You know me. I normally like to cook everything from scratch. But recently, I decided to pick up a few packaged mixes of dishes to try them out. In a new segment called "Jimmy DOESN'T Cook From Scratch!" :) Today's experiment. Bourbon Chicken. We all love that shopping mall food court bourbon chicken! - Packet was full of rice & the spice mix together. Instructions were to pick a protein & brown it up. Then add water & the mix. Boil then lower temperature and let simmer for a bit. I cut some chicken breasts into chunks. Seasoned w/ salt/pepper/hot paprika and browned them in butter w/ some chopped asparagus. When done, I added the water & mix. Followed instructions. - Result: It was...good. I didn't have that food court taste to it which was what I wanted. Still tasty though. I don't think I'll be getting this particular brand again though. Sunday Brunch 10 till 2pm Hello we coming back. Absolutely terrific time our first visit the party room packed with Happy Birthday crowd and not one person in the group has been there. We drove from Downriver the route Hines Drive to Stark road half mile North gets you in the house. We had menu of a dozen choices me and the daughter the Hard Times Pizza the call Curly Pepperoni Buttercup a new one on me. Absolutely delicious perfect dough n sauce, was told this was a pizza place 3 years ago prior to them opening and got to keep the Pizza oven. They have 5 Pizza choices or build your own, was told Mondays after 3pm Half Price Pizza yippee can't wait for a warm day to set on beautiful patio. Wife had a Double Damn Prime Rib sandwich spot on delicious. The mind blowing dish Bourbon Chicken be 2 Sauté Chicken Filet smothered with Caramelized Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Bourbon Cream Sauce OMG absolutely one of the very best ever Chicken Dishes truly a must try came with Green Beans and Lumpy Real Garlic Mashed Taters. Had a big IPA from the bar with a super selection of Craft Beer's to try on our return. Super shout out to Rachel so professional, so on her game non stop perfection of a waitress keeping drinks filled and plates removed. Her helper Dominique make a most perfect team to handle a full house. Overall truly a 5 star experience well worth a trip back soon.
