you.

Moving on, after Sinsmas this really just solidifies and shows me how much this fandom hates their woman characters. When it comes down to Millie and Octavia this episode has proven that to me. I’ll be talking about Millie and her pregnancy, I won’t be talking about Octavia b/c fear I will be attacked for that one. This one hopefully won’t get as much hate.

First, I’m gonna start off with the cheating theory. People have been suggesting that Moxxie isn’t the father. And all I have to say to that is that it’s ridiculous. Millie would NEVER cheat on him. That’s the love of her life. And the fact that people would rather believe that she cheated and that’s the reason she’s upset instead of it just her being nervous or not wanting the baby is absurd. She loves Moxxie so much.

Second, everyone is making this about Moxxie. It’s pretty upsetting to be honest. The fact that everyone believes that either, she’s nervous b/c she cheated or she’s nervous b/c she doesn’t wanna disappoint Moxxie is frustrating. Can we not make this about Moxxie and instead focus on Millie? Not everything has to be about Moxxie, Millie doesn’t HAVE to be connected to Moxxie. And I get that Vivzie loves to have Millie’s character focus on Moxxie, but that’s the thing. This fandom often complains about her character being all about Moxxie. Yet when we get this moment of her being upset. Her being alone and not having Moxxie with her, a lot of the fandom (not everyone) decides to make it about Moxxie. It’s not just Viv that’s the problem when it comes down to making Millie’s character all about Moxxie, it’s also the fandoms.

Third, it feels like no one is actually focusing on Millie’s emotions. We see her sobbing to her sister over the phone about being pregnant and not knowing what to do. We see her in distress, and a lot of the fandom’s reaction to this was to be excited over her being pregnant, and to say “she’s gonna be such a good mom!” But it feels as if no one is focusing on how upset she really is about the situation and is just celebrating over her being pregnant.

Which leads to the fourth and final thing. This connects with the third but I felt I should make it its own separate topic. And that’s what Millie is going to do with the fetus. Everyone seems to believe she will keep it, which is fine. But again a lot of people are ignoring her emotions in that scene. She is upset and in distress, maybe it’s b/c she’s nervous about being a mom, that’s what a lot of people (who don’t focus everything on Moxxie) think. But one thing a lot of the fandom doesn’t discuss is abortion. It’s something that a lot of them seem to ignore like the plague. And I don’t get why?? Like it’s not a bad thing. If it is ever brought up, people usually act like it’s the worst possible outcome. They usually say things like: “no!” or “aw but I want Millie to be a mom!” And honestly, I don’t really get why they’re so disappointed about the possibility of abortion. It could be a great direction to the story and could give Vivzie a chance explore more of her character! But at the end of the day it’s up to Vivzie.

Anyways that’s all I really had to say. This rant actually made me feel a lot better so. If anyone decided to read this and doesn’t agree with what I’ve said then that’s fine! That’s your opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but please don’t send me any hate, thank you!

I love seeing them when they’re in their 20s and 30s and seeing their relationship after knowing each other for that long, it’s cute! But please what about the timelines where they fall for each other after their well in their 60s and thought that they’d never find love again after their last relationships

Okay, I'm just gonna be reeealll straight and honest with y'all here-

Billford.

Warning: I'm not going to tag this post, because there aren't any actual spoilers in it, but these were my thoughts after reading it. Read if ya want.

I, personally, never shipped it. I also never had a problem with others shipping it. I respected it and still do. Perhaps more now. It was sort of a "whatever, do what you want, like what you like, don't care" ship for me. BUT!

NEVER, in a million years, did I think the Book of Bill would get me into it rather than the goddamn fandom.

Okay, let me be more specific here...

I didn't see them as properly being in a relationship. It's not my OTP or anything like that, and it sure as hell wasn't healthy or sweet.

Bill was abusive, and Ford was a victim.

But I do believe that, despite using him, Bill actually felt connected with Ford, and they had some good times... And he was real upset when the only person he felt that connection with left him.

That doesn't make it any less toxic or wrong.

I wouldn't say I ship it now, per se, but I definitely see it, because it feels canon.

To me, it was a one-sided, maybe-romantic thing with Bill, and he was hurt. This does not excuse the fucked up shit he did.

Maybe it wasn't truly romantic, but there was some element in there, if you ask me.

To anyone who disagrees and thinks it definitely was or definitely wasn't romantic-- Alright! You're entitled to your own opinion.

But, y'all, I did not expect the Book of Bill to be about Bill and Ford's toxic yaoi, and hell, I'm not opposed.

It was great, I cannot explain more how much I fucking loved reading it.
