I know that Monkey punch modeled Jigen on James Coburn, but hear me out. Robert Mitchum is Jigens spirit animal.

1stly, voice. They have the same timber. (Idk what else to call it) I would definitely say epcar and Mitchum are in the same category. Kobayashi is similar too but he is more animated, going into falsetto and such. I also think if jigen sang he would be baritone and talk-sing his way through lyrics.

2ndly, Mitchum's grumpy old man vibe just radiate Jigen imo.

I love damijon but lord knows I prefer their interactions in the supersons comics to a lot of the fandom characterizations I see. like in the fandom it'll be "ohoho stabby stab boy x sweetest kid on the planet" whereas in the supersons comics it's like "this thirteen-year-old and this ten-year-old are ready to kick each others asses at every turn but they have a common goal to physically fight OTHER people so their fighting one another is limited to wild amounts of bickering for a long ass time"

He still wasn't used to it. Living in an actual house with you. Having a simple life as a rancher. Sometimes he would wake up in the middle of the night, wondering why he couldn't hear Nature's sounds, the crackling of the fire, the intimate, enveloping whispers of the others through the cold air. Uncle's snoring. Dutch's hushed orders. Hosea's tales. Javier's strumming. John and Abigail's bickering. Those strange thoughts gripping at his throat, he would turn his head, and spend a few minutes looking at your sleepy face, until he'd fall asleep again.

It all felt so odd, but also so good, in this new, refreshing, vital way; the same feeling one gets when he's finally back home after many years on the road, having almost forgotten how it felt. Except he wasn't back at home. He was discovering it. You had built it for him.

And those sweet, lazy mornings were a complete slice of Heaven to him. Laying for hours in bed with you. Drinking coffee, talking, laughing, you always pulling a smirk out of him even on his grumpier days. Sometimes cooking together. Subtle golden sunrays, as slothful as the both of you, gently illuminating your eyes. Making love, kissing, again and again. Making one. And again. Following your lead, he had grown fond of sleeping naked against your skin, and walking around the room like so; you'd often laugh at how natural he looked -sometimes having his first cigarette like this, looking at the land that was yours with a gaze of fulfillment. He'd laughed back, the homey, shared sensation of belonging somewhere, to someone, spreading through his scarred chest and erasing its wounds like a sweet balm of intimacy, of domesticity.

Maybe he was getting used to it quicker than he had thought, actually.

Despite what people complain and snark about, Bruce does in fact have contingency plans for pretty much everything. And while he doesn’t have an exact contingency for Jason apparently accidentally kidnapping the apparently prince of the Realms- some infinite space where the dead resided according to Zatanna and Constantine, he’ll have an existential crisis about it later thanks- he did have one for his kids accidentally kidnapping someone. 

He just doesn’t think that exact plan will work in this case, seeing as that plan had to do with civilians and not very large kings that could obliterate the entire world with a hand wave, nevermind the fact that they have so many armies. Not to mention what is apparently both the king’s second-in-command and brother. 

Well, if none of his usual contingencies won’t work and Constantine’s attempts at making a deal isn’t working, nor is the other’s attempts to talk the two down, then it’s plan Z time. Seduction it is.
