Reading moonrise for the first time. And ya’ll, I get MothPool now. It’s crazy how much bonding time they get compared to other ships.
Not even FireStorm, SilverStipe, and BrambleFlight have gotten this much attention.
SandFire was mostly always FireHeart being stressed and Sanstorm being frustrated with him. There were only like three wholesome moments in which FireHeart went “ she smells good. “ and they cuddled maybe. BrambleFlight is basically the same thing, with BrambleClaw occasionally being reminded SquirrelPaw is actually pretty smart. All SilverStripe was, was them being defensive of their relationship. Even Brook and StormFur don’t get that much attention. ( though I feel they are a close second )
Of course they have super editions and i imagine there is more bonding scenes in there. But i haven’t gotten that far yet.
On another note, I adore DustPelt and FernCloud ❤️❤️❤️

I believe Squirrel had some better options as a mate than Bramble. So, here’s some aus where everything could’ve turned out better:
Squirrel x Storm
Stormfur even tells that he had a crush on Squirrel, but then decides to take Brook as his mate. Honestly, I’m not saying that it’s bad, but still, it’s sad that Squirrel decided to ignore such a loving cat. Stormfur even proves that he’s willing to cross borders and leave his clan just be together with cat he loves.
Changes: Stormfur in ThunderClan & they adopt the three -> Squirrel tells him truth about the three’s origins, but he still raises them as their own -> Holly never runs away or tells truth on the gathering, because her father was honest to her, and all three is thankful to him for being a good dad
Squirrel x Brook
Despite Brook and Squirrel not interacting a lot, I just think that they could be a nice lesbian couple adopting abandoned/traumatized babies.
Squirrel x Ash
I know that I’m stepping in controversial territory, but hear me out-
What if instead of using his energy on stalking, he used his energy to care for cat he loves?
Even if they weren’t together, he could’ve offered to help with newborn kittens, and here, Firestar’s decision to make him Lionblaze’s mentor would be explained.
He could’ve literally prevented the great battle and death of many cats by simply not being obsessed with getting relationship with Squirrel.

The Genetic Journey of Two Sisters: an Analysis of ThunderClan’s Gene Pool
Flashnose and Daisytoe made their debut in Goosefeather’s Curse, and are revealed to be sisters born to unknown parents. Although these sisters fade into the rest of ThunderClan’s old history, their genetics encompass the entirety of ThunderClan, bleeding into two other Clans. Here is an analysis of their profound genetic impact, starting with Flashnose. (Cats who’s names are red have kits)
Flashnose + unknown tom have a single daughter together: Swiftbreeze. Later in life, Swiftbreeze and Adderfang have five children: Leopardfoot, Patchpelt, Redtail, Spottedleaf, and Willowpelt. Leopardfoot and Pinestar have Tigerstar, Mistkit, and Nightkit. Patchpelt and Goldenflower have Swiftpaw & Lynxkit, while with Robinwing, he has Longtail. Willowpelt, with unknown toms, have Darkstripe & Graystripe. With Whitestorm, she has Sorreltail, Rainwhisker, and Sootfur.
→ Tigerstar and Goldenflower have Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, and with Sasha, Tadpole, Hawkfrost and Mothwing. Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight have Sparkpelt, Alderheart, Dandelionkit, and Juniperkit. Sparkpelt and Larksong have Nightheart, Finchlight, and Flickerkit. Tawnypelt and Rowanclaw have Tigerstar II, Dawnpelt, and Flametail. Tigerstar II and Dovewing have Lightleap, Shadowsight, Pouncestep, Birchpaw, and Rowankit, while Dawnpelt and Crowfrost have Strikestone, Sleekwhisker, and Juniperclaw.
→ Graystripe and Silverstream have Feathertail and Stormfur, and with Millie, he also fathers Briarlight, Blossomfall, and Bumblestripe. Stormfur and Brook have Pine that Clings to Rock, Lark that Sings at Dawn, Feather of Flying Hawk, and Breeze that Rustles the Leaves. Blossomfall and Thornclaw have Stemleaf, Shellfur, Plumstone, and Eaglewing. Stemleaf and Spotfur have Stempaw, Graypaw, and Bristlepaw.
→ Sorreltail and Brackenfur have Cinderheart, Poppyfrost, Honeyfern, Molepaw, Lilyheart, and Seedpaw. Cinderheart and Lionblaze have Fernsong, Sorrelstripe, Hollytuft, Spotfur, Snaptooth, and Flywhisker. Fernsong and Ivypool have Thriftear, Flipclaw, and Bristlefrost. Sorrelstripe and Dewnose have Bayshine and Myrtlebloom. Spotfur, as previously mentioned has Stempaw, Graypaw, and Bristlepaw with Stemleaf. Thriftear and Bayshine have Moonpaw.
→ Poppyfrost and Berrynose have Cherryfall and Molewhisker.
→ Lilyheart and Snowbush have Larksong, Honeyfur, and Leafshade. As previously mentioned, Larksong and Sparkpelt have Nightheart, Finchlight, and Flickerkit.
This wraps up Flashnose’s genetic line, moving us into Daisytoe’s genetic line.
Daisytoe and Rooktail had Moonflower and Goosefeather. Moonflower and Stormtail had Bluestar and Snowfur. Bluestar and Oakheart had Mistystar, Stonefur, and Mosskit. Mistystar and Blackclaw had Reedwhisker, Primrosepaw, Pikepaw, and Perchkit. Snowfur and Thistleclaw had Whitestorm. Whitestorm and Brindleface had Ferncloud, Ashfur, Elderkit, and Tulipkit. With Willowpelt, he also had Sorreltail, Rainwhisker, and Sootfur. Ferncloud and Dustpelt had Spiderleg, Shrewpaw, Birchfall, Larchkit, Hollykit, Foxleap, and Icecloud. Spiderleg and Daisy had Toadstep and Rosepetal. Birchfall and Whitewing had Dovewing and Ivypool, who’s mates & kits were previously mentioned.
Although Daisytoe and Flashnose’s bloodlines began separately, they converge at certain points (i.e. Whitestorm x Willowpelt, Tigerstar II x Dovewing) to form an extensive genetic pool that is responsible for 30/46= 65% of the current ThunderClan population (as of Wind) & 6/30= 20% of the current ShadowClan population. Holy shit.
I’d add Robinwing x Fuzzypelt as an honorable mention, but given the fact that their son (Dustpelt) and their granddaughter (Ferncloud) have kits, their line merges with Daisytoe’s since her great-grandson is Whitestorm, who’s also Ferncloud’s father. Alternatively, we could focus on Frostfur, but since both of her sons took mates from Flashnose’s genetic line, their entire family line is one with Daisytoe & Flashnose’s.
Times like this make me feel very fortunate that certain information was retconned. If the fact that Redtail & Brindleface had Sandstorm remained canon, this would make Squirrelstar, Leafpool, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf all related to Flashnose. Which raises that ThunderClan percentage from 65% to 76%. This would also make Lionblaze and Cinderheart related.
Seeing how much ThunderClan grew from these pair of sisters is always a “wow” moment for me. Their spirits have likely faded from StarClan’s ranks, but I can’t help but wonder if they ever looked down on their descendants and felt proud of how big their families have grown.
I’ve never seen the exact percentages before that’s absolutely wild. It’s insane how these one off characters that no fan would really remember otherwise, let alone remember they are sisters, have ultimately become the root of most of the current ThunderClan incest problems.

let's give u a bit of a challenge, what are ur thoughts on graystripe & millies kits? (and if u wanna do graystripes extended family, don't let me stop u!)
Graystripe is dark gray with a stripe along his back. Because of this stripe i want to make him tabby, and i chose blue ticked. (Honestly this is a bit of an old and never reexamined headcanon, but it'll do now).
The stripe on his back is like this:
Tumblr media
Millie is a light gray tabby which can be a lot of different things, let's put her aside for a moment.
Bumblestripe is "very pale with black stripes". Black silver tabby. Let's give Millie the silver allele then, and she'll be black too, since diluted x diluted wouldn't give dense.
Briarlight. She is dark brown, but i don't do chocolate, cinnamon or sepia, so what remains is black tabby. Ticked is already at hand, it can be dark and it's certainly brown.
Blossomfall: "tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with petal-shaped white patches". You just had to give a tortoiseshell daughter to two grey cats, hadn't you? So let's turn Millie into a tortie too (so she's now a black tortie silver tabby), and... I almost didn't give Blossomfall real white spotting, just make her smoke for white patches, but unfortunately she needs some to give it to Stemleaf. So that means Millie needs some too. But I think i'll still make Blossomfall smoke, it's fun and can help to make those "petal-shaped" patches.
So we ended up with black tortoiseshell silver tabby with white for Millie.

Graystripe and Millie
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bumblestripe, Briarlight, Blossomfall
Graystripe's extended family:
Willowpelt, his mother: blue tortie ticked tabby. (Tortie beacuse of Sorreltail. I could make Willow just blue, and Whitestrom masking red and Snowfur, Moonflower and Daisytoe all masking tortie, but he's allegedly Ferncould's father too, and she isn't tortie. Well, she could be... but i rather not. I'll continue thinking about this. Right now tortie Willowpelt is what feels best to me. It even makes her somewhat lighter.)
Silverstream and Feathertail: blue silver mackerel tabby. Feathertail is darker.
Stormfur's family
Stormfur: blue smoke. Smoke, so it makes more sense for the tribe to think he's the silver cat.
Brook Where Small Fish Swim: black mackerel tabby.
Pine That Clings to Rock and Breeze That Rustles the Leaves: black ticked tabby.
Lark That Sings at Dawn: black silver not-ticked tabby.
Feather of Flying Hawk: black silver ticked tabby.
Blossomfall's family
Blossomfall: black smoke tortoiseshell with white
Thornclaw: red (mackerel)
Stemleaf: red with white
Eaglewing: red
Plumstone: black tortoiseshell
Shellfur: cream smoke (he's supposed to be tortie. you can give him a small dark patch or something i guess)

For the anon who requested Leafpool x Stormfur for the hypokits, tumblr fumbled your ask so sorry about that!
When I rolled my d4 to determine how many kits to put into this litter, I rolled a 3. So this turned into more of a hypoparents AU than some hypokits. I did make some art though!
Leafpaw takes Squirrelpaw’s place on the journey to the sun-drown-place. She and Stormfur fall for each other as they travel. Feathertail doesn’t die in the mountains, but falls in love with Brook and elects to stay in the mountains when the Clans pass through during the Great Journey. Squirrelflight and Crowfeather spend time with each other on the Great Journey and have a fun fling, but after the WindClan coup, neither is willing to compromise for the relationship, and they messily break up. Leafpool learns she is pregnant, and tells Stormfur; he decides to leave RiverClan and move to ThunderClan. Squirrelflight is also revealed to be pregnant around the same time, and the three decide that Stormfur will move to ThunderClan ‘for Squirrelflight’ and he and Squirrelflight will raise both litters together.
Later, on a cold winter night, Squirrelflight gives birth to Featherkit and Shrewkit, and Leafpool gives birth to Streamkit, Stonekit, and Cinderkit.
Streamfur (Hollyleaf) is a black molly with green eyes. She is one of the Four prophesied cats, with her powers being very spiritual. She is able to see ghosts/spirits, and can visit StarClan at will. She is mentored by Brackenfur.
Stonespark (Lionblaze) is a thick-furred gray tabby with amber eyes. He is one of the Four prophesied cats, with his powers being centered on the physical. He is strong and durable, practically unable to be injured. He is mentored by Ashfur, and later mentors Bumblepaw. He still ends up with Cinderheart.
Cinderwing (Jayfeather) is a pale gray tom with blue eyes. He is one of the Four prophesied cats, with his powers connecting him to the minds of others. He has the ability to enter the emotions, thoughts, and dreams of other cats. He is mentored by Brightheart (with help from Longtail), although gets frustrated with how the Clan at large treats him due to his blindness. He later mentors Blossompaw in both the waking world and the Dark Forest. He and Poppyfrost become mates.
Featherfoot (Dovewing) is a pale ginger molly with green eyes and dark paws. She is one of the Four prophesied cats, with extended senses. She is able to see, hear, and smell things very far away. She is mentored by Sorreltail, and later mentors Briarpaw. She moves to ShadowClan post-OotS to be with Tigerheart.
Shrewfrost (Ivypool) is a gray tabby molly with blue eyes. She is not one of the Four prophesied cats, but she has a connection to the Dark Forest. For a long time she believed them to be StarClan spirits, and became a medicine cat to foster that connection.
A summary of major changed events in Po3 and OotS are below the read more!
Power of Three Four
Streampaw starts as Leafpool’s apprentice (she’s ambitious, and likes the idea of the power and responsibility being a medicine cat will give her, but doesn’t enjoy healing); Shrewpaw starts as Brackenfur’s apprentice (she enjoys warrior training, but is curious about healing, and is being singled out by ‘StarClan Warriors’.)
After Streampaw has a conversation with Brook, who has been staying in ThunderClan with her mate Feathertail, she decides she wants to be a warrior. Shrewpaw has a similar conversation with her mentor Brackenfur about his littermate Cinderpelt, and decides she wants to be a medicine cat. The two soon switch mentors.
Stonepaw and Breezepaw are competing in the Daylight Gathering; Featherpaw hears the collapse, and gets Shrewpaw before leading her - along with Squirrelflight, Leafpool, Crowfeather, and Nightcloud - to where the boys are. Shrewpaw is able to heal them, solidifying herself as a Medicine Cat, but realizes that Featherpaw should not have been able to know about the collapse, and is a bit suspicious of her littermate.
Shrewpaw is told about the prophecy (there will be four, kin of your kin) by a Dark Forest cat; they twist it to demonize the Four
Cinderpaw learns about the prophecy in Firestar’s dreams, and realizes that he is one of the Four.
Stonepaw begins meeting Heatherpaw in the tunnels connecting WindClan and ThunderClan.
Stonepaw and Cinderpaw begin training in the Dark Forest. Stonepaw is convinced to train by the Dark Forest warriors taking advantage of his anger and ambition. Cinderpaw is convinced to train in the Dark Forest due to feeling as though ThunderClan doesn’t take him seriously as a warrior.
After learning that three WindClan kits have gone missing, Stonepaw, Streampaw, and Featherpaw enter the tunnels. Between Featherpaw’s hearing and Stonepaw’s knowledge of the tunnels, they are able to find the kits. Unfortunately, they find the kits at the same time as Breezepaw and Heatherpaw do. The five apprentices must then figure out how to escape the tunnels as the water is rapidly rising. After they escape, Heatherpaw and Stonepaw agree to stop meeting.
Three Tribe cats arrive in ThunderClan to ask Feathertail and Brook to return to the Tribe. Stormfur and Brambleclaw want to journey to aid the Tribe. Leafpool asks that Squirrelflight be sent in her place, since as the only fully trained medicine cat she cannot leave the Clan. Brambleclaw says that Stormfur and Squirrelflgiht’s kits should be able to journey as well; Leafpool agrees. All five apprentices (along with Breezepaw) are sent on the journey. Brambleclaw does some math in his brain while seeing Crowfeather and Stormfur interact with the five apprentices, and figures out what’s happening here, although he does not mention it to anyone.
After the fight with Flick’s Group, Cinderpaw reveals the prophecy to his siblings. Shrewpaw seems shocked, but keeps her concerns about the Four to herself.
When Sol takes over ShadowClan, Shrewpaw encourages a mentality within ThunderClan that ShadowClan doesn’t need aid or rescuing, as they were not strong enough to remain as a Clan. She is neutral on Sol himself, while the other four think he may be the key to understanding the prophecy.
Streampaw, Stonepaw, Cinderpaw, and Featherpaw fake a sign from StarClan with the help of Tigerpaw, Flamepaw, and Dawnpaw. Featherpaw and Tigerpaw notably get along well. They do not include Shrewpaw in their plan due to her being outspoken against aiding ShadowClan.
Cinderwing does some time travel as Cinder’s Glow. Cinder’s Glow has a sibling, Stream’s Flow, that reminds him of Streamfur. Their mother, Feather Fall, looks just like Featherfoot does; their uncle Stone Spark couldn’t be more like Stonespark. He is delighted to learn that reincarnation is real.
Ashfur corners Streamfur, Stonespark, and Cinderwing as they attempt to escape a fire in the ThunderClan camp. Squirrelflight claims she is not their mother in order to allow the three to escape. Cinderwing determines that she’s telling the truth with his powers.
They tell their littermates this immediately.
Streamfur kills Ashfur; Leafpool knows it’s her after finding some of her fur in Ashfur’s claws.
Ashfur haunts Streamfur, taunting her about being a murderer and a mistake.
Stonespark stops training in the Dark Forest, realizing how they are using him and trying to make him worse. He asks Cinderwing to stop training there as well, but Cinderwing believes he can learn the valuable information the Dark Forest warriors have without being corrupted, similar to how smart people get sucked into marketing schemes. Stonespark is frustrated by this, but the two agree not to speak of it.
Shrewfrost, believing they are one litter, determines their mother is Leafpool after investigating some stories about mixed up herbs.
Streamfur confronts Leafpool, thinking she will know who their mother is, and Leafpool confronts Streamfur about killing Ashfur. Leafpool then confesses she is the mother of Streamfur, Stonespark, and Cinderwing, and then reveals that Shrewfrost and Featherfoot are a different litter, and Squirrelflight is their mother.
Featherfoot, horrified, overhears Streamfur and Leafpool’s conversation.
Stonespark and Cinderwing confront Stormfur, thinking they will be revealing information to him, but he confirms that he already knows, and that he is their father.
Before the siblings have a chance to pool their knowledge together, Streamfur reveals that Squirrelflight isn’t their mother at a Gathering, naming Leafpool as their mother. Leafpool steps down from her position, and claims all five kits as her own, attempting to save Squirrelflight from the fallout of having a half-Clan relationship.
Stormfur stands to declare his love for Leafpool and claim all five kits as his as well, standing with his mate.
This throws the Gathering into such chaos that Streamfur can’t reveal Squirrelflight’s part in the deceit, and Streamfur runs away, followed by her littermates and parents.
Ashfur’s ghost disappears now that the secret has been revealed.
Streamfur, chased by Cinderwing, Squirrelflight, Stormfur, and Stonespark, runs into the tunnels. As Stormfur enters the tunnel, the entrance collapses, partially burying Stormfur and leaving Stonespark behind. Streamfur stops running in order to help Squirrelflight and Cinderwing dig him out, and then the four begin to attempt escape. They discuss the truth while they are underground, with Cinderwing and Streamfur learning about Stormfur and Leafpool’s relationship, as well as Squirrelflight and Crowfeather’s relationship. They are led above ground by Fallen Leaves, whom only Streamfur can see. Stormfur learns of Ashfur’s threats to his family.
Above ground, Shrewfrost confronts Leafpool, and tries to force her to eat deathberries; Leafpool refuses, and tries to comfort her apprentice. They are interrupted by Featherfoot, who bursts in with Stonespark to tell them about the tunnel collapse. The four, led by Featherfoot, begin to try and find the other members of their family. As they search, Leafpool tells them about her relationship with Stormfur, as well as Squirrelflight and Crowfeather’s relationship.
Everyone is overjoyed when the tunnel group escapes. The kids reveal their powers and the prophecy to their parents. The siblings are not friendly with their parents, but are trying to be understanding of the difficult decisions their parents had to make.
Omen of the Stars
Featherfoot realizes that the beavers are causing the lake to run dry. In order to convince Firestar that they need to address the problem, she convinces her siblings to come clean to him about being the Prophesied Four.
Feather and Stream go with cats from the other Clans to destroy the dam. Streamfur displays a lot of self-destructive tendencies on the journey, eager to die in service to her Clan. However, Rippletail’s sacrifice hits her hard, and she realizes that she must live with her actions, and work towards being better.
Featherfoot and Tigerheart spend plenty of time reconnecting on the journey, and begin meeting in secret once they return to the Clans.
Poppyfrost, very pregnant with Cinderwing’s kits, decides to sneak out of camp and travel to the Moonpool, as she misses her siblings and wants to see them again.
Streamfur follows her, arriving in time to save her from an attack by Breezepelt. Streamfur then realizes she is also fighting a ghostly Brokenstar, but thankfully a ghostly Honeyfern helps even the odds. Cinderwing is so stressed when they return to camp.
Tigerheart is revealed to also be training in the Dark Forest. Cinderwing’s apprentice Blossompaw is brought into the night training as well, and Cinderwing does what he can to aid her.
StarClan calls for the medicine cats to be separated; the Dark Forest encourages this for Shrewfrost, saying that they will guide her. She realizes that she is not meeting with StarClan, but believes the spirits to be helpful and have the Clans’ best interests at heart.
Featherfoot hears a tree begin falling into the camp. She is able to warn the Clan in time for the camp to be evacuated, but her apprentice, Briarpaw, re-enters camp with Longtail. She is horrified when Longtail dies and Briarpaw is injured by the tree finally falling into camp, feeling as though she should have been able to prevent it. She is a strong supporter of her former apprentice.
Shrewfrost is told by the Dark Forest that ShadowClan is looking to gain ThunderClan’s land; she lies to Firestar about having a dream indicating they must attack. Firestar reluctantly agrees.
During the ensuing battle, Stonespark accidentally kills the elderly Russetfur while protecting Firestar. Stonespark is shocked and horrified, and Shrewfrost, looking upon the carnage on the battlefield, realizes that she is communicating with the Dark Forest, and they are angling for the destruction of the Clans.
While playing games on the frozen lake, Flametail falls through the ice. Streamfur does everything she can to save him, but is unsuccessful. Flametail then begins haunting her, with both of them being unsure as to why he cannot enter StarClan.
Cinderwing and Stonespark journey to the Tribe in order for Cinderwing to investigate strange dreams he’s been having of Cinder’s Glow. While in the past, Cinder’s Glow is introduced to his new cousin, Shrew Foot, who reminds him of Shrewfrost. Stonespark is able to find a bit of peace with Russetfur’s death during his time in the mountains. Leafpool and Stormfur join them, and must endure Feathertail teasing them the entire duration of their stay.
Cinderwing learns that there will be a Fifth cat. When he returns and tells his siblings, they all believe this cat to be Shrewfrost, despite her insistence that she isn’t.
Streamfur realizes that the reason Flametail cannot get into StarClan is that because it's so divided it is beginning to decay. She enters StarClan and manages to drag Flametail in behind her, and the two set about uniting StarClan.
Cinderwing realizes that the Dark Forest is amassing an army of living cats; he realizes that he was tricked into this, and begins spying on the Dark Forest.
Featherfoot realizes that the strange whispers she has been hearing are WindClan cats in the tunnels, working with Sol to attack ThunderClan. ThunderClan begins preparing to fight back, with Cinderwing helping to train the other warriors to fight in the darkness of the tunnels.
As a test of his loyalty to the Dark Forest, Cinderwing is told to kill the WindClan cat Antpelt. In order to be able to continue spying - and to avoid being killed himself - he complies.
Shrewfrost comes clean to her siblings about being misled by the Dark Forest. Stonespark comforts her, and tells her that as an apprentice he was also misled by the Dark Forest. He glares at Cinderwing until he also reveals that he also was being misled by the Dark Forest. The two are loved and supported by their siblings.
Streamfur isn’t killed during the Final Battle.
Featherfoot moves to ShadowClan to be with Tigerheart with her parents’ blessing.
Leafpool returns to her position, and begins a campaign to remove the rule that medicine cats can’t have mates, with Shrewfrost’s support.

ADDING ONTO THIS WITH MY PERSONAL STORYLINE FOR THEM!!! It's really long and Feathertail DOES die here but i think its really interesting
I imagine Featherpaw saw Tawnypaw with Tigerstar and held some resentment towards her like she did towards her clan in her graphic novel. When they have to go on the journey together, Feathertail is initially distant with Tawnypelt, and she feels quite guilty about it. It fuels Tawnypelt's feeling of struggle trying to fit in with her clan since joining them seems like it makes everyone distrust her a little more.
But the journey continues. Tawnypelt is injured by the rat and gets to spend time talking to Feathertail as they rest. Tawnypelt brings up the discomfort Feathertail feels and they begin talking about it. Tawnypelt says she didn't follow Tigerstar out of agreeing with him, and was horrified by his actions. She followed him because Thunderclan hated her and she thought she may belong better in Shadowclan.
Feathertail relates heavily, the two sharing their experiences and ending with Feathertail holding no grudge and Tawnypelt's feelings of guilt for joining Shadowclan dimming. From that moment on, they talk a lot more than they used to on the journey, working together for a lot of it and having nice bonding moments.
Going on to Moonrise, they really get close. Like, everyone sees them as mates close. (Thought I should mention but I'm cutting out the gross bits with Squirrelpaw and Stormfur and with Feathertail and Crowpaw. Crowpaw can maybe have a crush on Feathertail, but it is heavily unrequited. Meanwhile Stormfur doesnt have his little crush on Squirrelpaw because thats downright inappropriate. seriously whats with the apprentice x warrior shit erins please stop.)
ANYWAYS Stormfur is upset with Feathertail, seeing her fall in love with a cat from a different clan. "Haven't you learned from mother?" Stormfur's a prick about it, then immediately goes and falls in love with Brook and is caught up in the prophecy. Feathertail rips him a new one, calling him a hypocrite and saying he's self-absorbed in the wake of this "silver cat prophecy"
Tawnypelt talks with Feathertail and the two spend more and more time together. It's to the point that Tawnypelt reconsiders being in Shadowclan or Thunderclan. Maybe she belongs with Feathertail, in Riverclan. She and Feathertail plan eagerly.
But all these plans come crumbling down. As the final plan to stop Sharptooth commences, Feathertail has a sense of clarity. She had to save her brother, her friends, her love. She dies as she did in the books, saving the group.
Tawnypelt hasn't felt this lost in a long time. She thought she'd finally found somewhere she belonged, and yet? It all came crashing down. When they get back to the territories, Tawnypelt lingers around the borders, informing the others of what all is happening.
She becomes more and more frustrated with the clans as they refuse to leave. Hardened by the loss of Feathertail and frustrated with her lack of belonging, she's the insistent and even angry voice of reasoning telling Shadowclan and the others to leave, to heed the prophecy and to see what's happening around them.
The clans give into the idea following her insistence. Shadowclan in particular is both taken aback by Tawnypelt, but also respects her courage and feels her loss, honoring her wishes by agreeing to leave.
Tawnypelt is one of the leaders of the group as they leave for their new territories. She helps guide the clans through their journey. As they stop with the tribe, feelings of loss envelope her again. It doesn't help that Stormfur decides to stay with the tribe soon after. Though angry at his hypocrisy, she can't help but to feel she's lost more. He was part of the group that journeyed with them, after all.
Maybe he felt lost in Riverclan without Feathertail? Tawnypelt couldn't imagine herself being in Riverclan without her. Hell, she can't imagine herself being in any clan without her. Yet here she was.
But she continues on. She helps Shadowclan find their home at the lake, establishing her new home with them. Despite feeling lost without Feathertail, Tawnypelt feels a little relief as she puts her paws down and claims her new home.
As Tigerstar tries to pull her into the dark forest, twisting her loss and her leadership abilities in a light of taking over Shadowclan in his name, Tawnypelt is infuriated. She did all she had for her clan, for Feathertail. She hates Tigerstar for dragging her into this mess of loss and feeling out of place, for hurting the ones she loves. She aggressively denounces Tigerstar and rips Brambleclaw a new one for ever falling into his traps. She goes back home to Shadowclan, feeling relief as her clan isn't influenced by Tigerstar, seeing how it's grown and how it's accepted her.
The seasons pass. Tawnypelt gets by. Shadowclan is the place where she feels is the closest to a home she can get, and they've grown a lot of respect for her following her leadership on the journey and her change and growth from her losses. Rowanclaw, while not getting to be her mate, acts more kindly than he did before. Eventually, she fathers her kits, though is more of a surrogate than her mate.
She has her three kits. One, a vibrant red tabby who she names Flamekit. One, a cream tabby with gray splotches named Dawnkit. And one, a fluffy tabby. His pelt was a light brown, dull and shining in the light. His tail was fluffed out like a pine needle, but softer. He looked almost exactly like Feathertail, only being brown with amber eyes. Instead of Tawnypelt's odd canon choice to name him Tigerkit, her second son is named Featherkit, to honor her love and his resemblance to her. Having these kits seems to lessen the pain. It's as though Feathertail were here with her, as if these were theirs together.
I dont know where it goes from here, other than a reconciling scene at the end of the Last Hope where Feathertail, accompanied by Flametail, visit Tawnypelt after the battle. Tawnypelt misses them both and pleads for Feathertail to stay here longer, to meet their kits, but Feathertail assures her that she'll see them one day. That she'll see her again. One day.
adding onto the The New Prophecy/ The New Clan AU: feathertail x tawnypelt endgame, sorry.
they are canonically so interesting, being around the same age and both leaving their birth clan (feathertail stayed with greystripe in thunderclan at first.) They both left their birth clan to join a secondary clan to be closer to their other parent, Tigerstar and Silverstream. They also had trouble adapting to the secondary clan with Rowanclaw being especially mean to tawnypelt in TNP arc, and Tawnypelt seemingly have to continuously choose to be in Shadowclan.

-if we’re taking the family tree as canon: whitestorm x brindleface
-also if we’re considering the family tree as canon: blackclaw x mistyfoot
-dustpelt and ferncloud could’ve been nice if they weren’t literally retconned to be uncle and niece and if dustpelt hadn’t been creepy and pursued her when she was a brand new apprentice and saying he wished she was his apprentice and mentoring her brother
-spottedleaf x firestar, it wasn’t end game but it was still gross
-brambleclaw x squirrelflight should not have been end game unless brambleclaw had actually learned and became a better person
-also ashfur x squirrelflight even though it wasn’t end game, they could’ve had like spiderleg or thornclaw be the other dude, but the family tree was already out so at the time it was canon ashfur was her UNCLE and yet they still put them together
-i don’t like stormfur x brook for multiple reasons
-sharpclaw x cherrytail, he was her mentor, it’s weird, hawkwing’s parents should’ve been sharpclaw and ebonyclaw
-hollyleaf x fallen leaves
-jayfeather/jay’s wing x half moon
-lionblaze x cinderheart, lionblaze was fucking gross and toxic to her they shouldn’t have been end game
-thornclaw and spiderleg should swap mates (thornclaw has kits with daisy, blossomfall and spiderleg have kits)
-dovewing and tigerheartstar i’ve talked about this one at length
-pinestar x leopardfoot i’ve also talked about this one at length
-ivypool and fernsong, no chemistry, no point, feels weird, if they wanted to shove ivypool with a tom they should’ve put her with molewhisker or stormcloud
-snowbush x lilyheart, they’re literally first cousins and also foster siblings it’s double gross
-twigbranch x finleap, they’re like first cousins once removed and ALSO basically adopted siblings because hawkwing helped raise finleap and his littermates and they considered him more like a father than sandynose
-speaking of which, hawkwing x pebbleshine, they’re cousins, but if you fix cherrytail and sharpclaw being hawkwing’s parents then that problem goes away and it’s fine (also sandynose being dead now i want hawkwing x plumwillow)
-going back to the family tree: cloudrunner x morningflower, cloudrunner is older than her FATHER and also WAS her father’s MENTOR
-graypool x rippleclaw, rippleclaw was a senior warrior when CROOKEDSTAR was born and graypool was born like a year and a half after he was born
-more family tree: runningwind x dappletail? runningwind is literally her nephew and dappletail was canonically in bluestar’s prophecy mates with stormtail and her kits’ descriptions are literally them being a blue-gray kit and a white kit (hmm sounds familiar huh)
-rabbitleap x bellaleaf it should’ve been bellaleaf x harrybrook
-in the same vein: it’s not entirely canon it’s just what kate said because she thinks harrybrook is the father of reedclaw’s kits, but absolutely not (they’re juniperclaw’s kits and you can’t tell me otherwise)
there’s probably more but i’m tired and don’t feel like thinking about more

☆Warrior Cat Ships☆
♡Part one- Canon Ships!♡《The ones that I know of and can remember》
Firesand- 10/10!
I personally like the "Rivals to lovers" trope they have going on! It reminds me of Doctor'Zombie and Vet'Zombie's relationship! And plus, they have my favorite gurl! Squirrelflight!<3
CloudBright- 10/10!
A wholesome ship! And I absolutely love wholesome ships, and they remind me two of my ocs! Storm'Acid X Deathflame! They are also a wholesome ship of mine!<3
Leafcrow- 10/10!
I absolutely love forbidden relationships! This is one of my favorite forbidden relationships actually. I felt bad for both of them when they had to separate when they returned to the clans, like, they could've been so happy together and raise the three together as well!
Bramblesquirrel- 0/10.
I absolutely hate this ship! Like, Bramblestar is so abusive towards Squirrelflight, and I clearly can see it more after watching Moonkitti's video about this! Do I need to rant more about this ship? No I don't. I think I said enough about it in different posts of mine. Sorry to anyone who ships this.
Ashsquirrel- -0/10.
Hell no. I'm sure the events in the broken code can definitely prove that Ashfur was worse then what he was before. You think trying to burn Leafpool's kits wasn't enough for him? Then read the broken code. He is absolutely SICK and TERRIBLE to her in this arc! Like all of THIS just because she didn't love him?!?
Dustfern- 8/10!
I will admit, this ship is something I am not around a lot, but I do ship it. It has potential like the other ships that I know and aren't like Ashsquirrel and Bramblesquirrel. But it's definitely cute!
Lioncinder- 4/10!
I hate Lionblaze. I have no opinions about Cinderheart, except for being a good girlfriend for Hollyleaf and Willowshine. I could care less about this ship though, like, am I supposed to feel anything about it? To me, it's kinda boring and kinda rushed.
Graysilver- 10/10!
Another forbidden relationship I love! It's good to me, cause I said so. And the kits they had, Stormfur and Feathertail? They have some amazing potential and a precious sibling relationship!<3
Stormsquirrel- 2/10.
I know nothing about this ship, I didn’t even know it existed until I just went through Squirrelflight ships. Though I don't really like, I prefer Stormfur with Bramblestar or with Brook.
Brookstorm/StormBrook(??)- 7/10!
It's a good ship, it really is. But, I wish we could've see more of them. Like, c'monnnn erins, I wanna see more of Stormbrook!
Rootbristle- 10/10!
I absolutely love this ship!! Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that absolutely adores this ship! Like, it has potential, it's healthy, and it's cute! They actually talk about their relationship and talk things out. Though I hope the whole forbidden love code is gone in the next arc. I can tell, and maybe the code might change cause of Bristlefrost x Rootspring!
Tigerdove- 10/10!
Ahh yes, another forbidden ship I love! I love Tigerheartstar X Dovewing! Though I don't get with the hate towards them? Like, they both are great parents towards their kits. They are like, omg, so adorable! Like, I'm glad to see Dovewing happy in Shadowclan with her mate, Tigerheart. I'm glad she's not being pressured by the kin of your kin prophecy, or being stressed about it and such. Like, I'm sure the Dovewing fans agree with me. Maybe. Anyways though, I love this ship either way!<3
GrayMillie- 5/10!
I could care less about this ship, like it's good? But uh, where did it come from? Probably from Graystripe's adventure that I had not read, which I probably should to know more about this ship. Though, I do not like their kits! Well I like Briarlight, but I just don't like Blossomfall and Bumblestripe.
Blossomthorn/Thornblossom- 0/10.
Isn't he like, way older than her? You know what, WarriorCats never makes sense. I'm not gonna complain about this, but anyway, I just don't like them both.
Brackensorrel/Sorrelbracken- 9/10!
A wholesome ship that ended in tragedy and makes me feel bad for them. I love this ship though!<3
Aldervelvet- 8/10
I like this ship! I would love it more if it was more developed and more focused. But thats okay, I can always make AUS about them! But for real, I wish it was more developed and focused, cause it seems like it has potential.
Tawnyrowan/Rowantawny- 10/10!
I love this ship! I wish we saw more of it though! I notice most of the headcanons that I seen for Rowanclaw/star are him being transgender, which makes me confused. Where did this start? I don't have a problem with it though!^^
Blueoak- 10/10!
Ohhh man!! I absolutely love this ship! It's one of my top favorites! I felt so bad for them, especially Bluestar. Like, their such a good ship. Of course it was a bit rushed, but, I could care less about the ship being rushed. They both had such cute kits BUT they definitely had potential.
Spottedfire- 0/10.
I kinda see them as a "embarrassing babysitter crush" type of thing. Like I don't like this ship, and I don't care for it.
Bramblestar X Jessy- 0/10.
Uhhh, I will admit, I didn’t finish Bramblestar's storm so I don't know her. She's just a kittypet and Bramblestar has a crush on her, that's all I know and heard.
Feathercrow- 5/10.
I mean, it's cute? Yeah it's cute, just not my cup of tea. I mean they might have chemistry? I think? It's been a while since I read TNP and I don't remember much from that arc. I don't think I ever finished Starlight now that I think about it. . .
Nightcrow- 5/10.
I mean, I like Nightcloud and I also like Crowfeather. As a ship? Ehhh, not really a huge fan of it. I mean, they just have a stinky boi, who I happen to like as well. Butttttt,,,,it's fine. I just don't see them as a couple.
Lionheather- 0/10.
I don't remember anything about this ship. Wait, who's Lionblaze? Never heard of him. Haha, he sucks like Bramblestar and Ashfur.
Bumbledove(?)- 0/10.
Nope. Nah. I don't remember much about him besides being Graystripe's son and having a unhealthy crush on Dovewing. Not my type-
BerryHoney(?)- 5/10.
To be honest, I don't remember much about Honeyfern. Like was she from TNP or PO3? I can't remember.
Berrypoppy(?)- 6/10.
I also don't remember much about Poppyfrost, like, their cute? I just don't remember much about Poppy tbh.
CrookedWIllow- 10/10!
They were such a cute couple! I may not remember much about Crookedstar's promise《cause I don't keep rereading like I do with Bluestar's prophecy》 but it's still a cute ship!!
Violettree/Treeviolet- 10/10!
This ship is adorable! They are such a wholesome ship and I stand by my opinion about them! I just need to know more about Tree's past and all, like, oh I don't know? Read Tree's Roots or something along that? I only know that he used to be part of the sisters and his mother was Moonlight and that's it.
▪︎Jayfeather X Half Moon- 5/10.
I'm a bit. . .confused? Like, how does this work? Cause she's dead and probably older than him maybe? Maybe I don't know? Look, I just, I just don't really ship it.
Spottedthistle- 0/10.
Bye. I need to leave, and casually ignore that whole situation with Thistle and Spotted, and just focus on what really happen, and that Spotted was happy as a medicine cat and clearly is a lesbian ace. Bye.
Goldentiger- 7/10!
These two remind me of Corrupt(oc) X Harmony! My two ocs! I'm not sure why but they do! Though, they(Goldentiger) have a trashy son and I don't like him very much. I wish we got see more of them, like, wholesome moments and not Tiger being a totally murderous bish.
Tigerstar X Sasha- 5/10.
I will have to read their Manga to understand more about this ship, cause I'm not sure how to feel about it if Tiger just hates Kittypets, and such. Like bro, if you hate outsiders, then why love a kittypet hm? I also don't know anything about Sasha, just that she was mates with Tigerclawstar, she had three kits, but one of them died. And I know what their kits's names are; Mothwing, Hawkfrost and Tadpole.
Snowthistle- 10/10!
Thistle deserved Snow, and not Spotted. Cause I ship Snowthistle so much!! They had such a amazing kit as well!!
Larksong X Sparkpelt- 7/10!
Personally, I find it cute! I wish I knew when this ship started, but it probably started somewhere in AVOS right? And believe it or not, they had three kits and one of them is gonna be again character in the new arc soon!
Yellowfang X Raggedstar- 0/10.
Nope. Yellowfang deserves better, and when I say better, maybe someone like Bluestar or whatever ship that's good for her. Or maybe no ship for her at all! I just hate Raggedstar and his son, Brokenstar!
Stemleaf X Spotfur- 5/10.
I don't really care for the ship, I mean, it's cute I suppose. But really though, I just don't care about them. I just hope their kits will be cute though, and erins, I'm begging you that none of the kits are treated like shit and such.
Ravenbarley- 10/10!
Ahhh, a amazing gay classic ship!! I absolutely adore this ship!! I didn't know if it was canon or not! I still don't, and I should probably look more into that!! Anyway, I absolutely love these two!!<3
Nutmeg X Jake- 3/10.
I mean, it's cute? I think? I just wish we could see how much he liked Quince and Nutmeg. Cause like, did he ever felt anything for them unlike for Tallstar? Eh, probably just me. She deserves better.
Quince X Jake- 4/10.
It's also cute but meh. Not my type though they get a four cause they had Scourge《One of my favs》.

Who would you pair Squirrelflight with?
For the birth of the Three's sake, Crowpaw. Hear me out:
I wouldn't just put them together as they are no. When they go on the journey, they'd hate each other. Crowpaw is a stuck-up, grump and Squirrelpaw is reckless and doesn't shut up. But, as time goes on, they eventually become frenemies, then actual friends. They'd definitely bicker, but over smaller things and see each other more as equals. Feathertail doesn't die because I'm tired of the way the Hunters treat female characters.
By the time they return to the clans, (I don't know how long the journey was so let's say like four months or more or something) they've grown on each other. Squirrelpaw taught Crowpaw to lighten up a little and that it's okay to have fun. Ceowpaw taught Squirrelpaw to have more tact and not rush into decisions without thinking.
Eventually, after the Great Journey, they fall for each other and the Three are born. Maybe Squirrelflight says she found them abandoned. Or maybe she tells cats to mind their damn business if they ask who the father is. Or, maybe she raises them with Shrew like with a Bluestar Thrushpelt situation done right.
Squirrel seems like the kind of person who would sneak the kits to the Windclan border to meet their father every once in a while. So the Three don't have an identity crisis. Or maybe Holly grows up can't take this casual breaking of the warrior code anymore and tells everyone eventually like the snitch she is.
X
X
For not the sake of the Three then:
Tawnypelt: she's serious, but a likeable character.
EDIT: I FUCKING FOUND YOU YOU FUCKING BITCH ASS POST. SQUIRREL X STORM IS NOT CUTE SHE WAS AN APPRENTICE AT THE TIME AND I'D FORGOTTEN
Stormfur: Their something of a relationship on the journey was cute. Also, Storm's relationship with Brook felt sudden.
Shrewpaw: I'm still salty over his death
Mothwing: I don't know, I think it would be cute. And maybe Mothwing would find her excitable nature endearing.

Crowfeather and Stormfur kits... I’m getting back into plotting out my TNP/PO3 fic 👁👁 -CrowStorm anon
Aahh hi!! It's been so long my dude, I'm excited for your fic! Tag me when you start putting chapters out please!
Tumblr media
~Gentle reminder that requests are closed~
Crowfeather x Stormfur - They have three daughters!! They are piled in baby girls that they love!! They are all named after birds because...Feathertail and I like birds okay?? Couldn't decide if they would have tribe names or clan names so I'm doing both! Brook surrogates for them!
Dove that coos at dawn/Dovewhistle - smallest and youngest daughter she is a pale brown-grey ticked tabby molly with amber eyes! She's pretty quiet and not very loud, takes more after her Riverclan blood than others so she's pretty plump and strong! She's also based off of a rock dove!
Magpie with falling feathers/Magpiefeather - black tabby bicolor molly with blue eyes! Tallest daughter and middle child, she actually spends more time with her surrogate mother Brook than her fathers, they're worried she may have gotten Crow's anxiety and distances herself because of it. She's selectively mute and communicates mostly with tail signals and 'blink once for yes' occasionally. She hates mud.
Pigeon fighting for nest/Pideonscratch - pale grey tabby molly with white spotting, usually covered in both mud and moss. Loves water and is never bothered with rain or spray. The oldest and chatty daughter, she's got the best social skills (compared to her family they still aren't the greatest) and gets along with most cats.

Brambleclaw X Stormfur has so much untapped potential. by far my favorite mlm wc ship. extremely underrated. would improve Brambleclaws character greatly.
they have so much compatibility, and their admiration of eachother is SOOO. GOOD.
they should have both gotten over Squilf at the end of TNP and gotten together :)
Brook could have stayed in the mountains peacefully and Squilf would not have suffered nearly as much in her life.
and my boys could live happily ever after together

There was a theory I saw by a fellow Warriors fan named @_GoldenGuard on Twitter, and I wanted to share it with you & get your opinion from it.
OP believes that Moonpaw is one of Stormfur's descendants, born into the Tribe of Rushing Water, and part of Stormfur and Brook's final litter or their granddaughter (which is more plausible given their ages). This would explain why her Clan of origin is purposely omitted from the blurb if she isn't a Night x Sun daughter.
Another point OP made is the central plot surrounding the foretelling of the Moonpool's destruction. If any damage to the Moonpool disrupts the cats' connection to StarClan, the Tribe of Rushing Water is the only other religious/spiritual group aside from the Sisters.
OP stated that they believed the sinister voice in Moonpaw's head to be Mapleshade. Not only is she a prominent Dark Forest resident who hasn't yet faded, but she would have a reason to torment Moonpaw since she's Appledusk's kin.
As for the voice in Moonpaw's head, I believe Feathertail seems like the most plausible cat. If she's a Tribe cat and Stormfur's daughter/granddaughter, this would make Feathertail her kin. In addition, as Brook's daughter/granddaughter, she would also be related to the Tribe's current Stoneteller. In addition, Feathertail is the only StarClan cat we know who can cross between StarClan and the Tribe of Endless Hunting at will. If StarClan is ever in danger of being cut off from the Clans due to the Moonpool's destruction and one of our protagonists originates from the Tribe, Feathertail has no choice but to intervene if she's the only cat who can do so. Maybe the voice's sinister aura comes not from them being evil, but by the urgency in their warnings.
Crowfeather, Feathertail's former lover & one of the original 6 cats chosen to go on the journey, is on the cover despite not being mentioned in the blurb. Tawnypelt very recently interacted with the Tribe. It potentially sets the stage for an arc that serves as a callback to The New Prophecy, and Moonpaw being a Tribe cat herself would cement her as such a unique protagonist.
@_GoldenGuard created such an amazing theory and I genuinely hope that at least some elements of it ring true in the upcoming arc.
That is such a good and well thought out theory. I agree I really hope at least elements of it end up in the books. It would be such a unique and interesting premise for a warrior cats arc to have a cat from the tribe being a protagonist in this way.
The Feathertail idea you have is so good, and honestly preferable to Mapleshade to me. I feel kind of Mapleshaded out recently and I think it would be such a cool twist if the voice isn’t inherently evil, just the urgency of the messages giving off that vibe.

this is probably a long time ago but i just saw it on my dashboard and if you don’t want to respond that’s fine! I feel so dumb but I really just want to know and I can’t seem to find any ‘explanation’ yet but why what’s thing about the Tribe that makes it racist? Sorry for bothering! (If i’m just being dumb and there is already someone who answered this please let me know)
long post. sorry mobile people
Hey, anon. Sorry this took me a while, my computer died a few months ago and I’ve been using other peoples’ since. Plus I’m just tired of answering questions irt racism but I wanted to actually give you a good answer lol
In universe, frankly, the first issue is the differences from clan cats.
Usually, I’d actually like having groups with different cultures and the like in warriors! I like comparing cultures and seeing differences and effects when it’s handled properly. The problem is how the differences put them at a disadvantage against the clan cats as a whole or show them as strange, primitive, or as something similar to the Noble Savage trope.“The Healer also almost never leaves the cave, because unlike leaders they do not have nine lives and it’s easier for them to be killed.” (x) The fact that the Healer/Teller of Pointed Stones/Stoneteller doesn’t receive nine lives, while indicative of a different culture from the clan cats, clearly places the clans as a more ‘valid’ and legitimate group. This is heightened further when you consider the entire prophecy that they receive during the new prophecy arc.“However, the Tribe has their own prophecy to fulfill: they see Stormfur as their only hope, the silver cat mentioned by the Tribe of Endless Hunting, their spiritual ancestors.“ (x)”A silver cat will come, and rid the Tribe of Rushing Water of the dangerous mountain cat Sharptooth.”(x)While it some will likely argue that this is an unfair comparison considering that they are cats, this harkens back to the White Savior trope/Mighty Whitey trope. Despite the setting becoming more of a fantasy place as production continued, the clans were originally intended to be set in England, specifically in New Forest. (x) Arguably, the original clans can be considered relatively ‘aracial,’ ignoring metaphors such as half-clan kits and the like. This, juxtapositioned with the heavily coded nature of the tribe, creates some unfortunate situations when actually examined. The tribe, with practices including darkening their pelts with mud in order to hide themselves (something that makes me personally uncomfortable) and being able to hunt eagles, harkens back to the Noble Savage trope, with a group doing things that the ‘aracial’ main cast find strange and thrilling to learn and take back with them. Effectively, they use another culture as a backdrop for their own growth and for Stormfur’s story and emotional arc.Stormfur being accused of being the cat of prophecy and Feathertail’s death are just another drop in the bucket of stories of outsiders coming to save indigenous and otherwise non-white groups from problems they can’t solve themselves. There is no reason, truthfully, that a tribe cat couldn’t have dealt with the cougar themselves, given that it took no great skill for Feathertail to kill it. Merely sacrifice. Multiple times over the course of the series, the tribe needs the clan cats to save them from outside threats and every time it feels unnecessary and, frankly, insulting as a Native American myself. A group of cats shown to be able to hunt eagles being unable to figure out a way to drive rogues from their lands is strange, in my eyes, and upsetting at the same time. The argument of subversion could be valid in Stormfur’s case (as he messed it up originally and wasn’t the savior himself at all) if they didn’t go as heavily in the direction of Feathertail being the savior instead. Chosen by the tribe’s ancestors, she even hears voices of the ancestors prior to her death. Feathertail is buried by the tribe with the highest of honors. (x) While in character it’s great for her to have been honored so highly, the fact that the tribe cats had to rely on clan cats to save them is insulting at best. While he wasn’t the actual savior himself, everything with Stormfur and Brook, honestly, is uncomfortable to read when considering the implications of what’s going on. Brook reads like a Chief’s Daughter with four paws. “The Chief’s daughter […] is often the first to befriend Mighty Whitey during his visit to the strange new land. She’ll conveniently be beautiful by Western standards, but with just enough racial traits to be exotic.” (x)“She is the first cat to realize that Stormfur is the cat from the prophecy, and confronts him. Although scolded by Crag Where Eagles Nest, she welcomes the cats if they are not there maliciously.” “This disappoints Stormfur a little bit, since he likes the she-cat’s courage and friendliness. Brook shows up just as the Clan cats are getting ready to sleep for the night. She was sent by Stoneteller to make sure that the cats were comfortable, but Stormfur wonders if it was just him that she was sent to help.” (x)While this seems fine at first, if you just consider it a normal romance, it becomes more uncomfortable to think about. “More often than not, she will fall in love accidentally with the White Man who likes her as well and wants to marry her. Often this can be seen as a litmus test to see whether the white man is worthy of being part of their tribe.” (x)“Rock says that Brook had begun to love Stormfur while she was teaching him the ways of the Tribe. Although cats like her brother, Talon, didn’t care for Stormfur at first, they soon changed their mind because of the love Brook had for Stormfur.” (x)This trope, of a white man coming in and a Native American girl falling for him has been done over and over again, with one of the biggest examples being to Pocahontas. Even looking at the plot for both of these movies, similarities become clear. A young Native American woman, related to either the chief or the future chief, falls for a foreign man while teaching him the ways of her people. Following the conflict, she ends up traveling far from her home to stay in a culture foreign to her, learning their ways. In Pocahontas, there are two different men she falls for. In warriors, Brook leaves the tribe to stay with Stormfur, having become his mate after he elected to stay. Deciding to stay in the tribe, by the way, is almost the epitome of the Going Native trope.“The Going Native trope plays to this fantasy by having a character lifted out of his typical environment and thrust into a new one, only to become a part of that new world. […] As soon as they feel quite comfortable, possibly having fallen in love with a local girl and/or learned big lessons from a mentor figure, count on their old life to come messing with them.“ (x)“As the Clans leave once they have had enough food to eat, Stormfur decides to stay with Brook and the Tribe. Stormfur chooses to stay with the Tribe, with Brook and Feathertail’s spirit. The Clans thank the Tribe and leave.“ (x)The theme of clan cats being more connected to the tribe than the tribe themselves continues with Jayfeather, with him going back to the past using his power as Jay’s Wing. Jay’s Wing urges the group that would become the Tribe of Rushing Water to go to the territory that they’re shown in modernly. (x)The tribe is allowed nothing for themselves. Not history nor their own heroes or successes in the books. Their naming traditions, which are cringeworthy and borderline racist in the books themselves both for normal cats in the tribe and the practice of completely changing the Healer’s name, are mocked by Rock“Rock notes that he finds this method strange, as he perceives that this way of naming kits would cause many kits to be named things like ‘Wall of Cave,’ or ‘Floor of Cave.’” (x) and their first Stoneteller was involved heavily with Starclan (Which, along with the things do with Jay’s Wing, are remarkably similar to the Magical Native American trope in its bare bones), despite the fact that Healers aren’t given the same nine lives as the clan cats. While much of this is likely due to bad writing, it doesn’t excuse the implications that come with what they’ve written. It’s poor writing and an absolute shitshow of racism, with trope after trope being just stacked on top of each other in hopes of making a good story. It doesn’t work and it just shows a lack of care and respect for cultures other than their own. Don’t come onto my post and whine about it being celtic or some shit.

Warrior Cat LGBTQ+ Headcanons
Gay GNC Transboy Sol: Explains his tortoiseshell pelt. Falls in love with Blackstar after seducing him to get him to shun StarClan, but Blackstar is already in a realtionship with Russetfur. He soon gets jealous of Russetfur, and blocks out his feelings so he can continue his plan to overthrow the clans, never telling Blackstar his true feelings. Polyamorous Bi Blackstar: Falls in love with Sol while he already loves Russetfur. Thankfully, Russetfur is polymourous and Sol doesn’t seem to mind, so he is able to be with both of them- or so he thinks. When he learns that Sol took advantage of him, he feels betrayed, unknowing of Sol’s real feelings.  Polyamorous Bi Grayromantic GNC Transgirl Russetfur: Blackstar is the one cat that she romantically cares about, a rarity due to her being grayromantic. When Blackstar falls in love with Sol, she is okay with it, because she is polyamorous, and finds Sol attractive, not romantically, but attractive nonetheless. She comforts Blackstar after Sol left, and is resentful towards the tortoiseshell tom. Would have had a queer-platonic relationship with Sasha if she had the chance. Gay Transboy Redtail: Explains his tortoiseshell pelt. Is in a relationship with Runningwind. NBLW AMAB Nonbinary Echosong: Has a slight crush on Leafstar, but was okay with a queer-platonic relationship with her. Transboy Puddleshine:  Explains his calico pelt (Yes, calico. Look at the design for him on the Warriors Wiki and you'll see what i mean. He’s a chocolate calico).  Lesbian Sasha: She was a victim of compulsory heterosexuality with Tigerstar. She would have had a relationship with Leopardstar and a queer-platonic relationship with Russetfur if she had the chance. Gay Flametail: Had a crush on Jayfeather. Transboy Rowanclaw: Do i have to explain? Lesbian Nightcloud: She was a victim of a mixture of compulsory heterosexuality with Crowfeather, and her fear that is she was with a girl, she wouldn’t be able to have children. Bisexual/romantic Ceasesexual Ashfur: He mistook sexual attraction to Squirrelflight as romantic attraction. His sexual attraction occasionally goes away completely. He would have had a relationship with Hawkfrost if he had the chance. I also headcanon him as autistic, but that’s another story.  Bisexual Homoromantic Jake: Quince and Nutmeg were just flings, Nutmeg understood, but Quince got attached. In a relationship with Tallstar. AMAB Nonbinary AroAce Pinestar: He was in a queerplatonic relationship with Shanty and Jake. Leopardfoot fell in love with him and he was too soft-hearted to tell her no. He convinced himself that he loved her when he really only saw her as a friend. Polyamourous Transgirl Brick: In a relationship with Bone. Open to more people in the relationship. Polyamourous Bone: In a relationship with Brick. Open to more people in the relationship. Gay Darkstripe: Would have had a relationship with Tigerstar if he had the chance. Bi Grayaro Hawkfrost:  Would have had a relationship with Ashfur if he had the chance, but he knew it could get in the way of his plans. Same situation for Ivypool. Heteroflexible Grayfraysexual/Grayfrayromantic Squirrelflight: Usually is fraysexual but occasionally isn’t. Was fraysexual with Ashfur but not with Bramblestar. Sex-Repulsed Asexual Twigbranch: It’s not that she doesn’t want to have kits, it’s that she doesn’t want to do the thing that comes before it. She’s too embarrassed to tell Finleap this, who has had it drilled into his head by his dad that you have to have kits with your mate. Once she tells Finleap about her feelings, however, he understands. Asexual Lesbian Transgirl Mothwing: Would have had a relationship with Leafpool if she had a chance. GNC Transgirl Brook: Had her kits with Stormfur. Transboy Stormfur: Explains his tortoiseshell pelt. Had his kits with Brook. Transgirl Homolithosexual Homokaloromantic Feathertail: Desires a romantic relationship with the same sex despite feeling only sexual attraction towards them, does not want to act on her sexual attraction for fear of getting someone pregnant and having what happened to her mom happen to them. Felt pity for Crowpaw.
Demigrayaro Pansexual Sandstorm: Usually aromantic, but sometimes demiromantic.
Pansexual Nondysphoric Nonbinary Ivypool: Would have had a relationship with Hawkfrost if she had the chance.
Bi Blossomfall: Had a crush on Ivypool.
Bi Demiromantic Demisexual Tawnypelt: In a relationship with Rowanstar before and after his transition.
