➼ Sundrop speaks Spanish (He LOVES to curse in Spanish, like "mi*rda" and "p*ta madre",  because he doesn't want the others to understand what he's saying, although they sometimes can understand more or less what he's saying or at least can pick up on it being a bad word.)

-> Moondrop speaks French (He loves to say "C'est la vie" to practically everything when he doesn't want to talk anymore and uses it more to brush things off- RELATABLE ✨💃)

-> Eclipse speaks Italian (HE COMES WITH "TESORO MIO" AND THIS TYPE OF STUFF LIKE SOME DAMN WATTPAD MAFIA BOSS JUST TO PUSH BUTTONS 😭🙏 He often used to scold Lunar in Italian though :P)

-> Earth speaks Portuguese (Loves to express affection towards her siblings in Portuguese "Eu amo todos vocês" and to also express some positivity :D)

-> Solar speaks Romanian (He doesn't speak it often tbh, but sometimes, a few Romanian words accidently slip out! BUT once an arcade machine or vent machine is broken, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE- )

-> Lunar is I don't know I don't care :P I DON'T LIKE HIM REALLY I'M SORRY I USED TO BUT NOT ANYMORE 😭🙏 Maybe like Italian, too, cuz like Eclipse is and that would make sense?? 😭 BRO IDK I always used to headcanon him as speaking Polnish because... IDK😭🙏

Personal Canonical Batman/Fam Timline (Part One)

Bruce Wayne has a lot of kids and a lot of character development. This post is gonna be my personal ideas about the timeline of him, his kids, and his villains. It'll start from when his parents get killed to the time Damien becomes Robin. This timeline is the first I am making on here and is therefore incredibly subject to change.

Pre- Dick Grayson Era

Bruce Wayne's parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, are murdered in Crime Alley. Something about Martha's pearl necklace.

Bruce is unofficially adopted by Alfred, the Wayne family butler, who used to be a British spy. I think Alfred is a pretty good dad, but Bruce is Bruce and will still end up messed up.

He is also 10 years old at this time. This will be a reoccurring theme. Keep it in mind.

As he grows up, he starts studying to fight crime. All the lessons. Maybe he meets Ted Grant, known as Wildcat, to learn fighting.

During all this, I think Lucius Fox is running Wayne Enterprises while Bruce is off doing sad orphan stuff.

Bruce falls into a cave beneath Wayne Manor. It's filled with bats. It scares him, but then he figures out "Hey I can maybe capitalize off of this".

So he becomes Batman. I don't have anything too specific to say. He's just Batman for a bit. Pretty flawed, but he gets the hang of it.

Bruce also has already come up with his morals at this point. No guns and no killing. Specifically no killing.

Alfred gets to keep his guns, though. It's Alfred. This isn't really important, but I'd still like to emphasize it.

Bruce also takes over Wayne Enterprises as the hot orphan bachelor billionaire playboy of Gotham.

Era Villain Roster

Joker: he's there from the beginning. I kinda like the idea that he was the first Red Hood, but he got shoved into chemicals by Batman and became the Joker.

Catwoman: I think she fits in this era. No other opinions about it. Maybe start her and Batman's romance in the earlier years.

Bane: I think he'd show up a bit before Dick enters the picture. You'll see why in a second.

Poison Ivy: Same with Catwoman, I think. But also, I like the idea of Bane and Poison Ivy teaming up, due to watching that Batman and Robin movie when I was younger. It stuck with me.

Two-Face: Oooorugghh Bruce's old lawyer buddy is like half insane and angry. Good for him. He'll go here for now.

Riddler: Same reasons for Catwoman. He's just here.

Scarecrow: I'd like it if he got progressively spookier as the story grew. Like- he's giving people panic attacks and spooky hallucinations NOW, but some years later, he's giving people psychological breakdowns.

Penguin: Same reasons for Catwoman and Riddler.

Dick Grayson Era

Carnival comes to town in Gotham. The Flying Graysons are a hoot, but the Mafia (???) doesn't think so.

The trapeze equipment is sabotaged, and Dick's parents fall to their deaths. Dick is 10 years old at this time.

Bruce happened to be watching this whole ordeal and sees himself in this newly made orphan. So he adopts him, naturally.

Dick finds out Bruce is Batman somehow, and Batman brings someone from the Mafia (??) who killed his parents to the Bat Cave. Dick has a choice: kill this guy or choose mercy.

Dick chooses mercy, and Bruce tells him, "Cool, you can be my sidekick now"

I like this one story of how Dick got the Robin name. He makes the classic Robin suit, but with a hood. He wants to call himself Robin Hood.

Bruce pulls the hood over Dicks face, because that is gonna be the easiest way to take him down. "Lose the hood, you're Robin."

So it's Batman and Robin for a good bit. Until Barbara Gordon is going around as her own vigilante, known as Batgirl.

Bruce is like, "Sure, why not?" and it's a team of three now.

At some point, during a big fight, Bane breaks Batman's back. Super humbling experience overall. Robin and Batgirl take care of Gotham while he recuperates.

I think this would also be the era when Bruce meets Superman and Wonderwoman. The inkling of the idea of the Justice League appears.

I don't really know why Dick stops being Robin and becomes Nightwing. Either he decides he's outgrown the title or Batman, or he's sick of Bruce giving criminals brain trauma.

But Dick becomes Nightwing at around 17 years. I think during this time, he makes and runs the first iteration of the Teen Titans. He moves into Blüdhaven and is the main vigilante there.

I like the idea that he got the name Nightwing from hanging out with Superman. Nightwing was apparently a super cool vigilante back in Krypton, and Dick got inspired.

Barbara stays back in Gotham to keep being Batgirl.

Era Villain Roster (adding onto previous)

Killer Croc: I don't really know where to put this guy. He doesn't have a lot of extreme plot relevance. He can go here.

Harley Quinn: I'm putting her here before Jason shows up. I'll explain why-ish in the Jason Todd Era.

Clay Face: Same thing as Killer Croc. He can go here.

Sorry if I sidelined your favorite Batman villain. I swear, most of these characters are going to get at least one post about them, especially if I receive more info on them. I have thoughts about all of them, I promise you.

This is all my opinion, a mix of what I have read or watched or heard about the characters so far. I am extremely open to new ideas, opinions, and thoughts. Everything I write in this blog is subject to change.

do you have diverse modern romance recs?

Yep! I've (mostly) organized it by author:

Naima Simone: I'm obsessed with literally everything this woman writes, both Harlequin and not Harlequin. Naima writes a lot of fabulous Black heroines (and she writes great body diversity as well) and a decent amount of POC heroes as well. My favorites include . Black Tie Billionaire (Black heroine, Asian hero), Secrets Of A One Night Stand (Black heroine, Pacific Islander hero), and Trust Fund Fiancé (both the hero and heroine are Black). The best thing about Naima's books is just the uniformity in how she writes every body type as attractive and desirable and the sex is very hot. Would absolutely recommend.

Katrina Jackson: I haven't talked about Katrina enough, when she's out here doing the most for mafia romances and spy romances with diverse characters. I could happily read her novella Beautiful & Dirty over and over, but it's a prequel to the mafia series which ends with my favorite, The Don, which has a Black heroine. Katrina also wrote a spy series (The Spies Who Loved Me!) and the first in that series, Pink Slip, has a Black heroine who's lusting over her married bosses (the wife, Monica, is Latina I believe) and surprise, they're both into her too.

Angelina M. Lopez: Angelina writes excellent Latino rep. Her fictional town Freedom, Kansas, which is the setting in multiple stories, has an amazing Mexican-American community she builds on. I'd recommend After Hours on Milagro Street, which has a Mexican-American heroine, as well as her upcoming Full Moon Over Freedom, which is next in the series. The way she melds culture, magic, and romance is gorgeous. Also! Lush Money, which is set within this universe, has a Latina heroine and is very fun and worth reading.

Tara Pammi: If you want to read about Indians in India or Bollywood-centric romances, Tara is the author. I liked Claiming His Bollywood Cinderella and The Secret She Kept in Bollywood (that man is suuuch a DILF he's great).

Jadesola James: I've talked about her before (see here) but Jadesola has written a couple Harlequin Presents stories set in Africa. I'd recommend The Royal Baby He Must Claim and The Princess He Must Marry, which are about sisters who are Nigerian princesses.

Talia Hibbert: The Brown Sisters books are bangers, sexy and emotionally comforting at the same time. I'd recommend all of them: Get a Life, Chloe Brown, Take a Hint, Dani Brown, and Act Your Age, Eve Brown. I also love her novella Guarding Temptation, which has both a Black hero and heroine and Wanna Bet? which has a Black heroine and a British-Indian hero (thanks for reminding me @viscountessevie).

Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai: The hero and heroine are in-laws (well, her husband, his brother, is dead) so the romance was very emotional and slow-burn, but the pay-off was absolutely worth it. The heroine Sadia is Pakistani-American, and the hero Jackson is of Japanese and Hawaiian ancestry. Alisha also delves pretty deep into South Asian family dynamics which hit a liiiittle too close to home, but I can't deny the accuracy.

Reel by Kennedy Ryan: This a romance between an actress and her director (both are Black) and I particularly appreciate the amount of research Kennedy Ryan put into the Harlem Renaissance, Black artists of that era (she created a fictional artist to base the movie off of), as well as their contributions to the Civil Rights movement which I think isn't discussed enough.

From what I recall, Katee Robert did a pretty good job of body diversity without super explicitly mentioning race in her Fairytale Villains Who Fuck Wicked Villains series.

This Book Lived Up to its Title

I had such high hopes for God of Pain because of how much suffering I went through with the previous book's romance. Like, can it get any worse than boring? However, it isn't even the high hopes that thoroughly disappointed me. It was everything about the book; the main characters, the plot and the pacing. Reading this book was a mentally painful experience...

I came across someone talking about the weak points in Kent's writing. In that video, the person mentioned that Kent tends to butcher her main characters when its their book, and I completely agree with that sentiment. Back in God of Malice, I was looking forward to reading this book because I wanted to see how Annika, this bundle of joy, managed to warm Creighton, a rock, up. Yet upon coming to their book, it's like reading another Glyndon and Creighton. The beginning of the relationship when Annika was the active chaser made sense but immediately right afterwards, it made no sense. There literally was no reason for Creighton to go from ignoring Annika to becoming jealous because she considered Brandon to be her fake boyfriend? It's okay if Kent wants to write instant love but to do it so much and much less one after the other? I thought Kent's writing would improve but sadly, it's very obviously becoming stagnant.

Moving on, I really, really loathed the third act breakup in God of Pain. I hated that Creighton forced Annika's hands knowing full well how much family means to her. One does not simply let her beloved sibling die at the hands of someone she believes she's in love with for not even half a year yet. I understand the concept of prioritising the person you love but when both parties just barely got together, do not give me bullshit and expect me to think they are supposed to prioritise each other. At least in Elsa and Aiden's case, they already had an actual connection years before reconnecting. What does Annika and Creighton have except for an intensely new attraction during the time he forced her hands? Then to have everybody else blame her for shooting Creighton? And then for her to forgive them because she thinks she's wrong for choosing her family when forced to choose? To people who sided with the British nepo babies, please actually remember Annika is a mafia princess, she was born into the mafia world. Loyalty, brother/sisterhood, familial ties are everything, no matter how un-mafia-like Annika is, she's still mafia since she took her first breath. For Ava to slap her as if this mafia princess was not going to protect her own brother? Bitch, please.

Both main characters and the mystery behind their story was much more interesting in God of Malice. This book? It's definitely one of Kent's worst books. The only reason for that 0.5 is for that scene between Brandon and the kidnapped Nikolai.

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1.5/5)

P.S.: Does Aiden really think he can take Adrian? Like this old-money wealthy businessman who came into power because of who his father is? Versus the intel collector, one of the most powerful person in the inner cricle of the freaking Bratva, one of the mafia leaders? Who the hell does Aiden even think he is... Yes, I hated his chapter the most.

Welcome to the eternal afterlife, Adelaide Valentine.

I open my eyes abruptly, gasping only to find out that I do not need to breathe. My heart lay still in my chest, no pulse working my body or filling my bloodstream.

I look around frantically. I can see perfectly in the darkness surrounding me, almost as if someone has switched on a light. I can see the dark room, see the figure of the strange woman, standing tall. She is watching me almost intently, but as to why, I can only guess.

I get up easily and quite quickly, meaning at least my legs are the same, and only when I hold myself upright am I aware of the burning; a burning, savage thirst in my throat.

And then a sharp pain in my lower lip, and the taste of the same bitter blood flooding my mouth. I run a hesitant tongue carefully along my teeth only to find that my canines have become sharp, needle-like incisors. So that explains the cut in my lip.

“You are beautiful,” the strange woman gasps in a neatly clipped British accent, similar to the one that I have grown up learning.

I turn to face her, surprised when it seldom takes less than a second.

The woman steps slowly, cautiously, almost precisely towards me.

“I have done it,” she says, gently brushing the side of my face with her hand. “I have Turned you perfectly. Oh, so beautiful. You will seduce many, if not all that you come across.”

A feral growl escapes my lips. The woman's gesture is almost possessive, and wrong. I shove her with all my strength, wanting nothing more than to get her off of me. She falls back with incredible speed, flying into the mirror decorating the wall with unnerving force.

The mirror shatters into tiny fragments, shards falling like diamond rain down on the room. The woman falls limp on the floor, the top of her head cracked open and bleeding, liquid staining her ebony hair. Crimson blood too bright to be human spreads slowly across the polished marble floor of the room.

I watch it flow, almost mesmerized by it. Staring at the scarlet liquid makes my throat start to burn even more, and I realize, know the way to put out the flame scorching my throat.

More than anything, I am terrified, looking down at my hands. I have… killed someone. I am overwhelmingly heartsick and want, no, need to get away from here as soon as possible.

I take one last dubious look at the unconscious woman, catching a brief glimpse of my reflection in a mirror shard.

My face is smooth, unmarked, my skin a pale shade of white, but what surprises me most are my eyes. My irises have become the same piercing, burning crimson as the woman’s had been.

I shake my head and sprint for the open glass door, out onto the balcony. I nimbly climb the gilded gold railing, perch delicately on its edge for just a moment before jumping, propelled forward by an almost primal instinct.

I fall at frightening speed through twelve feet of air and land, perfectly on my feet, in a steady crouch on the stone below.

I straighten, looking around me. I can smell the humans- smell the scent of their sweat, the perfume of their skin, and deeper beneath that, the ever-so tempting salty-sweet scent of blood.

They are so weak, helpless, I notice, compared to me. I could simply strike each and every one of them unrivaled.

I relax, letting my newly acquired instincts take over.

Yes, this must be the afterlife after all.

I just had lunch with one of my friends and talked about writing… the goal this summer is to write The Novel.

Here’s the timeline for stage one, just so it’s got it’s first documentation somewhere:

Write the first chapter and accompanying full plot pitch for the four tangible ideas I have by June 30.

The ideas are:

A modern adaptation of Pride & Prejudice set in the US southern states

A Mafia/chef romance that would theoretically be the Devour series translated to original fiction and lengthened (that series is plotted as a tight four parts rn)

A real girl falls in love with a celebrity with shades of win a date with tad hamilton/I want to marry Ryan banks/nothing hill/funny you should ask

Two bakers fall in love on a Great British Bake Off type of competition (and the fact that @biteofcherry brought up the fanfic idea/re-stoked my fire for this concept earlier today is VERY INTERESTING TIMING from the universe)

I was also telling @rookthorne last night about a 24 chapters completed Pirates of the Caribbean fanfic I wrote like 15 years ago that I only recently rediscovered, and…depending on how my work goes on the four I just listed, I may throw this fifth thing into the mix if it’s salvageable and transferable. I don’t think it’s one I will work on immediately, but if I get the original fic engines going, it would be good to put on the shelf and have ready to pick up and go with later (like meal prep hahaha, but this would be a freezer meal, not meant for lunch this week).

- einthusan.tv: all that's required to make a free account is an email address and password. that's literally it. the only two drawbacks to a free account are: 1. during high-traffic times, priority is given to paid accounts, and 2. a very, very few movies are only available with a paid account. all that said, paid accounts are $25 a year, and i've literally only found one movie i wanted to watch that could only be accessed with a paid account. - youtube.com: all that's required to make a free account is a username and password. download firefox, get some add-blocking extensions (it's easy to find lists of the best ones), and watch any vid on youtube without ads. note that the youtube links we post here will be for free movies on youtube (not rent or buy) unless otherwise noted. that said, full free movies on youtube tend to be put up and taken down very fast, so if there's a movie you'd like to see, we suggest watching it asap once a link is posted.

i'm currently reading all about love: new perspectives by bell hooks. it talks about how we view love, how it can differ between genders, and how the love we crave as adults is the love we didn't receive in our adolescence. but i must say your book sounds more interesting

Hello and welcome to my very first (also probably last) KinnPorsche brain rot. This show is doing things to me that I can't even begin to put into words but I will still try, so please bear with me as I've never written any meta and I don't know if this even qualifies as such.

Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert, I am just a german romance-novel writer that has some feelings and thoughts that I want to share. Also, I come from a eurocentric perspective as I was raised in Germany by a British mother and a German father.

We all remember the tender moment of Kinn and Porsche opening up to one another by the fire, talking about dreams. We see Porsche, who willingly shares his dream, not even having to think about it twice, the image of his little bar by the beach crystal clear in his head as he shares it with Kinn.

Kinn on the other hand hesitates when asked the same question. He doesn't speak at first, he appears to be deep in thought, a smile on his face that seems sad, resigned and fake as he twists his signet ring that's glistening in the light of the flames, clearly visible despite the darkness that surrounds them. When he answers his tone is level, the words spoken obviously rehearsed to perfection after being drilled into him from the moment he had to abandon the carefree luxury of being second-born that was never supposed to lead.

And this moment made me question the true meaning of privilege and how it's portrayed in "KinnPorsche the Series".

When we think about the word privilege we think about money, influence and power. We think of endless possibilities, the feeling of having the world at our feet for us to conquer and explore and own. Images of old money aesthetics and lavish modern luxuries flood our collective minds as we think of snobbish and standoffish people who seem unreachable and too comfortable in their own power.

We think of the Theerapanyakul family. We think of their estate, their cars, their bodyguards. We think of Kinn.

But is this really true privilege? Or is it the exact opposite of it, as Kinn is bound to a certain way of life, his path laid out for him without the opportunity to ever stray from said path and find his own way?

Multiple times in "KinnPorsche the Series" we have been made to question our perception of certain things. We've been asked to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective for example to think of power as something that shifts rather than something constant as you can read up on in the fantastic "Lines of power" meta posts by @luckydragon10.

If we take a step back and accept a different angle, wouldn't Porsche suddenly become the one that is truly privileged?

Instinctively we reject the thought, right? The debt-ridden orphan with his worn-out converse who was forced into becoming a father figure to his own brother while suffering from a society that makes it difficult for him to provide could never be the privileged one.

Not in comparison to Kinn, the powerful heir of a mafia empire built on blood, violence, and fear.

But Porsche has something that Kinn doesn't, simply by the virtue of his position: The freedom to dream. Something that Kinn will never know. Something he has had to give up on from a young age, bound to his family and crushed by the weight that comes with something as simple as a name.

And dreams are something so inherently powerful. They make us go on, make us endure even the most difficult of hardships, and give us somewhere to escape to, even if it's only within the safety of our own thoughts.

So who is the truly privileged one? I guess we will have to wait and see.
