The real question I have: ... why are yall paying $500 for a mass-produced plushie? You could get a custom one commissioned for that kind of money (and in most cases, still have change!).

I mean: I get it-- it's Shadow. But, really? Buying the whole set of Sonic BABs wouldn't cost you $500 (even with the sounds and accessories).

In conclusion: If they don't restock -- or the scalpers grab them all first-- I'll make him . And if I make them, I'm going to undercut the scalpers... significantly.

“Chances of her being accessible by mortal means are slim to none, if neither you or Barbara’s found a real lead on her location by now,” Bruce says, repressing a sigh. Diana was never a strong contender for nursing Lor anyway, given the typical “compatibility” of Kryptonians and magic, but at least she’s pack. And at least Clark might be able to handle her coming here to nurse his pup–or pups–a little better than he’s currently handling Carl being here to do it. 

Though obviously, there’s more than one reason they’re not doing this in Metropolis or at the Fortress. Clark’s omega suffering some other omega nursing his pups in his own territory . . . 

Well, Clark has enough to work through right now, frankly, and it’s just best to minimize his stressors. 

“I’m offended you think we’d stop at mere ��mortal means’, B,” Dick huffs, though his mock-offended tone is obviously a put-on for the sake of levity. Or at least the illusion of levity, if nothing else. “Unfortunately Donna and Raven both came up empty too. And, uh, Babs and I might owe Constantine a favor now, but I swear he’s not allowed to cash in on it from Hell.” 

Bruce is not exactly reassured by that comment, for obvious reasons, mostly because Dick leading with “he’s not allowed to cash in on it from Hell” means Dick absolutely agreed to something worse. 

“We might have found a . . . workable candidate,” he says, making a mental note to both investigate the Constantine situation and also threaten the structural integrity of Constantine’s spine and liver later. He can do both in one trip; two birds with one stone. 

“You actually got over yourself enough to ask Jason to come home?” Dick asks, sounding incredulous. “I mean, that’s great, but–what am I saying, the sleep deprivation is making me delusionally optimistic, you didn’t ask Jason for anything. Who’s the candidate?” 

“One of the wet nurse agencies we inquired with had an omega employee that met our requirements and whose milk Chris accepted,” Bruce says. “We contracted his services on a preliminary basis half an hour ago. Alfred’s recruited the pups to show him to the servants’ quarters and set up a den.” 

“Pups plural?” Dick asks, clearly puzzled. 

“Chris’s pack bonds are coming in very well,” Bruce says, pretending not to notice the expression on Clark’s face as he says it. “He feral-bonded with the wet nurse on first sight of him and Jon clearly had some bleedover effects from it. And the nurse offered Jon a share of his milk too without offering any to Damian or Tim, so the effect was apparently strong enough that it went both ways.” 

“Tim is this close to presenting, B, pretty much no wet nurse would offer him their milk,” Dick reminds him wryly. Bruce ignores that comment as irrelevant to the conversation. Tim is still a pup for now. And he’s definitely not slowly running out of those, and even if he were, he’d be perfectly fine with that fact. “At least not the first day they met him, anyway. Also Damian is, you know. Damian.”

Wait, I’m confused do you or do you not ship Jayrose?

short answer: usually no but ill ship it when its funny

long answer:

most of the reason i dont personally like it is because i see rose as a lesbian and i dont enjoy any ships of her with men (its fine if other people do! its just not my thing), plus i hc jason as aroace so im also not very interested in jason ships unless im in a very specific mood (the "specific mood" being jaykyle lmao. every few months i get really obsessed with jaykyle for a few days then i forget about it for the next few months. then the cycle repeats)

another reason i dont like it is that i am constantly in fear of rose becoming Jason's Girlfriend in comics and online. like how babs and kory are both seen as Dick's Girlfriend (also steph and tim to a lesser degree atm) and people refuse to engage with their character not in reference to their boyfriend, so writers have them constantly mention their relationship with dick even in comics that hes not in (like batgirls having dick show up randomly/birds of prey (1999) having babs talk about dick alllll the time, or kory in the current blue beetle run constantly mentioning dick even though theyre not dating rn and jaime has never even met dick). and thats somewhat starting to happen with rose where shes only in comics that jason is in and if jasons not in it then jason gets mentioned (see: catwoman #62). and obv as a rose fan i really don’t want that to happen because she’s such a great character outside of jason and i don’t want her to be reduced to just who she is with him. this is mostly me overreacting, especially since she had a miniseries just last year that jason was not in or mentioned at all. but being a fan of a female comic character means that most people are not willing to talk about her without mentioning her relationship with a man, and its even worse when the man is a batboy so i’m constantly on alert

so basically thats why it puts a bad taste in my mouth, but i have no issue with the ship itself or anyone who ships it!

i think jason & rose are extremely compatible. i see them as bffs but i genuinely do think about them in a relationship a lot even though i dont necessarily ship it. im rotating both of them in my mind 24/7 so i think about how i think they would act in a relationship & how it would ideally be done in canon. but i just dont trust any comic writers to actually respect rose

the reason i said that jayrose is one of the only jason ships that matters is because most jason ships are soooo bad... i wont name names but some jay ships rely on one or both of them being extremely out of character for it to work at all. in terms of jason ships, jayrose is one of the best just because a) an in-character jason AND an in-character rose would genuinely get along really well and b) none of the stories that they've been in have really been THAT out of character (with the exception of gotham war imo, which i went into here so i wont beat a dead horse. dceased was pretty bad too but that’s tom taylor’s fault it has nothing to do with jayrose). also unlike many other jason ships, a good portion of the people that ship jayrose are the ones who actually read the comics so it tends to be an actual Nuanced and Accurate portrayal. ofc there are many exceptions to that but as of rn jayrose is not one of the Certified Batfam Ships (you know those ships that are the only ships that fanon fans know about so whenever they want to give their fav a boyfriend they shove em with another character they know nothing about. like dick/wally where people say "well they were friends in yja thats enough for me" and they havent read anything with wally in it besides dick/wally fanfic and they dont care about him outside of his relationship with dick), so theyre somewhat safe. but unfortunately because of titans tv its also shipped by The Worst Man You've Ever Met so. you win some you lose some ig

it bothers me when people claim that they dont like jayrose because they "dont like what it does to rose" ???? literally when has jayrose ever been bad for rose. her worst out of character moments have nothing to do with jason in any way. she doesnt get sidelined for him and she doesnt get reduced to a damsel in distress or something. its annoying to me that people feel the need to make up an excuse for why they dont like the ship so they use rose as a scapegoat and pretend that theyre doing it for her when they actually dont know anything about her. just say you dont like it and move on! you dont need to justify it you can just not like it

so for the most part i have no issue with it, which is why i tend to mention it when i think its funny. theres a lot of jayrose content that i enjoy bc theyre fun together and i like seeing them interact! i dont ship them but i think its a good ship <3

however. despite all that i still have more thoughts. im playing devil's advocate against myself and disagreeing with everything i just said

because also. its kind of not in character for them to date. i like where they're at right now because theyre kind of in a casual thing, like theyre hanging out and having sex in the bushes but theyre not Dating. theyre not in a serious relationship that we've seen (other than gotham war but im not acknowledging that), so i like where they're at right now. hanging out, rose flirting aggressively and jason giving her next to nothing in return because he cant flirt, and probably having sex off panel*. i think theyre in a good place at the moment and i dont want it to change from exactly where it is right now in canon. *inside my head theyre actually just pals that pretend to flirt because they think its funny. they do not have sex off panel and they dont want to but the insane flirting is an inside joke that no one else thinks is funny. but thats just me

because neither of them has really shown any interest in dating (when written in character! so we're not counting rhato). the most "interested" jason has ever been in someone is minor flirting with donna in countdown. but he did not make a move on her and repeatedly said throughout that book that he was only focused on the mission and did not care about anything else. he doesnt seem to actually be interested in a relationship with anyone, partially because hes extremely emotionally closed off (to a degree. he is VERY open with his emotions, but hes not the kind of person that lets people into his life easily) and also because he just has other shit to think about. no sex only vengeance.

and ROSE. she is the most closed off person you will ever see. she will have casual sex in an effort to suppress all emotions (which i could talk about extensively. but thats not what this post is about), but she doesnt date people. the only people that she was close to being in a relationship with were eddie and hosun. with eddie, it was all flirting, emotional moments, and her pushing him away. she genuinely liked him (arguably. i could go into how its comphet but that is once again not what this is about), but she was closed off and didnt want to date him because she has so many issues. she tried to make him jealous and did her aggressive flirting thing like she does with jason, but she did not want to have an actual relationship with him. and with hosun, she once again (arguably) genuinely liked him, but she did not tell him that. she MARRIED HIM and still didnt talk to him about her feelings. he liked her and was interested in a relationship with her, but she did not want to embrace that and didnt make any effort to have a real relationship with him outside of agreeing to stay married to him after slade was arrested. she doesnt have any interest in actually dating the guys she likes, and shes so emotionally repressed that she will not make any effort to even be close with them

i hate phantom-one and i hate the idea of rose dating phantom-one but. i genuinely think their "relationship" is pretty in character for her (brisson understands her so well), because at most they have some nice conversations. shes somewhat interested in him so she'll come onto him a bit (no aggressive flirting but still), and she opens up to him when shes at her absolute lowest, then she leaves. shes more focused on what stormwatch is doing and she shows little interest in phantom-one during missions, but she likes him and oscillates between ignoring him and hitting on him. so.. out of the relationships rose has in recent canon..... i could make the argument that rose/phantom-one is more in character for her than jayrose even though i like jayrose a LOT more than i like rose/phantom-one

so yeah. its in character for them to get along. but i DONT think its in character for them to be in a serious relationship. which is another part of the reason im kinda skeptical about their relationship in canon, just because i dont want it to be an actual Relationship since it doesnt really make sense for them to actually date given... everything about them.

but again thats all just my opinion! ship whatever you want we're all just playing with dolls

LOOK, I’ve never thought him and Babs were great! I think they’re both too much of the same to actually be compatible! Well, Dick can loosen up and have fun, but he’s a workaholic! Nightwing (which is his mode most of the time honestly) is not able to do that! When working they clash soooo much in some (a lot of?) ways, and when do they ever stop working? lol

Although would that stretch his capacity with more people? ok so i definitely think "worse" is like.... like right now post NtN, Ianthe is objectively worse on a "has done intergalactic imperialism" level vs Crown's "has probably killed a couple people" level. and I'm like... not quite sure WHAT Crown can do at this point to be "worse" than that? she can use a gun now but she is still just like a normal person. the fact that Tamsyn Muir has teased "who is the worse twin" as ambiguous AT ALL is truly fascinating and makes me feel like Crown has to do something absolutely out of left field nasty fucked up and evil in AtN in order to in any way level the playing field and make it more ambiguous. #excited

but i also think their relationship is really codependent and "who is worse" is something that has fluctuated between them over the years, depending on what metric you use. like... they both treated Babs terribly, but Ianthe at least bit chunks out of him because she needed the thanergy. Corona bit him literally just for emotional support reasons skdfjdskfskld like that man was her chew toy for the vibes. and i also think their interpersonal private dynamic doesn't map 1:1 to their like, outside power dynamic with other people?

like despite Ianthe being more magically powerful than Coronabeth their entire lives, a power difference that is now magnified 100000x after her Lyctoral ascension, i do see Ianthe as specifically subservient to Crown in a lot of ways. For example, the 2 necromancers con was Crown's idea! and Ianthe put her whole pussy into that for 22 slutty, slutty years! I also see Corona as being specifically callous towards other people in a way that is less calculating than Ianthe and more just... bc she wants to do that vs bc of a grander plan, but that might just be vibes idk…. her whole thing of only falling in love with the idea of people and those who are incapable of loving her in return is so fascinating to think of in the context of her obvious love for Ianthe, who seems to do everything for Crown specifically.

I want to know what Ianthe's grand plan (because you know she has a grand plan) is, how Crown fits in, and whether that grand plan still aligns or is even compatible at all with Crown's new, post-BOE motivations. anyway. i am so excited for whatever horrible disgusting & depraved acts these two get up to in AtN because i know it will be SOOOO weird and strange. <3 them

So plush personalities are just as diverse as human ones! You never really know what you're gonna get when you meet a new plush, and it's always frustrating when it doesn't quite work out.

In my opinion, go about this the same way you would with a human friend. See if you can't figure out what's going on and where the vibes are coming from. If it's something that can be resolved, then resolve it! But if not you two just might not be compatible :(

Lmao sticking to canon is going to be a challenge considering how little screen time they have. And I mean both couples here.

Erendor x Samara:

1) I'm going to go with an educated guess here and say that they probably had an arranged marriage considering their stance on Sky's engagement to Diaspro and the fact that arranged marriages are totally still a thing as we've seen. I like that about them because they're clearly not head-over-heels in love but they seem very compatible (both in 2x14 and later in s5). Arranged marriage is one of my fave tropes and I think all iterations are interesting. Usually, though, my ships fall into the "hate at first sight that grows into begrudging love later" but they are a more middle-ground version. They're not bursting at the seams with love but aren't also particularly uncomfortable with each other which works very well for them as characters, I think. That would tie perfectly into their insistence on the marriage between Sky and Diaspro because they've grown to feel content in their marriage (so Sky should too) while at the same time they don't understand his passionate feelings for Bloom (because their situation is different).

2) Honestly, I've kind of grown to find how horrible they are funny. Like, Brandon and Bloom (in particular) don't deserve the dismissal and downright resentment that they get from Erendor and Samara but their intolerance and entitlement can also be quite funny. Especially since they've both had a couple more graceful moments which just means that they choose to completely suck about 98% of the time. Those better moments in particular are what makes them work as awful people for me because it feels like it was a deliberate choice made for their characterization. I am aware that it most definitely was not. Their characters specifically are literally just what works for the plot but the show of positive traits makes them feel more nuanced. It feels like there's something that could be explored with their characters instead of them just being hostile to Bloom simply to amp up the drama with Sky's arranged marriage. With good writing you can actually make them feel like complex people.

3) I LOVE the implication in Magical Adventure that Erendor just felt so guilty for betraying his alliance with Domino and the consequences this would have for the relationship between him and Samara. In 2x14 she's actually the one who's more antagonistic towards Bloom so I don't imagine she is fond of anyone from the Domino family. Having Erendor walking around like he's a ghost himself just because of his broken promise to Oritel would have probably annoyed her heavily to say the least. But then on the other hand, there's the fact that Samara is pretty much the only sane person in s5 (which was certainly A Choice) and she's the one who's more understanding of Sky and Bloom's relationship. It doesn't lead to tension between her and Erendor but I love the idea that it could. That is to say, their good character traits seem to be in total disharmony which leads to the funniest fucking implication that the only way they can remain compatible is to be on their worst behavior, always. Which, in turn, supports the idea that they are in love because, as I already pointed out, they are totally awful at least 98% of the time.

Did you expect all three points to come together in an essay-like meta because I did not?

Marion x Oritel:

I'll try to be short here because I put too many brain cells into the previous ship.

1) Love that Marion is the one with the Dragon Fire while Oritel is barely implied to have any magic. Extremely sexy of them. (Also, when the maids referred to them as "Your Majesty" and "Your Highness" in SotLK, they were talking to Marion first and she's who they referred to as "Your Majesty" because Oritel is just a consort even if they call him a king; you can't change my mind.)

2) Having a baby during a magical war? Iconic. On a serious note, though, I'm 100 000% certain that that was extremely hard on them both from an emotional and tactical point of view. It adds a lot of depth to their characters (or would if they had fucking bothered to give them any attention whatsoever) to know that they weathered the stress and dangers during the pregnancy only to then sacrifice themselves to save the Magic Dimension. Like I said, iconic.

3) Okay, this actually pretty directly goes against canon (5x12) but who can tell me that they aren't totally in sync in battle and practically know what the other one is thinking? Just try to convince me that that's not the case. They are totally battle mates and a power couple and their teamwork is pretty much unmatched. They are absolutely NOT each other's weak spot; in fact, the only way to defeat them is to separate them because their love for each other just gives them too much power.

Would you look at that? I can actually keep things short!

Starfinder 2: Soldier Up

So, I'm excited about Starfinder 2. I tried Starfinder back in the day, and I WANTED to like it, but it had just enough issues with the system that I never got into it.

Starfinder in PF2, however? I appreciate the concerns of the Starfinder crowd, but I on the other hand am HYPED!

I love the preview of the soldier. Yes, I do understand the worries about the DC stuff, but the theory is sound and I think it will fit fine in next to the existing classes in the niche.

Let's take a look at what the soldier was, why it needed to change, and how it looks to be made to fit into the Pathfinder 2 paradigm.

In case you're not aware, originally there was an idea that the Starfinder Classes could, if desired, work alongside the Pathfinder 1e classes. It didn't ever actualize, Starfinder was just different enough in the core mechanics that in effect new classes would have needed to be homebrewed in order to function. I'm sure some have done this, but it meant that for Paizo, they could make Classes In Space! as 'new' classes and they'd work.

Soldier was, therefore, Fighter In Space.

Full BAB, best armor and weapons, these are the core of both Fighter and Soldier, and the majority of their power budget. The Fighting Styles are a similar but different idea from the PF1e Fighter; previously the fighter chose their favorite weapon type and got bonuses with it

That said, the Solder's Fighting Styles were a joy. Bombard to destroy your enemies with area weapons, Blitz to focus on the fast part of "hard and fast," Armor storm to brain the enemy on the brick wall that is your abs, the list goes on and on and all of them are great fun.

PF2e Fighter went a different direction, going further into having the biggest numbers. Fighter has terrifying single-target damage potential just from running at +2 to attack over everyone else. Mix in with some Class Feats that give great party tricks for murdering with weapons.

So... how has Paizo elected to make Soldier different? Could the Fighting Style be enough to set it apart?

Paizo took a different direction: what if Soldier was, instead, a knockoff of champion? Higher AC, higher Con, higher staying power. Just guns instead of the Champion magic. Fighter is good, but not the epitome of durability. Soldier will be that instead.

The other way that Paizo found to set soldier apart came from Starfinder's weapons: Starfinder has Martial AoE weapons. These are not entirely unheard of in Pathfinder, there's situations and details that give martial characters some AoE, but none of the 'everyone in the area rolls a save and takes dice of damage'. Starfinder does, it's the one of the biggest things that sets the sysetm apart.

So, Soldier has a focus on AoE as a martial class! Isn't that neat?

This is not without some considerations, and I fully expect that even just the full playtest of the class will have some notable changes, but the core idea of it stands tall: a martial class that plays to Starfinder's strengths as a system.

This is a good first sign! a VERY good first sign! It bodes well for Starfinder 2e as a system, and shows Paizo's dedication to making Starfinder and Pathfinder actually cross-compatible, which will be strong for both systems.

4. Give us a summary of their backstory.

So Cherry is an experimental synth that was made as part of the Daisy Experiments like El was. Specifically, she is part of the C series (she is C-04), which were created to work in squads and have an internal network they share that allows them to not only speak to each other from any distance, but to also transmit sensory information such as what they see and hear.

Cherry was one of the best in her squad but also a bit of a troublemaker. After El was created she started sneaking into their room at night and activating them (El was still in testing/development phase). She managed to reverse engineer her own internal communications in order to add El to her network, though they can only speak through it since El doesn't have the compatible C series hardware.

With that, she helped both Babs and El escape from the Institute, then defected and escaped herself with some of her squad not long after. Now as a free woman she does a lot of mercenary work and is still close with El and Babs

9. How much do they care about their outer appearance? What’s their “beauty routine”? How often do they shower/ bathe?

She cares quite a lot. Her wardrobe varies wildly between heavily masc and heavily femme looks, but she always looks well put together. She doesn't have much of a beauty routine since her self healing abilities keep her skin looking near flawless, but she does make sure to get plenty of sleep to prevent eyebags and takes pretty good care of her hair. She'll shower/bathe every day if she's in a settlement with abundant clean water, otherwise she does it whenever she gets the chance.

Okay, so maybe Jay doesn’t lose his original partner (Bruce? DIck? Babs?) but there’s a disaster and near death experience, and then when he comes back after a coma or something he’s not drift compatible with his partner anymore, ‘cause his brain got a little bit scrambled. PLUS, while he was all in a vegetative state, they found a NEW partner, so they’re not available anyway. Cue the angst.

But like end of the world drama happens and they need every pilot possible, so he gets strong armed into finding a new partner. Steph enters the picture! They’re both on the loose canon side of things leading to lots of disapproval over their methods, etc. Cue shenanigans!

I find it so interesting that people are saying we didn’t get DK in S3. We absolutely did. In fact, what we got was way more mature than what happened with DB (or DD). It’s a kind of twisted slow burn. I rewatched S1-3 and it’s actually sort of genius. When they get back together it will be in a sincere way. They will both be in a good place. It should be a solid pairing/relationship that cannot be infiltrated by any of Dick’s exes. They’ve already slept together (twice) and both times were surprisingly intimate for two (2) people who had just met. It is especially delicious when you consider that Dick is broken and a runner 😂 Kory is an alien from another planet, yet is more human and understanding of Dick and his flaws than his oldest friends (the OG Titans). DK have this kind of unspoken loyalty, protection and respect for each other that we want more of. They live together, raise teenagers together and lead the team together. It’s not perfect - they have disagreements. Dick still hasn’t quite figured out that he needs to stop going off and doing things on his own. Kory tends to keep things to herself and take on too much. However, I’m hoping the experience in Gotham, essentially the rebirth of their characters, is enough to get them in sync as leaders, friends and romantic partners. I honestly think Titans is meant to be a show you binge not a week by week show. It flows so much better when I sit and binge a season and I wish it was released in that format.

And I agree that what we got from DK in s3 felt like two people who are very comfortable and trust each other. There wasn't any guessing or walking on eggshells. You could tell neither of them were afraid the other would leave or that if they got angry with them it would ruin their relationship. They were operating as a family who bumps heads instead of a team that's there just to solve a case but can't stand each other beyond that like s2.

DK has been a slow burn if you review the entire series instead of just select plot threads from select seasons. Before Mar'i showed up everyone was calling them a slow burn. If people want to claim that DK now doesn't have enough build up and there's no way Dick is carrying a torch for this amazing woman walking around his house in those outfits sure... but it's realistic to me. It's just a slow burn and I've seen this on so many shows and the main pair always ends up dating people in the middle of the series then come back together. But on other shows there's usually some horribly disrespectful conflict between them at one point or the other. DK doesn’t have that issue. I just watched s2 of The Witcher the main pair are in a really rough patch that I can tell is gonna take a while for them to bounce back from.

I feel like Dawn isn't an evil person she means well and Babs is cool. But it didn't work with either because he wasn't compatible with them. Dawn doesn't support Dick unless he's doing everything perfectly and Babs is anti vigilante which is his entire life. Kory is here for it all and he supports her when she's murdering ppl, beating up the team on accident, or dosing Gotham LOL. They are just here for each other.

I love your analysis of them because they are both flawed but both good people and I think that's why they are drawn to each other. Nothing in s3 made me think he's never thought of Kory romantically. He seems to struggle with not flirting with her actually.

Edit: Justin and Faddei were both very likable. But well one died and Kory decided Justin was probably not going to be able to handle her chaotic good personality.

A big reason why Dick and Babs always seem OOC together is Becuase the writers have to do mental gymnastics in order to keep them together. Babs became OOC when they aged her down and retconned her adult life where she was engaged, had a job and became batgirl due to her own motives outside Batman. It’s what made killing joke so impactful. Oracle was a great transition for her, but they completely dropped everything that made batgirl great in the first place and why she needed oracle and they replaced it with a very poorly written character just so that they could retcon Nightwing’s past with Titans. Bat editorial does both dick and babs dirty to the point that it’s becoming very annoying.

k historically speaking Babs was always the one to play around with dick and not take him seriously back before even killing joke. She was a grown adult and he was a teen. They are trying to bring Bronze Age Babs back without actually aging her up so her actions with Dick are very misplaced. I’m not saying dick and Babs could never be together, but I am saying that Babs and Dick are constantly shelved in the development department just so that DC can keep the ship wars going. I wish both of them would just realize they arnt compatible and move on. They both deserve better people.

I never said that dickbabs is OOC inherently. Just that Devin Grayson, who could not write a fruitfly in character, writes them OOC.

A lot of people seem to forget that the start of dickbabs happened when babs was oracle and well written and they were each already established adult heroes. they were written in character in birds of prey and nightwing pre-grayson, just some minor lines I didn't like.

the shelving in the development happens in rebirth or new 52, which I don't count because no one should count magicured babs as a natural progression for barbara's character.

i love how human ted is. all of his struggles with his mental and physical health, the way he copes with them, his relationship to being a hero and guilt and responsibility, they make him more realistic, more well-rounded. i like seeing (most of) his ups and downs and how he feels both compelled to be a hero through his feelings of obligation to the man that came before him and his own rush of attachment to it. i love his funny bug-themed gadgets and how inventing is a genuine passion of his and and i ted. <3

• TED AND TORA!! They have such a sweet, caring friendship and they don’t underestimate each other. tora understands ted and he enjoys her company. the scene during the first JLI despero arc where they both leave the embassy and he calls her sweetheart… and the ways in which they parallel each other when it comes to their relationships to their closest friends. i adore them. i also love ted and bea! they’re fun :) and ted and babs! their friendship in BoP was such a nice thing for the both of them, i loved their banter and they were surprisingly very compatible! i like how they were able to choose to stay friends even when their romance didn’t take off, and how they helped and hung out with each other.

OTP:

• non-question, it’s ted/booster. i’m not going to get into exactly why here because there’s meat to it that goes beyond the standard “blue and gold are classic, lol!” but essentially even if they have ups and downs they’re some of the most important people in the world to each other and their relationship is one of my favorites in all of media, really. as a gay dude it hits the spot.

• i haven’t really seen a lot of ted ships i HATE other than ted/maxwell lord. i don’t like him with bea or tora romantically because i enjoy how they were able to be very platonically close despite the expectation that “oh, two girls (bea and tora) and two guys (ted and booster) let’s pair them up”.

Oracle of the White Rabbit

I was recently quite excited to learn about the newest Matrix movie, which was kind of weird for me, as I haven't been much into tv & movies for quite a while now. To my surprise, it was the soundtrack to the preview that immediately captured my attention - almost more then the preview itself... and then it got stuck in my head - for DAYS, on repeat. 

**Cue the Morpheus voiceover: "What you know you can't explain, but you feel it.... You don't know WHAT it is, but it's there - like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad."** Yeah, that song was dead set on getting my attention.

When I finally got rid of it, I started realizing a few days later that I understood it beyond the surface meaning; and basically, I decoded the story that it was telling - it turns out to be all about right NOW. Is it prophetic? Subconscious social engineering? Quantum entanglement between the life and the art, so that they mirror and reflect each other? Who knows...  

It appears to me to be a sort of trigger, or a reminder of what to do when the time comes, of what you NEED to do - and yes, I realize that this sounds very MK ultra secret agent-y; but it is what it is. I assumed it was probably just a message for me, but then I had 2 separate YouTuber's basically confirm the message in their own unique way, and then supplied additional info that is... quite compelling and pertinent to keep in mind, and utilize. So I'll link those two vids below the song decoding portion, but please watch them as they have some VERY helpful info in them - especially the 2nd half of Naughty Beav's vid, the Alba Weinman part. The red queen is the sentient A.I. computer located under the airport in Colorado from what I understand... so this could be indicating the weather warfare or DEW, the internet consciousness battlefront, or a whole host of other things that could be directed by that (besides the jabs), which seeks to kill off a great swath of humanity. The Red Queen could also be a means to direct the jib-jabbed peoples like zombies when they're "turned on" like antennas, once the graphene in the injectables does its work. It would certainly explain all the “zombie apocalypse” protocols and policies that have been made by certain corporations and agencies - all of which was done in a serious manner... so here’s that.

So, now THIS is where it gets interesting (for me, anyways).

Every. Single. Time. That I hear this next verse, I hear it spoken a DIFFERENT way, like a glitch that simultaneously layers a different version on top of the other one, so that they are both communicated at once. The final verse is repeated twice; I believe this indicates that the areas to apply it to are your outward actions here in the outer world, and your inner realm locals: your thoughts and feelings. FEED the CONNECTION on each level, to be and do good, and to stand up in integrity and defend that sacred space on EACH LEVEL whenever it's needed. The mind-heart connection and coherence part is actually mentioned specifically in The Naughty Beaver video linked below, too... but there will undoubtedly be internal emotional and mental attacks that only you can recognize and shield against, or fight back against to maintain your inner calm and wholeness of spirit. The stronger the mind-heart coherence is, though, the higher you vibe naturally; so it grants you a certain level of protection automatically - I feel that's why they push the jab-berwocky so hard through social/economic pressure, and emotional guilt and gaslighting; to block that potential before you ever reach it, so you can still be "hacked", or locked down, energetically.

As yet untitled sequel to Gotham Ghoul - Batman comics, Jason/Tim

Dick paced, and when that didn’t help calm him down, flipped over onto his hands and continued.

It was stupid to be nervous about Tim's visit, but the fact was that they hadn't really hung out since they got Tim back from the Iceberg the first time.

They'd been so close when Tim was younger, but after the Iceberg Tim had pulled back from everyone, stopped talking about anything other than the mission.

Dick had tried to reach out after Jack Drake was killed, but it was like Tim had forgotten everything Dick had taught him about letting himself be loved, and Dick had let himself be pushed away. He’ll take the guilt for that to his grave.

But Jason is helping, getting through to Tim in a way no one else has managed since his mom died, and Damian and Steph are forcing him to be social, and Cass never had any problems understanding him in the first place, and Bruce has stopped just assuming Tim is always fine and started actually asking and sometimes Tim even answers him.

Which just leaves Dick, out on the fringes. Not in Gotham. Not part of the normal patrol rota. Not in Tim’s life the way everyone else is.

He’s going to fix that though.

His apartment is cleaner than it’s been since he first moved it. He’s spent half a month’s pay on food he thinks Tim might actually eat, and more different bottles of spirits than he’s ever owned in his life before in the hope that he might actually persuade Tim to have a drink with him if the drink in question tastes like alcoholic cherry Zesti, and DVDs of like 50 really depressing films about toxic masculinity and also Twilight because you never know with Tim. He’s even put fresh sheets on the bed because when Tim was younger he could generally persuade him to sleep there with Dick instead of alone on the couch and he fucking misses being able to cuddle his baby brother.

He’s promised himself that he’s not going to talk about sex unless Tim starts it, and he’s not going to freak out even a little bit when Tim inevitably starts talking about cannibalism, or all those mysterious accidents he keeps having since he started dating Jason, or something else horrifying that Dick isn’t nearly twisted enough to think of. He’s going to be nice, and as normal as any member of his family ever gets, and remember that just because he doesn’t really have boundaries that doesn’t mean Tim shouldn’t.

He’s so caught up in worrying that he nearly jumps out of his skin when there’s a knock on his door. No one uses the door. All his friends are window kind of people.

He flips back onto his feet and generally tries to make himself look less like he’s been pacing upside down again. “Coming.”

He's expecting Mormons, or Girl Scouts, or one of his neighbours come to complain about something. He’s so surprised to see Tim standing there, in his good-boy-disguise clothes, that he doesn’t say anything, just stares.

“Hello Dick.”

“You’re using the door.”

Tim quirks a smile at him, and it makes Dick feel a little better that he recognises it as a smile when no one who doesn’t know Tim would. The muscles in his left cheek tighten momentarily, almost a twitch, and his eyes narrow slightly, and Dick knows that this is Tim laughing at his awkwardness. “I do that sometimes.”

“When?”

“When it’s daylight out and I’m not dressed for breaking and entering. Can I come in?”

Dick steps back too fast, doesn’t need another of Tim’s not-smiles to tell him that he’s being awkward, but he can’t help it. Tim is here, in his apartment. There was a time when he’d thought that would never happen again. “It’s good to see you, little brother.”

“Jason has been teaching me to appreciate being seen.”

“Comm sex?” Shit, he hadn’t been going to talk about sex, he’d promised himself he wouldn’t talk about sex unless Tim started it.

Tim doesn’t look uncomfortable though, he just nods and says, “that too.”

“So what, any time you’re not responding on the comms it’s because Jason’s describing how he wants to eat you?”

Tim gives him a long look, and then turns and heads towards the kitchen. “You’re not old enough for this conversation. I’ll tell you when you’re 21.”

“I’m 25!”

Tim turns just enough that Dick can see his grin, wider than before but still not really a real-boy smile, “31 then.”

“I’ll have you know I’ve been having comm sex since before you were in green panties, young man.”

“But how much of it was with someone who wanted to crack open your bones and eat the marrow?”

“You’d have to ask Roy. Kori doesn’t, Babs only does when I’m being especially annoying, Wally… is terrible at comm sex, he’s not big on delayed gratification. Roy though…” He’s joking. Mostly. Dick loves Roy, he always has and always will, but they’re not super sexually compatible. It’s always a balance between how kinky Dick’s willing to go vs how vannila Roy can take, and while cannibalism is definitely too far for Roy, he knows for a fact that blood-play isn’t.

“And now I’m regretting not getting to know him better.”

“You can’t just collect cannibals.”

“I don’t see why not. Anyway Damian and Steph aren’t cannibals, they just eat people.”

“Ah yes, of course, because that’s much safer.”

“If we cared about safe, we both would have laughed in Bruce’s face the first time he offered to mentor us,” Tim points out. “Safe and vigilantes don’t go together.”

“I want to tell you that exclusively socialising with people who want to eat you is stupider than dressing up in tights and punching people who want to eat you, but I might have to concede this one.”

“Glad you can see my point of view.”

“But putting your soft bits in the mouths of people who want to eat you is still stupider.”
